Hey, great video! I actually bought this mic yesterday for only 60 AUD (the normal retail price is 160 here). This is my first microphone and it was the same price as other super budget microphones (such as ones from fifine), and I personally like the look. I got worried when I saw this video, but luckily you recommend it as well! 😅

It's a great sounding mic that is easy to listen to for 60 AUD. I don't mind the way it looks also, but a lot of people do for some reason. Let me know if you have any questions about it. I am always happy to help.

I'm just searching for a good budget xlr interface and many people seem to recommend the "m-audio m-track solo", but I was wondering if you would know any good alternatives.

If you're looking for one of the more budget interfaces I would say that's a good option for $50 new. The focusrite Scarlett solo 3rd gen used is another great option. The focusrite Scarlet 3rd gen can utilizes 24-bit recording versus m-audio 16 bit. The Scarlett build quality is also very good. I've owned many Scarlett interfaces in my day and have never had an issue with one of them, they are built like tanks. If you buy one used they'll be about the same price as the m-audio interface.
If you are also looking to record audio on to your phone the Fifine SC1 can be used directly with your phone. You can also use the Shure motiv camera app to record external audio from the SC1 to get some really good content on your phone with high quality audio. I don't know of any other interface that can do this.
Hopefully those two alternative options help.
