You couldn't do all of the songs that the Bee Gees were a part of. They are literally second to Paul McCartney for songs, they wrote their own songs, wrote other people's songs and produced them. They got started into singing when Barry was only 9 years old and the twins were 6years old, and Barry was asked what he wanted to do when he got older. He wanted to sing and Robin and Maurice asked him if they could sing with him. They got started just a few years later when they appeared on a television show. You would actually have to print up the complete list of songs they wrote and/or sang, because many different artists also sang songs written by the Bee Gees, to include Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, Islands in the Stream.
You are correct on names, though Maurice is pronounced Morris, but it tricked me too, try "Alone" by them, it's pretty good and holds a special place for me
Any chance you could listen to the live version of Help by John Farnham with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, he's another of Australia's favourite singers. The Bee Gees were huge here.
Awesome reaction brutha! I just LOVE seeing younger folks discover older music. A few groups you might also enjoy, I didn’t them them in your playlist, but you may have reacted to them I’m not sure. Player - “Baby come back” Ambrosia - “Your the biggest part of me” and “How much I feel” Also, I know I’ve asked before on IG, but could you please react to the group Steelheart and their songs “She’s Gone” or “I’ll never let you go” Like I said I believe you would really enjoy “Mike” Miljenko’s vocals!!
Do you realize what you do? You and other reactors like you? No. We can't go back to the first time we heard the song. BUT, watching people like you watch it for the first time, helps us feel like we are re-living it. It's SO much fun. Please keep doing what you do. I'm a big fan.
Brings a smile to my face. I've been a fan since the 70's. I was crushing so hard as a 12 year old on their youngest brother Andy. He too has passed on.
Yes!!! You make us relive them and that’s awesome. I was in elementary school when they came out. But really fell in love with them when Saturday Night and Stayin Alve came out. Omg 😮
Those guys are forever etched in music history. God's gift to us!! Thank God for them. I thank God BERRY is still with us. Amazing and incredible!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes - that is Barry. The second one is Robin - he is Maurice's twin. Maurice is the third one. There was a younger brother in the family, Andy. Andy died first - many years ago - cardiac issue. Maurice died next - I think complications post surgery (intestinal I think). Robin died more recently from cancer. Barry is the oldest and the only one left. You'll find Robin does some lead vocals too. Maurice does the fewest lead vocals.
Barry and Robin used to alternate singing lead. Robin has been said to have the most amazing, beautiful, heartfelt and unique voice that no one has ever come close to then and now. His 2 brothers have also said that.
The Bee Gees, British, have been around since they were boys in the 60s. Barry, Robin and Maurice were twins. Barry is the only one still alive. Many of the songs you played were from the movie, "Saturday Night Fever" - "Stayin' Alive." They have produced many, many, many songs AND, THEY WROTE THEM ALL. Barry sang a duet with Barbra Streisand in the 80s called "Guilty." Fabulous. They also wrote the song "Islands in the Stream," which was a huge hit in 1985, a duet sung by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. There was a younger brother named Andy Gibbs who was an overnight success in the 70s, but sadly he was a coke addict and overdosed when he was 30. They were so huge in the 70s during the disco phase in America. In the early 80s for some reason, the disco craze took a sharp turn south and people were actually burning bonfires of BeeGees records. They had already sold millions and millions of albums and were really hurt that the public turned on them. In an interview, Robin said, "What did we do to deserve this?" But, it didn't stop them and they continued their success through the 20th century. One of the GOATS.
Maurice and robin were twins. Barry is the oldest. They had another brother andy that also passed away. They are the best. Just love their songs. Lots of meaning and soothing. Enjoy.
Hi there Da Real Adogg, you are watching the best harmonic group ever, in my opinion, I grew up listening to their music, & have always loved them, Barry the older brother, & twins Robin & Maurice Gibb, both who are sadly gone & deeply missed, & while their younger brother Andy wasn't an actual Bee Gee, he joined them once onstage, all great singers, & thankfully forever remembered in their recordings, so, here are more songs to check out if you haven't already heard these; In The Morning; Words; Run To Me; I started A Joke; One; Alone; For Whom The Bell Tolls; They wrote all their songs, & songs for other people too, fantastic talent! & so many more titles, I am enjoying your reaction to these great guys, & I like your show too, thank you for reminding me!
