People hate on Trevor because he tells it like it is. Americans don't like the truth especially from an immigrant. Did haters expect a Jon Stewart copy? How original. Typical Americans.
What, and Jon wasn't biased? People don't like him because he's not really a good fit. Not sarcy/sardonic/ott enough. And basically not very funny, although I suspect the writing team may have changed.
Let's just get this, I understand if you hate the guy after this. But a kid from South Africa came to America and almost nearly overnight learned enough 'America' to communicate intelligently about America to overwhelm a lot of American's. You can call him many things, stupid and uninteresting cannot fairly and honestly be part of those. He's no genius but heavens what a mind and devotion. However this show goes down, we'll remember a black kid came from South Africa and for however short caught America's attention. Here's to a better future for all mankind. Thanks Trevor!
I think Trevor has been a worthy successor to Jon Stewart. He started off a little shaky, but he's definitely found his footing. He's bold and witty and hilarious, and isn't afraid to tackle serious or controversial subjects. Plus he's cute as hell! (Sorry, Trevor, but you are. Those dimples are adorable.)
Anogoya Dagaati thank u brother your comment made my day :) and people keep forgetting that we all came from black kid from Africa so God bless Africa our homeland !
I'm Sorry there seems to be so many people annoyed with this segment, as an Englishman I am afraid I don't possess the desire to be paranoid 24/7 over getting killed, may someone who is sane please tell me how taking the piss out of allowing mentally insane people possess guns, piss of so many people. I love weaponry in general, I like going to museums and I have spent hundreds of hours watching documentaries linked to weapons. I still believe weapons should be left to be used in a battlefield, for fucks sake how can this not make sense to some?
Generic slippery slope logic. A leads to B which leads to C. In this case: Mentally ill can't have guns -> no one can have guns -> Totalitarian takeover.
the Slippery Slope theory does not work. It's simple. Look at western countries with harsh gun laws.......less murders. Simple. No debate. Case Closed. America seems to treat Guns as a religion, that's why there is such offence at it. It's like the golden calf.
As a French person who moved to the U.S ages ago, the gun issue in the U.S still mystifies me...it's completely insane as far as I'm concerned. The biggest argument I hear for less gun control is that since the bad guys are going to get guns anyway, regular people should be armed to defend themselves (it's a stupid argument if you spend a fraction of a second thinking about it) . Also, quite a bit of the gun nuts seem to harbor a lot of anarchist fantasies, where their guns is the only thing that's keeping them free from government oppression.
Estrella Vega Exactly. I always find it silly, like: The government has an army, apache helicopters, hellfire drones, and nukes... and you think your rifle will save you? That argument worked 150 years ago when the military still used bayonets, not in any modern society.
I don't get why people hate on Trevor, Jon was amazing but he wanted to do something else with HIS life. Till so far I think Trevor is a brilliant replacement
Do you see how stupid the people who disagree with you are? Thank God they aren't as large of a minority as they seem. The fact that the Daily Show's ratings have gone to shit after Stewart left seem to support this assertion. The fact that Trump's doing so well, I think, can also be attributed to these people. They really don't know how to make a logical argument. Everything's racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, etc. ad nauseum, without any evidence to back their claims. The silent majority has seen this, and woken up. We do not want these idiots running a cash register, never mind our government.
To spot a racist all one needs to do is look for the first one to bring race up in a conversation. I would congratulate you, +PhantomAct, but it's certainly not something to be proud of.
Isn't the second amendment (“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”) direcly saying that gun use has to be well regulated? I always found the people referring to the second amendment strange because of that. Gun control isn't an infringement n your second amendment rights. Also you could argue that nowadays that just isn't true anymore.
no its not the second amendment was made so everyone could have the freedom own firearms be that for sport collecting or defending which even means even against for instance government tyranny gun control does infringe on rights because it goes against privacy laws as well because gun control means they would know everyone who owns a gun and they say they would do that cause gun shows dont do background checks but they do their is no way to buy a gun without a background check this has been proven so many times but people still want gun control which is the government taking one of your biggest rights away.
