I liked smoking because of the nicotine that is all. I always quit because of the STINK. That shiate stinks Its stink your car, your breath, your clothing. Vaping is nicer and more polite
- As a 50yo smoker who started at 28yo, I do not recommend it. You think you'll take the consequences with it, but you have no idea. It will screw you over beyond anything you can even imagine. You're still young and your lungs can handle it for now. Until one day, you find yourself out of breath so much that you can barely get through your day. By that time, your teeth will be suffering, your looks will have degraded considerably, your arteries will be suffering, your eyes will degrade. It affects everything in your body. Even your brain will have changed, so that by then you probably can't quit to save your life (like me). You might need medications by then that could make you fat or other side-effects. Maybe you'll even have had operations to fix the consequences. All these things, horrible as they are, won't make it any easier to quit. You'll realize that if only you hadn't made the worst decision of your life by taking up smoking, your life would have turned out completely different. Even if you succeed in quitting then, you'll have a terrible toll on your health to bear, on top of craving the cigs. You'll probably end up with a smoking husband/boyfriend, if not alone and sick. You'll have spent a lot of money on cigs, that would otherwise have gone to productive activities to steer your life in a better direction. You might find that by smoking, you have been ignoring to fix emotional issues that are probably at the root of why you smoke. But you're 20 years down the line now, and in so much worse shape, you're not going to fix that emotional issue anymore as you'll be too busy dealing with the consequences of smoking (which you never even saw coming). - I wish for your own good that you could realize that now, instead of when it's too late. It's very irresponsible also to justify it on a UA-cam channel, possibly taking others down this rabbithole with you. Smoking doesn't bring any benefits to your life, but it comes with a whole lot of problems. The little buzz or relaxing you get from smoking, you should find some other way to accomplish, like doing some sports or something. It will make all the difference 20 years from now!
That's really love that he doesn't want to let you smoke. No smoker likes to hear that they have to stop, even if we know what damage it is doing. That's the addiction. I don't even think I'll make it another 10 years in life. And in that time, I can expect some more surgeries. And still I haven't quit smoking. It's hard. But it's important. It should be my top priority to put all my (little) energy in. But life and other worries get in the way. Smoking is an emotional thing. A crutch to avoid dealing with certain issues I don't know how to fix. Knowing that I should quit is not the problem for me anymore, I am aware of that for a long time now. But actually doing it is difficult. I don't judge people for smoking, since I'm a smoker myself. But it is important to let other smokers know our regrets, especially the younger ones who still have a chance. Never justify smoking in any way. They don't want to hear it. But love is telling the truth, even if it's not what someone wants to hear. @@caniseeyourinsides
@@valleykenRead the book The Easy Way to Quit Smoking, by Alan Carr. Believe me, no matter how addicted and desperate you are, the book will strongly urge you to quit smoking. Read and most importantly, follow the steps and do not postpone quitting.
I've never felt the allure of smoking cigarettes, I've tried them but haven't cared for it. My dad started smoking in his early 20's and quit when he was around 26-27. I'm not sure how he started, but I've always remembered the story of how he quit. At around 3 AM in the morning, him and a friend were walking home, casually talking and smoking (His friend didn't smoke). The idea of quitting cigarettes was brought up, and my dad explained to his friend that he's going to quit soon, after he finishes this pack, so likely in a few days or so. His friend said to him "Why don't you just quit now?" My dad thought about it for a few seconds, took the cigarette out of his mouth and threw it and the mostly-full pack on the ground, and kept walking, He never smoked again after that. It's a simple story, but I've just always admired it because of how direct the decision was made. You hear all the time about people struggling to quit addictions and relapsing, or people planning to change at some arbitrary point in the future, setting new years resolutions etc. I think about his story a lot, and feel like that attitude can apply to a lot of things in life. The main point I take from it is; don't wait for the perfect opportunity to do what you want to do.
i never smoked like i was addicted. One pack could last me 3 months, even more. It didnt last long, maybe like 2 years that i was smoking here and there. but man, sometimes i just wanna sit on my balcony on a warm summer night and just have one cigarette. p.s. the first cigarette i smoked was Marlboro Menthol.
Eu tb.
You have just demonstrated new smoker to addict in a few minutes. I started smoking in 1980 aged 13. I quit in 2016 aged 48 due to COPD. Connie; you need to quit right now.
