Everyone's love language is different. My mum would always make my dad's lunches for many years when he worked and studied full time. Their love language was acts of service, I never heard them say "I love you" but they sure did show it in many other ways. My mum would cook for him and make his favorite meals and lunches every day, and my dad always made sure the car was full with gas, brings all the shopping inside, fixes everything in the house, and looks out for her in many other ways. It's their love language
She’s inspired to me start making my husbands lunches. I see him tired and he still goes to work to provide for our little family. I wanted to show my appreciation. I def get up early to cook for him in the mornings and make him dinners at night but I’m trying to do the lunches.. He also works and studies full time. Your parents story is beautiful . ♥️♥️♥️My love language is food too lollll
I love this! I know my husbands so embarrassed about his lunch. All the guys in the office go out and spend $15-$20 everyday and my man is left there eating a sack lunch cuz were trying to save money for our next renovation. These ideas are much more adult like than just some ritz pepperoni and cheese slices. Thank u thank u thank u ❤👍
So happy to help! I think it’s very smart to save that way, I was always the same when I worked outside of the home. Everyone else would spend so much money eating out but I preferred to bring my own stuff most of the time.
Don't feel bad. My husband and I are very well off financially and we both still pack our lunches. In our case we find it's healthier, cuts down on food waste and product waste and it's not really inconvenient. I usually pack our lunches while we clean up after dinner so it doesn't feel like an extra chore. You go girl, good luck on your renovation! We are getting ready to redo 2 bathrooms in our house
Shoot my son is happy with two sandwiches. His GF won't even get up to make him that. Tell him to add up 20× all the days he works a month and x that by 12. He is saving that much money a year. Nothing embarrassing about saving money. I'd be embarrassed about spending money so carelessly.

I tried these for the first time tonight and left them in the oven too long (20 minutes). Plus i dont think my husband too much liked the pepperoni. You think crumbled up sausage would be good?

Try chopping up fresh basil leaves instead of the Italian seasoning!!! Literally amazing!!! And garlic powder or fresh chopped garlic instead of the garlic salt. Everything else has plenty of salt so no need to add more. And you can trust me on that, we eat just like y’all do!!! Lol but it never hurts to try and swap out something to try something new! 💗
Just a tip, to keep your strawberries fresh, wash them and put them in a jar in the fridge, they don't absorb anything else from the fridge, so it keeps them fresher longer.... I have placed a small piece of paper towel in the bottom, to absorb any moisture from washing..... hopefully this helps you. Oh! To cut down on the bitterness from a cucumber slice off the end of it and then take that end and directly rub it in circles around the rest of the cucumber like basically it looks like you would be just cutting it off and then try to put it back together but you rub it when you rub it you’ll see little white stuff around the edges around the green of the cucumber and that’s when you know you’re bringing out the bitterness from it!!! ❤️💋❤️
I love these videos so much! You are so fun to listen to and I can tell how much you love your husband. Even when something doesn't go as planned, you brush it off and I need to be more like that!
Yes you definitely want to strain out any liquid in the cans of tuna or salmon. And it wouldn’t hurt to put a tablespoon or two of flour and to help bind better than the cracker. Then put butter in the cracker before rolling it
When my family makes salmon patties, the only thing we put in them is flour and egg and seasoning (salt and pepper)- nothing fancy! The flour helps them stick together into patties. It helps form the crust when pan frying. 😊 We DO drain some/most of the juice from the salmon. I love mine dipped in ketchup, but the rest of my family prefers it with yellow mustard! So yummy! Someone else in my family also eats them with gravy and biscuits and sliced tomato. 😅
A little hack I learned about cream cheese that you want to use right away. Fill cup up with hot water and place it in the metal package inside the hot water. It’ll be ready in two or three minutes. If that. And for butter if you want it now you can microwave a bowl get it really hot. Put the butter on the counter or on a saucer. And place a bowl over top. It works pretty fast
Thank you for the simple straight forward pimento cheese recipe. I make a lot of the same things mentioned in your video so I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Hi, Kristin. Well, first, that tip/trick about pushing a hard-boiled egg through a cooling rack is genius!!!!! I think you do an amazing job with Josh's lunches. He's one lucky man. I loved this video.
I just recently “discovered” you and I love that you pack your spouses lunch. So sweet! I saw the salmon Pattie’s you made and those are truly a southern breakfast classic. Or atleast they where in my home growing up. Can I give you the southern Recipe. We call them salmon croquettes. 😊

