During this incident, something close to fifteen to twenty shots were fired by the perpetrator and the deputies. With all those 9mm bullets flying around downtown LA, it's a miracle some bystander didn't lose their life. Is there a point where the police returning fire actually puts more people at risk? this petty stuff is pointless... the criminals running society get away and officers protect these powerful criminals... guys like the shooter in this video wouldn't exist if officers apprehended the rich and powerful criminals
Question for those who know the law... all those driving up towards the shooter, would there be repercussions if any of them were to drive full speed into the shooter and just plow him down? I mean, under no circumstances can someone be in the street shooting towards police officers and acting within the law, correct? So a driver could plow into them to stop them from shooting and not face any sort of penalty?
Correct. Once we're past the allegedly stage and fully into he obviously has a gun and is shooting then deadly force is legally authorized. The courts have ruled at that point ANY amount of deadly force is the same as another, bullet, knife, car, or in the case of the Dallas police shooting strapping 5 pounds of explosives to a robot and driving up to the suspect. It's all the same.
I would think you would be sued civilly, for wrongful death, if the suspect dies. If a cop did it, it would be classified as excessive force. The cop would probably loose his job.
@@ladweeb1798 No. Like I said before if deadly force is justified then ANY type of deadly force is acceptable, even running him over with a car. Legally, and really common sense wise, there is no difference between shooting someone and running them over.

My thoughts exactly.
Being shot at is stressful and scary I respect officers that run towards danger for our safety
It's also exciting to a degree. I've been shot at a few times with rounds that missed my head by less than a foot and life just feels boring now. It all just depends on how you're wired.

I count 6 shots, 2 “allegedly” by the suspect, meaning 4 by LEOs. Suspect wounded more than once. Moving target + bystanders. Until you’re on tape with a better ratio, enjoy your armchair.
This was only a few day ago but the camera quality looks like it's from the early 2000s
I can't believe something like this could happen in a neighborhood where there are people trying to live quiet lives in their tents.
Now that's hilarious!!😉
Apparently by the media should say police allegedly were also in a shootout or allegedly used force. I think the suspect identified as a range target and was assisting police in alleged pistol training!
Exactly next time i see a police brutality video it better say allegedly!!!
I'm sure he was a good boy and never did anything wrong

It is very imperative to now take a moment of our precious time just to fully appreciate what a productively peaceful and pragmatic people we have here!
A proud culture without peer, an everlasting exemplar of our species! Each and every one of them are, without a doubt, pillars of their community. With their benevolent bodacious bombastic contributions to our diverse optimistic tolerant society, there is nothing they can’t accomplish.
Let’s all give each and every one of these flawless saints our full love and support. From since time immemorial, they have dedicated their lives to hard diligent work and the fruits of their hard labor are for all of us to enjoy.
They provide everlasting guidance and inspiration with their fine sense of ethics & morality, boundless compassion, and most apparent of all, their keen intellect. Every single one of these cherished aforementioned attributes are second to none when these magnificent people are behaving out in public!
Indeed, these people will always bring tremendous happiness and prosperity to anyone blessed enough to cross paths with them. They are always warmly welcomed to every place they visit, every business they patronize, and every restaurant they eat at!
Despite all the deceitful statistics and hateful propaganda being shoved in our resolute faces each and every hour every day by the Mainstream Media, the obvious indelible irrefutable truth is plain for all of us normal decent human beings to see.
No matter heretofore and after, we all can sleep safely and soundly at night knowing that they are always nearby to assist us whenever disaster strikes!

Yes. You will be sued civilly.

