7:52 One thing to note about the SciCraft Quarry is that it is way more than just a normal "world eater". It actually moves all of the blocks into a long blast chamber and every block gets stored in a centralized warehouse
I think that Minecraft had many crazy moments, but discovery of world tearing via asynchronos threads (method used to get illegal blocks) just stands far-far above everything else. @@ilikepointlessinternetargument still tho it's a 1 to 1 recreation of a nation it's not like a 1 to 3 million no, it's a 1 to 1 the amount of effort put into that is a lot and it's kind of a shame it ends like that
I think there is a big moment you didn't mention. The spanish player ElRichMC obtained the bedrock item in SSP for the first time a couple of months ago. He even invented a farm method, and has stacks and stacks of bedrock items in his chests.
Correction: The enderdragon exp farm was not a new concept in 2018, the first working example was showcased in 2014 by Panda4994. This was particularly special as it was released before the dragon could be respawned and given that the original showcase was uploaded on April 1st, much of his audience understandably believed it to be impossible, but in fact it did work!
Its amazing the amount of dedication some players put into pushing Minecraft's boundaries!!! Now if only they had been giving this much effort into being social they wouldn't be sing-
One of the most impressive things I've ever seen created in Minecraft were the so called vanilla mods made with command blocks. Go online, copy a gargantuan command block string, plug it into a command block, it created a machine with even more command blocks that basically modded the game. I remember adding birds (before Parrots were a thing) and cars to the game with just a google search. I haven't looked up how far they've gotten in a while, but even that much was insanely impressive. Sure, these giant machines are crazy, but they just automate processes existing in the game. But using the game's own coding to create something entirely new? Now THAT is impressive
seeing all the broken seed moments reminded of something from a while ago. Back in like, 2012 or something like that, back when minecraft still had a fully playable free browser demo, I discovered a seed that looked like it was pulled straight out of maze runner. there were chunks completely missing all the way down to bedrock and so there were just these massive caverns that would stretch out as far as the eye could see with a bedrock floor, it was honestly so cool and I wish I remembered the seed.
The problem with videos like these are there are so many huge Minecraft projects and events that it's impossible for one video to show them all. Insanely impressive feats like speedrunning world records, technical Minecraft accomplishments , and massive builds get left out since there's no way to show them all.
Yeah like that time antvenom showed that there are seeds that are almost identical, or what about everything that happened on 2b2t. They weaponized glowstone. Or what about the snapshots where u can make water in the nether, or the one recently where you can make potion effects last forever in survival. Basically every seed from the old menu or that one painting was found. Minecraft was played in minecraft with a redstone thing. Or that one seed where u just burn in lava and die underground.
There's a lot of iconic Minecraft stuff specially in the early 2010s that wasn't covered. Like the first Stargate Enterprise 1:1 recreation, Redstone and custom map creation renaissance at around the time of FVDisco and Hypixel mapping, the first music parodies, I could go on. I'll be honest I haven't heard of 90% of the things in the video
It still amazes me how brilliant these people were to discover all of these amazing achievements. Minecraft is truely the most important games to ever exist.
3:55 This is better than the hyperinflation in the 1920s of Germany. In 1918, a loaf of bread cost one-quarter of a Reichsmarks, and four billion Reichsmarks in the October of 1923
I remember when i tried to create my single player flat map in a server, it merged the super flat with a common random seed and the chunks that were already loaded stayed in the super flat config, but the rest of the map changed. The result was a gigantic monolith-like terrain. Coolest thing i've ever seen in a map.
There's one thing that you missed, it was kind of small, but people generated spawners, with hostile mobs inside in survival. It used an old exploit where if you would push a certain configuration of blocks into unloaded chunks, and load them, it would try to generate a dungeon at that location. That was one of the first things that blew my mind.
There are definitely other huge Minecraft moments such as the first person to arrive at the Far Lands by foot recently, but there are so many of historical events that it would take hours
9:00 I remember playing this version with my friends when it came out, and I tried riding striders for the first time. There was a glitch where they couldn’t jump up or down blocks, but instead stay at the same y level everywhere they went. We used them to walk on the air by placing and walking through nether portals in the air, and the striders would walk normally as if there were blocks below them.
I remember when I had downloaded the Xbox 360 Trial version of Minecraft when I was 13. Played like that for a year. Building my first sky limit tower and jumping into the pond was the coolest achievement I thought I made in MC. Simple times, good times.
I'll never forget the day when 2b2t players actually made themselves immortal by somehow completely erasing their hitbox, no update suppression or stasis pearls needed.