Thanks to you we eat the Dot's pretzels now. We like the honey mustard kind. The pizza pin wheels you could have baked right there on the parchment paper.
About the salmon fishcakes; I make similar ones with canned tuna, and they tend to also fall apart when cooking/breading. I found it helpfull to add a bit of breadcrumbs to the mix and then let it sit for an hour or so (even overnight) in the fridge before breading 😊
I always add some flour into my salmon patty mix which holds them together a bit better than the salt in crackers. But glad it worked for you in the end.
The voice over during the salmon 😂 girl, my husband loves things that I just find so gross but I still make it for him. The things we do for our hubbys. Lol. Everything you made looks delicious! I love that you don't just do sandwiches and you always give me new ideas for my husband. So thank you!!
For the quesadilla, try toasting the first side of the tortilla, then flipping, then filling. It will be much more crispy and delicious, being cooked on both sides instead of just one. Happy lunching!
My husband would have a heart attack or think I spent money I should not of if I ever put that much work into his lunches! You are amazing!! Now I do pack lunch everyday for him, his father and their employee, they just never look like that ❣
We need a whole teaching course on how to say it 😂 I genuinely have no idea how it’s supposed to be said. My mother pronounced it westeshire, she was German, it drove me crazy, lol. I personally try to avoid having to pronounce it 😂
@@669kyia it’s wooster shire ! But please don’t change it’s brilliant ! We both speak English but some words are pronounced so differently it shows we can be equal as well as different I love it! Now off you go and practice WOOSTER SHIRE ❤️🏴❤️🏴❤️🏴❤️
When I make salmon cakes I drain the liquid and add more crackers until it doesn't fall apart so easily. 👍 Your husband is one lucky guy! Everything looks delicious!
Hey I just discovered if you sprinkle ranch powder on cucumbers they are so delicious and as much as he likes ranch, he might really like it. Just a snack idea or the ranch powder on saltines or popcorn.
Hi Kristin, I'm a Kentucky girl too.. Love anything Larosa's. With the Salmon patties, we only ever used eggs, onion, Worchester, and cornmeal. Patties won't fall apart. Before they had the boneless skinless cans I could never make them myself. I could never ever stand to clean the skin and bones from them. My mom used to make them up for me and then I'd take them home and fry them up. My sister swears there is just something missing when you used the boneless skinless ones.
Put some jalapenos in the pimento and cheese and it makes it awesome. I also will put cucumbers and then pimento and cheese on top when I'm making my sandwich. It is amazing. You can also melt the pimento and cheese and dip some Tostitos in it or cellery.
Definitely drain the salmon. Water and oil don’t mix, so they’ll fry up easier too. I do the same when I make homemade hash browns. Squeeze out that water to get a crispy end.
On the salmon patties, it helps them stay together if you beat an egg up into the mixture. I also use the canned breadcrumbs for mine. Everything here looks delicious!
Have you tried adding self rising cornmeal in the salmon patties? Also drain the salmon but consider saving a little of the juice if needed to add to salmon mixture for dryness.
I've never seen pepperoni that big. I have to go look. I love your videos, because I always learn. For cucumbers I always cut a tip off and milk the cucumber. It's running the tip you cut off from the area that's open. Then you will see a milky substance come out. I hope that helps. Whenever you cook or use something with seafood. Boil a couple of cinnamon sticks on the stove, that should eliminate the smell.
When you make salmon patties do you want to put crackers or bread crumbs in and let it sit first then you can make a patty and they’re not going to stick like hamburger. But you can make the patties and balls first and then press them out flat. And then fry them up and butter and olive oil
When washing your fruit or veggies soak them cold water with a few table spoons of white vinegar. To take some of the bitterness out of a cucumber cut one end off and rub it on the cut part of the cucumber. Old folks claim it takes the bitterness out.
This message is for Josh; dude I hope you realize how lucky you are! We the people love love love Kristin❤

