Diligent mum! Love it, Dad is curious and playful but clueless as to his own strength. 😂. I could watch these all day. Pull up a deck chair and blankey and a flask!😂.
Me too, I had to be pulled away and reminded I came for the Gorillas, but the gorillas were hardly visible and stayed at the back. So I kept going back to this great little family.
The mother on the verge of a "For f***s sake, you're just like your father" moment...😂 Love this family so much! Baby clearly adores Dad and they're the same mental age apparently- ironic then that baby gets a dipping because of mum 😁❤
They really are an amazing and photogenic family, but dad is just a bit too rough. Thank goodness mom is there to keep an eye on things!! Thank you SV❤
For the record, only adult female Gibbons are blonde. At birth, male and females are blonde. Both males and females coats turn brown during the aging period BUT the females coats turn back to the golden blonde we see on the FEMALE in this video. Mothers are usually very protective of their young but dads are also warm, loving, kind and protective as well. I can only guess the reason mom is being rough with the young one is she's trying to wean the baby ( seems a little young for that to me), or she's just playing a little rough, which is very unusual for that species. I'm not an expert on the matter but I do love primates of all kinds and I learned about the transformation of the Gibbon's fur by watching many videos. I still enjoyed watching and I'm not trying to pick a fight. I'm just trying to enlighten. Peace and love to everyone and Happy New Year! 💜
@leliawinfield8278 Thanks for your comment and for sharing your thoughts! Just to clarify, for lar gibbons, females can have either golden/blonde or brown coats, so coat colour isn’t an exclusive indicator of sex. The mum in this video is the brown gibbon, and her little one is suckling from her, which makes her role as mum quite clear. Coat colour variations can differ across gibbon species, which might be where some confusion arises. I really appreciate your interest in the video -Happy New Year to you too!😊
Hi Slogger! Thank you for your response and I double checked the literature before replying back to you and it seems as far as the Lar Gibbons are concerned, you are correct! Thank you for educating me on this beautiful species! 💜
Yes, it is quite scary. You’d hope they are careful, but accidents can happen. The gibbons at Twycross are also on an island and have experienced a death in the water before. It always makes me wonder whenever I see gibbon islands
I had another search for their names and found something. I updated all the descriptions too. Mum is called Kaya and is Chile. Unfortunately I was unable to find the babies name. Maybe they haven't named him yet.
From what I understand the blond gibbon is the female and mother of the infant, the dark gibons the male, gibons go through a color change from being born to adolescence.
It's different with lar gibbons. The brown one is mum. The little one was suckling from brown mum in the last video :-). I always get confused with gibbons as well 😊
@@SloggerVlogger Yeah with these ones you can clearly see the elongated nipples on the brown mother, and there was even a moment where the blonde father was positioned in a way that exposed his "business" as he was playing with baby.
Baby's loving the rough housing! What sweet parents❤❤❤

They're so funny with their oversized hands 😂

This video brings such joy to my heart ❤️

Such a good mom protecting her baby so well. Dad was just a little too heavy handed with his playing lol.
Good thing Mama pays attention to what the Daddy is doing. Beautiful animals! ❤
I love watching them! They are just so cute and even funny. Love the babies and how their moms carry them. 🥰❤️❤️
Interesting how Dad obeys Mum whenever she checks him on his rough play. Such a good family!
Loved how Mom put her hand on Dad’s head like he was doing to the baby. It was like she was saying, “how do you like it when I do it to you?”🤣♥️♥️♥️
Gibbons are my second favourite primate after gorillas. They are hilarious, they are so funny when they play with orangutans..🩵
Touched you last! 😂
🤣🤣🙊
this is the best gibbon vid i’ve seen in a long time. i’m in love 🥰
Wow, thank you!
Omg the baby looks so funny with his arms and legs twice the size of his body 😂❤
Pequeños perfectos ❤
They are so awesome! ❤
I have never seen a gibbon that small. Dad mustn’t be used to playing with babies 😂
It does looks like parenthood is all new for them.
Tiny faces but so expressive.
Such a serious expression 😆
Love it love it love it
You can almost read their minds. 🤣
Ben je een beetje depri? Kijk deze filmpjes voor een goed humeur. Bedankt SV!
Amazing, amazing, amazing creatures. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Quite the fangs on Dad
Their hands are so big it’s almost like they don’t know what to do with them.
For gods sake Sam, stop it! You’re gonna hurt him!
But mommy, I want to pway wid daddy!
❤❤❤❤❤
Dad better watch out, Mom will get him.

I think in the world of Gibbons the female is dominant so Dad better behave.