Good for you! I can't imagine trying to quit something when getting hooked that young. Seen some of my friends start around that age too sadly and I hope they can find some way to kick it like you did.
@@fufu1405That is truth, not impossible people done it. Tho you need to be strong character to quit addiction of any kind especially if you let it seep in that deep.
there is such a huge difference between people who chain smoke everyday vs people who have the occasional smoke and no one seems to want to talk about or recognize that... i suppose the majority of people progress along that line and ultimately become chain smokers.. but theyre the people you see smoking every hour... you dont notice the people who have a smoke once a week or once a month because really by todays standards theyre not smokers but like anything they can be enjoyed in moderation
I personally feel every smoker has had that one person that made them curious, a role model someone they look up too. A (grand)parent a teacher, a coach on a soccer team, an uncle, a neighbour who made it look like it felt so good, seeing the smoke shoot up a woman's nostrils when the French inhale. The time a saw a neighboor do a ghost inhale. The look of pure bliss. How can a thing that stinks so much give them so much pleasure. And born in 70's at some level people all ready knew it wasn't the most healthy thing to do. But it was a smokers inviroment, it was excepted. Like drinking still is. To the point you had to explain why you never smoked like people now question a person who doesnt drink alcohol. Back then at a birthday party as a host you would buy cigarettes brands you knew your guests would be smoking. And as a kid you would play in the mist of smoke aunts and uncles where creating. When a person announced people werent allowed to smoke in their home when visiting they stop coming. Going outside wasn't even an option. When you go to bar the smoke was so thick your clothes would stink for days. But you also didnt smell anything else which i find was in someways a good thing now you can smell the guy with sweating armpits a cross the room. I still enjoy watching a woman smoke a sigaret if she fully enjoys it. And still smoke myself. Only in private, not to bother or influence any kid/person by incident. And if hiding my smoking is a skill, i am very good at it. Over 40 years old never been caught. Not even believed when i told people i smoke. It never got to the point that the handed me a sigaret and asked me to smoke it. If it where a woman to ask me i would have done it no doubt. I am smoking now for 35 year's never exceeded half a pack a day. most of the time it half of that amount. But i do smoke and i dont think i am able to totally quit.
Its worth trying to quit, you get alot of time back. 10 sigs a day * ~ 5 minutes is almost an hour you loose every day in which you could do something else. I smoked for 18 years and im smoke free since March 2022. Its never to late.
Personally I find that kind of strange as a cigarette smoker but you do you if u were my friend I’d definitely be happy about it but also save ur money Man U don’t need to do that especially since it’s less of a kind act and more of an enabling thing. Maybe carry around a lighter instead cos lighters have more than one use and can be handy in situations outside of drugs
@@moonpriest8016 Legitimately, I was the non smoker who carried around a lighter. I almost always rode my bike everywhere and you kinda need a lighter to help patch a popped tire, (fire helps fuse the patch and tire together) and I also hung out around the smokers on campus so I could help anyone who needed a light. Personally, I'd rather vape tho. The smell of cigs has always bugged me and I've been around it my whole life. Vaping is so much cleaner. If I'm actually gonna smoke something, I'd rather smoke weed over tobacco.
I smoked for 17 years, it was brutally difficult to quit. Took me 4 years and 20 attempts, and it was extremely uncomfortable, both physically and especially mentally. I'm not the one to moralize, do what you want to do, but I would urge you from the bottom of my heart to consider quitting while you can. The "one cigarette a day" habit doesn't last. It becomes two, three, four, pack a day, two packs a day, and at that point it's harder to quit smoking than it would be to quit heroin or alcohol. Nicotine is insidious and one of the worst substances I've ever quit.
So random but I remember an interview where someone visited the Philip morris headquarters and one of the CEO’s apparently smokes 1 cigarette a day, but says they won’t touch Oreos because of how addictive sugar/fat can be (I think they own Oreo’s parent company and other fast food chains, etc)
The nonsmokers or social smokers who carry around a pack are the sweetest ppl honestly, I always admire ppl like that . btw I really like how post videos where you smoke & talk, because a lot of your viewers are solitary cig smokers who probably at one time experienced every smoke break as a chance for camaraderie & made friends that way but now have no one to smoke with.
