first of all, we shared the same name. Secondly, I was hoping I'm a street photographer like you. 4 years ago I really had a big enthusiast in street photography but I need to give up and working from 9-6 now. I don't have a camera right now, I only have my phone which is a Nokia X6. A few weeks ago I watched your video, and damn you triggered my old dream and I really want to dedicate my weekend to take pictures again. I'm starting my medium account and want to talk about street photography as well. You can check my medium in this link if you have time : faizalfahmibaelul.medium.com/hometown-project-remember-the-old-dream-24afc3bd24bc
Thanks for being there and inspired me again on what I used to love even though I really not a good photographer back then until now.
Two hundred forty third
"Keep my finger on the trigger" Haha 2020 in a nutshell.
exactly lol
Definitely put your iso/ss/aperture labeled with your photos, I learn and am interested in seeing what settings you use for the specific shots you take. Thanks. I watch many photographers on UA-cam but I must say you are my favorite when it comes to your style and editing. So cinematic and film like. It’s amazing.
Can you make a “what’s in my camera bag” vid?
loving the new analysis and the super funny bits in throw in the middle 🤣👍
glad you enjoyed!
You probably dont give a damn but does any of you know a way to log back into an instagram account??
I was stupid forgot the login password. I love any help you can offer me
@Rey Salvador Instablaster =)
@Ian Jadiel I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now.
I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Ian Jadiel It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my ass :D
You're an inspiration with these POVs. I did POVs during my trip in Seoul, South Korea earlier this year but never had the energy to edit the clips. Only got into editing now because I keep watching your vids and I finally posted my first episode. Much love from the Philippines! 🙏
That's sick man! I'll go over and check it out
is it just me or do you sound exactly like tobey maguire's spiderman? XD
Yes you have been walking very fast today🤣great shots 💖💖
I love how seeing photographers embracing the rust. Sometimes you have days where its a bit of a struggle. Especially if it's been a while. I haven't shot in probably a year now with everything going on. I'm afraid I'm gonna be starting at the beginning once i start again 😂
Same 😂

Street photography with smartphone camera POV :)
Hey man, just wanted to tell you, I throughly enjoyed this new format :) Keep at it man!! Thank you for being one of the Street Photographers on UA-cam that is always keeping it real
thanks so much for your support!
at 2:20 the guy leaning on the pole wouldve been a sick shot
love this format bro!
Thanks! We'll keep it going then
If you don’t mind me asking, what find to you use for your text in these videos?
Great video Faizal! I agree with trying to find the right format for your audience but i think you nailed it. I started a channel just for fun a couple months ago and its hard to find the right fit. Keep up the great work.
Thank you for your support and feedback! I think this format is here to stay
Awesome shots! Would be interesting to see your edit workflow with your analog presets! Btw are they compatible with the x100t sensor?
I can do that! They're made for fujifilm raw files since it uses the "classic chrome" color profile in lightroom so I think it should work with the X100T! Let me know if you have trouble though
This may be one of your best videos. Keep on doing this kind of content, amazing pics and also great comments. Cheers from Argentina.
New York is such a beautiful city!! And this camera is great 🤙🏽 definitely gonna keep an eye out for it
13:33 i like how she puts her hand in he's pocket
Loved hearing your commentary and the thinking you put into your photographs!
Which one of preset you use on shot of preview to this video?
MINT
Love the videos 🤘🏼 I’m a new subscriber.. Just a quick question. Are you ok taking pictures of people and making money off them? I’ve done some street photography but never had the confidence to take pictures of people..
No reason to apologize - was good video. Im pretty sure it get better in the future.
I miss New York so much. And hope I can visit it again when this pandemic is over (or almost over). And it was nix to take a walk with you in this video.
My favorite photo is with the billboard Love is the answer.
