Hi there another great video great camping in winter best part of the year I used to go but since my stroke had to back off your films keep the memories alive keep up the good work
Pat, you're spot on. I'm 72 and back in Thailand. The temperature has dropped to about 23 and it feels cold even though you'd think it was a heat wave back in Sheffield. Last summer, I spent a night on Kinder. My daughter and b/f carried the heavy stuff. They slept in a tent and I slept under a tarp propped up against some rocks, in a heavy bivvi. Snug as a bug. Windy all night but every moment was memorable and I dream about it. I'd love to do it again. But as you say, in the mean time I can watch your videos, which will never get old. Thanks Pat.
23 degrees, that sounds lovely, were around 6 and rainy. Glad you got up on Kinder, every camp up there is a memorable experience, looking forward to getting back up there myself, all the best Pat
Thanks for bringing this to our screens Patrick. Those still images at the start and the end were awesome. It's been a long time since you made a camping video. I like them the best. No doubt I will watch it several times over, with a hot coffee made on my camping stove in the my warm kitchen flat here.
I enjoyed your video as always. Unless it's for health reasons I don't understand why older people stop doing things. Sometimes society says we shouldn't do certain things or act in a certain way, which is sad. Carry on with your adventures!
Bought my first tent last year and managed a few trips up to the Lake District. Was disappointed that my first trip up Helvellyn on my birthday had to be cancelled (Car trouble). Will try and make it this year for my 61st birthday.
Just when you have the time and resources to get out and do all of the things that you couldn't do when you were nine. I am seventy, this year, and I am younger than I used to be. Presently in 🇷🇴 București. Snow hasn't quite gone.
Hi Pat, Great Vid. Just lost my dear Mother-in-law who was adventurous right to the very end. Your words are indeed, very wise. I shall make sure I adhere to your philosophy :-)
You're right Pat "just beautiful" it truly is a wonderful landscape up there & the snow adds to the character, love the place. As you will well know the weather can change in an instant up there & the snow melting overnight it must have put a bit of rain down. That chinese & the steak looked very nice,i'm coming out with you next time ;-) I have a few older subscribers that i get saying that they can no longer get out & watching mine & the like are the next best thing,it's nice to read such comments aint it.well as always Pat love watching you're camping vids.take care out there, tfs & atb mate..Andy.
Hi Andy yes lucky to get the snow camp in, another day and it would of all gone. When I woke in the morning a lot warmer and snow had almost gone, very windy, I knew my pegs were pushed into solid frozen ground that had now thawed, !uckly they held. If I had camped 5 meters in front of the tent I would of been layed in what was now a small stream, all exiting stuff. Good to keep our older viewers In touch with there past and reminding them of good times from there younger days,I might be one of them soon, all the best Pat
Brilliant Pat, what a fantastic adventure and great memories for you and us your viewers, I’m 60 and still do my wild camping, mainly in the Lakes. You’re very correct about the petrol cookers in winter conditions, I still use my Coleman peak which I’ve had for years. Keep em coming mate. Atb. Tony.
Hi Tony, you, ve certainly got a great place to go wild camping in the Lakes, bit limited down here in the Peak District, but I keep finding new places to pitch. Would,nt venture out in winter without my Whisperlite, I depend on it for basic survival, all the best Pat
We are all getting older, it's great to be out wild camping while you can and are physically fit, but likewise, good to look back and remember great times high in the hills, all the best Pat
Nice video Pat. Snedge aint what it used to be! I can remember venturing up onto Bleaklow back in the eighties and it used to drift so deep you could drop into the voids up to waist level if you wandered off the track. I can well understand you giving the Rambler and Nags Head a miss as their 4WD driver friendly tap prices are truly scandalous. The arctic hares really stand out on Bleaklow now due to reduced snow covering. One spring after the winter thaw i went up there and found the skeletons of a pair of them stood up like they were boxing! I would guess they either starved or froze to death in a blizzard and huddled together in their final moments. Going up here this weekend. It actually feels even colder these days as the snow is not as dry as it used to be and is wet to the touch. It used to be loose, dry and powdery back then to the point that you needed crampons to get traction on it. Global warming is definitely a real thing as the younger generation have nothing to compare it against.
