After returning, Michael Myers sought REVENGE! By waiting one year to try again, because it just feels weird to kill your family on Thanksgiving. Either way, Jamie returns, and we don't completely forget about her stabbing her mother, we just ignore it because... it's more samey that way?

"THE SUMMER OF HALLOWEEN! "
Decker Shado; I'm stuck. little help here?
Now that I think about it, Tina's prank was really stupid considering what had happened to the last person who dressed up as Michael. Remember "Halloween II"?
You're dead on mate.
One of the reasons why she needed her ass kicked.
What about Ted Holister? He wasn't even dressed as Myers and he got shot!!! Crazy town that Haddonfield.
oh yeah ben tramer in 2.
i realize Im pretty off topic but do anybody know of a good website to watch newly released tv shows online ?
I laughed so hard at the “Hey Decker!!!” “WHAT?!” Part 🤣😂
Fun fact: That's a real knife they were using to stab the laundry chute with Danielle Harris inside.
Jesus, was the director's goal to kill her for real.
You know, I always thought she did a good job looking scared for her life. I had no idea that she actually kinda was.
I Wonder what would of happened if it went tits up and Michael killed his niece for real when they actually filmed it would they of faced murder charges ?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
@@yassinfrench5231 someone would bust mikey out of prison
@@matthewleeeverhart1908 Probably. Guy was nuts.
As the pizza was being stabbed, i could hear Dr. Loomis losing his mind. "No, no, no, no, no, nooooo!'
"I shot him six times!"
Keen Symbiosis the bigger crime is putting pineapple on a pizza...
I'm sorry doctor; but how many times did you shoot your patient?
I shot him seven times... No, wait... I shot him six times!
Doctor, you say Michael is your patient. I'm curious as to what sort of treatment you provided for Mr. Myers?
Actually Decker fun bit of movie trivia the two idiot cops were done as an Homage to the two cops in the original Last House on The Left.
Explains it... but...doesn't make it any less annoying
It's bullshit.
It's so disappointing that they didn't continue with Jamie as a killer. Just like Tommy Jarvis. A cool plot thread completely ignored.
Or Friday the 13 going anthology the 80s hated new things
@@dragon22214 WTF you on about?🫤
"Oh but he's back. The man behind the hair. And he's out of control."
JAIL
Hahahhahha, good job using Alice Cooper's song: "He's Back, the Man Behind the Mask" from Friday the 13th part 6, 'Jason Lives.'
Mwiza Chihana Wow! You recognized what he was referring to! Wow! You must be fun at parties!
I can’t wait until October
As in when the new Halloween movie comes out? If so, do you have any reasons to be excited? If you ask me, it looks like they got the wrong writer/director for the job and released images and the trailer honestly don't excite me. The fact that it's a Blumhouse production scares me even more. Can't say I've enjoyed any film by that company and those I haven't seen have been mostly critically panned. The fact that Jamie Lee Curtis is involved, while I fear she might just be strapped for cash or was (contractually) tricked into starring in this movie, does give me a bit of hope, but I am really sceptical that this will be anything other than the usual jumpscare-laden, high-octane thrillride made for teenage audiences that need to be reminded they're watching a movie every 30 seconds with some loud noise or explosion, just to pry them away from their phones.
That said, I recognize my expectations for this film are incredibly pessimistic and probably somewhat unrealistically so, which will probably cause me to be positively surprised by it whenever I do finally see it. Anyway, sorry to bore you with my entire life's story, but if you're willing to share your cause for excitement for this movie (if your comment was even directed at the movie), please share c:
Does anyone else hate the comic relief cops and the shitty theme that played when they first appeared in the film?
Nope, I hated that too, I have NO idea what the fucking point of that was.
Clayton Luce it was so weird haha even as a child I was that part and said "is this a comedy now?"
Decker should've added the Bulk and Skull theme from Mighty Morphing Power Rangers.
😂
Clayton Luce totally out of place. What the fuck was the director thinking?
I always loved Michael doing normal human things in this movie. Like the party. Like dude he looks so uncomfortable while Tina's on him. Its hilarious
Does that Cult of the Thorn tattoo look like the Patreon logo to anyone else?
Dear God, it all makes sense now...