I'm a Bernie Supporter, BUT I do agree with the NRA's position on a few things. Most controversial of which is that people like the Victims Families of the Sandy hook shooting should NOT be allowed to sue the gun manufacturers, And just to break it down Barney style for you.. If a crazed madman decides to run over 10 people on the las Vegas Strip in a Camaro, you're not allowed to sue Chevrolet because they manufactured the car. And If we pass legislation like that then it will set a very dangerous precedent in the country where people will be suing any and all manufactures every single time a tragic event happens that isn't the fault of said manufacturer. Sorry Not Sorry. #BernieVsTrumpDebate
But if Chervolet made an Assault Camaro, designed specifically to kill as many pedestrians as possible in the shortest amount of time possible, and then proceeded to sell that vehicle to the general public, they should get sued. Vehicles like that belongs on the front line of a war.
lhl2500 Like military Assault humvees that were specifically designed to go to war in Iraq and Afghanistan that are then resold to the general population? If That's your question, then No, I do not agree.
Agreed the families should not be able to sue the manufactures but should be able to sue the law makers and rights activists groups that snubb the ATF and policies that help keep firearms under some sort of control.
@Loren: Get back to us when you lose someone to a random shooting with a perfectly legal assault rifle. We both know that if your kid had a previously un-diagnosed peanut allergy and ended up dying from a cookie, you'd sue the doctor that delivered him, the hospital who hired him, the company that baked them and the grocery store who sold them. You don't want people to sue? You're in the wrong country.
+GrizzleyBruin you'd Hope, in your hypothetical scenario, the parent of the lost child would be too busy grieving to go around suing other parties for cash..
please comedy central we need you to open your website region lock, or just upload the full episode on UA-cam. we're talking about The Daily Show specifically.
I'll take a shot at it ;) Given the fact that the ATF has a library of firearms and its intended reason is to help local police agency solve crimes, the reason why they are forbid to use computers is to slow down the investigative process. By creating a purposefully inefficient process, the NRA is ensuring the delay of figuring out what were the type of weapons used, where did they come from, and how did the criminals obtain them. Therefore, by the time the result comes in, the American public would forget the tragedy that occurred and are focused on something trivial such as the sex change of Bruce Jenners to Caitlyn Jenner.
***** With caveats, I don't like spying either. But if "spying" (loosely defined here) increases the efficacy of background checks etc, then I'm ok with a small amount of "spying", although I'm not sure to what extent you think this is happening.
+Carl Ri No, the NRA is the lobbying arm of the firearms industry. They use the 2nd Amendment BS to sell guns, period. Pure greed at it's most obscene.
Trump is a lobbyist for Trump as this is all he cares about. One could expect a president to care for everybody but this is not what Trump does he cares for himself, his property, his interests.
You can talk about the NRA being a rights association all you want, but when we live in a country where every single mass shooting is perpetrated by people with guns, but is also only ever stopped by unarmed bystanders, what purpose does the second amendment serve?
I think he should call for a " total and complete shutdown of firearm sales in the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what the hell is going on. We have no choice."
It just wouldn't be a good gun control video without an argument about whether guns are good or bad. I'll say this much. The highest number I've heard yet is something like 30,000 gun deaths per year in the U.S. Let's really think about how much of a "problem," this actually is overall using basic math. 320,000,000+ people live in the U.S.A. If you divide the number of gun deaths by the number of people, you'll get the percentage. 30,000/320,000,000 = 0.0001% (and that's actually over-generously rounding up) Doesn't seem like near the "crisis," that issues which are not only "acceptable," to the general public compared to private gun ownership, but actually subsidized by the federal and even state governments. Examples include bad diets (largely fueled by food stamps allowing the poorest people with the least choice in what they eat to use tax dollars to purchase junk food with no nutritional value at all), cigarette smoking, or alcoholism. But yeah...let's pressure politicians to restrict the rights of law abiding citizens even more from purchasing firearms. Instant background checks are all that should be needed. If no felonies or violent crimes show up...there's no legitimate reason that person shouldn't be able to walk out of the store with whatever weapon(s) they want within minutes. It's not like we don't have the technology to do an instant, yet plentifully thorough background check, so the idea of "expanding," background checks is just creating extra hoops for the rest of us to jump through for no real reason whatsoever.
