I agree with you. The tone of perpetual surprise from the narrator that these bakery items aren’t a ‘healthy’ choice as though she was revealing a tremendous secret that’s going to rock our world really makes me laugh every time. These things are absolutely fine in moderation.
For some of us, it must be. Sodium is a factor for everyone with heart or kidney disease. Those patients religiously count mg daily. The likelihood that you, too, may need to do that after age 65 is better than 50%.
Costco feeds hundreds of office workers in the vicinity of one. Everyone that consumes a piece of cheesecake, a danish, a muffin, or a bagel from Costco is more or less aware of the "nutritional" value of each selection and they don't care. What they care about is whether it goes with the beverage they are drinking. I have not heard an colleague complain about nutrition as he/she is chewing on a poppyseed muffin.
That's what I do too, except I warm them in the air fryer. They come out perfect. I actually look to buy the more pale ones so I can toast them a little in the air fryer, and they come out a golden color.
Costco would make millions if it sold its croissants frozen! Bake them up 2-4 at a time. You can buy frozen croissants on line, or through QVC, so it is doable.
thing is.... if you're a single individual you dont need 2 be in kostco buyin bulk items. that's a sure way 2 prevent havin mold on your food when you're not goin thru it fas enuff.
When in season, do not hesitate to stock up on the Raspberry Crumble cookies! These shortbread cookies have a light layer of raspberry jam inside, and they're topped with powdered sugar. Never EVER think of calories when eating them!
Costco, If you’re listening, why don’t you list the sodium content on your chili? It is over-salted, but your website says it has 0 mg of sodium, which stretches the limit of federal law.
Considering this is a blog that is not affiliated with Costco and is critical of the calories in all their food I doubt there is a chance in hell that they are reading this.
Apple strudel warm it up in the oven and omggggggggggg........the chocolate chip cookies....all of it on this list actually is soooooooo goood , iits okay to buy it.............ts not like i buy it every week and eat if daily, you go to costco maybe twice a month depending on how big ur family is, and u buy a different one each time, not all at once
I don't buy bakery items, ie cookies, from much of anywhere anymore because they have started putting cottonseed oil in everything. We dont eat cotton so why should we eat oil from the cottonseeds? It actually makes me very ill when I do so there's that too!
Think twice when buying any baked goods made with INDUSTRIALIZED roller-milled flour versus the stone-milled flour you can expect from One Mighty Mill bread and bagels.
Wait, what?! You mean consuming goods that are primarily made of sugar aren't healthy to base your diet on? Shoot, guess after eating this I could have some salad for dessert. I'm sure they sell a good Ambrosia Salad.
I tried the double crust apple pie last year because I really loved their apple pies years ago as well as their apple strudel. But this was a gigantic letdown because the only sweetness was the sugar crusted on the top. There was no sweetness to the filling, not even a scoop of vanilla ice cream could help. Maybe I could have poured caramel over it, but I just chalked it up to a change in recipe. Wouldn't recommend this product😢
@abruegger007 eh, watch it! People have opinions, but that doesn't give you a right to be mean. Have some respect for yourself. You like the apple pie to be tart with all sweetness in the quickly soggy crust with hardly a cinnamon flavor to it. Yeah, you got great taste🙄
You could file most of this video under the word DUH. Does anyone think bakery treats are good for you and and have nutritious ingredients? Hardly breaking news world exclusive, is it? Maybe you should retitle this one: "Think twice before watching this video."
What do you think are Costco's best bakery items?
Cheesecake
Berry,Apple,and apricot turnovers
Costco Bakerey yum yum!!
Costco Bakerey not Cisco.
Yum Yum Yummer!!
Videos like these crack me up. When I buy things like these, nutrition is the absolute LAST thing on my mind.
Yes!! You don't go to Costco when you're on a diet!!
Me too! I figure all the walking in that huge store helps earn some of these lovely goodies I'm about to devour!!😂😂😂😂
I agree with you. The tone of perpetual surprise from the narrator that these bakery items aren’t a ‘healthy’ choice as though she was revealing a tremendous secret that’s going to rock our world really makes me laugh every time. These things are absolutely fine in moderation.
😂
For some of us, it must be. Sodium is a factor for everyone with heart or kidney disease. Those patients religiously count mg daily. The likelihood that you, too, may need to do that after age 65 is better than 50%.
You don't buy cheese cake or cookies to be healthy
😂😂😂😂
Decadence can be quite hedonistic...
😂😂😂😂🔥🔥🔥🔥
🤡