It is fun to watch you discover the Bee Gee’s. By the way, that stands for the brothers Gibb. Their last name. Their gig was 3 part harmony. There was no training. They just had it. Barry was the lead on this song. He is the eldest brother, and sadly, the last survivor. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. There was also a fourth brother, Andy. He was the baby of the family. Also, a singer. They were/are a very talented family.
Here is some Bee Gees trivia time! The 3 brothers write all their own music AND have written hits for other artists as well. "Islands In The Stream" Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton ""Guilty", "Woman in Love", and "What Kind of Fool" Duets with Barry and Barbara Streisand "Grease" Frankie Valli ""Heartbreaker" Dionne Warwick "Emotion" Samantha Sang "If I can't Have You" Yvonne Elliman "Immortality" Celine Dion with Bee Fees back up Just to name a few. The amazing thing about their songwriting is that none of the brothers read music!
It is so beautiful to see somebody appreciate the Bee Gees and their voices. Every time I hear them sing I just feel like I’m in heaven and I’m not joking there’s something so very special about them. And you look adorable when you listen to them. I am new on your channel and I love that you love the Bee Gees.
The Foo fighters!! Another band that is recent. Is coming out with their own album in July of Bee Gees songs six of them. They are calling themselves the Dee Gees. The head singer of the Foo fighters saw the documentary on the Bee Gees, and you he had to do something for their incredible legacy. Last Saturday they were the first concert at Madison square garden since covid. Barry Gibbs face was in the middle of the band. That's how much respect other musicians have for their music. Look it up it's called the Foo fighters singing as the Dee Gees.
Maurice is pronounced as Morris. He and Robin were twins. They had a younger brother Andy but he passed away at a fairly young age. He was a solo act. They wrote all their songs plus songs for others such as Diana Ross and Barbra Streisand.
Yes Barry is lead singer and oldest Gibb brother, Robin and Maurice Gibb are twins and Andy Gibb was their little brother. They wrote hundreds of hits for themselves and many top artists including M Jackson,Dianna Ross, Celine Dion, Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Pardons Island in the Stream just to name a few.
There’s actually a fourth Gibb brother who’s the youngest and the first to pass away (too young) his name is Andy! Andy had a pretty successful solo career in the 70s and sounds like his brothers! He joined his brothers on “ we should be dancing” video which features a young John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever! Look up this Bee Gee song as well as some songs from Andy Gibb!!
This was back in the mid 70's, it's ok to listen 2 or 3 times a day. I was jammin this on 8-track tape in the car with a eq/booster and a pair of 6x9 speakers in the rear deck. And we thought that was really something
Barry is the only one left. Robin and Maurice passed away. They also had a younger brother Andy Gibb who looked like a young Barry and sounded just like him. He died of an overdose at a young age. Check out Andy Gibb songs.
I'm a hopeless romantic theses songs are the most romantic songs for me they bring back so many memories and nostalgia they are the best of all time not to mention Barry is the sexiest man alive ❤
FYI Barry Gibb is the last Bee Gees left. They died in reverse order of birth. Barry the oldest alive. Robin died Moe was thirty minutes younger than Robin. Andy the youngest died first. But I still love Barry Gibb.
Maurice pronounces his name "MAUR-iss", accent on the first syllable. You're doing great! I'm so proud that some young people are able to love the Bee Gees, and appreciate the genius-machine they were. Thanks so much. Maurice sings lead on "Man In The Middle"...great song.
Barry is the oldest and Robin and Maurice (pronounced Morris) are fraternal twins. These songs take me back to my childhood. My brother who was 10 years older than me would play me there songs all the time and I still love listening to their music. I'm so glad you found them and are enjoying the music they not only recorded, but they wrote all their music as well!
I could live in the 70's, 80's and 90's forever. Best music ever made. The BeeGees were amazing. The beautiful harmony they all had and amazing song writing talent. Then when their baby brother Andy Gibb got older and started singing it was so obvious by his voice and looks that he had to come from their family. I don't think their sisters ever made any music.
Check out You Should Be Dancing from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack it has John Travolta's iconic dance routine and they did six songs on that track. Thanks
2:50 Yes, sir. That's Barry. They all are incredible vocalists, but Barry had the ladies weak in the knees. And though he could have any woman in any port, Barry has been a devoted husband to his wife for over 50 years.
