Great video. This tent is a blast to setup if your into working with your surroundings. Yes you can rig it with poles if you were committed to it. I'm not sure if it's worth the extra time to make that happen vs getting a free standing tent and putting a stove jack in it.
The wood stove is the wild wild west stove and it has a spark arrestor at the bottom of the pipe. I think it will be better once I'm using regular wood instead of the pallet wood and I especially won't be using the fat wood to start it again. My first night had no holes at all so I've gotta just use regular wood.
Part of the reason the roof angle was shallow is because he had the tent pitched quite a bit too low and wide. Raising the tent several inches and then bringing the sides just a bit closer together will make the roof section quite a bit steeper. Not sure if it would be steep enough for snow or not, though I intend to find out :)
Haha yeah. Sometimes it's all about the day hike and car camping spot. Nice thing about cold weather....don't need to go far for a quiet camp spot. Summer on the other hand is worth hiking to get away for sure.
@@AbundantAdventures LOL. I don't blame you either way. Sometimes it's nice for some video. If it gets a few people out into the woods, then you've done a good deed.
@@northeastwildernesswalker Well, in that particular case I learned not to use fat wood in those stoves, or if you do to only use shavings and not full sticks. But in general, those stoves will get that hot no matter what you do unless you don't want heat. The stainless steal stoves do a better but those lightweight titanium stoves just heat up super fast and get red hot and then cool off real quick as well.
I stand with Lonewolf 902. OneTigris screwed him. I only ever purchased only one OneTigris product which was the 15° bag. I woke up looking like I was flogged by ducks with feathers sticking all over my clothes. Guess that's what I get for a Chinese company. Good thing the tent was pitched tight with no wrinkles. That company is garbage. They screwed my buddy around on that design and he told them to basically get lost and they kept the design. That's why you have a long panel replaced beside their logo. They had to take my buddies logo off it and that's the only way they could do it. Lots of leak points.
What kind of idiot doesn't have a spark arrestor on his stove pipe. Those holes in the tent are your own fault don't blame the manufacturer. You're lucky you didn't start a forest fire.

@@AbundantAdventures brand new, just lettin my favorite makers know if they didnt....
@@AbundantAdventures and amazing
After the first 7 minutes of showing the hot tent off, it's at minute 17 where the overview is.
What hammock was that?
The banyan made by Dutch.
Need a good spark arrester , those holes would piss me off
The wood stove is the wild wild west stove and it has a spark arrestor at the bottom of the pipe.
I think it will be better once I'm using regular wood instead of the pallet wood and I especially won't be using the fat wood to start it again. My first night had no holes at all so I've gotta just use regular wood.
I wonder how that thing would hold up in heavy snow and high winds; looks flimsy to me. And the roof angle is not steep; I bet snow would pool on it.
Yeah, I think you'd have to hit the sides to shake the snow loose every once in awhile if it was a heavy snow fall.
Hikes for "miles" and ends up 50 yards from his truck. 😉
You need to use all 3 tie outs on that chimney..
I added those tie outs. Normally it doesn't have any. I found using 2 was sufficient for the conditions I was in.
amazon has it just a few days shipping
Yeah, no more issues with availability. I got it when it first was released.
T shaped ground stakes.
I'll bet those hold quite well.
Buddy that stove pipe was pretty hot
Yeah, just a little lol.
@@AbundantAdventures what did you end up doing to prevent that from happening again?
@@northeastwildernesswalker Well, in that particular case I learned not to use fat wood in those stoves, or if you do to only use shavings and not full sticks.
But in general, those stoves will get that hot no matter what you do unless you don't want heat. The stainless steal stoves do a better but those lightweight titanium stoves just heat up super fast and get red hot and then cool off real quick as well.
Your trying to look like joe satriani doesn’t you? 😂 if not look it up man he a good guitarist
🤣 looked him up, and gotta say there is some resemblance when I wear my sunglasses. Haha
@@AbundantAdventures hahaha for sure 😎
Need a spark arrestor...
One that works. That setup had one at the bottom of the pipe. It doesn't work very well.
I stand with Lonewolf 902. OneTigris screwed him. I only ever purchased only one OneTigris product which was the 15° bag. I woke up looking like I was flogged by ducks with feathers sticking all over my clothes. Guess that's what I get for a Chinese company. Ended up going with the Klymit 0° Antero which is by far a more superior product.
Yeah, I had ordered it when lonewolf showed it on his channel the first time. It wasn't long after that he had problems with them.
What kind of idiot doesn't have a spark arrestor on his stove pipe. Those holes in the tent are your own fault don't blame the manufacturer. You're lucky you didn't start a forest fire.
fool
Awesome! I have a ridgerunner. bridge hammocks have spoiled me
They tend to have that effect on folks 😆