All breads from a bakery in supermarkets have mold after being few days not just Costco’s. Make your own bread 🥯
Don’t worry most are cakes anyway ha
That means those items are fresh hence why they mold after a few days
The croissants freeze quite well and reheat nicely as well. I cut them in half or slice them and put them in the toaster.
That’s my experience, too. Makes for great French toast, too. Add a dash of almond extract.
That's what I do too, except I warm them in the air fryer. They come out perfect.
I actually look to buy the more pale ones so I can toast them a little in the air fryer, and they come out a golden color.
Croissants make excellent French toast
LOL watching this video makes me want to go to Costco!
i want to eat everything in sight!
i mean, if eating healthy is a concern then dont step foot into the bakery section cause i dont think anything there is healthy lol
Costco would make millions if it sold its croissants frozen! Bake them up 2-4 at a time. You can buy frozen croissants on line, or through QVC, so it is doable.
The Pumpkin Streusel Muffins are VILE. No pumpkin flavor, just nutmeg. I had my husband take them to work just to get rid of them the next day.
Come on! Nobody, I mean nobody, buys cheesecake and cookies for healthy eating. 😒🙄
thing is.... if you're a single individual you dont need 2 be in kostco buyin bulk items. that's a sure way 2 prevent havin mold on your food when you're not goin thru it fas enuff.
Costco's baked goods are the best. Calories is the that thing people be thinking about.
When in season, do not hesitate to stock up on the Raspberry Crumble cookies! These shortbread cookies have a light layer of raspberry jam inside, and they're topped with powdered sugar. Never EVER think of calories when eating them!
So in summary: baked goods are not a good nutritional choice. Duh.

I noticed that also with a lot of their deli made stuff, way to salty

Alot of baked goods can be put into the freezer if packed correctly, so buying in bulk can be a good idea
The Mousse Cake so smooth and not too sugary
I love their pecans 🥧 they only get them during Thanksgiving and Xmas the best ever to me.
I bought that big apple pie for the first time and it was absolutely delicious.
The Crossant and the Apple Strudel are the best.

Dear Mashed: IT'S A BAKERY!!! What did you expect???
I don't buy bakery items, ie cookies, from much of anywhere anymore because they have started putting cottonseed oil in everything. We dont eat cotton so why should we eat oil from the cottonseeds? It actually makes me very ill when I do so there's that too!
How were the gingerbread cupcakes six pack?
Do people really need someone to tell them these things? Really!
Some people resale slices of Costco pies and cakes at restaurants, making a profit 😮
Think twice when buying any baked goods made with INDUSTRIALIZED roller-milled flour versus the stone-milled flour you can expect from One Mighty Mill bread and bagels.
Love bakery
That kinda at all store s right
Wait, what?! You mean consuming goods that are primarily made of sugar aren't healthy to base your diet on? Shoot, guess after eating this I could have some salad for dessert. I'm sure they sell a good Ambrosia Salad.
If the food police was a person

You Dunce. You don't want the apples too sweet, you want them tart. And every time I get one they are very good. I highly recommend them.

You can eat those pastries in moderation.
Work out before you eat them
Didn't even bother to mention the almond marzipan danish's
I STOP buying these bake goods after working at Costco. especially how they made
Those coolies are not 2/3 of an inch thick. Not even close.
Come on now, even their cheese isn’t real cheese. Oil, wheat, cellulose is in there shredded cheese. Read the labels.

Sugar and additives are probably not going to extend your life, only your waistline. Stick to toilet paper, toothpaste, and vitamins.
Carbs, carbs, and more carbs. Nothing but poison
Who is this party pooper?
Real butter cookies

Funny ur dog mad
I've tried their bagels and they suck bakery is a joke
Are you a disgruntled ex-employee? Or do you work at a competitor? 😂