you are comparing annual gun deaths to total population. maybe a better analogy is annual gun deaths to total gun deaths, om average 2.7 million Americans die a year. there are 10000 gun related homicides, and I will agree for the moment that these may have occurred otherwise. however, there are around 20,000 annual gun suicides, *around half of total suicides*. 2.7 million divided by 20,000 is around 1/150 of the total deaths that year. gun suicides are more often spur of the moment, as they require and correlate with less planning than successful suicides by physical or chemical means; access to a roof, appropriate slack for hanging, which overdoses cannot be treated at a hospital. Many of these people would not have sustained a lot of attention enough to employ other methods, and many more of these would not have been successful. You may view gun control as an overblown issue, but many people believe, and with decent (not infalliable, maybe these arguments only account for 50% or so of gun suicides) justification, that these lives could be saved through gun control legislation. Additionally if you take age groups from 15 to 35, suicide is the 2nd or 3rd most common cause of death, with rate being similar to 1/30 or something iirc. if you are in a room with 60 people and you can save one, is this really that misguided an argument? we spend billions on drug awareness, driving safety, is it that weird to address gun related suicides. btw I don't really care either way, but was trying to develop an argument
Back Upp Although I still think "gun control," is a frivolous argument compared to the arguments that aren't equally and/or more passionately made about bad diets, smoking and alcoholism...I appreciate you at least tried to actually rationalize and make an actual rebuttal instead of just calling me names or assuming that I'm a Republican like so many on the internet have done. I'm curious as to whether you're getting legitimate numbers or just muddling other deaths that aren't gun-related into the mix for the sake of trying to artificially inflate the numbers. I just double-checked numerous sources and the highest number of total gun deaths (homicides & suicides combined) in any given year I found was just under 34,000 in 2013. Your percentage with that highest number is still roughly 0.0001% or just a little higher. When people talk about how guns are "so evil," and guns "are the problem," they either don't care to or can't seem to do their own research on the issue of all homicides or all suicides (not just guns) worldwide...since many tend to use Europe, Australia & Japan as "great examples of why we need gun control." Most people usually try to claim that guns are somehow responsible for mass shootings or that people should be further restricted just because someone who while crazy, didn't have any red flags come up...shot up a bunch of people in a movie theater (2013) or shot up an elementary school. Honduras is a great example, if you compare homicide rates because where the U.S. has a total homicide rate of about 4 out of every 100,000 people...Honduras has about 90 out of every 100,000 and almost nobody except criminals have guns in that country. I'm not a super duper gun fanatic and personally don't feel a need to open carry or even conceal carry in public...but I am a human rights fanatic and one of the first tactics of virtually all the worst dictators in history (Mao, Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin, Lenin, etc., etc...) was to disarm the citizens, so they could not rebel as easily, if at all. I feel like I have much more justification for concern about the "gun control," crazies insisting on "salvation through legislation," than they do for "wanting common sense gun control." It's just as weird to spend billions on "drug awareness," while continuing the so-called "War on Drugs," which anyone with common sense can see is an abysmal failure as it is to freak out about guns. It's also just as weird to spend billions on "driving safety," when the majority of traffic tickets do next to nothing to actually keep anyone safe and is in fact just a revenue generator by the state as it is to freak out about guns. One out of 60 definitely does seem reasonable (even if it were the actual number of people who die yearly from guns), but I still don't think even saving that many yearly is worth infringing on our rights and requiring those who are obeying the law and are doing no harm to others or themselves to jump through extra hoops. To further conclude things, with such a relatively low gun death rate (homicides and suicides combined) compared to the over 200 million privately owned guns in this country...I feel like it's probably one of the most overblown issues in our country. It's almost as ridiculous in my mind as the continued fights by "right-wingers," against abortion, gay marriage and transgender bathroom use.
+Orange Anarchist I agree with your conclusion, not to be callous, but I would not choose to save that person either if it meant making a wide societal change, without first considering how much effect a measure might have on society. I also agree that most enthusiasts of gun control do not hunt or shoot for pleasure. In the end, most legislation being proposed will probably effect gun culture as well as affect impulsive suicides or homicide/manslaughter. It is, however, callous to dismiss the deaths, in particular suicides, that result from widespread access to guns, if you do not acknowledge that they exist, or that they are insignificant, even if you feel that they are more a symbol than a common cause of death. By the way, impulsive gun deaths, for many people represent preventable violence, and not entertaining any ideas on gun regulation is seen as stubborn headed and heartless. For example to factor diagnoses like major depression, extreme anger management issues, etc. would require gun registration, which is many hyper gun owners reject off the bat as being "a log of government opposition to target come the dictatorial coup", assault weapon mental health checks as being violation of 2nd amendment etc., basically there are real problems, symbolic or otherwise, that have a real impact on lives, for example school shootings I'm sure terrify parents, gun suicides affect a large amount of families, etc., and nra buffs counter them with theoretical points. On another note, I don't think it's good practice to say what percentage of people die due to guns without context, for example, probably around 1% of Americans die a year since life expectancy is 87ish, and cancer or heart disease probably kills 1/8 of those, I can say cancer/heart disease only kills .125% of Americans a year, so small, why should we bother with it. However, if you take the ratio of the rates you would get 1/8 deaths, which is more understandable. I also filtered young people because most deaths in the elderly relate to ailments that even if cured would not significantly increase expectancy. P.S. I used NHS and reputable sources for the statistics I used.
