Yesterday I tried to make a blueberry cake from another channel cause it looked good. The measurements were not precise and the cake did not turn out edible at all. Then I decided to find some of your recipes because you explain everything so precisly that it always turns out right. This is the third cake I made following your instructions and it is delicious. Thank you for all your videos ❤️ With your help I will become good at making cakes even though I am not talented for that 😅 If you ever decide to visit Montenegro, please contact me, I will be happy to show you around. 🙏 Greetings from Podgorica.
Hello Stephanie I made this cake in the weekend and it was divine. Simple to make and really delicious. I used 1/2 cup of strawberry jam and it was perfect. thank you
Dear Stephanie, I just want to thank you for this wonderful recipe! I made this cake today and it turned out amazing! All my family enjoyed it so much, thank you so much!!! Great job👍👍👍
I just did a variation on this that worked out great. I call my new recipe (and someone somewhere has to have done this before me): ambrosia coffee cake. I made the cake layer exactly according to the recipe. But when I first watched this video, I was thinking you could play with the cream cheese layer and use other flavors with the cream cheese base. And my thought was: ambrosia salad. One of my guiltiest of guilty food pleasures. And, turns out, you can. I mixed together all the ingredients for the cream cheese layer (leaving out only the lemon zest) and, then, once thoroughly mixed, added small-sized pineapple chunks and canned mandarin orange segments, just like an ambrosia salad, and mixed just to combine. I spread that over the cake batter layer. Then, instead of the streusel layer, I put a layer of sweetened coconut. Then baked for 60 minutes. The coconut got a little toasty. It was fantastic. No marshmallows -- unlike ambrosia salad -- because I thought that would get too cloyingly sweet. With the pineapple and mandarin orange, it was the perfect summer morning coffee cake. (It's not summer yet astronomically, but here in Las Vegas the weather is well into summer.) Thank you for the base recipe that is proving to be big fun to play around with.
In the words of my family members “Wow, wow, wow!”. It tastes just wonderful. An excellent cake. I used your blueberry sauce instead of the berries, along with my favourite gluten free flour so everyone in my family could enjoy a slice. I’m sure I will be making this again very soon!
This looks amazing. Perfect combination!!!!!!!! I think you do the best baking on UA-cam. My version of your carrot cake is always been eaten first on every get together.
I always learn what I am looking for when I watch you because you always offer others varieties of ingredients that could be possible to use. I always enjoy your videos!
Another good recipe going into my recipe box. I made this before going to bed last night. I had fresh blueberries from the garden. Easy and very good. Thanks for your attention to detail. I made this straight from the video and it turned out perfect. I really like the streusel topping as opposed to one made with brown sugar which would have been fo heavy for this. Thanks again Stephanie! I shared it with my mom.
I love your recipe. I have made it several times. I use blueberries instead of blackberries and I double up on on the cream cheese and I like it better. Tnx for sharing.
I really like the way you explain the method of doing the recipe which makes one feel that it is very easy and the ones I have tried have come out perfect and they are popular among our friends
I used to be BBC baking once in a while, for birthdays n Christmas, due to busy job schedule. But on a sabbatical I happened to see your UA-cam videos, n me,🤔 too much details, I can't,,,,, but I started trying one by one😚. Thank you Stephanie for the details n tips. God bless you. I m going to make a twist in it since no berries
Congratulations Stephanie , that cake came out spectacular!!! Thanks for sharing your goriees with us. God bless you and your dear family. Hi from P.R. 😇🌷
I guess Im asking randomly but does anybody know a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my password. I appreciate any help you can give me
@Eugene Brian i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Mhmmm. Finally had time to make the cake. I brought it to work and all the nurses loved it now at our nightshift. Good strong coffee along and the night can come. Greetings from Austria! Huuuge thanks for converting all measurements!!!!!!!!!! If you ever come to Vienna I'll give you a list of our best cafes and patisseries.
Hey Stefanie ^^ thank you for your great recepies .> in Germany we make our streusel a bit different with melted butter and eggyeolks that way they're firmer and more crispy after baking :) if you're interested I could post the receipt ^^ it would work really great with this cake ;)
You can make the crumb topping in your stand mixer before you make the cake batter , since the butter is cold your bowl should stay nice and clean And after you make your cake batter you can make the cream cheese part in the same bowl too , just make sure you scrap out the bowl really well
Blackberry is my favorite of the seasonal berries. It seems like raspberries would be a good substitute in here, but why? Blackberries are the best. Which leads me to this suggestion: I would love to see your take on the classic blackberry buckle, the ultimate combination of blackberries and butter.
hi stephanie. i made this yesterday ... so much fun & so delicious!!! i sware ever since i started baking with you, my husband is more in love with me than ever! now really, how do u keep ur girlish figure amongst all these goodies?
I had every intention of making your cherry clafoutis. But my local grocery didn't have cherries. So, I just came home a little while ago with blackberries. I have the oven heating and thought I'd just revisit your channel - big mistake. I have all the ingredients to make this blackberry cream cheese coffee cake and am feeling torn. Nothing like sitting half on the fence when baking. I looked at other clafoutis youtube videos and think blackberry clafoutis should be very delicious. However, anything with cream cheese is soooooooo scrumptious. If I were a nail-biter, I'd be doing that now. Maybe I can just continue on with the clafoutis, devour it quickly, then go buy more blackberries for this coffee cake.
The clafoutis was enjoyed, so all gone! I made this Blackberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake tonight with the leftover blackberries. (Tho still wish I had cherries for that.) I just finished eating two pieces of this cake. I shared half with my neighbor, who is having a small party. And I'm taking a piece to a friend tomorrow. Oh, another neighbor got a slice. I decorated the edge of the cake with the blackberries instead of the whole top. They are a bit tart, so I didn't want berries throughout. I hope I can find some sweet blackberries next year to make this again. Or I could make a blackberry sauce. Tomorrow I'll make some fresh whipped cream to go on top when I have another slice. Now I can look for a recipe to use the plums I have. Thanks so much.
This looks amazing! I've tried several of your recipes and so far my favorite is the pineapple upside down cake. I simply love your recipes! And for this recipe, I was wondering if I could use cranberries?
Yum! i am goin to make this 2day, but i have one question, if i dont have unsalted butter for the cake mix should i not put in the salt that it calls for?
Made this cake for my daughter's 4th birthday and she ate three servings. We're going to make it again. One question though: I'm not a fan of streusel but I put it on anyway because I was afraid the blackberries and cream cheese filling would dry out without some cover. Is there any alternative to the streusel, or can I just leave it off altogether? Thanks and we love your channel!
Stephanie, I would like to attempt this recipe but do not have a stand mixer. I will use my hand mixer (as you mentioned) for the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla but I have heard/read that once we add flour, we should not overmix. Is that true? I noticed you use your stand mixer to incorporate the flour. Should I use my hand mixer or just mix with a whisk or spatula? Your thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hi Stephanie, tks so much for a wonderful recipe which I made it once and came out delicious, evryone liked it. This time I would like to make it again but I could not find blackberry in the market, so can I substitute it by blueberry?? Thank you in advance for your kind response.
Good morning from U.K. Joy, this looks really good and tasty, but I don't have any black berries or berries in my kitchen for this recipe. What do you think if I was to use apples instead?? I wont try it until you kindly let me know, please
Love your recipes!!! I have a question, instead of using fresh raspberries, blackberries or blueberries can I use those which are canned with syrup? As in my country we don't have any of these fruits and I would really love to try this recipe out! Thanks!
Hi Stephanie. Greetings for the sunny island of Singapore. Thank you for the tutorial. I like to ask you a question. Instead of a 9 inch springform cake tin, can I use a 8 inch instead. Thank you Edwin.
thank you so much for converting everything you explain. this makes baking in austria much easier. very much appreciated! Great job!
Thank you for not over-talking like so many food instruction videos! Great recipe!

