Your certainly a hardened camper Pat, I took the wife camping in March one year, it was almost the end of a beautiful relationship. Cold wasn’t a word I would have used to describe it, it was bloody freezing! Well done, I really enjoy the videos!
David Price hi David as I have got older and retired I find myself going back to my childhood hobbies like camping and generally mouching about they were the best so let's do them again, all the best Pat
Patrick, you are a National Treasure, thank you for all of your videos and advice, which must be helping hundreds to get out there. I wish you many camps in the future, cheers, Mike
Like you I don't usually sleep a lot but all this year I have taken a little cube shaped bluetooth speaker and a cheap mp3 player. I have found this combination superb, you can play music or podcasts, the batteries last (apparently) 45 hours but can confirm that it lasts a whole weekend away. Combined with a book (this year Hornblower stories by C.S Forrester) I found I get sleepy and get off to sleep easily. By the way, good scran, Pataks sauce, chicken, onions, garlic and spuds is top stuff. Try it with bannock bread - yum yum.
Hi yes just being in the tent out in the wilds is a great feeling on its own but a bit of music etc adds to it sounds like a good set up you have. and of course a nice warm filling meal really makes the camp enjoyable, thanks for comments Pat
I love Stanage. As a younger man I did a bit of climbing there. I was never good enough for the famous hard routes but I did do my SPA assessment there. I might have to return for a camp. Thanks for sharing pal.
You are certainly not mad Pat. You are following your dreams without the restrictions of the expectations of others. I know for me it's a great way to reset my mental health. The time will come when more people realise that our connection to nature is an essential to our well-being.
It's certainly keeping you young and happy your love of wild camping .can really feel your enthusiasm. At 45 I've just started my revival of the great outdoors.what gave me great joy in my younger years .
Hi when I retired I found myself returning to hobbies I did when I was younger, and it was great, all the best with your camping and the great outdoors, Pat
+Zeus Canine Hi Zeus yes it was a great camp a night to remember for so little effort. The meals were very tasty especially having cooked them outdoors Thanks for watching Pat
Hi Spencer yes I would say just get out and have ago nothing to lose and the opportunity to have a great adventure even if out not far from home just for one night its still a adventure especially in the winter and snow, all the best Pat
Hi Shane, had some great fishing trips at Bridgnorth, in 1980,s and 90,s stayed on Riverside caravan site with 5 mates, nice pubs as well thanks for watching and comments Pat
Hi and thanks for those comments much appreciated, mostly wild camping but like to throw adventures in occasionally. Is that a native indian on your icon, canadian or american?. thanks again Pat
great patrick....afew years ago .i walked the ridgeway long distance path in march....with reletively cheap and basic kit...my feet were the only casualty as far as the cold was concerned..nowt serious i might add...the cooking aspectof your adventure i thought was excellent...beats noodles which seems to be the food of choice from what ive seen !!! keep up the good work....mo..(wilts)
Hi Mo thought I had replied but appears not, The Ridgeway sounds a fantastic walk with all the ancient history. stone circles and horses, must do it one day. I love the idea of creating a meals just as good as at home but in the wilds with limited cooking facilities, and its surprising what you can produce with a bit of forward planning, all the best Pat
Your camping kit is well thought out Patrick. I always went for gel-fuel in my Trangia. It seemed to work even down at below-zero temperatures. I built my own log house up here in Argyll. For insulation we used a 40-layer reflective quilt. Some years ago I came across my old tent in the steel container that we used to store two households of stuff... (Now the house is finished, my stuff is still in there). So, one spring day, I thought I'd try the insulation as a ground sheet. It's very bulky so not for backpacking. But it'd be OK for car camping. 20minutes into a may night I gave up. The midges were taking me down in double quick time. Yikes!
