Classic New England shelling and sea glass hunting along the shore.
Channeled whelk, bay scallop, common whelk, calico scallops, slipper shells, knobbed whelks, marsh periwinkles, moon snails etc wash up on the beach.
We find a variety of sea glass: yellow sea glass, purple sea glass, and dark blue sea glass. Ruby red sea glass, olive green sea glass, pink sea glass, and lots of clear/colorless glass. Sea foam sea glass, aqua sea glass, emerald sea glass, and brown sea glass.

Thank you! This is just the refresher I needed on this stormy dust-laden west Texas night!

We were so surprised to find all the unbroken moon snail shells and periwinkles! Usually the seagulls eviscerate them.

The rock at 3:57 looks like red jasper to me. Very pretty, no matter what it is!

THANK YOU!!! I have been hoping for someone to come across our channel who wouldn't mind sharing an opinion about the red rocks I keep finding!! I was thinking they might be jasper, but I am so inexperienced with this type of thing I couldn't be sure!

    * Why don't you carry a separate bag (Bread bag?) to haul Trash off the shore?? ~ The rock at 6:56 mark looks like Banded Chert..

That's a great idea! Usually Clara carries an extra few dog poop bags for trash, but I love the idea of recycling bread bags instead!
THANK YOU!!!!! So much for your rock ID input!! I have been studying up with a few books but it is so hard to nail down a true ID-- I'm super new to geology!
