Hmmm never heard of that
I have a about 1/3 of the plugins you do and I find keeping all this garbage up to date to be a real PITA. Some companies have installer programs that keep track of this stuff, but most do not (especially SSL which really should with the number of plugins they have). I do music as a hobby (computer engineer by profession), and keeping apps updated is the last thing I want to do on my downtime. For this reason, I've been slowly moving to a more hardware focused mix, and in cases where I'm using plugins, I try to limit my choices (I've mostly stopped purchasing plugins unless something stellar comes along). Doing so has sped up my mixing quite a bit.
On a side note - does Flock really belong on this list? I mean, it's really just a control plugin for the hardware.
I understand where you're coming from I'm kind of in the same boat which is why I've invested in hardware the way I have and absolutely flock belongs on here have you seen their bridge?
@@TouchToneDSG Nope - the reason I brought up Flock I didn't think it was functional without the hardware. Is that not the case?

@@TouchToneDSG I get it, but to me it's a very blurry line. I guess I'm just looking at it from the point of "usable plugins" being apps that do their own processing vs hardware with plugins for an interface (which to me falls under the hardware category). I thought the Bettermaker in your video was the plugin (Brainworx) and not the hardware.