.....Greetz from 🇩🇪
oh yuh new faizal upload
what's the deal youtube? why didnt you suggest this channel before. 😒brilliant work mate. love the commentary.
mannn you really like silver fuji versions. Can you tell me how's your silver x100v holding up with scratches and dents? I really want one too sooo neattt!
Hey man, just starting off and I love your channel👌🏽
Just got a Sony a7iii and I noticed you have one. Any tips or websites where I can find a good lens on a budget 😅
Re: the image of the couple with the masks pulled down. The crushed milk box is also the same color and shape of the dude’s mask creating even more parallels between that billboard and the couple in the foreground. Yeah, really cool shot.
Did you use the same settings the whole time? Or do you tend to change settings while to your out? Great videos btw.
Awesome! The photo with the curious eyebrow killed me haha! And the last shot with the kids and the steam is wonderful! Good job!
I really enjoyed this new commentary format. It’s cool to hear your thoughts on that photo of all of those elements coming together was excellent 👌
I feel like detailed analysis while shooting is distracting. That isn’t to be confused with narrating, or doing a voice over. Great stuff!
You are so good bro.. Crazy shots..
What are your settings plzzz? And what lens you're using?
These last days I've went through a lot of street photography channels. You're on the top 3 ! Great eye, no overtalk, nothing but cool (or great) photos !
Keep it up mate !
love the pictures😍😍😍☺️ what film simulation your using???
If I were you, I'll work with the eagle sign. Trying to make the photos look like the eagle is catching the pedestrians as preys.
Today is my best day,cuz I dont fell shy when I do street photographyyy,yeaaay...
Peace
Would you recommend to get a Fuji x100v when I have a Nikon Z6?
Explaining your thoughts as you go along looking for photos is just a great way to grow as a photographer... We are really all learning together...
Faizal, i've been keeping this question for a long time, when you do street photography, did you got caught be people? Cuz it seems very sus😂
All the time! lol. It's all about understanding the situation and being kind to who you're photographing and you'll be okay
Hi man! Thanks so much for you videos. May I ask what video camera you use while going around?
hello i like your shot at 13:30 anyway i feel the empty space on the left of the picture is sort of disturbing to me. Did you think to reframe it a little? maybe in square?
@12:38 - I wasn't expecting any BTS/BT21 content on this channel lol
Just curious on what you are using for AF. Single dot in the middle or what?
the eagle shape at 10:00, you missed it, it could be nice juxtaposition frame
I wear glasses as well. It is difficult to have the mask over your nose because it fogs up the glasses.
Love it dude 🙌 makes me miss travelling to the city. I've not been out with the cam in awhile 😏
Hi Faizal,
Can i use your presets on Lightroom mobile?
I love this version of your povs!♥️ keep it up my friend 🖤
thanks for the love!
You should take a lot of horizontal shots, I would try some verticals.
How do u mount the camera thats filming the video??and which camera is it?
Interesting shots because you didn’t appear that close but in the pics it’s a little close.
Hey man! Great video! Which strap and thumb rest do you use?
Really enjoyed these! Stoked I came across the channel. Subbed for sure.
what neck strap are you using in this video? I love how low profile it is
which thumbs grip r u using???
Its from hoage. I got it on Amazon
What type of focus do you use?
i want to know this also, great job nailing focus when the photos are taken so quickly
at 7:28 would have been a dope shot of those two people with matching outfits
Smartly done. Great video. Thanks.
I'm sorry but I don't like the change of the voice over. The music and the POV was a hypnotic mix, very serene. I think the voiceover very much takes away from that effect.
I figured some would feel that way, that's why I'll try to find a balance between the different styles for the future
I agree, your videos are relaxing. Keep it up.👍
you remind me of Toby Maguire's spider man
Time Square by night is great also.
This was awesome! I learnt so much from your thought process. Thank you
Glad you liked the new format!
Most people are looking at their phone...sad!
Portra 800 is just a wonderful film by Kodak... I've used it in the past for weddings and portraits... I can't recommend it enough...
Video is super dope. Subbed and just joined the discord!
