- Exposition of chapter 2 of James, concerning impartiality, faith and works.
I'm Rod Saunders, founder of Jew and Greek. I’m a musician, web developer, and a student of philosophy and economics. I recently published my first book on Amazon entitled Defending the Faith: Word of Faith Apologetics. It’s a response to the numerous charges against and misrepresentations of the Word of Faith movement and theology. I also have a CD of original music on CD Baby entitled Gates of Pearl. “Jew and Greek” is a good name because the two civilizations that influenced Western civilization the most were those of the Judeo-Christian and Greek worlds. From the Jews we received our values and a monotheistic theology, and from the Greeks we got philosophy which brought us science, sports, the arts, democracy, and economics. As a result I discuss all of the above in this blog and in my videos.

Good word. When I think of this passage of scripture related to works I think of Fred Price. Stepping out and believing God and trusting him not just believing truth
Keep applauding the insecure little boy.
Can't wait for chapter 3
Good video! Clear teaching on faith and works!
Preaching is not teaching. Especially not from a petulant insecure little boy pretending to be a grown ass man disguised with a beard.
Thank you again!
⭐ Awesome teachings
Many Thanks.
Great message, Rod. I knew that you could do it. ;-)

Good video
Great that clears up misconceptions concerning Faith Only that Saves without corresponding action (works - Eph.2:10) - The Born Again Believer who is God's workmanship created for good works (in Christ).
✝️🙌🏽🔥
Good word!
I can understand why Dr. Cho separated people based on their socioeconomic class but I think it's wrong. The issue of why blue collar people feel uncomfortable around white collar should be addressed. Separating them is does not address the real issue.
James is writing to a Jewish audience awaiting Jesus as Messiah. They that believed that reciting the Jewish Shema saved them. But the Shema is the introdution to the entire Law of Moses, and they were required to keep the Law in order to be saved. Ergo, "Was not Abraham justified by works?" James predates Paul. James doesn't even refer to the proper object of our pisteou: that Christ died for our sins and was raised or our justification.

That's all you have? A sigh?
