I think a really important one is to take care of your teeth. Oral health is directly linked to a functioning immune system. So, flossing, brushing your teeth regularly, rinsing your mouth after drinking/eating citrus fruits, eating mostly whole foods and little sugar, oil and processed foods and going to the dentist regularly can have a huge impact on your immune system.
1. Get enough rest 2. Stay hydrated (at least 64oz of water a day) 3. Stay active (at least 30 mins of brisk activity every day) 4. Reduce stress and relax 5. Eat a healthy, whole food, plant-based diet 6. Take Vitamin C (not necessarily supplements; oranges, lemons, grapefruit, tangerines, berries) 7. Take care of your gut (through a whole food, plant-based diet and probiotic supplements) 8. Incorporate super foods into your diet (ex. garlic, ginger, turmeric, golden milk) 9. Incorporate herbs, medicinal mushrooms, tea, and Chlorella supplements 11. Reduce intake of alcohol (substitutes: kombucha, bitters and sparkling water)
Jerika Uy if you really want to support her you shouldn’t write a post of what she talks about. You do realize apart of how she’s paid is based on views, right? Some people will just read your post instead of viewing the video in its entirety.
DAYHOO BAH some viewers though, like me, appreciate an outline because we’re visual learners. I think these things are helpful to a lot of people especially if there’s a lot of information in one video, so that they can remember everything or have a recap of what she said. A lot of youtubers do this in their description box lol. And what I wrote is a SUMMARY of what she said; I didn’t include all the details that you would get from watching the entire video
Jerika Uy thank youu . i am also a visual learner , && like to write down helpful info. buh never know how to summarize the topic && what places to write a new one. this helped , as i still watched the vid in it’s entirety
I appreciate these tips. I just wish people will take the social distancing serious. Working in the hospital is becoming more difficult and now with dwindling supplies, keeping distance to avoid spreading this pandemic is CRITICAL.
Another one to add with the yogurt category is sauerkraut! Not the kind you get at typical store that's been heated, but naturally fermented. I make it at home, it's so easy. You can also ferment most veggies in a 2%salt brine or make kimchi. These would make good videos.
Ty for the tips! I’d also add LAUGHTER to the list!! I love watching comedy, laughing lifts your spirits, increases the feel good hormones...endorphins.. which keeps your immunity up! Be-Well everyone 🙏🏼☮️💜🌟😂😅🤣
Thanks for making this video. I love how super calming you are regardless of your stress level. Just wanted to add for those that are sensitive to citrus fruits, kiwi, papaya, goji berry, and camu camu powder are also high in vitamin C. stay amazing 💕
Thank you for mentioning alcohol !! It's Never talked about and I keep seeing memes of people drinking to pass the time... I know most of the time it's a joke but they're still encouraging it and it kind of counteracts anything else they try to do to stay healthy
With all of the closures of businesses in Canada, the topic of should liquor stores be open came up. I said no, but I don’t drink. What the whole conversation showed me is that most of my friends have a borderline drinking problem because they can’t find something to do besides drink when they are bored. The idea of them not being able to get alcohol made some of them freak out. I can’t imagine drinking all the time, makes me sick. Closest I get is usually kombucha. Sometimes wine if I’m feeling fancy but only one glass.
Love your vids so much. I’ve been a follower of yours since I became plant based five years ago.. deleted my insta not long ago so I’m extra appreciative of your UA-cam content these days. I learned some new things from this video and it reinforced some healthy habits I already have too! Also- you just have such a soothing chill vibe and voice that is so wonderful in these crazy times. Thanks for being awesome and I hope you and your family are well 💚
Still to this day you’re still LEGENDARY! I been keeping up with you more than a decade! 💖🌈🥰✊🏿❤️💯😭✨🙏🏿 I LOVE YOU WITH ALL OF MY DEAREST HEART AND MY PRECIOUS SOUL
I love all your suggestions but would warn against ingesting Chlorella if you are mercury toxic (anyone who ever had amalgam fillings, or other exposure to the heavy metal). Many naturopaths recommend it, but if you dig deeper into the biochemistry of Chlorella and how it works as an (improper) chelator, you'll see that it can potentially do a lot of damage. Thanks for an otherwise great video!
Thank you so much for sharing these tips. I’ve learned a lot from you on how to eat healthier plant based foods. You make eating more plant based foods easier
Your salad looked so delicious. Do you mind sharing the ingredients? It would be a great option to add to my semi-plant-based diet. I allow myself fish and chicken once a month. Yeeeeees, turmeric, echinacea, elderberry, and ginger are among the many spices and herbs we have always kept in our household.
Thanks Jenne. Your videos are amazing. I hope you get to have your own restaurant someday. I'd travel to LA for that. BTW, I literally just finished making your black eyed peas & sweet potato curry in the Instant Pot. Amazing!
Great video as always, enjoy being outside now that you can. We're in lockdown here in Spain for 4 weeks so we can't go out. Lots of love to all the vegan community and stay safe
Angie Moreno García Best wishes Angie. Keep your spirits up. Stay safe and remember others in your prayers. Always bear in mind that nothing lasts forever. This will suddenly stop the same way it arrived. I live in UK and the numbers of deaths are crippling up everyday, but we WILL ALL BE OKAY.Stay safe.
Hey also pine needles and pine bark make an excellent natural vitamin C supplement. It has purportedly three to five times more vitamin C than an orange. You can make a tea with the pine. Do your on research about the pine needles.

