I think a better way of rating these would be to take the first two seeds, determine which is better, then every seed after that, ask if it's better than the current number 1. Just rating them on a scale from 1 to 10 is hard because, as you said, you have to save high ratings for seeds you haven't seen yet. You end up comparing the seeds to your idea of a perfect seed (which might not even exist) rather than the existing competition.

True, i have the idea that sometimes you just have to compare each other to see whos better than to just give points which might not be accurate because it can be subjective in nature.

6:08 Just tested this on 1.20, and a few things to note
Some birch trees are replaced with Cherry Trees
Sinkhole reappears, but not as big as seen in 1.19.2

You missed something really crazy in that first mountain seed: there's a flow of lava that rolls down the mountains and destroys the village. It's basically the Pompeii seed.

this winning seed now also contains in 1.20.1 an open cave in this mountain on the inside that drops all the way to bedrock and a deep dark seed with a lake of lava in the middle of it at the bottom. the seed keeps getting better every update we get 😂

The seeds submitted later in the challenge just got a higher rating because they were submitted later.
Some of the seeds submitted early on are more impressive than the seeds later on but got a low rating.
Yeah, I hope they rechecked the ratings and seeds they were given before making the final decision.
agree. the mushroom in the middle of the other island was pretty cool and def deserves higher points. they’re so harsh at the beginning because it’s the beginning and they need to control the score as it goes on

that was very entertaining, also, idk why but looking at that lake surronded by mountains litterally gave me chills, thats the kind of heavenly view id love to see in real world
the winning seed is even better in 1.19.1: theres a massive cave system in the lake valley that goes down to near bedrock, but even cooler is that it looks like an ancient city was supposed to spawn at the bottom, but it was cut up by the lava lake, so theres just bits and pieces of deep dark there if you want easy access to sensors or wardens for catalysts

Regardless of who won or lost, all these seeds are now for the world to see and appreciate, and each seed here will be picked by some player at some point, for different reasons.
Maybe they like the natural beauties, maybe they like the gameplay conveniences, maybe they like the weird structure generation.
Maybe they like to live in a valley with amazing mountains, or on an island with a beautiful view of the sea.

So many seeds that are unique out there, lots probably going unknown since most players don't think too much about it/look deeply enough. Stuff like this makes me want to find awesome seeds as well.

IT WORKS ON 1.20 AS WELL. It adds some cherry trees on part of the top but the hole still goes down to basically bedrock and the mountain range next to it is still there
ive actually naturally come across a hollow mountain before! me and my friend had had a vanilla survival world with a beautiful massive dripstone cave system inside a mountain but my friend never gave me the seed to build in it in singeplayer
I know it doesn't top much of anything found in this vid, but one seed I found had a cave that went through every possible cave biome in a single terra swoop force style elytra flight, then leads back out about 1500 blocks away with no major obstacles or dead-end turns, unless going up or down counts. Another cave had hundreds of those stone-surrounded water and lava pools floating above a massive Ancient City... Always check your caves, folks. I do not have the seed numbers anymore, sadly.

One time long ago in survival, il spawned on a little island (like 60x60) with not anything in sight. I tried to see is there were something far away so i turned on the game mode. After a couple of minutes flying towards one direction i came across a wall of blocks. with lands behind it. I spawned on an island inside a giant square of water this was incredible, it was like someone removed everything in a giant perfect square and then put a sea biome with a small island at the very center of it, it was amazing

I've come across a few encircled mountain seeds in minecraft, but I always lost the seeds, a shame because building bases in those has always been the coolest thing, so yeah, I'm totally using these

Stofix’s seed actually looks like Legend of Zelda, or at least how Zelda worlds feel to explore. The lake and the mountain valley look like an inverted Spectacle Rock.

I visited Stofix's world and as it turns out there's buried treasure at 9 -54 1029 which just makes it that much better. Im in the newer version of bedrock and there's the massive pit although it does look different.
there 3 out of 4 chainmail amror pieces and 2 potions. then the other normal stuff although there's not any gold diamonds or emeralds just iron
i forgot to mention that about i 3rd of the top of the mountains is just covered in the cherry trees which i think just make it better.
Stofix’s seed got even better, one of the walled areas is now cherry blossom, one of the best looking biomes.

Honestly, my new survival world (first time I’m playing Minecraft excluding LCE for the in a few years) is Stofix’s seed, generated on 1.19.2. Legit going to be my new survival world.
Also on 1.20 a cherry blossom biome generates really close by; obviously not in my survival world but pretty neat.

I’m a little late to the vid… but I think one small step could make this video way better. In my opinion I think if you had made a spread sheet first and labeled different grading techniques (scenery, diversity, spawn abilities, villages, portals, and more (that’s just the top of my head))!!! Grading scales tell people different characteristics about the seed and let’s people get a better understanding than just a number rating. The video was really cool still!

9:13 I just started a survival world with this seed and I’m shocked at how perfect of a starting place it is. There are so many cool details that it feels hand-crafted. I won’t spoil much but you should try to obtain milk first ;).

Jeraux Seed is insane for Survival:D the Spawn is awesome. Big as River Splitting a Forest leading into a Big Lake that has an insane Lush Cave under it:D all around the Area are big ass Mountains with Ancient Cities.. i counted about 15 in the Area + 4 Pillager Towers and also multiple different Villages in a 3k/3k Radius:D also the Location shown is beautiful^^
Although many people are sad that you quit they will always remember you as a legend bro ❤

I just found a seed when you spawn in your next to a outpost but if you move over about ten block dig straight down you have two zombie spawners that both can be lit at once plus is you about 40 blocks you find a skeleton spawner. So you can set up a double zombie area and a quick tunnel to a skeleton spawner and up top set up a raid farm.
man. seed finding is such a cool hobby/skill.

I once found a mansion in a jungle in a mountain. The jungle made it so that it hand vines in it. The mountain hid half of it but t the mansion was not filled with stone.
It really feels like something that could be generated with either Terralith or Tectonic, the fact it was all generated in a vanilla games really proves how much Mojang improved the world generation