Back Upp I do agree that if we're going to have a government, then all ideas should at least be considered, even if they ultimately get voted against. Freedom in exchange of ideas is very important and there's definitely a large lack of that in just about every aspect in today's political climate. I've already stated that as far as "gun control," I feel like about the only law I can support would be having to submit to an instant background check that comes back within minutes and unless there's a serious violent crime or multiple violent crimes in your history...you're good to buy whatever you want. As someone's who's studied psychology in great depth and read almost the entire DSM-IV (haven't read the updated DSM-V at all, but doubt there are too many changes)...I feel like trying to put too many different mental illnesses into the category of further restricting a person to own a gun would be a very slippery slope. Almost anyone at any time can be diagnosed with at least one, if not multiple severe mental disorders based on symptoms being displayed or talked about in a therapy session. On that subject though, I'd rather support more funding going towards properly treating mental health issues rather than requiring diagnoses to be a part of the instant background checks. Violent criminal histories show whether or not someone could potentially harm themselves or another with guns, but mental health diagnoses don't necessarily paint that same picture. Plus...not every crazy gets diagnosed which is more of a reason why I'd rather spend more effort towards more accurately diagnosing at least the more serious mental illnesses. Depression among numerous others even have different categories. Sometimes, it's just short-term. Should these people be required to wait several days for a gun just because they were diagnosed in the past for something that's already gone away? Even in your own numbers though...heart disease is still a far more common cause of death hence a more serious threat to us as a nation and as a human species than guns will ever be. My main point of my rant is that the gun control debate is overblown and I say that mostly because there's more emphasis from many of the proponents for "real gun control legislation," than there is to end childhood obesity or to legalize weed & hemp as well as decriminalizing all drugs effectively ending the "War on Drugs," which kills far more innocent people than guns (not to mention the numerous lives ruined as a result leading to recidivism back into the prison complex) or to treat alcoholism like the real threat to public safety that it is and try to impose at least more restrictions on it (since prohibition didn't work obviously). It's hard not to sound heartless on the internet and I truly do feel for those whose lives have been negatively affected by gun violence and gun suicides. I've had a friend who hung himself in middle school and I've had friends who have been killed in drunk driving accidents, so the realities of preventable tragedies is very much there and very personal to me. That being said, I don't support banning or restricting the use of anything and everything that could be used as a noose and I also don't support DUI laws that allow police to throw you in jail, confiscate your license and possibly ruin your life solely because you were under the influence of a substance. Gun laws won't prevent criminals from having guns and they also won't prevent crazy people from acting out in other ways such as using other weapons to kill their victims. Like you said at the beginning of your last response. To impose new rules on over 300 million people just because some people did preventable things is just plain unjust and won't be as effective as many hope it would be.
John Johnson Since I'm such a "piece of..." just for having a difference of opinion on the topic....there's not really much to say other than that insults typically prevent actual discussion. I bet you'd be real good on Trump's new reality TV show "Running for President," as one of his staunch suppressors of dissent. I've never been a member of the NRA and I don't care for their group either. They're more about partisanship than they are about gun rights anyway. The fact that they chose Mitt Romney who enacted some of the toughest gun laws in the country as governor of Massachusetts is proof of this. True gun rights enthusiasts know that they don't need an NRA or to even obey any law that would overreach bounds and attempt to confiscate people's guns. There are plenty who feel that the right to bear arms is fundamental even if they don't own a firearm. I'm not worried about "common sense gun regulation," but that doesn't change that it's an overblown issue. The feelings about victims aside, if we were to actually allow our emotions to dictate how we govern, then the U.S. would've likely already been a "Muslim-Free," country long before Trump jumped into the game. I'm pretty sure I said that I care, but if you're already not going to believe me, then there's no point in making this a "back n' forth," whatsoever. If you want to have a discussion, then let's do that. If you want to just hurl insults and try to suggest that my character is something that you project onto it, then let's just agree to disagree and move on.