Social pressure can be hard to ignore. Once you get hooked, you will likely not stop. I've lost 4 family members to it, one as young as 28. Although dying to smoking is genetic, don't risk your life on it. For less anxiety go to the gym, follow your passion, eat right, and plan everything out and I promise you will feel amazing.❤
I agree with ya but it can be really hard so first lets consider going to a therapist than starting to smoke. Might not really have enough money to go to a therapist, but enough money to buy a pack of cigarettes... these people need SERIOUS help
@@merokittentried everything and i was miserable, started smoking and sometimes snus and life is going good im feeling good ive made alot of connections and im enjoying life, really helped me and has helped others
I remember playing videos games with my neighbor in their living room as the mom sat next to us smoking and this went on for years. While I always found smoking disgusting, I also had this craving for a cigarette. I still have never smoked and never will but I realize now it's probably an addiction from second hand smoke and I'm sure if I start I probably couldn't stop which is even more motivation to never start. I really hope you stop because it's so bad for your health and you're obviously such a nice, intelligent, and beautiful person.
Been an RN for several years now, I've seen how things end for smokers. Its not fun or glorious. Highly recommend you do everything you can to stop while you're still young. Life seems infinite until its not.
Smoked from 18 to 28. Worst decision ever. I am 7 years off them and I still want to smoke. They will change your life forever and not for the best. Avoid smoking at all cost 'cause quitting is insanely hard.
I'm an ex smoker, it's been just about 10 years since I smoked a cigarette. I used to smoke half a pack a day, but would smoke more than one pack if I was hanging out with friends. Then they started making me feel sick and I noticed I felt better when I didn't smoke. Eventually I let it go. I went on vacation for a week without my ciggies and when I came back, I no longer needed it. But I still have the very last cigarette from the last pack I smoked 10 years ago! But I cherish my old smokey days. When I first started, I would ask my uncle for a ciggie because he was a smoker. I remember the first ciggie I smoked made me ultra dizzy and nauseas. But the next day, I wanted more and that's how it started. I'm glad I quit though, even the gas station clerks were telling me I shouldn't smoke. My teachers told me I shouldn't smoke too, so I knew at some point I had to quit.
I wish weed was held to the same standards as cigarettes tbh. I really don't want to try smoking cigarettes, but I'm always jealous of the cig smokers bc they can smoke pretty much anywhere
Every single person i know above 50 is strongly against smoking and advice to never start it even them being smokers themselves. My gf's grandpa lost his leg due to smoking. I don't think anyone should do it tbh. There are other ways to calm and find peace and relaxation that are less harmful for someones health.
that's because back in the day people smoked insane amounts of cigarettes. Also it's because you only hear about people who didn't quit. You don't hear about people who smoked one cigarette a day for 5 years then quit. They are totally healthy. You only hear about people who smoke 2 packs a day for 40 years.
It's so boring tho I'll be running thru nic gum regular gum and breath mints all day if I try to quit I'll be moving all funny but I move funny anyways
i had my first cigarette when i was at a carneval with a friend (i was so in love with her btw😭) we were already drunk when we went to buy a pack. then we met her classmate and we decided to smoke a ciggy together. i was so silly i tried acting like ive smoked many times before but i didn’t even know how to inhale properly😭 around a month after that i went on a holiday with people who ive never actually met before. i was so anxious at first but then at that night we went down to the beach and talked for a while. they gave me some hits from their vape and we just had such a fun time. after the holiday we became really close so we met again. one of them bought a pack and she gave each of us a cigarette. i don’t remember very well but because i didn’t feel any buzz i think i still didn’t inhale. around a week after that i decided to buy my own pack which was a winston blue. i was taking a walk in the park and thats when i learned how to inhale. the buzz was so awsome i had to sit down for a sec ahah. i had the same experience as Connie. my thoughts just flew away and i felt so mindful all of a sudden. since that i’ve been smoking one ciggy everyday. sometimes at night sometimes in the morning. whenever i feel like i want to clean my head for a while. i know very well it’s not a healthy thing to do and is in fact an addiction but it just feels so nice to calm down my anxious mind every now and then. also for anyone who read this have an amazing day
It won't stay at 1 a day. I bet even now you are having 2 on some days a month on from your comment. I guess you're young and won't take any advice from a stranger on the Internet. On the off chance, nicotine is extremely addictive to 90-odd percent of people. You won't feel the damage to your lungs for 2 years or more by which time you will find it unbelievably hard to quit. You probably never will from that point and if you do you will miss it for the rest of your life. You will start coughing and retching until you feel sick, or actually vomit on cold mornings. Your breath will stink to nonsmokers. I used to have 3-4 colds a year which always turned chesty and often needed antibiotics for opportunistic infections. Now I'm addicted to nicotine gum. Nobody can force you not to smoke. You have to decide now, while you still have a choice, whether to learn from my and others mistake or be a dumb idiot like I was.
