He actually stopped touring during their teen years to be there for them everyday. He only have one biology daughter which is hailey. Laney is Kims twin sisters daughter. They had her since she was a baby. He also adopted Kims other daughter with another man, who was also a drug addicted. He also got his baby brother Nathan out of the foster care system and raised him because his mom suffer from munchausen by proxy. She used to make him and his brother sick. So he is Nathan, laney, hailey and Whitney. In birth order. And they are all healthy happy and very close. Him and Kim are also very good co-parents. He did get custody of the kids when she went into rehab.

Recently his dad died, he never met him and in interviews you can see it effects him, "if my kids moved to the other side of the planet.. no money, no nothing.. Eminem has so many great songs!
Here’s a list of songs you should check out, and watch them in order for the story
    1. Kim. (That one is a brutal one, but it helps you understand their relationship kinda)
    2. Cleaning Out My Closet (his relationship with his mom and there’s a line about how he felt about his dad)
    3. My Mom (Another song about his relationship with his mom)
    4. Headlights (Headlights is an apology song about Cleaning Out My Closet, Eminem has said that he hates hearing Cleaning Out My Closet because he doesn’t feel that way anymore)
    5. Difficult (Eminem lost his best friend Proof and that’s actually an unreleased song)
    6. Going Through Changes (Eminem talks openly grieving Proof)

Bad husband from revival goes deep into the fallout of their relationship, and he acknowledges his mistakes. In Leaving heaven from MTBMB he lays down all his feelings about his biological father. Another song I would recommend as a classic, sing for the moment. Here he talks about his struggles with fame, which you can also find with a subtle darker tone in ́´The way I am. The reason I admire this man is due to his versatility along with his genius wordplay.

Love this song. Knew you'd like it!
If you want to hear more about how Eminem grew up as a kid, check out "Cleaning out my closet" it came out in 2002.
Now keep in mind, he was very angry when he made that song and doesn't totally believe in it anymore. He apologized to his mom for it and stopped playing this at concerts back in the day. But it still tells a sad story of his life growing up and how he felt in that moment when he wrote it. It's very heavy, emotional and raw. Great story telling again, especially with the video.
The song "Headlights" is him apologizing to his mom, also another song you should check out afterwards at some point. (which came out in 2013. When he was a couple of years into his sobriety)

He said in an interview that writing songs was his therapy and it definitely shows cause he pours so much into them. I'm glad he's found something that helps him cause he's been through so much in his life it's amazing he's still here. Also fun fact, his daughter Hailie has a degree in psychology.

Another great reaction Tom, as a long time Eminem fan - it’s so heartwarming to see you slowly (or not so slowly maybe lol!) fall in love with his music. He’s truly one of the best writers of our generation.
This track is all based on true events and those are all videos of him, Kim, Haillie (biological daughter of him and Kim) and Alaina (Lainey - Kim’s sister’s child, who sadly died of an overdose). There’s also Kim’s child by another man, but she’s the youngest - I think around 18-19 just now so isn’t in these videos.
Kim and Em’s relationship was full of trauma, addiction, suicide attempts (Kim’s had 3 or 4 attempts to my knowledge, with the latest one only a year or so ago so she still struggles I think) and breakdowns, it’s really sad.
They got married really young, divorced, then re-married and then got divorced again. Kim has been in jail previously too. I think she had a horrible childhood too and was in the foster care system before coming to live with Em when they were still at high school.
Eminem, for the most part, had custody of all 3 girls but I think they try to co-parent as best they can when Kim is well. She doesn’t do press or social media, but I’ve seen her interviewed once, maybe 5 or 6 years ago and she confirmed what a great dad Em is and how much he does for her and the girls.
He stopped going overseas when the girls were teenagers to provide stability and also treated his music as more of a traditional job, being in the studio from 9.00-5.00, making sure he was home for the girls in the evening etc.
Kim is a brutal track that deals with his relationship, it’s an old one and he hasn’t performed it at a show for years as it’s too disrespectful. (Same as Cleaning out my closet).
I’m sure you’ve got loads of Em suggestions for deep songs, but if you’re looking for something to break it up, ‘Without Me’ is really fun and shows his goofy side. Also, ‘my band’ with D12 is really funny too - it plays off the industry perspective that D12 would be nothing without Eminem, it’s very tongue in cheek and hilarious!

Leaving Heaven - Eminem…dude you need to create a week worth of just only Eminem and then a week of NF and Polo G and Juice.. and so on..but honestly Eminem is 50 years old. He’s been rapping for over 26 years now..but each album has some deeeeep ass songs that require someone like you to break down. The Biggest HipHop fan or biggest Eminem fan can NOT breakdown his deepest songs like you can because of your knowledge in said field and you’re understanding of the mind. I promise you, reacting to Eminem will def boost and build your UA-cam page. He literally runs the UA-cam reaction algorithm. Not lying lol.. but also throughout all that you’ll also be breaking down some good content. It’s a win win !!