Liberal media would never talk negative about their candidate. Thats how they brainwash all the dumb people. Those idiots that dont realize, without the 2nd Amendment, they have no rights at all. The more craziest part is, most of these gun control people, aren't even from the US. If Hillary was really for gun control, she wouldnt be surrounded by 30 armed guards 24/7. Same goes for all those other politicians that preach about gun control.
As would be expected. Did you expect Jon Stewart copy. It was never mean't to be the same. However Trevor brings a different POV and perspective. And he is funny. Unfortunately its election season and he has to work with material that is written for him. I don't think he is been long enough in the US to bring an experienced mind to it but he is holding his own and he speaks many facts.
I wonder how family members of the victims at the concert that night in Paris would feel watching the "boom boom" bit in this video? Who cares how he gesticulated the shootings? The lead singer of the band had pieces of skull and teeth from a 19 year old girl who got shot in the head removed at the hospital after the attacks. I miss the days when The Daily Show wasn't a complete sellout to the Left. It was always left leaning obviously, but Stewart tried to maintain a professional and somewhat unbiased approach. This guy wants to talk about pandering? All he and he show do is pander to the obvious Leftist jokes every single night of the week now. Politics aside, that's just lazy ass, fearful writing. Plus bad television, which is why the ratings are down every bit as much as Stewart no longer being on the show.
Sorry Ibrahim - firstly, Trevor does a great job and if you don't like him you're not required to watch. Secondly, it's time you grew up just enough to realize that other human beings, Mr. Stewart included, are perfectly free to choose their own actions and are not on the planet solely to amuse you.
He's not coming back... and he doesn't need to. The show has evolved. Trevor Noah is hitting his stride, doing a great job. He's only going to get better. Don't bring him down with this lamenting over Jon Stewart. Move on.
Actually his stand up show is hilarious. But this is not a stand up.... this is news commentary....so its bound to be analytical and serious sometimes.
Trump talking to NRA- Guns! My sons have guns, we love guns. We are gun people. Trump talks to corn farmers- Corn! My sons eat corn. We love corn. We are corn eaters.
I must say that i start to like Trevor more now that i am used to his way of hosting the show. Although he is more making fun of others, with only a few sharp points of exposing BS. While Jon Stewart exposed the full BS on others. But Trevor... you're new. This is still your first year so i hope you keep improving your style.
I simply can't believe Jon Stewart chose to give his show to this *_hack_*. Because of Stewart, the Daily Show had a *STERLING* reputation for honesty, accurate, no biased reporting. This new *CLOWN* has destroyed that brand which Stewart spent so many years building. Stewart's attention to detail was the reason that The Daily Show was the #1 NEWS organization in the U.S. - now, this isn't even news, just slapstick. Why did Stewart _do_ this??? TDC is now just _painful_ to watch (which is why I only rarely do it anymore). Such a loss.
I can't hear the phrase, "He says what is on his mind", without imagining it coming out of an old guy, with a southern twang, in his rocking chair on the porch of his trailer slowly rocking next to his shotgun and his sister/wife/aunt.
Why aren't you getting on to THE NATIONAL TRUCK ASSOCIATION for blocking bans on automatic assault trucks? And I still haven't found any good deals on pressure cookers at gun shows!
>Wayne LaPierre complaining about "knockout gamers" Hey, remember when far-right nutjobs hated gamers, instead of pretending to be them? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Yeah, but how would having a gun stop that? Unless you have a loaded gun in your hand at all times with the safety off, how would you stop it? Either way, by the time you woke up, does anybody think that the thug would allow the victim to keep his gun?
>usernames are "Gunman610" and "Literally Hitler" >profile pic is from some Assassain's Creed III DLC >assuming my political stance >calling it "meme arrows" Holy shit has 4chan gone down the shitter.
When you think that not agreeing with current US gun laws, is being liberal. You have reach a new level of bubble mentality. Even conservative parties in other countries *laugh* at the GOP. The GOP is generally used as scary example of how bad it can get, in the rest of the world. But sure, we're the ones with the "liberal bias", I know I know;)
aanler, when you are acting as a big faceless multi billion dollar corporation's apologist, pointing fingers without ever stating any actual facts just looses some of its punch.
Wow I laughed so hard at this new Trevor Noah Daily Show bit.... Said no one ever. I miss John Stewart. Seriously the bed sheet company joke? That's all you came up with?
People hate on Trevor because he tells it like it is. Americans don't like the truth especially from an immigrant. Did haters expect a Jon Stewart copy? How original. Typical Americans.
no no no... people don't like him because he is biased.
l think your right there.