Hi yes that insulation just the right stuff to sleep on, bit bulky fo wildcamping, but like you say fine for car camping. Sounds a nice spot you have in Argyll, all the best Pat
not owned a bivvy yet but they look great. A chef once told me that one of the most difficult dishes to cook is a full english breakfast, because of the timing of things and different food stuff, well done on a good part of a full english, outside and with limited.... EVERYTHING. Im gonna do it next time I go now because of you, cheers
Hi Paul yes not been out for while with Christmas, jobs round house and son learning to drive its been occupying a lot of my free time, hope to be out camping in next couple of weeks, thanks for asking, Pat
+Markwildcamp Hi Mark Yes that curry worked a treat at keeping me warm, too hot in fact the temperature in my sleeping bag was around 28 C and I had to shed my down jacket and fleece I was so hot Thanks for watching Pat
What an exceptional camp site. After those equally exceptional meals you prepared, your backpack must have been a lot lighter on the walk out. Nice display here of bivy camping.
+Random Button Pusher Hi the campsite was a great spot protected from the wind and rain, it could of been a bit more remote as walkers were only 400m away and due to the quiet and stillness you could hear voices as people walked by so clearly. As I was not too far from home I carried a lot of extra food and was glad when I arrived at the campsite, much easier when I walked home the next day with a lighter pack. All the best Pat
Carl jervis,Hi patrick as a newcomer to hiking and camping i would like to say a big thank you for all your hard work and effort you put in to your videos, really interesting and good fun , I hope your aadventures last for a long time to come cheers
+Carl Jervis Hi Carl you,v e picked a great pastime in hiking and camping as you can take it easy and just enjoy the outdoors or set yourself some challenges and have some real adventures whenever you want. Hope you enjoy yourself and have a great time in the great outdoors all the best Pat
Great overnight trip and the food looked spot on mate 👍. I've just bought a Dutch army hooped bivi to take with me on my next overnight camp, never used one before so really looking forward to giving it a try. Thanks for sharing. Atb
+Jeff Alfresco Hi Jeff if your looking for a easy and exciting way to spend a night on the hills you,ve bought the right piece of kit.lightweight to carry and easy and quick to set up, a bit tougher but more of a adventure in winter months but comes into its own as weather warms up. I wish you well with your next bivvy camp thanks Pat
Thanks Patrick for the excellent video of your adventure to the great outdoors! Good to see you making camping video's again! Keep up the good work! Looking forward to your next adventure. 😀
+Revo Runner Hi thanks for comments, I hope to make some more bivvying videos this year, i have a few trips I,am thinking of doing but as you can imagine other things get in the way and its my bivvying trips that get moved on,thats family life. Thanks again and all the best Pat
Fantastic video, thanks for taking the time and making the effort to share. Came here because I'm researching the Rab Ridge Raider (been bivying for years in a Rab Ascent and looking to upgrade) but really enjoyed seeing your approach to food as well as your thoughts before bed (and I wholeheartedly agree). Cheers Patrick!
Thanks for comments, can tbeat bivvyingfir a feeling of real adventure, it also suprise,s me how warm and cosy you can be in a bivvy, even in winter, all the best Pat
Another fine vid .... I have watched most of your vids of your various adventures several times and enjoyed them as much as when I first saw them... love them all .
Brendan Mc Geown Hi Brendan and thanks for kind comments glad you find my videos interesting, hoping to do another underground explore before Christmas, thanks Pat
13:45 I hear you Marra, I feel the same way and get the same reactions from friends when I say I'm going camping in such weather. But I agree with the adventure aspect of it, I've always been an outdoors person since being introduced to it at Junior school, I live in the lakes and so its part of my heritage and it's simply one of my great loves in life, to simply be out there, alone or with friends. Thanks for sharing your trips with us.
Thanks for the comments appreciate them, yes there is nothing like a wildcamp to make you appreciate your home comforts and give you a bit of adventure, which is sometimes lacking in normal day to day life, all the best Pat
Hi Patrick! I have watched several of your videos now and have enjoyed them all, but this is the first time I have felt compelled to make a comment. I agree with your sentiments exactly about wild camping; the excitement from it (a sort of subdued thrill) along with the planning make it all so much fun. You keep going for it my friend. A useful tip(or not); In the cooler months I take a Zippo style hand warmer, which I stuff at the bottom of my sleeping bag. This emits a slowly released heat that can last for anything up to 12 hours.
