The nervousness with the phone shaking.... I felt that to my soul. I am a trained storm spotter from Akron, Ohio. Who would've thought having severe storm anxiety would lead me to be a storm spotter 🤷🏿. Thank you for video. I love seeing other Ohioans being great. Keep up the good work!!!!
@just_kos99 i'm just wondering how are you a spotter? Without being a chaser, you can't find them just by looking up In the Clouds. If so, you're not a spotter, you just looked up in the sky and seen a storm. My next question is, were your mom and dad first cousins or brothers and sisters, 'cause that was the most retarded shit i've ever heard in my life
@tyler1671 you can take a free course online or in person. It's really easy to get that certificate. They also have an advanced course. It's through the National Weather Service.
To the people who said their stories. That’s awesome and I appreciate you for watching. To the others who just criticize and say I have a low IQ, there is never gonna be a video that pleases everyone. Wasting a second of your time for fame you won’t get only looks bad on you
Why would anyone say you have a low IQ? That’s a stupid and unnecessary comment. I fricken lobe weather and it’s awesomeness and appreciate you sharing your experience! Thank you!!
I'm a trained spotter up here in Michigan. It has been very quiet in my area for several years. Stuff has been happening in other counties and cities, just not mine.
LOL I do the exact same thing! Ate up with severe weather always looking at radar maps and forecasting videos. About to take the storm spotting class through my County
Hard to see the rotation but I believe you. People should always heed the warnings. It's pretty scary. I have been in tornado warning growing up in western PA but none ever impacted where I lived, closest was May 31, 1985.
Such a pretty, tree-lined street. Also...why do some people get psyched like that when a tornado is approaching, when the possibility of lives lost and property damage or destruction might occur?
Because some people are big time weather nuts, and want to see mother nature in her full untamed beauty, also a lot of people just want to see a tornado out of curiosity because it's not something that you get to see everyday. As a highly intelligent species, mankind is naturally curious and wants to see, and learn about the unknown, and things that are crazy, and exotic that we don't fully understand.
We had a Tornado that began in Montgomery County and in which it entered into Butler County near Trenton Ohio. It got eerily quiet and dark. The sky had a greenish look to it. As the Tornado Approached us we could just feel it in the air. The Tornado was a high end EF1 and lucky for us the Tornado lifted after doing lots of damage just one mile away )).l??
Was wondering if we had similar weather that day since I'm in Indiana, and YEP... looked back at some of my pics from that day and we had a few different storm systems come through. Nothing tornadic in my area though. To make a lame comment even lamer, I might've had a similar encounter this past summer with seeing the wall cloud from a distance. Sadly, buildings were really in the way so I could never confirm I actually saw the funnel, but it may be the closest I've been to actually seeing a tornado. It looked like the edge of the funnel cloud in this vid
Yea. Was just gonna let it record but after I watched to see where the rotation was I decided it was safe enough to go out and watch. I will do my part next time lol.
Yea. Kinda got caught up in the moment and just threw out whatever I could think of. It’s hard to plan for something that doesn’t happen all the time lol. Maybe I’ll have something better next time it happens.
@@TravisGrooms It’s okay, I know how nerve wracking tornado weather is- after all I live in Minnesota! Lol. I’m glad you were safe and everything went away. Take care and hope to see videos of yours in the future. ❣️
Vid was fine until you grabbed the recording device and went all juvenile. My suggestion is to calm down. I live to the East of Dayton, Ohio. We get bad weather here too, so take it easy. Believe me your vids will turn out so much better. As far as language goes, I was in the Navy for 8 years so, I've heard it all and then some. ✌
Hey, man, I'm not trying to be a Dick. But in storm spotting school, they teach you rapid inflows. When you said you were a storm spotter, did you mean you just like? Look up in the clouds. Oh yep, there's a storm there.Because you know you don't know the terms and stuff
I'm not trying to sound like a Dick, but everybody on here is saying that they're trainstorm, spotters, you can literally do it in 2 hours on your phone. Don't say that you're a spotter chaser. Etc, unless you you have a picture of you, probably half a mile away from at least a ef2
I don’t think I will ever understand the importance of videoing over safety, especially if you have small children which I think could be heard in the background.
What are you train for.... Also, tornadoes mean death. So why would you say bring it on? We're ready.A bunch of people are about to lose everything they've ever had..

Hey, me too! The storm anxiety leading me to become a spotter. I could never be a chaser, I'm WAAAYYYYY too scared for that!

Awesome man. Just watch what’s going on around you and once that time comes you’ll be ready for it.
I’m so sorry that you were so cared like thanksgiving. I know that I would be too. God bless you guys.
Great job describing the storm as it came in.
Thanks. I usually watch storms on my radar pretty much anywhere they are and commentate to be ready lol

This reminds me of the tornado that went through our yards in Greenville in 1969…it too, went towards the west …👍👍👍👍👍👍

19:02, you can definitely see the clouds forming each second, that was definitely a wall cloud
Thank you. Someone who actually sees it and knows exactly.
Ye, if you see clouds form randomly out of nowhere in seconds, that’s either a wall cloud or a tornado.

Close call
the greenish sky is actually from the hail up in the atmosphere and a tall thundercloud. It's very spooky
Were you watching WHIO?
Didn’t have cable so no. Had the app but was too busy watching radarscope and watching it unfold.

Cant stand air raid sirens. They always herald some sort of destructive event.
Yea. They are Federal Signal 2001. They are pretty common around here. Some counties have Whelen sirens.

For you, you think it's prop wash from a DEA helicopter.
Rotation was clearly visible on radar.