@@Voodoo_Ray I can understand this as the ground is not as cold as it used to be at this altitude. I can honestly remember it setting concrete hard like permafrost for weeks on end. You can actually feel the snow melting and evaporating around you now and it makes the going very damp and cold. It actually used to have an insulating effect in the past and was ideal for bivouacking.
@@MrDegsy69 I remember 2008/9 and 10 being decent years. If memory serves snow fell in Nov and didnt leave till April. The Greenfield road and Holme Moss were closed for weeks. We had 15 foot plus drifts. We built quinzees and snow holes on black hill and people were skiing on Bleaklow
@@Voodoo_Ray I can remember some really good winters up there in the past. It was about the only time you could actually walk up on Black Hill back then without getting stained jet black in the deep peat bogs before they laid the erosion treatment down on the P.W. It always amazes me how low passenger airliners seem to be flying above there but them you have to remember how high above sea level it actually is. I sometimes visit the wreck of the B29 super fortess 'over exposed' up on Shelf Stones. This was a payroll flight on route between RAF Scampton and Burtonwood. It ploughed into the top in low cloudbase, poor visibility conditions. This was not uncommon prior to GPS navigation as aircraft flew in 2D plots back then on altimeter and compass bearing settings. You only had to get the calculation of a strong side wind wrong and you could easily drift into the hill tops if you could not see them in zero visibility. I liken this to the aeronautical equivalent of hitting a reef. This all stopped at a certain point in time with the advent of GPS navigation. Indeed this is my prefered method of crossing Bleaklow in thick mist these days as if you stray off the path you will end up walking in wide circles!
What a great camp Patrick. Your ethos is brilliant. As someone who has been camping since the age of 13 and having had a UA-cam channel for just shy of 4 years, I can honestly say it's such an inspiration to hear your wise words from the tent. I'll be sharing this video in our Facebook group. Brilliant. ATB
Thanks I really appreciate your comments, I sometimes think about the day I have my last night's camp on Kinder and think how sad it would be, I quickly banish it from my thoughts, I don,t want to think about it. Thanks again for your comments, Pat

Hi, I love your videos. I’m from Hong Kong, sweet and sour food are mostly served in our area in Guangdong. But I have to say I’ve never seen a meal like that before combing with sweet and sour sauce from Guangdong, pound beef, vacuum veg, and Udon the noodle from Japan. I’m gonna give it a try on my next camping trip. Thanks for an awesome new idea!
Another great camping video Patrick. You are correct in saying that we are getting older, I hate it and feel every day. Nice to watch you out and about, I'm looking forward to getting out on the motorbike in the summer.
New to the channel and I am hooked. Slowly making my way through the fantastic collection of videos. Loving everyone. True gent. And a pleasure to enjoy your travels and trips with. Wild camps my favourite 😊
Hi Jamie, it’s great to have you along and here’s hoping you enjoyed my back log of videos. I have got many more wild camps planned, but occasionally go off on a tangent of what ever interests me at the time,…….all the best Pat
Hi Patrick, great video - and photography - thank you - I first walked over Kinder 34 years ago aged 19 when I got it in my head I was going to do a solo PW walk - I gave up at day 5! (in mid summer). I've only been back twice since (and each time walked a bit further - but never in winter. It does definitely bring back memories, and perhaps I'll get back again one day to finish the walk!
Hi Graham, I think they say that first section of the PW is the toughest part,at least I was only out for 24 hours, so it was easy for me, all the best Pat
Great camp in the snow Patrick looked good to be out! The weather does change so quickly here in the UK there was snow here a week ago and 1 degrees now it’s 60-70 mph winds and 12 degrees! All the best.