What, and Jon wasn't biased? People don't like him because he's not really a good fit. Not sarcy/sardonic/ott enough. And basically not very funny, although I suspect the writing team may have changed.
Point taken.. I agree
As a self sufficient Taxpaying Citizen of the United States of America, I find your 'Observation' to be astoundingly inept.

i don't see why Trevor is getting hate for not being exactly the same as Jon stewart! he is doing a pretty decent job!
donalt trump bitc*es say that
Totally agree.....
I prefer Trevor actually. I've only been watching regularly ever since he took over.
I like Jon Stewart too tho, he's awesome.
yeah he is very good though i don't think he's as good as Jon Stewart
yeah. he's super good at reading his script.
You know, im sick of people hating on this guy. he's doing a pretty good job
He isn't funny, his comedic timing is off, he's only funny if you're a liberal and need your propaganda fix
+Styrkur oooooooo. propaganda. so republicans don't produce any?
I don't know what your comedy standards are, but he's pretty funny. Have you ever seen any of his shows?
+Tom Lunt did I say that? Oh no, I didn't.
+Styrkur mate its a question, if you had said something about republican propaganda, I wouldn't have asked
Stab, stab. Pizza, Pizza.
sounds good
Hahaha best part
I didn't get that. :(
+Omerta0414 "pizza pizza" is referring to the Little Caesar's commercial lol
lol
Ok, I have to admit, the "shoot the messenger" joke was actually pretty damn clever. Bravo, show.
*pauses video to LOL* Oh my God! That mailbox joke was brilliant. xD I love it.
the reagan niple clamps explain a little bit too much about Ted Cruz
why even pause if you laugh out loud :D
Silvia Rodriguez So that I can hear the rest of the clip clearly too. :D I don't want to miss any other funny parts. Thank you for asking.
+Christian Schoff you were so kind with that reply.
Trevor you are doing a good job. I still enjoy the show.

The last few weeks these segments have definitely been getting better. I don't know what's up at the new Daily Show, but keep it coming.
I wasn't convinced of Mr Noah in the beginning, but his delivery keeps getting better and better :)
Only Trump can finish what I started.
Protect Europe from the bolsheviks?
Fuck up the world.
jesus that name is insane XD
*****
We can criticize him for a lot of things, but his art isn't one of them. Hitlers art was amazing. :)
holy shit that name
Jesus, this show has went to the dogs.
*has gone
*Dun Gone
Nah, it's awesome. Trevor's amazing. Go fish a Narwal!
Trevor Noah, you really kick it. Telling it like it is. Live Long and Prosper on the Daily Show, man. :-)
08:15 HATERS? Oh man, we can't have that.
Trevor has definitely found his groove. I'm loving it
5:07 Somebody may read Jojo's Bizarre Adventures.
Anyone notice how Wayne LaPierre looks kinda like an Iron Man villain?
Aaron Bradley
puctuation? Do you speak it?
Because your lack of it makes it really hard to read your text.
+Mr8lacklp if that's the biggest rebuttal you have then that's pretty damn sad.
he has a point though punctuation please its hard to read
Aaron Bradley
No of cause it's not, I was just tired because it was like half past eleven in the evening in here.
Trevor is killing it!
The NRA guy sounds more like Bane from The Dark Knight Rises. Maybe that was a more apt comparison than Trump?
Was lobbying for less gun control part of your plan?
If you were casting him in a movie, it would be the cold-blooded humourless death camp commandant
+SirOrdo What happens if I remove your gun rights?
Lyoko104 It would be extremely painful
I, a South African, miss John Stuart's more objective Daily Show.
Now that you mention it, I do recall Donald Trump having done a pizza commercial in the past.
please comedy central we need you to open your website region lock, or just upload the full episode on UA-cam. we're talking about The Daily Show specifically.
Trevor is hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good job Champ keep doing best.
5:10 Kira?
I absolutely cannot get enough of his commentary. I love this guy!
Someone here who can explain with what reasons they forbid the use of computers?
As a guess, they don't trust technology? lol
Because they're fucking stupid.
I'll take a shot at it ;)
Given the fact that the ATF has a library of firearms and its intended reason is to help local police agency solve crimes, the reason why they are forbid to use computers is to slow down the investigative process.
+Brock Obama probably stop commenting on the internet if you don't like that happening...
***** With caveats, I don't like spying either. But if "spying" (loosely defined here) increases the efficacy of background checks etc, then I'm ok with a small amount of "spying", although I'm not sure to what extent you think this is happening.