Why is it ok to say police shot someone but criminals get the benefit of the doubt with the word allegedly?
Because the people who shoot at or kill cops are just bad apples 🍎
Because these WOKE idiots never been more Asleep
Exactly 😡😡😡😡
In order to not be blacklisted, cancelled, sued, protested, lose advertisers, or be a point of controversy, everyone but police are "allegedly" armed even after firing shots. Social media has ruined a lot of things.
Because they’ll release the details of a civilians wrong doing, proven or not, immediately after it happens. If the police screw up, it’ll be weeks before you hear the actual details of an incident. If you hear about it from them at all.
That's really unfortunate the suspect survived.
USA is an awesome place! Shoot 'em ups every day in the middle of the street. Exciting stuff!!
During this incident, something close to fifteen to twenty shots were fired by the perpetrator and the deputies. With all those 9mm bullets flying around downtown LA, it's a miracle some bystander didn't lose their life. Is there a point where the police returning fire actually puts more people at risk? A stray bullet kills you just as dead as an intentionally fired one.
How do you have a shootout with an “allegedly” armed man?
Need to be convicted by a jury of your peers
Yet again, more LAPD WITHOUT SHOULDER MICS!!! When are these guys gonna learn to leave the radio on the belt, two hands on the gun, shoot, then use support hand to key up your shoulder mic. That department allowing this is just dangerous.

@@thatonedoood I mean, it's what, maybe $80/officer? smdh
They have the option to use one if they want. I did for many years but unfortunately it is an old school mentality that’s still being handed down.
@@retiredslo In my opinion, it should be mandated to use one. You cannot do your job if one hand is constantly futzing around with a radio.
whenever we asked for shoulder mikes we were told, "too expensive." like we should buy them out of our uniform allowance? got 'em eventually....
I love the way they say alleged armed.
I have to say it's quite interesting to watch these interactions from different points of view. It gives not only a much more definitive frame of reference, but also a raw look at what each of these officers uniquely experience. It's a 360 degree perspective.
I cant imagine rolling up to the light and seeing someone playing GTA IRL
The word "allegedly" is often misused or lost it's meaning. The suspect was not allegedly pointing and shooting a firearm, he was actually doing so!!!
Byproduct of living in an insanely litigious society. Thank the lawyers for that kind of crap, as well as having the dumbest warning labels on products (and in multiple languages).
This is how news are

clearly see him holding pistol and shooting, but he only " allegedly " did this huh? what a joke. he was caught on camera red handed. there is nothing alleged about this
Why are so many of you idiots trying to make this some sort of point?
Alleged is a legal designation. It’s really not that complicated.
The alledged suspect was allegedly a human being supposedly wearing clothes, carrying a supposed sports bag and supposedly in an alledged situation supposedly had an gun an alledgedly fired supposed bullets to alledged police officers.
It's a bunch of annoying specifics. The allegation in this situation is only a matter of due process.
Still, just because it's obvious which conclusion a jury or judge would come to, doesn't mean we get to judge in any official capacity
Next you can expect the pedestrian to file a lawsuit against the LAPD for being rude to him by telling him "Get out of here, man"
Yeah, for saying “man”, and “misgendering” them, no doubt.

@@sethrauldatta7456 Are you referring to the powerful criminals called politicians, judges, DA's and rich activists? Asking for a friend.
I'd have run him over
I was just thinking the same thing, Wouldve loved to see a pedestrian flatten him
I would think you would be sued civilly, for wrongful death, if the suspect dies.
Looks like they both need to go to the range more. Firing a weapon is one thing, firing a weapon without hitting the target is a concern. You can't fire rounds in a populated area. Surprised a civilian wasn't hit.

I have a question, what happens if any of the cars behind the guy just ran into the dude to stop him. Will the driver be charged or something ?
No. Well let me backtrack that.. in the normal parts of the country no. In the land of fruits and nuts anything is possible.
America is a daily movie of all genre. They are literally having a shootout with a bunch of cars in between. And lets be honest, only a fractions of the bullets shot actually hits the target. This is crazy!!!
“I’m ah..gonna cross”😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 in the middle of gun fire? LA sounds quite interesting 🤔
"allegedly armed suspect", then HOW COULD THERE HAVE BEEN A SHOOTOUT??
From Wikipedia: "In law, an allegation is a claim of an unproven fact by a party in a pleading, charge, or defense. Until they can be proved, allegations remain merely assertions."
It should be noted here that "proven" refers not to what you can prove with even just one piece of evidence, but what *has been* proven in a court of law with the totality of the facts