Hi Gordon, yes you can ,t beat a wild camp for the feeling of adventure and the challenge. Like you say the planning side of a camp is also so interesting thinking of different locations, food options etc, I always like to have a camp to look forward to. Zippo style hand warmer a good idea, will try it, although for cold conditions you can ,t beat a hot water bottle. Thanks for your comments Gordon all the best Pat
Hi Patrick. I'm new to your channel so watching some older vids. loved this one. what an awesome view you had to wake up to. Keep up the good work, looking forward to watching more of your trips. Conor, Ireland
What a wonderful educational video this is Patrick, thank you for sharing your knowledge and adventures. I'm just getting into the outdoors and find your videos very inspiring, again thank you Dr Paul.
Great little adventure Pat’. Most people will never understand why we do this sort of thing. Well done for not just being a fair weather adventurer, and also for not using ration pack food! Hope to see some more of your outings.🏕
Thanks Craig, cooking a great meal is a important and enjoyable part of any camp, can,t think of life without returning to the hills every few months, thanks Pat
Hey Patrick..recently started watching your videos... must say that i am inspired by your relaxed attitude to camping out. Great touch aswell with the homely food...makes mealtimes more enjoyable...thanks for the tips! steve the chalk ..Kent.
Hi Steve, I like to get away from stresses of modern life and sleeping out in the wilds certainly refreshes me, and some nice food as well, thanks for comments and watching Pat
Thanks John, remember this boulder and bivvying under it, thing is I have just done a similar camp with the same gear, be putting it on May 25, as I be one a OAP.... thanks Pat
+NorwegianWoods Hi Martin the camp was very enjoyable and yes I hope to be doing this for many years. I,am very envious of the snow you get as camping in the snow just makes for a greater adventure. Up to now we have had very little snow and may not get any more this winter All the best Pat
The snow and the cold certainly makes the adventure more challenging. We don't get as much snow as we used to in my part of Norway. I think every part of the world has its own unique thing that makes it special. - Martin
Great video and a great trip. Loved the cooking lessons. I might have to try to rustle up a nice balti. The rab bivi looked great. Nice and snug. All in all another great adventure. Your dead right about that. Take care. Look forward to the next one. Atb.
+Andy “RAINMAN” Wardle Hi Andy I was lucky with the weather and it did not rain. The bivi was really warm a bit too warm in fact, I had too much clothing on or it was the effects of the curry. Thanks for watching and all the best for your camping trips Pat
Absolutely love ya, Pat! Always love to here your introduction to your videos with the "Hi there!" Never stop saying it. I think you're simply GREAT! :)
I’ve looked at that Rab Bivvy a few times, looks very good , like your curry 🍛 👌🏼👏🏼 Pat I’d just like to thank u for the great videos , you’re inspiring me and giving me some good ideas for some future videos of my own , you’re great u really are 💪🏼👍🏼👏🏼😁
Really nice of you to say, the bivvy is real back to nature camping, preferably when it's not raining, hope you have some great camps planned...... thanks Pat
@8:59 , anybody seeing / sensing.... how cool that little "nook" Pat has found actually "is" ? up in the peaks, in February !...in that little knoll.......brilliant ! i hope to experience something like this, one day.