@@lindaB7682I want to help out as much as possible. I just appreciate all the information that people give. You learn everyday and if I can pass something on that's good enough for me. Do you know where you can buy seeds I been to a lot of places and they are not selling or out of sock. This is crazy!
This is one of my favorite videos on your channel. I'm having the elderberry, along with drinking garlic tea, green tea,and lemon tea, tumeric supplements, and my vitamin C drops, also Vitamin C supplements. One of my daughters helped to get me taking elderberry before this Coronavirus started. I love the in depth information that you give in each video.👍 Thanks for sharing. God bless you.
Besides vitamins A, D and C everyone ought to drink the all natural homemade hot beverage daily to boost the immune system. The essential recipe is on UA-cam/ninancherian. Stay safe and be well.
One pretty overlooked yet extremely simple and important immunity booster is the Wim Hof Method. In this crisis, it's one of the best things we can do for ourselves. I urge everyone to look into it and try it. All you need is your body.
I always learn so many new things watching your videos. There are definitely a couple of things I will have to look into. Lately I've given in to eating more processed foods due to stress about the current circumstances. But you're really motivating me to get back to eating/being healthier. Thanks for that. :)
GM Hi GM .Please try and calm yourself down. Don’t waste your energy worrying about what you can not change.Instead focus on how to stay strong both mentally and physically. When I get too stressed or emotionally exhausted I use dl -phenylalanine capsules from health food stores. It lift my spirits( it is not an antidepressant). It is made specially for times like this. Do not lose hope. This will soon be over. Stay safe
OMG, I just did a video pretty much titled the same thing. How cool. I’m sure you have a lot more knowledge than I do though. Awesome stuff. Thanks for what you do.
Hydration in KEY- most are dehydrated and don’t know it. I totally agree, having a water bottle near you is a BIG aid in increasing water intake. Plus fresh coconut water, watermelon and water naturally filtered by these fruit really penetrates the cells creating deep hydration. Really beautiful video ✨🍊😊
Thanks for the tips Jenne!! I loved this. I thought I’d tell y’all if you didn’t know that organic red bell peppers actually have more vitamin c than oranges! And I think kiwi too! And for Mexicans watching, get those guavas!!! They are one of the highest sources of vitamin c out there

Seeded fruits are essential. Otherwise you are eating laboratory produced fruits. Fruit MUST have seeds.. good video.
Bell peppers also have a bunch of vitamin c! Even more than oranges. So eat those :) preferably raw

No, olive oil isn´t bad at all, that´s just pseudo-scientific bs. Doctors aren´t dieticians. I´ve been vegan for over 20 years and I´m sad to say that there are some bizarre ideas about food, health, medicine, etc even in the vegan community. We need to read peer-reviewed papers on nutrition to educate ourselves instead of listening to influencers and their personal opinions.

It's not terrible, but eating whole sources of fat is definitely better! Also, oil adds tons of calories which don't satiate you to your food
