      Sadly it wasn’t hard work. She got this based on skin color and not merit.

      @@HairyBottom Maybe for different people, sure, but with Asian families you can observe it's usually the merit and merit alone.

      @@HairyBottom Why are you lying? She achieved this incredible accomplishment because of her merit. Asians (which includes Indians) do not benefit from affirmative action. Stop being a jealous hater.

    How is a GPA of 11 when 4 is the highest possible?

    • @RangersGirlJackie99

      I'm guessing she partook in whatever Tampa's equivalent of "early college" is. Our high school's highest point weight was 6 for AP classes, with 5 for honors, and 4 for standard; but our early college was a separate thing where you just go straight to college out of middle school, then take "remedial" high school level courses as you go. So, I would assume they count college courses towards their high school GPAs, just at a higher weight -- e.g. an upper level math course like modern algebra/group theory would have a really high weight if you aced it, whereas kiddie pre-calc would only have a 4 or 5 attached to it.

    Come on! How? Even with weighted AP courses how do you get an 11? They are a grade point average and not a grade point total right? Do we not use a 4.0 scale anymore. I have questions!! This must be the common core math calculations.

      @RangersGirlJackie99 Рік тому

      @bri8778 I said for _me_ that's how it was. Obviously, Tampa does it differently, where college courses count towards high school GPA at a much higher weight. Clearly 6 is not the max here.

    What a wonderful piece of news God bless every student that helped bring the GPA up with the school. That is wonderful news to hear … however, I wish I could give them props but I CANNOT at this time… for firing the running coach because he had an issue with a student wanting to compete in two things and letting him know that they were spreading themselves too thin and it can’t be done… and because they go to administrative and cry like a big baby, like a little tattletale and plus cause he has prostate cancer, you’re gonna throw him under a bus ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
    I got NO respect for it !!!
    God forbid a time like that ever comes for anyone of you teachers or faculty members you’re gonna REAP EVERYTHING YOU SOW by doing this to this poor man - it makes me sick and it makes me ill and it makes me disgusted that you would do something to somebody like this, Who’s been with the school for as long as he has and has helped them achieve such success, and then you take away his Hall of Fame ?!?!?!
    Ya’ll should be ashamed of yourselves. God sees what you’ve done to this man he hears his cries and sees his tears. I’d hate to be the one who caused this man to loose ALL HE HAS WORKED SO HARD FOR With integrity and honesty, which is something you faculty members obviously don’t have - God help everyone you then shame on you and Lord have mercy on your soul for causing someone to STUMBLE when you stand in front of Him