Hi Patrick great videos watched a few now, discovered this channel about a week ago great stuff! Just bought my first wild camp got an Akto looks great got a camp planned for about two weeks time in Snowdonia really looking forward to it, keep on with the videos great content mate thank you 😊
Thats tremendous Patrick... I only started solo wild camping last June but I been watching and learning from your vlogs. I bought a Soulo instead of going to Tenerife lol...but glad I did. I'm also looking into getting a Bivvy and its looking like its gonna be the Ridge Raider...although I did originally take a fancy to the Ridge Master only to find out its been discontinued ...oh well never mind...btw you make better meals camping than i do at home haha!! ATB, Mark :)
Hi Mark good investment that new tent, Tenerife will be there next year, your new tent should last for years and give some great adventures, the bivvy is great for lightweight adventures if you hose your weather carefully, thanks Pat
Hi pat thanks for the videos they are very interesting keep up the good work. You've inspired us to take a camping trip next weekend in the Peak District. Could you recommend some good walks suitable for children. All the best Chris Norris.
+Chris Norris Hi Chris you,ve picked a great place to camp and go walking, so many walking area,s to choose .the edges like Stanege, Froggatt, Curbar are all pretty level and well marked there safe for children as long as you keep a eye on them as some vertical drops at the edges ,very popular with climbers. The Great Ridge is a spectacular walk from Mam Tor to loose Hill at around 500 meters great views, you can do it the easy way by parking at Mam Nick car park and only 15-minute walk to top of Mam Tor popular for school trips. For easy walking park at Chatsworth house, our jewel in the Peak District only £3-00 all day plenty of level walking by the Derwent river and area around Chatsworth, if your feeling rich take your children to the Adventure Playground they will love it. For real walking and adventure there are Kinder Scout and Bleaklow at 600 meters, compass and map essential. This is just a few places google these for more info. Hope you enjoy your trip Thanks Pat
+43whisky Hi and thanks for comments, yes out in the hills on your own at night not clock watching is a great experience, and to get away from our hectic lifestyles, Thanks for watching Pat
+Squatts Wild Camping Hi Mark yes was a good bivvy would of like a bit of snow but might of chickened out with the bivvy and taken my tent. Hoping to get out in next few weeks and hopefully Spring and some dry weather is not far off. Thanks all the best Pat
Hi Pat, have you ever considered using your rab ridge raider together with a tarp? I do this with my 1 man tent, using a DD hammocks super-light tarp in small size ( 2.8m x 1.5m and only 265 grams) and using it as a sort of porch extension, it gives you a "Living space" as well as the "sleeping space" given by the bivvy. It would be great to see you use something like this, especially if you could use the natural surrounding elements ( trees, rocks, etc ) to rig up the tarp in various configurations, i'm sure i'm not the only one who would like to see you do this kind of thing. All the best for 2020, Matt.
Hi Matt, I like my Rab ridge raider bivvy because it's lightweight and simple to set up, combining with a tarp has its advantages but when I look at the weight and set up I think why not bring my tent on it's own on it's own, tarps in summer sound good, all the best Pat
Your words are the same as mine Patrick, another class video ,we only live once and adventures live on in the mind forever.hope you had your hip flask at the ready 👍
Angela KM good tip there! I cannot stand it on its but in a chicken balti it would taste well good and make sense in that open moorland air. I think Pat captures something truly base and elemental here that is pure inspration to us lost city and suburban souls.
Great video Patrick. You have one hell of an appettite :-) The Pataks curry brought back some memories. I used to run their building maintenance for them, before they moved to a new premises.. Keep up those videos mate....
+Billy Sherratt Hi Billy nice to hear from you the Pataks curry certainly kept me warm later in the night I was so hot had to shed my down jacket and fleece even though it was down to freezing outside, powerful stuff. I,am looking forward to doing more bivvying this year, all the best Pat
Hi Keen glad you found my channel, mostly wild camping but have a lot of other interest so trying to put some different videos on in future, thanks for watching Pat
Patrick: thank you so much for these amazing videos! If you ever fancy some desert or jebel camping here in Oman, let me know! It would be a pleasure to meet you.