Couple photo at @12:49 is killer. Good work.
also, steam thing = smoke stack :)
I really love the idea of commenting on your video and analyzing your pictures. If I can just give a small advice that I think would be very engaging for the audience, I’d recommend expanding on your ideas and vision about certain pictures. For example, at some point you stated that pictures of hands are good indicators of who a person is. I thought that was a very fascinating idea but would have liked to know a bit more on why you thought that, or how you arrive at this conclusion. Other than that, your video is great, keep creating, I love it!
Fascinating walk-through in Times Square, and interesting shots of people. I like the lady coming from the Subway and the couple where the gentleman has his eyebrow raised. Thanks for your analysis. Do you use zone focusing on any of your photos? It's incredible what you are coming up with in your photos using the X100V.
This is the content we need. Goood stuff bro.
Thanks for the love!
What neckstrap are you using for the x100v? I don’t think I see the exact one in your gear list. Thanks!! Great photos btw 😁
great photo editing, did you use your presets?
Geez, so I guess the longer you shoot the faster your walk gets too. Hopefully one day I'll get there. Awesome video as always! Love the commentary!
Hey, how does it work in the States with the rights to show someone's face? Is it fully legal? Just curious, cause in Europe I think it can be problematic.
Hi there ! Just to let you know that I'm from France and I juste loveeeee to watch all of your videos ! :) Would you think it be possible for you to make a street photography video again with your x100f and try to comment how do you feel about it (about the differences with the 100v...)
Really enjoyed this, thanks!
thank you, helpful and great quality. Man you are the best advertiser for the X100V ;)
Take care and cheers from Luxembourg
Haha, if someone wants to send me more cameras to use....lol appreciate the love!
Hey, if you don't mind sharing, who are your inspirations for street photography, and I mean not only the old timers, but also contemporary artists. :)
damn so cool doing street photography in there
i'm so boring doing street photography in my home town Bandung, Indonesia, it's so different in there, tone color, peoples, architecture, weather, evertyhing is so different. I hope i can go there someday :)
Nice photos, have you tried the film recipes from fujixweekly? His portra recipes look really good.
Were you shooting Raw or Jpeg?
I have been watching and studying your videos for sometime now and I just want to thank you.
Studying street photography fulltime and moving to a city called Brisbane City here in Australia.
Thank you and keep up the great work Bless x
So many beautiful color photos Faizal. NYC is really a heaven for street photography 💯
What lens re you using in this video ?
What I like about these types of videos is that I usually think about what photos I would get if I were faizal, because I always see other scenes that I would take photos of.
どこで撮っても絵になるやろ
テキサスでやれいったことないけども
You should contact insta360 to test out the x2. Pretty sure you’ll let you test it out.
I'm still trying to get that gopro sponsorship 😞🤦♂️
@@FaizalWestcott why chase one brand when you can have multiple options. They have a gopro style rig also.
What camera are u using to capture the POV
your vids give me peace. luv u!!
Your sense of humor brings joy to my soul
Nice colors! Could you make a video on how you edit your digital pictures to look like film? That would be really appreciated. Cheers!
I think you did a great job at explaining, What your thoughts were behind your photos
Heck that 13:34 photo is nice as!! So many layers. That technique also sounds cool - raising up the camera in preparation. Kudos to you, you sound so chill and not scared of people at all, I need to learn that for street photography! Loved the video :)
First video of yours I’ve seen, but loved it. Hearing your thought process and knowing what you were wanting to achieve was super helpful. Have a new subscriber
Love this new format, excited to see more like it!
thank you! more to come!
Omg I love that shot of the old couple so much to say about it! I'm currently studying photography A level and these shots really inspired me because I never considered trying street photography but maybe I will now.
the eyebrow shot, and the one of the little girl, were they shot in continuous mode? or were you pressing the AE button in single point mode?
I simply loved the voice over, your thoughts about the shots, amazing work, Faizal!!
