  • Hey Everyone! Have you ever found a shell with a perfectly round hole in it and wonder what made that? It could be a MOON SNAIL such as a Shark Eye.
In this episode, we'll cover a few types of Moon Snails that can be found in the Ten Thousand Islands and compare to those found on the Atlantic coast of Florida.
Join "Sarah with an H" on this educational talk about these beautiful shells, the animals that make them, how they reproduce and the best ways to find them while beach combing.
Special thanks to Amanda's Ocean Treasures for specimen contributions.

Just curious about the difference in a Shark eye and a false shark eye?doesn’t it have something to do with an deep indent on the back side? You are so informative and know your shells can you elaborate a bit on this please?

Thanks so much for all the info. That live gaudy was beautiful. I had no idea the animal was just as pretty as its shell. Very informative.

This is great! I was wondering if technically a shark eye is a type of moon snail or if they are 2 different things entirely?
