Duramax LML egr & dpf delete H&S, 4” straight pipe, incognito delete

After repeated issues with the dpf plugging and 100’s of miles on “drives to nowhere” attempting to let it clean itself. After dropping down the dpf and cleaning the dpf myself with baking soda and water pressure. After 2 egr replacements I researched and researched for weeks. The only answer is sell the truck or delete. I chose an incognito delete. All visible sensors in place and DEF tank still in place in case of a visual inspection. Lift pump next. IT’S ALIVE! It can finally breathe! Went from 9.5mpg to18 mpg now. Just doing my part to reduce the impact on climate change…..

You got it. Ya, kinda weird that the manufacturer doesn’t help with better instructions. Trim down the hose that makes a u-turn a 1/2” at a time to eliminate a kink that wants to develop in that hose from bending it

Thought I'd add that those two nuts on the left side of up-pipe flange are 1/2", not 13mm...the 13mm might work but was sloppy so for grins I grabbed a 1/2" wrench and fit perfectly tight as less risk of wrecking the nuts. The ratchet strap is genius...worked on all 4, 2 to the hood hinge, 1 down the drivers side bell housing and last and most stubborn down the passenger side up-pipe opening. Be calm and patient with plenty of time on your hands.

I have a 2013 LML and I would like to know what delete kit did you get? And did you use plate blockers?

I’m so bad at this shtuff. A year later…… it’s the kit without the egr cooler port on the down pipe. If you block off with plates that get slid in between, the billow section of the factory down pipe will burst and you’ll be doing the kit I used anyways. FYI

Have you seen anyone have the bigger hose that goes behind the turbo blocked off?

I think you are talking about block off plates that slide in between 2 flanges on that big down pipe behind turbo that is smashed up against the firewall and has the dreaded heat shield attached to it. If you block off the eve cooler side of the “t” with those cheap block off plates then all your turbos pressure blows out the short length of “billowed” pipe before the plates. Google the word “billows” or “billowed exhaust pipe” . My point is, don’t do it. Spend the money and time to replace the down pipe with a deleted one(doesn’t have the egr “t” or billows.