Tuna pattie recipe. 350°
2 regular size cans of tuna drained

1 Tablespoon of mayonnaise
1/4 of a cup of finely diced white onion
2 eggs
1 good teaspoon of sage

Hi, Kristin. Well, first, that tip/trick about pushing a hard-boiled egg through a cooling rack is genius!!!!! I think you do an amazing job with Josh's lunches. He's one lucky man. I loved this video.
Thank you so much!!
I love all your videos but these are my favorite as I too fox my husbands lunches every day!
Thank you so much!!
I just recently “discovered” you and I love that you pack your spouses lunch. So sweet! I saw the salmon Pattie’s you made and those are truly a southern breakfast classic. Or atleast they where in my home growing up. Can I give you the southern Recipe. We call them salmon croquettes. 😊
I am actually happy I found your UA-cam channel my husband is a landscaper and tree removal and he works outside all day and work with heavy machinery and I only pack my husband a sandwich and a bag of chips but I want to actually make his lunch where it's high of protein and high in energy bcuz he sweats alot so he uses alot of energy I'm glad I found UA-cam so I can actually make a good lunch and I have subscribed to your UA-cam and like and hope to see more video on lunch meal prep and I will make some of these lunch for me as well I am a CNA I know I'm going to be make twice as much lunches for the both of us
Thanks to you we eat the Dot's pretzels now. We like the honey mustard kind. The pizza pin wheels you could have baked right there on the parchment paper.
Tuna macaroni salad was one of my favorites when I was still going to Boston every week. Great job Kristen and a strong safe travels to Josh.
About the salmon fishcakes; I make similar ones with canned tuna, and they tend to also fall apart when cooking/breading. I found it helpfull to add a bit of breadcrumbs to the mix and then let it sit for an hour or so (even overnight) in the fridge before breading 😊
Thanks for the tips! ☺️
Haha!! & thank you, I’m so happy to help. ☺️
For the quesadilla, try toasting the first side of the tortilla, then flipping, then filling. It will be much more crispy and delicious, being cooked on both sides instead of just one. Happy lunching!
I don’t pack lunches anymore, kids grown and husband retired, but I love watching. Lots of good idea’s.
Thank you for still watching ❤️
Try adding "everything bagel seasoning" Aldis or Trader Joes (sprinkle on top of cucumbers) game changer!
My husband would have a heart attack or think I spent money I should not of if I ever put that much work into his lunches! You are amazing!! Now I do pack lunch everyday for him, his father and their employee, they just never look like that ❣
I adore how Americans say Worcestershire sauce always makes me giggle ❤️
We need a whole teaching course on how to say it 😂 I genuinely have no idea how it’s supposed to be said. My mother pronounced it westeshire, she was German, it drove me crazy, lol. I personally try to avoid having to pronounce it 😂
@@669kyia it’s wooster shire ! But please don’t change it’s brilliant ! We both speak English but some words are pronounced so differently it shows we can be equal as well as different I love it! Now off you go and practice WOOSTER SHIRE ❤️🏴❤️🏴❤️🏴❤️
😂❤️
When I make salmon cakes I drain the liquid and add more crackers until it doesn't fall apart so easily. 👍 Your husband is one lucky guy! Everything looks delicious!
I love your videos! With work and and school i am so busy but am trying to cook more and you have given me so many great simple ideas! Thank you! 🥰
Thank you so much! I’m glad they’re helpful! ❤️
I grew up eating pimiento cheese sandwiches. I love it! I make my own also now, but Price’s is still good in a pinch. 😊
I enjoy your videos so much and they help me have ideas for my own family. Thank you.
I’m so glad, thank you!!
I love love LOVE these videos! You can't imagine just how much these help!
Thank you! I’m so glad. ❤️
Hey I just discovered if you sprinkle ranch powder on cucumbers they are so delicious and as much as he likes ranch, he might really like it. Just a snack idea or the ranch powder on saltines or popcorn.
I’ve been doing that with mine & love it! Never thought about adding it to popcorn that sounds so good.
These are some of my fave videos!! Idk I love seeing the sides you pack and how creative you get!
I’m so glad, thank you ☺️
Hi Kristin, I'm a Kentucky girl too..
I’ll have to try cornmeal next time! The thought of digging out the bones really bothers me lol.
Thank you for this video. For the salmon croquettes I dip them in egg and roll in corn meal so they don't fall apart before you fry them.
Put some jalapenos in the pimento and cheese and it makes it awesome. I also will put cucumbers and then pimento and cheese on top when I'm making my sandwich. It is amazing. You can also melt the pimento and cheese and dip some Tostitos in it or cellery.
I use cornmeal or flour to bind my salmon patties and they always come out perfect!!
If cucumbers are bitter, yes peal but also! cut down the middle, sprinkle salt and rub the two halfs together:)
for the cheese mix sandwich, growing up in PR its super popular but we do cheeze wiz, pimentos, spam, peppers, into the blender
Hi with the fishcakes your mix is too wet. Maybe add some potato starch.
Such great ideas. :) I usually crush my saltines right into the salmon and mix it together, instead of trying to coat it.
Thank you ☺️
Definitely drain the salmon.
Thank you!
Have you tried adding self rising cornmeal in the salmon patties? Also drain the salmon but consider saving a little of the juice if needed to add to salmon mixture for dryness.
I meant to say add cornmeal instead of crackers.
Thank you!! & for the tips. ☺️
First time watching
Im hooked. I'm now subscribing . Thanks for good lunch ideas
When you make salmon patties do you want to put crackers or bread crumbs in and let it sit first then you can make a patty and they’re not going to stick like hamburger. But you can make the patties and balls first and then press them out flat. And then fry them up and butter and olive oil
Thank you for posting this! Great recipes as always. Looking forward to more videos 😊
Thank you!! ☺️
When you were making the salmon patties!! "Don't want to deprive him for my own weirdnes" omg! Love you!!!! Dieing laughing😆 your a trooper!
So glad to come across your beautiful channel!! I love the lunch boxes ☺️🤤
Little more bread crumbs in the fish patties, and stick bowl in the fridge after you mix them and they will be easier to form :)
I LOVE quesadillas too! I don’t care how simple they are, for kids their quick and easy lol
When washing your fruit or veggies soak them cold water with a few table spoons of white vinegar. To take some of the bitterness out of a cucumber cut one end off and rub it on the cut part of the cucumber. Old folks claim it takes the bitterness out.
Thank you for the tips!
Wings in the air fryer are amazing !!
Girl, have you ever considered getting a quesadilla maker? They make making quesadillas so quick and easy.
I didn’t know there was such a thing haha!