His father left before he was a year old and he had a very turbulent relationship with his mother. He was actually born in Missouri and spent his entire childhood moving back and forth between Missouri and Michigan spending the majority of his childhood living in Detroit where he finally went to high school and failed 9th grade three times before dropping out. He had a daughter and a few years later he was signed by Dr. Dre and out out his first official album under a label in 1999 with his first album called Infinite coming out in 1996. He later adopted his wife’s niece because her parents were heavily addicted to drugs and couldn’t care for her. Later his wife had a baby with another man and he adopted her too as well as his own half brother. He was actually married to and divorced from his wife three times and they were always at each other’s throats, but after he got sober in 2008 they repaired their relationship and became friends again working on co-parenting. The girls are all grown up now and I don’t know about the other two since I haven’t heard anything about them in a long time, but Hailie graduated high school with honors and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in psychology and she recently posted a video online showing off her Spotify playlist for 2021 showing that she is a huge fan of her father’s music.

Great reaction and insight. I love watching your videos. Things weren’t always great and there are some songs that are hard to hear. There are three songs that go with his relationship with Kim, Kim, 97 Bonnie and Clyde, and Bad Husband. The first two are back to back chronologically and bad husband is many years later after they married and divorced twice, Kim went to jail, rehab, Marshall went to rehab, relapsed, overdosed, etc, so there is a lot of water under the bridge.

I comment this in every Eminem video, but you gotta check out Bad Guy. It's literally Stan pt.2 in the perspective of Stans little brother Matthew years later, venting his spite for Eminem and blaming him for his brothers death. It connects to Stan perfectly and even explains why he wrote Stan in the first place.
    It's deep.

hey im gonna give a bit of history on Eminem only because i haven't seen anyone else do it yet. He was born Marshall Bruce Mathers the 3rd on 10/17/72 In St Joesph Missouri after his mom endured a 73-hour labor. He never knew his dad since his dad left the family to pursue a life in California, eminem being only 14 months, and his mom being 17 yrs old. Throughout his childhood, him and his mom would travel back and fourth to Michigan and Missouri, never staying in a place longer than a yr or 2, usually living with other family. Everywhere he went, he was bullied at every turn including by his own family who dubbed him "mickey" because he had big ears. The only friend he really had during his youth was his uncle Ronnie with him only being 6 months older. He would often get lost in comics aswell as drawing as his first form of artistic expression until he found hip-hop at age 11 through Uncle Ronnie (late 1983, and 1984). At 14 he was given an NWA album and from there i guess there was no turning back for him. Eminem went to Lincoln High school in Warren Michigan where he famously failed the 9th grade a whopping 3 times which lead him to drop out at age 17. After that, he started entering the Detroit rap scene often competing in freestyle rap battles with his crew, "the dirty dozen". He eventually met his now ex-wife Kim and I guess he loved her dearly because one night when he was walking to her house, he was shot, and still managed to get to her place. Only a year after Eminem would be involved in a paintball drive by which lead him to getting arrested but never charged only because the 2 people who were shot never came to court (1992/93). In 95, Kim got pregnant and gave birth to Hailie Jade Scott on 12/25. Eminem at the time was a dishwasher at Gilbert's lodge (a family-owned business) working 60 hours weeks and getting called (probably) the only positive thing in his early life by his boss, a "model student" except when he would skip work to go rap which lead to several firing attempts which ended in him getting fired a few days before Christmas which meant no money for not only Christmas but for Hailie's bday. After his first ever official album called "infinite" flopped, Eminem ended up famously creating his alter ego "slim shady" on the toilet. He had something to prove ever since living in a trailer with his mom, Kim and Hailie. His eventual break landed him in Los Angles with almost nothing when the rap Olympics were taking place in 1997 which he placed 2nd in but he did get the ear of Dr. Dre at that point. Dre has said that not only when did met Eminem, did he think he looked like a banana after wearing a yellow jumpsuit that a sponsor gave him but also the fact that he was Caucasian. And I guess the rest is history.

As a child when listening to his music, his music helped me through my own journey i guess.
Some songs made me laugh at how crazy someone would have to be to do this stuff in real life, and to even get away with it if he actually did those crazy things.
But it also taught me what not to do if i ever lost it, which when bullied almost every day at school, and at home by my older sister, was a constant thought that crossed my mind.
Other songs taught me that it doesn't matter what people have to say about you, i think worse things about myself everyday, but that leads to problems asking for help with the reason behind it being not believing my problems are worth a damn... anyway went off track.
Then some songs just had an uplifting message and a nice beat to compliment it that just gave me relief and made my problems seem less painful to deal with.
Now im split from my ex with a 2 year old daughter, split custody and thats only thanks to personal reasons, otherwise i dont think i would've gotten a chance to even my daughter again.
    It's The Hard-Knock Life
From a certain point of view
    Just happens to be
(I have also picked up a strange like for Haiku)