The joy that you get from these adventures steps out of the screen :) I have never camped like this and perhaps never will but watching you is a fantastic experience. Thanks Pat
Hello Patrick. Sat here with a coffee and a crumpet enjoying your video. Thanks ever so much for loading. How I would love to see you on mainstream tv. I could listen to you for hours. All the best.
'FANTASTIC' Pat, I know where your coming from. I'm a city dweller and long for the peace and quiet that you find on your wild camp adventures. I watch your vids and to some extent I feel that I'm out there doing the camp myself, TOP BLOKE Pat. keep em coming. bigs thumbs up !!!
Fabulous video. Really gives a flavour of what it's like to be there, and satisfies yet another of my desires. Being 70 with heart problems a visit up Kinder isn't really sensible! Thanks again.
Your videos Patrick are one of the main reasons, I decided to get back into wild camping after 35 years (on Dartmoor at the time) now mainly Peak District). Now at 60, I am a little slower and it is more painful recovery after a Wild Camp, but oh so worth it. Thankyou for the inspiration!
Great that your back out wild camping, I think mentally we are well motivated and experienced, it's júst the slow loss of fitness that affects us all as we get older, just adapt to our new lifestyle, we may bump into each other one day...... thanks Pat
Hi Patrick, it's great to see you back wild camping again. I'd always bring a radio with me on a camp - there's always a good radio documentary somewhere on the wavebands. Even at home, I'll listen to the radio everyday. The TV goes on maybe once a week. A radio is always a better companion.
Hi Coleman yes I agree a small radio is great company so many different stations from music to documenties and the news and weather, all out of a little lightweight box, all the best Pat
Another brilliant one Pat, thank you. 2019 off to a great start with 2 cracking videos so far! And you are showing no signs of slowing down or getting old!!
This looks so enjoyable nothing better than camping out ,experiencing the beautiful outdoors of Yorkshire Derbyshire and so forth. And that food looks really tasty.
Hi Patrick Thanks for the kick up the backside 65 this year and Thanks to you Paul and Andy.Got back in to camping and am really enjoying it you Three have cost me a small fortune for Hilleberg ect but worth every penny thank you
You won,t regret it so much to see and so many adventures to have. Now you have made the big investment in equipment a wildcamp will not really cosy you much now, just getting there and your food, thanks Pat
One of your best yet! I only stumbled over one of your videos from 3 years ago around the start of January. Caught up on almost all of them, they get better and better! Love the relaxing accompanying music soundtrack on here too, i feel it really works. I should have been going up there today but for waking up with a bad back ( yes at 39 years old ) So when this one dropped in my inbox, i was still able to experience it thanks to you. Have a great day and i look forward to many more! :)

Many thanks Patrick for your latest wild camp, I really admire your Keenness and endurance to experience adventures that most people would never contemplate ....... You take us there Ian
Your words reach out and strike a chord with many of us and thanks for sharing this great yet simple adventure. At the age of 73, I recognise the wisdom of your logic and agree entirely. The world can be a wonderful place, if only we take take the trouble to find it. And you do it here in ‘spadefuls’
Hi Patrick, your video gave me a kick up the arse, and I went over to Edale in my old campervan on Friday afternoon. Managed to keep it down to just a couple of pints in the Nags head, so I could get up fairly early on Saturday. I walked along the southern edge of kinder scout - The snow had flurries up to a couple of feet deep in places, and the views were absolutely spectacular - perfectly clear skies, plenty of sun and no wind at all. One of the most enjoyable 17 miles of my life. I'm nesh though so quickly retreated to the relative warmth of the camper van not long after dark.
You did well to get up on to Kinder, there is no easy way up there, but the rewards are fantastic,on top of the world with views to match. You definitely earned a few pints when you got back down, all the best Pat
Watched your video again and I'm thinking of having a go at wild camping, campsites aren't for me and I'm only a few minutes away from Chesterfield train station. I'm looking at putting together a beginners kit and it seems like I can get a lot of the stuff 2nd hand after it's been used for DofE. I'd be interested to see a video on what to wear and what to pack - Years ago I started my walking hobby in a pair of Dr Martens and some old jeans "because they seemed sturdy"...