Wayne Farrell Hi Wayne and great to hear from you from Oman, never really camp more than 10 miles from home. Camping in the desert sounds a great adventure thanks for that really appreciate it, Pat
+David Hailwood Hi David, I,ve walked over Bamford Edge a few times and thought what a great spot to camp with the view over Ladybower. My youtube ID or whatever you call it picture was taken up there. will definitely bivi up there this summer great spot. Thanks for watching Pat
+thegeordiefellwalker Hi Geordie glad you enjoyed vid , was hoping to camp in snow but looks like not get much this year. Hoping to do a few more bivvying vids in next couple month. Thanks for watching ,all the best Pat
Awesome mini adventure Pat. I could almost taste that chicken balti myself. It must have tasted fantastic in that brisk February air. Its almost tempting to bring a beer or two but it is generally lousy in a can. Bottles weigh too much and don't pack out well.
@@patrickdickinson6492 How much can a man suffer for his passion Pat? You've got every angle covered. Decanting it into a good aluminium hip flask is best practice policy in my books! 😂
Pat I couldn't agree with you more about the adventure.... and also about everyone around me thinking I'm crazy. I will try to video some i think. Thanks Billy.
Hi but these are such fantastic adventures, they will be with you for life, have a go at videoing, will add something that you can share and show your adventures, all the best Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 I know mate. I have tried the video thing and put it up in the last couple of days. Just a first attempt more to get used to editing (which I need to improve on) and uploading. I will work on the quality too as I did it all on the iPhone. Would be grateful of a bit of feedback if you can spare the time. ua-cam.com/video/gc_vXAI1IPk/v-deo.html All the best mate Billy
I wonder if Patrick ever had chance to crawl round the artificial tunnels that used to be in the Matlock Mining Museum? I used to enjoy them no end. The good lady wife says it gave her chance to visit the shops while I had a play.
Patrick Dickinson I have looked on the net & I am pretty sure the museum is no longer where it was. It used to be located betwixt the A6 & the river. Right next to the petrifying well. Which I understand is also no more. The tunnels were in a floor to ceiling heavy plywood construction. The tunnels were about shoulder width & were meant to represent mine shafts etc. One of the features was a floor to ceiling vertical shaft with rungs to climb up. I have a feeling health and safety may have hastened it's demise. I think a risk assessment may have asked. Is there a chance that someone could fall in the shaft & break a bone. If they did might it require Fire & Rescue to cut them out. The answer to both is yes.
Have you tried those breakfast in a can yet by hunger breaks. Tesco & morrisons sell them. Got one to try in my rucksack at the moment for a wild camp next weekend. That and a can of big soup in the evening plus some fresh rolls. I like the idea of cooking a full meal like this though, will try it one day if I can find the space lol. Might have to upgrade to a 120l bergen
snacklofter hi yes there will be a lot of snow up there would be nice to be out there, but not that easy to get out at short notice, look like alot more to come this week, all the best Pat
Missing the outdoors with lockdown. Harcles Hill/Bull Hill near Ramsbottom look easy for beginners to wild camping 🙂 You're up in the wilds, yet very close to everything you need & on easy paths 🙂
Another superb film cant wait to bump in to you one tea time out on the area after a hard days slog and buy you a pint -perhaps the Strines Inn another fantastic watering hole ! Did you ever go in the Flouch pub , now long gone and I truly love the fact you go to the trouble to eat well ! too many people cut back on this and take dehydrated tat one of most fun skills when biving is the cooking
Came for the camping, stayed for the food. Loving the videos Patrick, keep it up.
vreetech Hi yes camping and great food go together, thanks for the comments, Pat

Only just found your videos and I’m hooked.
Binge watching!
Thanks for sharing your camp outs 👍

Yes Jim when I,am out wild camping, then everything is all OK with the world, all the best Pat
Proper breakfast. Nothing finer in the fresh air. Nice one Pat..

Hi Paul thanks for that it was a great spot to camp sheltered by the big boulder, thanks for watching Pat

Hi Steve, I like to get away from stresses of modern life and sleeping out in the wilds certainly refreshes me, and some nice food as well, thanks for comments and watching Pat
Eating like a king, great views, another great video.
Another great video Patrick.
