I believe classic style with modern touches is the future of 1911s. Pre war, 80s, 90s MEUSOC, Delta. I have the new Colt SEA-1 similar to that style. JMB would approve.
Nice gun man. My buddy has a Colt / Nighthawk 1911 for sale. I would of liked to see the back strap a little closer. I replaced my nylon main spring housings on both of my classics. One with an arched with lanyard loop for WW-2 and the other with a flat serrated no loop. The smooth lanyard loop mainspring i got 2 at an armory didn't fit correctly as itvwas to shallow in the backstrap.
Not usually a fan of the older style 1911's but man something about this one. Now if we could only get Eli a decent Swiss watch instead of that plastic crap all would be right in the world
The Classic government is one of the sexiest guns ACW has put out to date. Its the epitome of milled steel and sex appeal. Especially with John Harrison parts to tie things together. The whole resomod series thusfar have just been one upping the gun before it. The other new ACW, though, is pretty sad to see. Taking the QHC in the direction of boring cookie cutter looking double stacks, it just feels like a soulless cash grab...
Regardless of the looks, that Full Rail is a legitimately addictive gun to shoot- probably my favorite 9mm I have ever shot. Moreover, the "full rail" concept is, by this time, becoming a bit "retro". The SA TRP Full Rail is probably close to 20 years old by now. It's not a soul-less cash grab, it's more from me actually being a HUGE fan of full-rail 1911 pistols.
This is a full Milt Sparks rig, the decorative stitch belt, the 1AT, and the magazine carriers. If you call Milt Sparks (which you'll have to in order to place an order), just tell them you want the same belt that the 1776_duck kid has, and they'll know what you're talking about.

Love that “tumbled” finish. Very similar to my Sig “We the People” 1911. Swapped out those grips too. Sweet looking.