Time to start watching the daily show again....
Ah, ok I get it, Trump is not beholden to lobbyists except when it suits him. Makes perfect sense.
NRA is a rights association. Do you understand basic US history and our second amendment?
+The Daily Show with Trevor Noah
Congrats on getting over 100k subscribers, Trevor! Great show, awesome comedy, and excellent points.
"Stab stab pizza pizza" LOL I love Trump but this shit is funny
yap I want a president who insults everyone he disaggrees with too.
fuk american traditions. who needs manners anyway?
I want that album!
I think he should call for a " total and complete shutdown of firearm sales in the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what the hell is going on. We have no choice."
when Trump said Boom Boom. My neighbors fireworks went off. XD
okay I know it is a sad moment i'm sorry if you were offended about the ,"XD".
5:07 and then Yoshikage Kira started killing women for their hands.
So this is still on the air??? Their numbers can't be good.
30,000/320,000,000 = 0.0001% (and that's actually over-generously rounding up)
Doesn't seem like near the "crisis," that issues which are not only "acceptable," to the general public compared to private gun ownership, but actually subsidized by the federal and even state governments.
When people talk about how guns are "so evil," and guns "are the problem," they either don't care to or can't seem to do their own research on the issue of all homicides or all suicides (not just guns) worldwide...since many tend to use Europe, Australia & Japan as "great examples of why we need gun control."
Most people usually try to claim that guns are somehow responsible for mass shootings or that people should be further restricted just because someone who while crazy, didn't have any red flags come up...shot up a bunch of people in a movie theater (2013) or shot up an elementary school.
I feel like I have much more justification for concern about the "gun control," crazies insisting on "salvation through legislation," than they do for "wanting common sense gun control."
It's just as weird to spend billions on "drug awareness," while continuing the so-called "War on Drugs," which anyone with common sense can see is an abysmal failure as it is to freak out about guns.
Man! I (beep) Love Trevor!!!
Don't you love the smell nationalism in the morning
Really good video!
how come Trevor Noah never talk about Hillary's lies and flip flops?
Cause Comedy Central is a huge liberal run channel. They had HRC on one of their shows, saw right past that shit.
Felons...
Ted Cruz looks like penguin from batman
without stewart this just isnt the same
Can you do a better job???? or are you bedridden spectator?
As would be expected. Did you expect Jon Stewart copy. It was never mean't to be the same. However Trevor brings a different POV and perspective. And he is funny. Unfortunately its election season and he has to work with material that is written for him. I don't think he is been long enough in the US to bring an experienced mind to it but he is holding his own and he speaks many facts.
Marico DoSantos i can do a better job, yes.
+Sarah Connor Eagerly awaiting your video covering the election.
so ehat? the show must go on. no one made him quit
"Stab, stab. Pizza, pizza."
Okay Trump is likely going to be a shitty president at best ,but I also want a copy of "Now That's What I call Tragedy"
What are u talking about? He will make a great president becuase he will lift the nafta bill and build a great big wall.
guys if you get like on your comment do you get some sort of notification or what ? I wouldn't want to miss such an honor..
Well, did ya?
I heard you get a notification if you dislike. Can you confirm?
Tell us now! I doubt it though
no guys but i did get notification for your comments, thanks guys !

"fearful writing." Irony.
Men fuck Paris people die everyday...just shut-up!!!
"i dont even know if she is smiling" hahaha
"agents of S.H.O.O.T.S." LOL
This was a good one, keep it up hostie :)
About as good as daily diarrhea
#MakeJonStewartComeBack
fuck off
Sorry Ibrahim - firstly, Trevor does a great job and if you don't like him you're not required to watch. Secondly, it's time you grew up just enough to realize that other human beings, Mr. Stewart included, are perfectly free to choose their own actions and are not on the planet solely to amuse you.
+XantiaD amen
He's not coming back... and he doesn't need to. The show has evolved. Trevor Noah is hitting his stride, doing a great job. He's only going to get better. Don't bring him down with this lamenting over Jon Stewart. Move on.
No I like trevor I want jon to come back for the elections :p
Abe Lincoln finally gets some peace and quiet... lmao
Trevor is a mess.
Trevor is a waste
Then don't watch - or couldn't you work that out?
+Baccus Olypus you broke the chain
Back Upp Baccus is a big fat mistake.
cant handle the jokes of facts..
Trev, do up the button of your suit
You're only suppose to do one...
This guy is not funny.
