Love your reviews..very thorough. You and the CitizenCycle channel really give riders a good look at this moped. I have about 200miles on our EMMA 3.0 and I love this bike. Discovered more rivers, trails, and back roads then any vehicle I own. My son (16) took his EMMA 2.0 and I jumped on the 3.0 and we went for a sunset ride down a trail and along the river and it really was just dreamy and wonderful. Great work, thanks, alway enjoy your videos.
I appreciate you reviewing ebikes and escooters that you can actually buy/ship to in Canada. I've been on UA-cam channels where they review an awesome ebike or escooter in the US and only to find out they don't ship to Canada. Thank you for being informative as always and giving us big guys confidence in purchasing these things, cause if it's good enough for a big guy, it's good enough for everyone else.
Great video Tim. One of your best. I bought the Apollo City 2023 on your reccomendation last summer and I absolutely love it. Problem is, being on the scooter for more than 15 minutes is killing my feet so I'm thinking I might get an Ebike. This Emma 3.0 looks amazing. How is it up the hills, I'm in North Van and the Apollo scoots up the hills no probs. Would you reccomend this bike or is there something better in your opinion. Cheers, Andy.
Awesome question @andyha1, so happy that my recommendation of the Apollo is working for you :) I think I'd need to know a few things like your size, range or typical rides....are you heading up to Squamish or keeping close to Van. How fast do you like to ride? That sort of thing...I need to setup a questionnaire like I have on my website for electric scooters. Emma is amazing...especially if you're a throttle jockey lol (new term I heard recently) However if you want to peddle a bit more then there are other options...hope that helps and you're welcome to email me :)
I definitely will get a double seat version! Have a lovely 10 year old son and this bike will absolutely bring us joy and fun around the town. Stable 450 lbs payload plus a long saddle, wow, this thing is beauty and beast.
Hi Tim. Thanks for all of your great videos. I've learned alot! I started looking into the Emma 3.0 and wound up going deep into an ebike rabbit hole! A week straight of checking out all the different offerings. I wound up ordering an ebike from Fabulous ebikes in Montreal. It's a pre-order that will be shipped in August. The bike is the EMX Ultimate. It's a beast! I was thinking that you might be interested in getting a hold of one of them to review it, I think you'd be impressed. The owner's name is Lampro, and when you call the Fabulous phone number, he's probably the guy who will answer the phone, which is pretty cool. Thanks again for all of your great reviews. Cheers, Andy.
Hey there. I live in Vic, nice to see the same scenery on your vids. Been down those routes many times. I've had a Gosen Q7 since they first came out a few years ago. I was wondering if there was any place local in Vic that sells the Emma 3.0 so I could check it out in person?
Big guy here. Our family summer vacation went to Bryce Canyon, adventurous road trip with Emma 3 bike, very happy with it. Maybe go to beautiful Victoria someday
Emma 3.0! I have my heart set on the Emma 2.0 for when I get my weight down to 399 pounds as a reward. I haven’t been to their Website for a while & seen the 3.0. I don’t care what my States regulations are & I’ll put a sticker on it for what the State allows for most of the trails I ride. I can switch it to the class I want but they don’t need to know. Thanks for the awsome review & I need to go weigh myself. I’ve been using an underwater treadmill twice a week & need to work out harder so I can get one.
Great one! I have my Emma 2.0 over 8000miles! Never have other bikes so comfortable. The long seat on 2.0 fits 3.0? want another 3.0. I have long seat 2.0, want to know if it fits
8000miles! holy moly, that is incredible. you could have Roll Road'ed this across the US and back and then a couple thousand more. Amazing. Love this bike.
Awesome question @woolcottreading, I just received the long seat for the 3.0 and will be popping it on soon...I can check if you like...send me an email and I'll let you know or you could just reach out and ask them :) I have the ebikes both at friends house so can't just look right now :)
Awesome question @mehdikarbasi3178, you just have to hop into the P settings ...if you're not sure just email them and they'll email you a UA-cam video on how to do it...super easy :)
Does anyone know what voltage should be on the PO3 , SYSTEM VOLTAGE what number should be there right now is showing 52 , It is that ok for the Emma 3.0 double battery 🔋🔋 ebike
Don't change it @DCMiD777, and if you have changed it ...change it back lol :) I would recommend reaching out to Roll Road ..they probably have a P settings pdf or list :)
Your review is fine IF: 1. You are a “throttle jockey” only a couple of times in the entire review did you pedal. "Moped-style" e-bikes are typical, not set up to pedal comfortably. Now, if you take it out and go 50-60 miles and pedal 98-99% (like I do), I'd stand corrected. 2. You are happy with a non-adjustable seat (again a moped-style thing). Yes, one can slide back and forth, but that does not give the accuracy of a true adjusting saddle/seat. Thus for me, those are both dealbreakers. Now, with that said, I absolutely do see a market for this vehicle. It also seems pretty solid in build and specs. I personally don't judge my e-bikes until I have at least 500 mile (of my own) on them. I do follow your channel (discovered it when research e-scooters, in which I did find via your help an e-scooter), and I can see where you seem to be correct in many ways with this vehicle. Keep the good reviews coming.
Awesome @NOWitsOKto, I'm looking forward to doing a comparison with the Emma 2.0 really soon....certainly not for everyone but for some this ebike could be amazing :)
@@TimsElectric Exactly. Some people will absolutely love the bike, just not my style. I put together my 6th e-bike (err is it 4 since I sold 2, I'm sticking with 6) and short test ride of 3 miles today. The Velotrix Discover 2. Things I love 440 lb capacity, torque sensor, adjust seat....blah blah. One thing I'm not so fond of, the 14.4 Ah battery, so I bought a spare. It however is 27.5 x 2.4ish in tire, thus made of pavement and hard pack. Some reviews get 80 miles on a single charge, but Tim they were like us BIG BOYS close to 300 lbs. My main reason about the sit stuff is I'm 70 with a fake knee, and don't have full motion with that leg. So top of pedal stroke requires me to have the saddle quite high to eliminate the pain (and I'm not a throttle jockey, fine for those that are). Now the scooter (Throttle Jockey vehicle) I did end up with supports 330 lbs, dual suspension and dual 1500 watt motors. Wish you could test one, MaxFun 10 Pro. Believe relatively new company, it's built like a tank btw. Ride Safe
@@TimsElectric Veloctric my understanding is a fairly new company, which I have heard make most of it parts (or does it have the Banfang, etc just stamp Velotric on them) Took my first impression ride on Velotric Discover 2 yesterday. It has a 14.4 Ah battery, compared to my other bikes on hand of 20 to 60 Ah total. I was quite impressed, I got 40.2 miles with 22% battery left after it took this 295 lb bulk around. It has an interesting PAS system. I'll call it three tiers, with five levels of assists for each. Sound like 15 levels, but in my opinion it's five PAS settings with the tiers being how aggressive they are. Let's say, "Granny, Normal, and high". Very well build bike, solid and what amazed me (I know this is an individual thing) possibly the most comfortable STOCK seat I've experienced. Definitely worth a ride if you can get your hands on one. Discover 2 rated for 440 lbs, definitely solid build and seems point on. MaxFun 10 Pro rated for 330 again solid build and easy handles my 295 lbs.

You can buy an extra 3amp charger on their website for $120
Awesome @patriotcanuck6485, I didn't see that :)
I just ordered the Emma 3.0 and added the extra charger in the accessories page.

1500w not street legal in canada to bad
I cover this in the video @guyrandom6151, it arrives street legal :)