Another great wild camp in the snow but like you said we don't get many days of snow that stays anymore so enjoy it while you can if you can. The views look fantastic it's a shame the snow was gone by the morning but still a fantastic place all the same. Thanks for sharing and as all ways stay safe and see you in the next adventure underground or over ground.
In the 1950s and 60s as soon as it snowed it would be announced 'Buxton is cut off and all the Pennine passes like Mam Tor, the Snake, Woodhead and Standedge are closed. Also no trains running. Hi there another great video great camping in winter best part of the year I used to go but since my stroke had to back off your films keep the memories alive keep up the good work
Hi Andrew glad it's keeping your memories alive, all the best Pat
Thank you Pat for another spectacular video.
Glad you enjoyed it Pat
Glad you enjoyed it David, it was a bit of a adventure,my vidios will be a mix again this year, I,ll try and get a few more wild camps in, thanks Pat
Walking up to Ringing Roger from Edale was my first walk to Kinder in 1984, I love that walk ! Thanks for this Patrick
I enjoyed your video as always. Unless it's for health reasons I don't understand why older people stop doing things. Sometimes society says we shouldn't do certain things or act in a certain way, which is sad. Carry on with your adventures!
Certainly going to carry on for as long as possible, I think alot of it is in the mind, and I can,t sit still fit a minute, thanks Pat
Bought my first tent last year and managed a few trips up to the Lake District. Was disappointed that my first trip up Helvellyn on my birthday had to be cancelled (Car trouble). Will try and make it this year for my 61st birthday.
@@petersmithm9 Good for you! I'm 61 this year as well and still get up to no good 😊
@@petersmithm9 Hi Pete and time in a tent is a mini adventure, does,nt have to be high up, just anywhere out there, thanks Pat
Yes Paul we all have to make the most of our time while we can, all the best Pat
Cracking winter camp Pat 👌Aye your chinese stir fry, beats a pot noodle which i had on my last winter camp 😆 Keep em coming 👍
Atb Gary.
Thanks Gary, food and camping, what could be better, thanks Pat
Brilliant again Patrick ,very true life is too short .loving your work .
Thanks Stephen, just don,t get the snow now, so these camps getting few, totally different camping in the snow... thanks Pat 👍
Really enjoyed that Patrick. The only thing that was missing was a Union Flag in that last photograph taken on the summit.
Bulgarian Organic Smallholding No a Yorkshire flag
As an older viewer, got to say, enjoyed the vid, excellent views, commentary. The lot.Thanks.
I know people who have been avalanched/cornice collapsed on bleaklow in the last 10 years
@@Voodoo_Ray I can understand this as the ground is not as cold as it used to be at this altitude. I can honestly remember it setting concrete hard like permafrost for weeks on end. You can actually feel the snow melting and evaporating around you now and it makes the going very damp and cold. It actually used to have an insulating effect in the past and was ideal for bivouacking.
@@MrDegsy69
I remember 2008/9 and 10 being decent years.
@@MrDegsy69 I know Bleaklow and Black Hill all too well. Far too much of my time was spent looking for the navigationally challenged 😉
Sofas are a killer & I'm not being judgemental. Some of us don't live with easy reach of such wild locations. Central London is wild but it's not the same🗡 & 🔫 's. I know which I'd prefer. Great vlog.👍
Thanks Carl yes we are lucky to have this countryside on our doorstep. Thanks Pat
move up north mate, cheaper housing, friendly people and 20 mins on train, get out of the rat race, you will love it!
@@freddiebozwell7049 I like it up North but if I were to move I'd go abroad to Europe. I'm done with the mess that is #BankruptBritain 57yo & all I've seen is bodge, fudge, lies & corruption.