Thanks for commenting, Pat
great video, loved watching this
Watched most of your videos Pat, but only just found this one. Not disappointed. Keep up the good work mate.
Thanks John, remember this boulder and bivvying under it, thing is I have just done a similar camp with the same gear, be putting it on May 25, as I be one a OAP.... thanks Pat
You've giving me some great ideas. Thanks and Happy Holidays from Texas
Hi and great to hear from Texas, the fun of wild camping is trying different gear and ways of cooking part of the attraction. A the best for 2018 Pat
It is always a pleasure to watch your videos. I to hope you keep doing this for many years :)
Thanks - Martin
Always love to here your introduction to your videos with the "Hi there!"
Never stop saying it.
I think you're simply GREAT! :)
Hi and thanks for the very kind comments, Hi there, good Yorkshire greeting, thanks Pat
I’ve looked at that Rab Bivvy a few times, looks very good , like your curry 🍛 👌🏼👏🏼
Pat I’d just like to thank u for the great videos , you’re inspiring me and giving me some good ideas for some future videos of my own , you’re great u really are 💪🏼👍🏼👏🏼😁
Really nice of you to say, the bivvy is real back to nature camping, preferably when it's not raining, hope you have some great camps planned...... thanks Pat
you got it cracked mate. enjoying your vids
tarmac245 This was a great spot, out in the hills and nice and sheltered, thanks for comments Pat
@8:59 , anybody seeing / sensing.... how cool that little "nook" Pat has found actually "is" ? up in the peaks, in February !...in that little knoll.......brilliant ! i hope to experience something like this, one day.
Lovely little spot, as there are so many of them, just needs a bit of searching out, thanks Pat
Hi Patrick great videos watched a few now, discovered this channel about a week ago great stuff! Just bought my first wild camp got an Akto looks great got a camp planned for about two weeks time in Snowdonia really looking forward to it, keep on with the videos great content mate thank you 😊
Hi Rob, great lightweight tent you got there, I had a Akto for a few years, only changed it to get a bit more room, thanks Pat
Hope you enjoy your trip Thanks Pat
nice video i totally understand where you are coming from about being out at night. nice one cheers and ATB
+43whisky Hi and thanks for comments, yes out in the hills on your own at night not clock watching is a great experience, and to get away from our hectic lifestyles, Thanks for watching Pat
Great video mate! Please keep them coming 👍🏻
bandgeeklee82 thanks for that, all the best Pat
Pure adventure, brilliant and full gourmet kitchen!
Looking forward to seeing your next trip.
ATB Mark.
+Squatts Wild Camping Hi Mark yes was a good bivvy would of like a bit of snow but might of chickened out with the bivvy and taken my tent. Hoping to get out in next few weeks and hopefully Spring and some dry weather is not far off. Thanks all the best Pat
Good lord Patrick Youve got better grub there than what iv got in the fridge!!
Starving now...lol
Martin Wa hi Martin yes major part of any camp is the food thanks for comments Pat
@9:13 what a great, cosy little setup & site there
Matt Last yes it was a nice spot the big boulder sheltered me from the wind and you could just sit and take in the view, thanks Pat
If it happened to be revealed you were in 23SAS about forty years ago, I wouldn't be surprised at all!!
Always a little further Pat!
Amazing comments, but I agree , just that bit further, we can all do it, all the best Pat
Your words are the same as mine Patrick, another class video ,we only live once and adventures live on in the mind forever.hope you had your hip flask at the ready 👍
Yes Stephen, we have to make the most of what we have, and really we do have a lot..... all the best Pat
Patrick - I use microwave rice when back packing and just add it in to the curry for the last couple of minutes to heat it up :)
Angela KM good tip there! I cannot stand it on its but in a chicken balti it would taste well good and make sense in that open moorland air. I think Pat captures something truly base and elemental here that is pure inspration to us lost city and suburban souls.
great video Patrick. looking forward to more.
Pat , My mouth is watering over that chicken curry and nan bread , Great video . Dan , from Can out .
