What if the pieces that you’re losing are pieces you need? I’ve been trying to use a design and it has very small lines and what not that need to stay for the image but while it’s cutting, it unfortunately releases from the backing. Anyone have any tips?

    • @katieodonnell-vicente6632

If you’re using the washi sheet setting with more pressure and you’re still losing them then it’s likely your design is just too thin/small. I personally use Inkscape to thicken up my fonts a little to get around this issue

Toni McDonald if it’s just regular Cricut glitter vinyl there is a custom glitter vinyl setting. If it’s iron on there is a custom glitter iron on setting. If it’s the new Cricut shimmer permanent glitter there is a custom setting for that too. Not sure which machine you have but if you search through try those, do small test cuts first.

It will depend on your material. When doing smaller/thinner designs, less pressure helps prevent tearing but not for all materials. For cardstock, there is an intricate cuts settings that is amazing! But I wouldn’t use washi sheet for cardstock.