So that’s how the cult s so powerful
That was your best "THE SUMMER OF..." moment so far
PhillipOnTakos
Indeed... I legit belly laughed.
*of
According to this guy, Decker took the summer off.
Lmao I thought decker’s hair was gonna get caught in the car seat
lmao me to
Same. That would’ve been hilarious if he had to pop it back open and pull it in.
Lazarussoul 82 same lol, I lose it at that part
Jamie got the Tommy Jarvis treatment with this film. I'd like to of seen her as the killer. Instead, we have her shackled with the greatest character in the franchise, Tina lol.
At least Tommy got cool and interesting. Jamie did not.
Mercenary Knight true. Sadly.
wstine79
TINA
sucks
I cheered when she died
I Know, Rachel was the Cool One, Why'd She have to Get the Ax! Urg!
wstine79 Not to mention she was killed off in "Curse of Michael Myers" and I doubt we're going to see or hear of her in the new movie coming out soon.
I'm starting to think the Halloween is a video game where Michal loses and the sequels are the playthroughs where he learned from the last attempt.
So was Richard Harris doing a 'Don Pleasence In Halloween 5' impression for his portrayal of Dumbledore?
Speak clearly, you wheezy old men! Also, can we take a moment to appreciate Danielle's acting? I dunno how old she was here, but she's easily better than most kid actors. Considering what she had to work with, it's especially notable. She might not have liked the direction, but you can really believe her fear and she's got some great scream power on tap.
Decker in the car at the beginning killed me
That intro was quite inspired
Edoardo Prevelato I likes the cat staring down at you, twist
Why is Michael in a wheelchair lol
Why is Michael in a wheelchair, was his legs somewhat broken!?!?😂😂😂😂
Dude thank you so much for The Summer of Halloween and for The Summer of Freddy VS Jason, your channel is awesome
Do the RoboCop franchise please!!!
Would maybe be better to hold that off until the new film gets made. On the other hand that could take a while, if ever.
@@Reidbynature I hope they get Weller back and the new one turns out good.
As always the best thing about this film is the late great Donald Pleasance.
24:13 and the fact that Michael under the chain-net with Loomis laying on top was pictured on the back of the VHS box as the ultimate spoiler
So, who's ready for two reviews of Halloween 6? Kinda wish that be the case just for comparison sake.
What do you mean?
CrazyAlex 18 Producer's Cut and Theatrical Cut. Both are different in many ways due to a test audience made up of teenage boys.
Sadly we can’t watch it now
1:25 Ok, that one has to be the best one until now.
Layton 13 that made me laugh
Yeah, though how did he get to his car so fast?
Loved that moment
Agreed! XD
Donald Pleasence/Dr. Loomis is the real star of these movies.
It’s funny how both the Halloween and originally, the Friday the 13th franchises both set up new characters to be the main evil killer, but both got cold feet by the next film. Now I love me some Friday the 13th part 6 : Jason Lives, so I’ll forgive that series but a psycho, killing little Danielle Harris would’ve been better than this crap, I mean film. No I mean crap.
Great reviews btw. Whether I agree or disagree with your critiques, every episode is very entertaining and well done. 👍
Well, the plan was always to bring Michael back, but have it be Michael Meyers vs. Danielle Harris the killer.
That opening sequence was really well done.
Now this is where the series went down hill
True dat.
Not yet. Give it a minute......
David Brown
Pretty sure it went downhill after the first film tbh
Huey Blue eh that's kinda true
+Huey Blue The first film wasn't that good to begin with.
I feel like Decker would be good at directing movies because he's a critic
That Powerball joke had me rolling dude 😂
Yes lol
Here’s another fact from the commentary on the films about the cult of thorns, they forgot about 3 while simultaneously trying to bring 3 into the lack of continuity
If I ever met you, we'd probably end up talking about Halloween and why the only timeline that makes sense and is the only timeline that deserves recognition is Halloween (1978) and Halloween (2018) hopefully they make more. And make that timeline shine. Plus, you are one suave dude. The hair, the moustache, the bear and the way you talk. 10/10 bud.