Dear Stephanie. Can i use fresh strawberries instead of the Blackberries? ? Thanks for the great recipes ❤
Walaa Saadoun Yes, that would be okay.
Hi Stephanie, love your recipes, can I use frozen blackberries if I can't find fresh? Also, do I need to thaw the frozen blackberries?
Yes, you could use frozen blackberries. I don't thaw them, but you will need to bake it a few minutes longer when you use frozen berries.
This looks amazing! I've tried several of your recipes and so far my favorite is the pineapple upside down cake. I simply love your recipes! And for this recipe, I was wondering if I could use cranberries?

Can I use frozen blueberries instead of fresh?
Yes you can!
Hi, Thanks for the recipe. I do not have a 9 x 9 inched cake tin, can I use a 8 x 8 inches cake tin instead. Please advice.
OMG! I can not wait to gather weapons and ammo and give this timebomb beauty a go in my kitchen! Looks Great! Well done Stephanie!
Made this cake for my daughter's 4th birthday and she ate three servings. We're going to make it again. You could just omit that layer or maybe sprinkle with sliced almonds.
@@joyofbaking Almonds are a great idea - we'll both enjoy that!

Hi Stephanie. Greetings for the sunny island of Singapore.

Great recipe! Would it also turn out good if i used Blueberry instead of Blackberry?
I Just Like To Cook Yes, blueberries would be very nice in this cake.
Can I make it in to loaf instead of round pan?
Can we use blueberries?