Well fuck of then
Hello just wanted to say what beautiful photos you have taken. Enjoyed your snowy walk. Glad you kept warm. Always enjoy your adventure's. X
Thanks Mary, lovely and warm with my hot water bottle, nice to hear from you, Pat
great adventure pat
Thanks amazing up there. Thanks Pat
Well done Patrick,Hope you can continue keeping up the good work.
Similar age to yourself, and your videos help to inspire us all to push ourselves that little bit further.
Your love of kinder shines through.
You should have been a ranger..
Top guy from Sheffield.
Remember this camp so well a real winter camp, which we don’t experience so much newer days, still love Kinder but exploring another wild place no far away….Bleaklow a real isolated area……….all the best Pat
Great video young man 🏹
Thanks Paul
Was looking forward to one of your winter snow camps for a while now and I was not disappointed , great video Patrick.
Yes I was lucky to get to camp in the snow before it melted. Thanks Pat
👍👍Nice one Pat ⛄👍👍
Thanks for that, Pat
Hi Patrick I have been looking forward to your overnighters and again I wasn't disappointed.I remember growing up in Scotland we as kids used to eat the snow,it was a different world then 50 0dd years ago.Congratulations on walking past two pubs haha I know you like a pint!.You are so right my friend on doing it while you can,I admire your drive.
Thanks Pat for another nice video... nice to see the Hilleburg out again ... beautiful tent... stunning scenery as always...
Yes the Soulo was perfect, just the right tent, thanks Pat
Great video Patrick! What a superb adventure and well done for passing not one, but two pubs!
Yes Danielle, I thought I did very well, I also wanted to be steady climbing up Ringing Rodger, amazing up there, like being on the top of the world, all the best Pat
great stuff Patrick , can't believe how quick that snow melted overnight. You keep doing what you love ate Dave ..
Thanks Dave yes amazed me how fast it went, Pat
Hi, I love your videos. I’m from Hong Kong, sweet and sour food are mostly served in our area in Guangdong. But I have to say I’ve never seen a meal like that before combing with sweet and sour sauce from Guangdong, pound beef, vacuum veg, and Udon the noodle from Japan. I’m gonna give it a try on my next camping trip. Thanks for an awesome new idea!
Thanks and nice to hear from you on Hong Kong, hope you are well we see you on the news quite alot, great camp and great meal, all the best Pat
Another great camping video Patrick. You are correct in saying that we are getting older, I hate it and feel every day. Nice to watch you out and about, I'm looking forward to getting out on the motorbike in the summer.
Hi Stuart yes the years seem to be flying by, which I could slow them down, thanks Pat
Brilliant video and camp patrick, well done and keep the video's coming please as we really enjoy watching, Marcus.
Thanks Marcus, glad you enjoyed the video thanks Pat
Great camp in the snow Patrick looked good to be out! The weather does change so quickly here in the UK there was snow here a week ago and 1 degrees now it’s 60-70 mph winds and 12 degrees! All the best.
A fabulous attitude and a natural way on camera. Excellent.
Thanks Michael
Thanks for that Pat. Long may you carry on doing what you love and reminding us oldies what were missing. Bless ya.
Thanks Pete, glad it brought back memories thanks Pat
The joy that you get from these adventures steps out of the screen :) I have never camped like this and perhaps never will but watching you is a fantastic experience. Thanks Pat
When I,am Putin the hills then life just feels so great and straight forward, thanks Pat
Hello Patrick. Sat here with a coffee and a crumpet enjoying your video. Thanks ever so much for loading. How I would love to see you on mainstream tv. I could listen to you for hours. All the best.
Thanks, really nice comments, thanks Pat
'FANTASTIC' Pat, I know where your coming from. I'm a city dweller and long for the peace and quiet that you find on your wild camp adventures. I watch your vids and to some extent I feel that I'm out there doing the camp myself, TOP BLOKE Pat. keep em coming. bigs thumbs up !!!