The most controversial review ever. Showing that clip of pineapple pizza will keep people coming back and watching and arguing over it. Great review though in all seriousness
thanks for your videos Decker Shado, i have been watching your videos for 2 and a half years now and they never fail to cheer me up ;)
wish you all the best
Shit...The pineapple pizza was more scary than anything
Oh baby, not even a full 20 seconds in and we already got some Tasteful Nudes of Markiplier's calendar
Love your stuff decker
8:27
"When Michael Myers... was confined to his room. Pretty good year come to think of it."
That does sound like a good year. Lol.
Poppin’ out of the backseat through the trunk was the best yet lol!
That's right Wheelchair Micheal, you murder that abomination of a pizza! MURDER THE HORROR OF THE PINEAPPLE!!!
*sobs* It can't hurt anyone ever again.
Truly the most horrifying part of the review was the, ugh, pineapple pizza.
Why is the Halloween mask so low quality in every movie? Looks like it would fall right off.
It's a captain Kirk mask that was modified so it's pretty cheap
I was right there with Decker where I was more concerned about the dog then the woman being murdered by Michael. After all it's a lot easier to root for the animal that's only there out of obligation to their owner then the people who all make the same idiotic decisions In these movies. Also I really want to see Decker review the CGI Resident Evil movies...hell the live action ones too, that's enough to cover a summer right there
Fun fact, Don didn't have a harness in the river scene. He luckily grabbed that net in time. The DVD has an interview about it. And i talked to him about it. As well i was dressed like Michael. The only one he saw that weekend.
Jamie was seven in the last movie. Here , a year later, she’s nine. Did the producers not even watch the previous movie for that minimal level of consistency?
Continuity is for debutantes and folks from Tennessee.
Not sure...but what they DID do was figure out that Halloween movies are all about ambience and stalking and the duel between Myers and Loomis...which is a lot more than most can say who've tried to make a Halloween movie. Halloween 5 RELENTLESSLY adhered to the essential elements that made the series what it was...the important parts of the movie were so beautifully crafted that they pretty much rendered Jamie's age irrelevant...
@@tgriffin3059 They did that for about 20 minutes at the end of the movie. The other hour plus, Michael just killed a bunch of forgettable, disposable characters.
Halloween 4 did that much better and actually had a rather coherent narrative that didn't rely on gimmicks the writers themselves couldn't come up with a reason for.
@@TheThejayman32 If you have a problem with Michael killing a 'bunch of forgettable, disposable characters'...no offense, but for me that would be almost the ENTIRE SERIES. Even in the movies I love-1, 2, 4, and 5-I don't find myself all that attached to many of the characters. I'm a huge fan of Loomis...he'd be my favorite fictional character...I liked Jamie and Rachel fairly well...but most of the people who inhabit these films don't make much of an emotional mark on me.
@@tgriffin3059 In the first movie, the only character Michael kills we know nothing about is the mechanic he steals his jumpsuit from.
Judith is his sister and the beginning of his rampage. Linda and Annie have several scenes with Laurie and have a connection to her, making the psychological torture Michael inflicts on Laurie by leaving their bodies where she can find them greater. Bob is basically collateral damage by dint of being Linda's boyfriend but at least has a tangible connection to Laurie.
In 2, admittedly most of the victims are cannon fodder, but all but one are in relative proximity to Laurie. Again, we have the psychological aspect as Michael stalks Laurie.
In 4, the body count is higher, but except for the waitress, all the victims are people Michael has to get through to get to Jamie. Even Bucky has a point to his death since Michael uses him to shut down the power to Haddonfield.
In 5, Rachel is the only person with an established connection to Jamie Michael kills. The kids at the party are there for no reason but to pad the runtime and have no bearing on the plot. Not having Michael meet or kill them wouldn't affect the overall plot at all. Tina barely had anything to do with Jamie until the end when the writers did a 180 on her character for some reason. At least the cop is there to try to defend Jamie, so there's that, I guess.
That's probably why 5 is such a low-grossing movie in the franchise. It was rushed into production, never made an attempt to really invest most of the victims into the plot, and felt like the half-baked cash grab it was. It did have some intense scenes at the end when the main plot finally kicked in with 20 minutes to go, but that only shows just how lackluster the rest of the movie was.
My first Halloween movie seen it as a kid and the scene with the girl trying to escape from the vent scared me, looking back at it though it wasn’t bad but not a great movie either
0:30 that cat just like WTF is this guy doing🤣
Second worst in the series and it's not all bad just really generic.
