Nothing about this man’s behavior is bizarre. My heart goes out to him.
True. Odd comment from the narrator.
It's very bizarre. Lots of blubbering and babbling.
The man had to fire his weapon and take a life in the line of duty and is very clearly in shock. Not that odd at all. @@sananton2821
@sananton2821 I'm sure you would have handled it a lot better than that man did🙄
It’s extremely strange. I want to see the gun she drew on him.
Actually, the cop sounds like a good cop. He legit gave her the benefit of the doubt and treated it like a likely medical emergency. Why are gunshot noises censored?
Cause UA-cam is beholden to advertisers. Advertisers don’t like boomsticks.
It’s not the gun shot noise that is censored, it’s the bullet hitting the body.
All of the above, and this channel wants to stay monetized. There are other channels if you want to see it uncensored.
Because it might offend someone in this kindergarten country we live in.
Hey. I agree. I wonder the same. A few months ago I saw a brittish (I believe) report from Ukraine and the journalist team + guide got like at least 10 close VERY close fire shots all around them. What they decided to censor though? Them CURSING! Censorship is just baffling.
What he said about America, was said out of pure shock. When a person is put in the position to have to take someones life, they sometimes say thing that dont make much sense. The reporter made it seem as if he was being sketchy somehow, and that rubbed me the wrong way. That man was hurt, confused, worried amongst many other things. He did nothing wrong, he was very polite and was trying very hard to help that woman. She escalated that situation and unfortunately lost her life, that officer did what he had to do.
I was looking for this comment. There was nothing “bizarre” about what he said. Reporters love to reach.
It almost seemed like he was trying to say its a miracle and God bless America came after... I think the only thing bizarre I'd the anchor calling it bizarre! He was in shock, I'd like to see how she would handle the same situation.

God bless the Officer! He was heartbroken by what happened. I hope he gets good counseling and heartfelt support. Remember Sir you did your Best. This was not your fault. God bless you and your family and the family of the Lady. ❤️
I feel so sorry for the officer who did all that he could. I hope he continues to be on the force because we need more cops like him.
He could have tazed here? No?
@@0Apostata0 No. When she pulled out a FA, lethal force was the only option. If she refused to comply, but did not have a FA, medical personnel or a negotiator could have been utilized. A tazer is less than lethal. Two different types of defense.
@@0Apostata0 tasers aren’t some magical neutralizer, they don’t work half the time especially if they have to get through clothing.

She seemed impaired not suicidal.
Then why would she be pulling her gun out while being unresponsive to his concerns? That in itself was a weird action from the woman🤷
He did her a favor, there’s no need for him to feel guilty.
My heart breaks for this officer. He had no other choice, she was clearly not in her right mind. This just further shows that mental illness is on the rise. Please dont be afraid to seek professional help if you need. We need to end the negative stigma surrounding therapy. Its okay to not be okay, its okay to ask for help, however its not okay to put others in danger like this woman did, she has now permanently effected the lives of two other people.
And people wonder why police react the way they do when people don’t comply and how they often have to react in a split second when put in a hanger out situation. Prayers for this officer
It HURTS me to see the good officers having to deal with this, it really does. Officers like this man at least from this video alone have my heart. I wish him the best.
A huge percentage of cops don’t go back to the job after killing a person. I hope he truly knows that this lady was trying to do this, as awful as it seems, and he did NOTHING evil.
Almost all cops are good officers... nobody wants to ever have to pull their gun, much less use it. Your snarky remark is pathetic.
Thats their job that they chose. They are aware of the potentials.
its his job
@@POW_RYDER Just because a job involves risk doesn't mean that the worker deserves any less sympathy for having bad things happen. Firefighters are aware of what their job could involve, but it makes complete sense to feel sympathy for one who witnessed someone die in a burning building. For (good) police officers, their job is keeping the public safe and responding to emergencies. They take the burden of that risk so other people don't have to. That doesn't mean they waive their rights to have emotions about what they experience.
I hope this officer gets all the love, help, and full support he deserves. He did such an incredible job
He probably had to go to mandatory therapy. I would hope so any way.

@@Jojo-fy2udI guess the better point would be that evil cannot be retained in people of any profession. It’s hard to label all people in a specific line of work as soulless individuals. This is why body cameras are so important. You could tell this officer was more concerned about figuring out the situation than escalation. There didn't seem to be any unprofessional behavior. He gave the woman plenty of opportunity to explain what's going on without yelling. He seemed to have correctly identified the threat (the gun). It would be difficult for a lawyer to argue that a cop placed a gun on the scene if everyone's on bodycam.
Time, from your perspective? your reality of time may be very different from someone else's state of mind. If it took all day to get this resolved without shooting her that would have been a better outcome, but we will never know.

Unlikely. He was far to clean about it. By the book AF.
He was apologizing for putting a round through the innocent womans car, not for what he did. He should have had a better back drop for shooting multiple rounds. A good cop would die before shooting straight at multiple innocent civilians to save himself....
He needs to be more professional and be better at the compartmentalizing and control his emotions better

Exactly! I think it was obvious he was in shock, and just ended up saying something about America-maybe that so many Americans are armed or that so many shootings happen here. Idk why the narrator made the comment about him saying “weird comments”. He’s only human and went into shock.
I absolutely believe this woman had a death wish. Couldn’t get herself to drive the wrong way into traffic, didn’t have the guts to shoot herself, so she elected to make some poor stranger shoot her. Infuriating.

There is nothing bizarre about that Officer's actions or words both before, during and after he fired those shots. He had to make a split second decision whether to open fire to protect his life and those around him. It shows strength of character that he starts apologising, even though he should never have to. His checked on the welfare of the person in the jeep as he arrived on scene, he seemed to believe that the woman needed medical help rather that assume she was a criminal. Shots fired then immediately tries to help her and those around him. He's clearly in the Police for all the right reasons. That community are very lucky to have him.