Yep. I'm from a small town, and the city held dances at the rec center for all the junior high kids on Friday, and the senior high kids on Saturday. I remember looking so forward to Friday night dances and remember dancing to the BeeGees non stop all through my youth! All that amazing music: BeeGees, Genesis, Journey, Kansas, Chicago, Styx, Elton John, Neil Sadaka, Cars, The Doors, Air Supply, Beetles, the Monkeys, soo soo many!!!
Oh, we totally understand LOL, That's why folks like me have been listening to them for the last 50 years, some even longer. And I still listen to them for at least 3-4 songs every night! Their music makes the world seem like a nicer place, even these days
Born in 1965, I grew up listening to the Bee Gees. They are one of our favorite all-time bands, but seeing y'all listen to them for the first time, I believe we have taken their talent for granted. It warms my soul so much to see someone hear these songs for the first time. Honestly, there were so many great songs in that era and many bands with mixed races. We had it going on in those days and you're bringing that back! Blessings to all!
one thing to remember they also wrote most of their own songs as well as several top 10 hits for other artists through 4 decades of changing musical tastes. That is an incredible accomplishment.
You can’t go wrong listening to these guys. Barry is the lead singer and the eldest. Maurice and Robin are twins and both have passed. I have heard Maurice’s name pronounced ‘Morris’. It is hard to match their talent. They started as kids and kept evolving and growing with the times. I recently learned about their story and I cannot tell you just how much I enjoy listening to their songs. There is a great, tender story about how they came up with the name Fanny, in their song, Fanny, Be Tender With My Love. We have been blessed to have their songs to listen to. Continue with your reviews and listen to their huge collection. Bet you will be glad you did!
It is so great to see someone young like you, appreciating what music. The Bee Gees, deserve all the praise in the world. I'm 56, I've been listening for 45 years. Everyday I listen to their music. Thank you, keep this music for generations and generations to come.
Barry and Robin was both lead singers. You should check out “ I Started A Joke” where Robin sing with his angelic voice. It’s beautiful. Also check out there youngest brother Andy Gibb “ I Want To Be Your Everything” Andy had a fantastic voice like his brothers and was very successful on his own. Unfortunately he passed away when he was just 30. New subscriber here from Sweden
One of the biggest hit-making groups of the 60s, 70s AND 80s. So damn many hits. Some essentials: Stayin' Alive, Jive Talkin', You Should Be Dancing, More Than A Woman, Tragedy, Night Fever, Words, I Started A Joke, Massachusetts, Nights On Broadway, How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, To Love Somebody, Run To Me and I've Got To Get A Message To You.
Stayin alive, Love you inside and out, Jive taking, You should be dancing, To love somebody, Tragedy, More than a woman, Fanny be tender, Nights on Broadway.... And so much more
The Bee Gees is a DEEP rabbit hole - they wrote, arranged and performed around 600 songs over a span of nearly 50 years. Each brother extremely talented in his own right - while none of them could read musical notes, or knew what a musical scale was, as a group they brought us Pure Magic...💖💖💖
Nights on Broadway, You should be dancing, Fanny be be tender with my love, nights on Broadway, words, that's probably a hundred more 200 more songs. The Bee Gees are musical geniuses!!
Wonderful reaction and it really touched you. I've grew up with them, they were BIG for decades. the harmony of their voices were incredible good, they fit so well together. Great to see the new generation like it too. It's timeless music ;-)

When this song came on during couple skating 😂😂 I would always skate alone, never with a boy/guy, from late 70s to early 90s
Any chance you could listen to the live version of Help by John Farnham with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, he's another of Australia's favourite singers. The Bee Gees were huge here.

The movie "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack was produced by the Bee Gees.
Real voices no fancy machines to make them sound that way
They were played a lot on the radio until around 1986. Not because they were less popular but because DJs were tired of playing them.
You Should Be Dancing...you will love it...Saturday Night Fever 🎼🎶❤
It still sends shivers down my spine
i grew up with this music and all of the 50s
Maurice and Robin were twins. Born 35 minutes apart. Barry the only singing brother alive
I love your reactions and how "real" you are. Thanks

Each brother extremely talented in his own right - while none of them could read musical notes, or knew what a musical scale was, as a group they brought us Pure Magic...💖💖💖
This was a time when men talked to women not at them! Best years of my life!! Great music; great friends and great times!

Wonderful reaction and it really touched you. I've grew up with them, they were BIG for decades. the harmony of their voices were incredible good, they fit so well together. Great to see the new generation like it too. It's timeless music ;-)