Not nearly as bad as Halloween: Ressurection (also known as Michael Myers vs. Busta Rhymes).
nah your grammar is worse xd
YESS!!! been waiting all week! ive drove my partner insane talking about how good Decker's reviews are, especially The Summer of Halloween,,,,Damn fine job, Shado!
this was probably the last decent one before H2O and honestly only like the first 20 minutes was decent as soon as they killed Rachel off I just lost all interest in that movie and you could not make me feel for or care for the other girl that they placed her with
12:30 Dr. Loomis voice -NOOOOOO! NO
The most horrifying part of this video was seeing pineapple on that pizza 😂
On this movie Michael is wearing the most generic masks I've ever seen
The fact this is leading up to the new Halloween movie is amazing, it's almost like Decker planned this from the beginning.
I’m just waiting For Decker to get out the Fridge Next Review
12:35 if that's pineapple on that pizza Michaels a fucking hero
The Cats Like 'He Has Gone Crazy Looking For Michael Myers'
Killing Rachel was one of the worst things this movie did. Jamie character was just meh, and Danielle acting was so bad, that i didnt care about her at all. Tina despite the dumb decisions, somehow could replace Rachel end up another shock victim... And loomis was for the paycheck.... his acting was just... im here, i was payed...
Is the Cult of the thorn supposed to be the explanation for how or why Michael Myers is supposed to work? Like, why he's indestructible, why he's got super human strength and all that other bullschidt?
FINALLY! I've been dying for the next review! Great video, Decker
Before I start watching this Decker finally your making this video it’s been 3 weeks !! Dude I kept going back in forth to your channel
Fun fact: Michael actually die in H4 and the curse was transferred to Jamie and the series would continued with Jamie as the killer. But they changed that and brought Michael back.
One of my personal favorites in the series. I just really love this film's dark, gloomy and bleak atmosphere, and I LOVE the 3rd act.
A new Decker Shado video is a beautiful thing.
That "Summer of Halloween" was genuinely funny! 😸👍🏼
Will you be doing 2 reviews for both the Theatrical Release and Producers Cut of Halloween 6?
"You can deal with Michael on your own bitch" 😂
That pineapple pizza deserved that 🤢
You wouldn’t see teens doing drugs in a modern horror slasher movie.
Would love to see you review both the Candy Man and Maniac Cop series
Why is it funny that Myers throws Loomis all over the place?
Still find it funny that the Cult of Thorn somehow taught Michael how to drive. "Micheal, *do not kill me or we'll crash* ! Micheal focus on the road! Michael! MICHAEL!!!!!!!"
"Hey,Decker."
"WHAT?!"
Fuck i laughed!
"The Revenge of Michael Myers," well, who's he getting revenge on? Jamie? All she did was just be another member in the Myers family tree. I guess he's getting revenge on Loomis for shooting him SIX TIMES!
GamerGuy's Reviews I always took that revenge as being on Rachel, who was the one to save Jamie before.
Haddonfield, since most of them shot him at the end of 4 lol?
SIX TIMES IN THE HARR!
The scariest part of this review is the fact that there is pineapple on pizza.
The horror....and waste of pizza..
I was expecting you to play Bulk and Skulls theme from power rangers anytime the comic relief characters were on screen
The only good things about H5. Its Don Shanks performance as Michael, Danielle Harris as Jamie and Donald Pleasence as Dr. Loomis and Tina's death scene.
19:52
*Donald Pleasence voice*
"Michael was doing that pretty well. Maybe someone gave him lessons!"
By the way, I’ve been watching your channel since the summer of Freddy versus Jason which was like two summers ago I believe!
*I chose the wrong day to take acid didn’t I ?*
I’ve actually taken acid and watched Halloween and Halloween 2 both the OGs and Zombie remakes. It was RAD.
You truly do have the best hair...
I never noticed that you can see Michael slowly moving out of the way at 9:23 That's fucking hilarious.
Is this going to be like last years summer of Arnold Schwarzenegger
The assassins Fox Considering we still have 5 more of these, maybe it will just last till October instead of December.
Brenda Forster yeah
Michael's mask looks like Tzekel-Kan from El Dorado.