Thanks Gary, really appreciate your comments thanks Pat
Love these vids from a proper Yorkshire bloke who knows the outdoors and how therapeutic it can be in the wild.
Yeah I always come back feeling alot better totally refreshed, nothing better, thanks Pat
Another very enjoyable video Pat, it looked nice and cosy in the tent up there in the elements. Thanks!
Once inside the tent it was pure heaven, Pat
Fabulous video. Really gives a flavour of what it's like to be there, and satisfies yet another of my desires. Being 70 with heart problems a visit up Kinder isn't really sensible! Thanks again.
That's great at least you get to see what it's like, all the best Pat
Your videos Patrick are one of the main reasons, I decided to get back into wild camping after 35 years (on Dartmoor at the time) now mainly Peak District). Now at 60, I am a little slower and it is more painful recovery after a Wild Camp, but oh so worth it. Thankyou for the inspiration!
Great that your back out wild camping, I think mentally we are well motivated and experienced, it's júst the slow loss of fitness that affects us all as we get older, just adapt to our new lifestyle, we may bump into each other one day...... thanks Pat
Loved the video age is only a number Pat long may you continue happy adventuring
Thanks Phill
Hi Patrick, it's great to see you back wild camping again. I'd always bring a radio with me on a camp - there's always a good radio documentary somewhere on the wavebands. Even at home, I'll listen to the radio everyday. The TV goes on maybe once a week. A radio is always a better companion.
Hi Coleman yes I agree a small radio is great company so many different stations from music to documenties and the news and weather, all out of a little lightweight box, all the best Pat
Cracking video Patrick. Keep them coming and keep going. Stunning place to wild camp.
Yes Kinder is a amazing place thanks Pat
Another brilliant one Pat, thank you. 2019 off to a great start with 2 cracking videos so far! And you are showing no signs of slowing down or getting old!!
Thanks Peter, great start to the year, thanks Pat
This looks so enjoyable nothing better than camping out ,experiencing the beautiful outdoors of Yorkshire Derbyshire and so forth. And that food looks really tasty.
Yes had climb up but worth it for the atmosphere of being on top of the world, or Derbyshire, at least, thanks Pat
Yes felt great up there, Pat
Hi Patrick
Thanks for the kick up the backside 65 this year and Thanks to you Paul and Andy.Got back in to camping and am really enjoying it you Three have cost me a small fortune for Hilleberg ect but worth every penny thank you
You won,t regret it so much to see and so many adventures to have. Now you have made the big investment in equipment a wildcamp will not really cosy you much now, just getting there and your food, thanks Pat
Was just last week watching your previous Kinder videos in preparation for a Hike across the top this past weekend! Another great video, thanks!
Thanks Jared such a amazing place, thanks Pat
One of your best yet! I only stumbled over one of your videos from 3 years ago around the start of January. Caught up on almost all of them, they get better and better! Love the relaxing accompanying music soundtrack on here too, i feel it really works. I should have been going up there today but for waking up with a bad back ( yes at 39 years old ) So when this one dropped in my inbox, i was still able to experience it thanks to you.
Have a great day and i look forward to many more! :)
Yesbackpain can get you anytime, once had be layed on the floor for weeks, hope you soon recover which I,am sure you will, Kinder will wait, all the best Pat
Many thanks Patrick for your latest wild camp, I really admire your Keenness and endurance to experience adventures that most people would never contemplate ....... You take us there
Ian
Thanks Ian, I always feel such a lot better when I return from a trip up on Kinder, thanks Pat
Hopefully I have re kindled some old memories band adventures, that's great, all the best Pat
Hi Pat, just love your videos , great to see all the local areas I love, Rob
Thanks Rob, great that you recognise all the old places, thanks Pat
Another great video Pat and the best route up onto Kinder, although a bit slippy in the snow.