Hi Dan very tasty curry, I think I overdid the spices as I was boiling hot at night, even though it was freezing outside, thanks for watching Pat
I,am looking forward to doing more bivvying this year, all the best Pat
looking forward to your videos :-)
Just stumbled upon your channel today, great videos and great adventures!
Hi Keen glad you found my channel, mostly wild camping but have a lot of other interest so trying to put some different videos on in future, thanks for watching Pat
Another great adventure Pat. Can't wait for my next camp. Well done 👍
Thanks Rich all the best Pat
Patrick: thank you so much for these amazing videos! If you ever fancy some desert or jebel camping here in Oman, let me know! It would be a pleasure to meet you.
Wayne Farrell Hi Wayne and great to hear from you from Oman, never really camp more than 10 miles from home. Camping in the desert sounds a great adventure thanks for that really appreciate it, Pat
Great video once again, recently solo camped on Bamford edge; weather not as good as you had, woke to mist an rain. ATB
+David Hailwood Hi David, I,ve walked over Bamford Edge a few times and thought what a great spot to camp with the view over Ladybower. My youtube ID or whatever you call it picture was taken up there. will definitely bivi up there this summer great spot. Thanks for watching Pat
great location great food result. enjoyed watching your adventure cheers Geordie.
+thegeordiefellwalker Hi Geordie glad you enjoyed vid , was hoping to camp in snow but looks like not get much this year. Hoping to do a few more bivvying vids in next couple month. Thanks for watching ,all the best Pat
Nothing wrong with your appetite Patrick, that's for sure!
Haha, yes love my food, and beer, don,t know where it all goes, thanks Pat
Thanks Patrick, brilliant vids, detail is perfect.
have a nice day have a nice day Hi and thanks for comments, great spot to camp this and some lovely food as well, all the best Pat
love your videos, just happened pon them, and look forward to all your adventuring, nice work!
Hi there glad you found my videos, mostly wild camping sometimes throw in something different, thanks for watching Pat
Watching all your old videos. Hope you're still able to get out and make vids during the next lock down. Stay well
Got a new wildcamping video out this evening, and hoping to produve more during lockdown, all the best Pat
Awesome mini adventure Pat. I could almost taste that chicken balti myself. It must have tasted fantastic in that brisk February air. Its almost tempting to bring a beer or two but it is generally lousy in a can. Bottles weigh too much and don't pack out well.
Yeah a beer or two would of gone down nice, but like you say its the weight, going to have to put up with a wee dram of whisky, all the best Pat
Hi Dave, I may off, been to the mining museum and if there is a tunnel then yes I would crawl through it, thanks Pat
Great video Patrick.... Will have to arrange a meet up for a night out....... Nothing better than a night in the peaks... :)
Be interested in those meals sounds very convienent. Although I do love cooking my own food, all the best Pat
Just ordered Rab bivi as I’ve been looking into it and watched your vids on it ,and am inspired by them.Cheers Pat👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
You, ve made a great choice, and hopefully some nice weather coming up for you to try it out, thanks Pat

snacklofter hi yes there will be a lot of snow up there would be nice to be out there, but not that easy to get out at short notice, look like alot more to come this week, all the best Pat
Fantastic job loved it
Stephen McDermott Hi Steven and thanks for the comments. remrmber this spot as a great place to camp thanks Pat
just found ya channel Patrick, looks really comfy I'm jealous. !! LOL
Hi Gary glad you found it, part of camping for me is the food, hope you enjoy my videos. Some great ideas for 2019, all the best Pat
Missing the outdoors with lockdown. Harcles Hill/Bull Hill near Ramsbottom look easy for beginners to wild camping 🙂 You're up in the wilds, yet very close to everything you need & on easy paths 🙂
Sounds a great place to camp Michael, hopefully we will all be back out soon, thanks Pat
Hi Michael, agree cooking a nice meal one of the best parts of any wildcamp, hopefully bump into you one day, all the best Pat