The 3rd act saves the movie. Jamie outrunning that creep all alone in his house had some really good tension.
Nowhere near saves the movie. Danielle is great but this movie was such a MASSIVE letdown. It's way more bad than good.
I laughed so fucking hard at the Dr. Loomis 12 year 1977 recollection, when I'm having a bad day, seeing all the depressing Dos Equis Pandemic info, I pop on some Decker Shado and laugh my worries away thanks DS.
ᚦ isn’t “Thorn,” ᚦ is called “THURISAZ Thurs Thorn,” Þ & þ are “Thorn” first is a capital, second is lowercase, THURISAZ & Thorn are related, however they’re loosely related, think of them as second cousins, so even the introduction of Thorn wasn’t well researched, and the irony is I don’t even think that was the symbol they were looking for either, as there’s a 3rd symbol, which looks like this ᚹ called “Wyn” get it? Wyn & Dr. Wynn…I think they were trying to be clever and do minimal research at the same time, however once you get into ancient Latin is complicated & requires full research to even grasp, for example notice I said Latin? Contrary to what Halloween 6 says, ᚦ, Þ & ᚹ are Latin Runes/alphabet, NOT CELTIC.
You missed a good joke there, Decker. When the cops came to pick Tina up from the store, they announced "Tina Williams. If you're Tina Williams, stay where you are."
My immediate response was "And if you're not, run for your life. That won't look suspicious at all!"
The real reason Loomis' memory goes back to 1977 is because Donald Pleasance really regrets turning down the role of Old Ben in *Star Wars* that year.
Rachel got up graded to step sister in this movie, and her mom got upgraded to step mom. Also the sheriff, lost his daughter, and didn’t seem really sad about it. I have no Idea why he needed a car in this movie. And why Rachel died at the beginning. And why does he have to kill dogs? And you’d think the town would band those mask. Down time between movies, that might be why he isn’t ripping off limbs, and driving cars.
Decker! Dude, you should REALLY review The Crow movies!
How about the Maniac Cop trilogy. I'd love to see you do those. It's riddled with tons of 80s extra cheese...
15:52 imagine if that was actually micheal and he just.... does that
1:24 LOL Haven't watched the entire video yet, but that "Summer of" intor is worth a like.
I don't question why the Boogeyman would survive a gunshot... hey, I remember the Real Ghostbusters and the Boogeyman's immune to a lot of things... or the Shape appearing and disappearing but I do question the "human" Michael Myers... this is the fifth one so this is between him trying to kill his niece and trying to... to... oh for the love of God, go back to the first Halloween... in the fifth one, Michael Myers was... I don't remember so it probably doesn't matter. Hey, let's get to Paul Rudd... Make it stop, please...
Halloween 2018. Exit Myers, return of the Shape, the Boogeyman's revenge. No sister, no niece, so nice. As a genuine Halloween fan... a fan of the genuine Halloween, not the following series or reboot, I'm looking forward to it.
wha? so you're trying to say........something...
"Trying to say... something" Best and shortest description of Halloween 5 ever. 4 had some ideas while 6 is either boring or sick...it depends on which version you watch.. but 5... I don't know about 5.
The one thing I was really looking forward to...more danging Michael . That shit is hilarious.
This movie sucks but the laundry chute scene will always be one of my favorites in the franchise! Can’t believe Danielle Harris was stabbed IRL during the filming of this scene due to his recklessly it was shot.
Well obviously the town wasn't big enough for two Michaels
I still don't know how Tina died from that...... She was basically stabbed in the arm pit
More or less probably rationalized that Michael pushed the knife farther down to pierce her heart, or that she just bled out from the stab wound. It is edited a little ambiguously.
Now the question for the next review, will he solely review the Theatrical version, whilst only maybe making mention of the Producer's Cut? Will he tackle both versions in one video? Or, perhaps give each version it's own separate review/video? (Side note, the Theatrical cut is better.... fight me. lol)
(Also, I like Halloween 5 better than Halloween 4...... fight me two times.)
This one was perfect for the summer of Halloween, because H5 was obviously filmed in fucking summer...
They should have consulted Sam Raimi who might of suggested they use a painted styrofoam board instead of an actual wooden board like he did in The Evil Dead. Dude might not of received a broken nose then.