Yes my favourite way up, steep but quick but then your up and the days all yours, thanks Pat
@@dcobblers loads of gear at places like Go Outdoors and not all expensive or like you say ex army gear is always good, just get the basics to get you out, Pat
Pat, your extramundane discipline walking by the pubs was fantastic. :) But even more so was the wonderful camp at Kinder Scout. Your words of encouragement were inspiring. My older brother is your age, and can't or won't get out of doors. On the other hand, me and my twin brother, (3 years younger), get out in 3 seasons and are working on the fourth. We love your channel. Thanks so much.
Thanks Doug yes great will power, mind you at 10-00 in the morning they were both shut. Great to be up on Kinder in the snow, thanks Pat
Well pat yet another fabulous video my friend really enjoy them keep them coming

Most enjoyable as always pat, some beautiful snowscape pics.
Your food always looks so yummy.

Thanks Wayne, beautiful up there it was, thanks Pat
Thanks for another fabulous video. The adventures you've had. Amazing. Watching you with no gloves on though has made me shiver lol. Cheers pat.
Hi yes I noticed that, trouble was everytime I stopped to take a photo or film I took my gloves off to operate the camera, they quickly epwent back on though, thanks Pat
Thanks for sharing your adventure Pat. Glad you got up there before the snow melted. I’ve done a lot of winter camping here in Canada where it can get extremely cold, so some seriously warm winter gear is required!
Hi Pete, yes very rarely get much snow now, and difficult to time a camp when it's down.
So good to do a camp in the snow, totally different and a real adventure...... thanks Pat
Another cracking video pat really enjoyed it I'm from sheffield never been up on kinder but this has really inspired me to give it a go cheers pat stay safe matey 👍
Kinder is another world, especially in winter, but beware the weather can change quickly, so easy to get lost when the mist comes down,if you stay on the edge path bit easier to navigate, enjoy yourself up there, thanks Pat
Great stuff pat. Enjoyed that video . Your tea looked proper nosh , glad to have found your channel again . Cheers Lawson
Great to see you back out there Pat... You have got many years left of doing what ur doing mate! You put many young uns to shame! Keep going Pat and keep enjoying it mate 😉
Thanks I was glad I managed to get our in the snow, always a bit of a adventure a snowy camp, all the best Pat
Your videos never disappoint Pat . Thanks for the winter outing . Take care and Thanks again for the adventure . Dan from Canada out.
Sat in your tent against the elements is so nice.Hearing wind and rain or snow in your case adds to the experience. Packing up can be hard but when you get home you're looking forward to doing it again.
So true!….such a nice feeling knowing you are safe, warm and secure no matter what Mother Nature can through at you……thanks Pat
Hi pat You done well walking past they pubs .! ! ! No dought you had a wee half shandy or two when you got home :) Great video. Johnny 👍
Hi Johnny yes bit knackered when I got home, but managed a couple of bottles of Oakham Citrate, beautiful!!

Thanks David I was so surprised how fast the snow disappeared, another day and I would of must it, amazing up there, all the best Pat
In the 1950s and 60s as soon as it snowed it would be announced 'Buxton is cut off and all the Pennine passes like Mam Tor, the Snake, Woodhead
and Standedge are closed. Also no trains running. You just would not be able to get there. Snow would be up to a foot deep.
You are exactly right in what you said. I could no longer get up there. Yes, it brigs back all those good memories.
Well done Pat and another great video.
Thanks glad it's brought back memories, all the best Pat
Great to see you back on the camping/ hiking trails Patrick. Really enjoy your vids, no fuss, not trying to be funny. Just plain old getting out and doing it!!! Well done to you mate 👍👍👍👍

Glad to see you back on kinder ! I used to go there as a young bloke , we now live in Western Australia so I love to see your videos of my old stomping grounds. Happy new year and all the best 😇

Great video Pat , very informative and entertaining , not to mention brave , tracking all the way up there to camp in the middle of winter ! I might have a go at something similar myself soon .
