Thank you for this video. After watching this I decided to get out my kit and use it on my Jeeps. This is a good kit and it feels very well made. However, I had to have the additional adaptor kit to successfully attach this tester to my Jeep Liberty Diesel CRD. The manuals that come with the tester or the adaptor kit frankly give no information on using this kit on any Jeep. The instructions mention almost every other brand of vehicle in existence, but Jeep. I purchased the additional adaptor kit when I purchased the basic kit. I tried to use just the basic kit, but determined that I could not find a way to make it connect to my coolant reservoir. I used the middle adaptor insert from the additional kit along with the tester. You have to work at getting the adaptor tight in the inlet of the coolant reservoir. Once you have the adaptor really tight, then the tester will easily mount onto the adaptor. Make sure that your vehicle is on level ground so that the coolant in the reservoir will cover all of the internal passageways. I was having a great deal of trouble with the tester until I realized that the coolant lines going to the reservoir had been reversed. The tester pumps up quickly and smoothly. If your engine has a good coolant system, then it will definitely hold pressure for a long time.

Thanks:) I just bought one, now it's time to use it- the current temp is 5 degrees! I'm pretty sure I have a leak, there is a sweet syrup smell when I drive uphill. Looks easy enough, here I go!

Ah man that's no fun working in that cold of weather. I hope everything goes well and gets fixed :)

@@projectoverload440 There wasn't a leak- I guess extreme cold can create weird odors from the car. I needed the peace of mind before driving 1300 miles to my new home. My van got me from point A to B, no problem. I appreciate your video!

The adapters make a coolant mess when removing , even if relieved slowly.

Yes I find that you have you have to loosen it just a little bit and let the pressure bleed off really slowly otherwise have a mess.