Oh yes he is (That will have gone over your head at the height of the space station)
Couldn't agree more.
All these shows like this, Oliver, and Samatha Bee, just spout progressive talking points. It's sad that they think it's edgy.
Actually his stand up show is hilarious. But this is not a stand up.... this is news commentary....so its bound to be analytical and serious sometimes.
damn,you burned him good
Julius Caesar stab stab, pizza pizza 😆😆😂😂
this is an awesome show no matter what other people say
The subtitles are hilariously off by the time you get 30 seconds into the video.
I like the story behind NRA. organization.. Still crazy after all these years. Evolving takes time! Appreciated the humor and delivery.
Best Senior trip ever. Every one could drink legally.
Trevor has got a lot better since I last saw.
Wayne LaPierre?
...so his name is "Wayne the Rock"
If his Dad's name is John, I'm gonna lose it.
For some odd reason, I like how people mimic Trump's Voice, sounds really hilarious
I love you Trevor
Trump talking to NRA- Guns! My sons have guns, we love guns. We are gun people.
Trump talks to corn farmers- Corn! My sons eat corn. We love corn. We are corn eaters.
"I love the sound of demogogary in the morning" HAHA
Every elfin Trevor Noah show I look at IU have to endure this Simon ad. E ought already!
proud of you, how can I get tickets to watch you as a South African ?
Trevor reading through these comments and realising its time for a new job.
Go Trevor! #dailyshow
Yes because you shouldn't be able to defend yourself and use public transportation at the same time.
He does know that the president doesn't have the power to abolish a constitutional amendment, right?
These captions are terrible.
I can't hear the phrase, "He says what is on his mind", without imagining it coming out of an old guy, with a southern twang, in his rocking chair on the porch of his trailer slowly rocking next to his shotgun and his sister/wife/aunt.
Trevor's quality of jokes is correlating with his ratings.
can’t believe he came to louisville🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
God, I'm glad I'm going to university in the UK. Can't deal with this crap anymore
anyone else getting adds after adds with no skipping.UA-cam is getting annoying
Get adblock...if you're on chrome.
Firefox has much better adblocks.
Get Opera it has adblock baked in
F Chrome
Comedy Central has 30-sec unskippables on most every video, seems like. And they wonder why their views are dropping.
What the hell is up with the cc? it's absolutely crazy.
Why is his video always so quiet, but the music in the end is just blasting??? Annoying!!!
Why aren't you getting on to THE NATIONAL TRUCK ASSOCIATION for blocking bans on automatic assault trucks? And I still haven't found any good deals on pressure cookers at gun shows!
>Wayne LaPierre complaining about "knockout gamers"
Hey, remember when far-right nutjobs hated gamers, instead of pretending to be them? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
What? LaPierre is refering to people that "play" the "knockout game", as in, sucker punch some random victim trying to knock them unconcious.
Yeah, but how would having a gun stop that? Unless you have a loaded gun in your hand at all times with the safety off, how would you stop it? Either way, by the time you woke up, does anybody think that the thug would allow the victim to keep his gun?
>using meme arrows
>is a leftist
FUCKING NORMIE
>usernames are "Gunman610" and "Literally Hitler"
>profile pic is from some Assassain's Creed III DLC
>assuming my political stance
>calling it "meme arrows"
Holy shit has 4chan gone down the shitter.
Trevor Noah, when you're acting as a left-wing propaganda mouth piece, calling people out for being demagogues just loses some of its punch.
Those are his real views. That's the difference.
Your comment sounds like "whhhaaaaa, he is saying things with facts that I don't like, so I'm going to call him names! Whaaaaa!"
Mr0011011
Sure darling. :)
Guys, turn on the closed captions. They're funny as hell.
i love this style of humor, where he starts making a parrallell, all the way until it doesnt work out how you think, but works anyways.
@4:32 Is this for real? WTF! Man, how is this even legal?!
Wow I laughed so hard at this new Trevor Noah Daily Show bit.... Said no one ever. I miss John Stewart. Seriously the bed sheet company joke? That's all you came up with?
I'm trying to find the skit after this one, where it's second ammendment vs first ammendment... You can't just open carry a camera everywhere you go!
The right to bear arms shall not be infringed period.
Omg at 6:40 the agents of S.H.O.O.T. reference to S.H.I.E.L.D. and with the coup thing too xD
That should be his campaign slogan. TRUMP 2016: Now that's what I call tragedy!
i love how Donald Trump has an elephant for his logo