in Europe is very common in my country for example and from my experience in high school although it was a long time ago at least 50% of 15-17 year old kids smoke
I’d say it’s fairly popular, younger people are quickly picking up the habit and it’s not uncommon to go outside and see a fair amount of people smoking as opposed to the US
I think we all started like this, one every other week, then we think we can smoke one cigarrete per day, and soon enough you're gonna be smoking a whole pack a day, i started at 16yo, now i'm 25 and i smoke 1 and a half pack everyday, that calm you feel at the begining will be no longer the same after a couple years, in fact, the anxiety can and will get worst, since you'll need to smoke every 15 minutes, and when u can't smoke, you'll feel like you are in hell, the abstinence is not as bad as other drugs, but it's still bad! I advice you to stop, since u can be 2 days without a cigarrete, it'll be easier for you
It was one a day for me at the start, "to keep it in control". I started at 19, I'm 21 now. Then it went to 2, then to 4, then to 10, then to 15. I quit a week ago because I didn't like how I was a slave to this habit and also I could feel my lungs getting more and more damaged by the day. If you ask me, if you're not trying to self "delete" (like I was, hence a desperate last attempt to distract myself from my bad thoughts, and I didn't plan to live anyways), ANY other reason to start is dumb af and easy to avoid. Go for a run, hang out with friends, do anything else. And make no mistake, once you're a smoker, you'll come up with so many excuses. By then the addiction is already talking, it's not you at the helm anymore.
the goal of eliminating thoughts is only a chase that leads to more chases. it's an illusion and is a state of mind that can not be sustainably achieved. take care
I, as a 45 year old smoker urge against smoking. Regret 25 years down the line is a helluva thing. With 'youth' you'll ride the crest of the wave until you hit your late thirties, early forties. Trust me i wish i could turn the clocks back.
i smoked my first cigarette a few days ago when i was on break with my coworkers (construction work) and since i was almost the only non smoker one of the guys offered me a cigarette, which i accepted. it was a Camel blue cigarette, i didnt cough at all and it felt pretty nice after a while. the smell isnt the nicest thing in the world but i understand why people do it.
What a fantastic video, love your content as always! And yeah, so many things happened and now you are our favourite smoking content creator on youtube! Life is amazing.
You gotta try Marlboro Southern Cut, one of my favorites, if not absolute. I do enjoy the Marboro double fusion/w-burst because I basically get 3 cig profiles in one toke, but it’s hard for me to acquire them. And I really enjoy menthols, but I live in California and menthol is banned here, so companies started using synthetic coolants and although I smoke Newport EXP 100s, I don’t get the hit I’m looking for. I vape as well and I love all sorts of flavors, that’s why I recommend southern cut because, it’s so good tasting, hints of chocolate and bourbon, and very smooth. Hope you try it, God bless you
when you said you try to "impress" her by saying yes to smoke a cigarette, i understand what you mean. back in 8th i have a friend that smokes and looking back for some reason i wanted them to think im "cool" so whenever they sneak out to smoke i would join just because. no one pressured me fyi just low-key wanted to try it 😭
11:23 you're always you. We go thru phases and our personalities change. I've always said that every 10 years you become a new person. It's not that the old you wasn't you, it's more that it was time for a change. And that is ok. That's what makes life good.
@@co_si_damebecause they don’t have the younger generation infected with the anti smoking culture lol. It's a feigned peace and that's the danger of it. It's a faustian deal that ends up stripping much from your life, not just the very literal years stripped from you, but the financial side of things (5 euros here in Portugal per pack, like 20 in some other country, the more you smoke the steeper the cut in your spendable income becomes)
I started coughing up really gross stuff and I really got tired of smelling like it. I quit once and it lasted 9 months but I went to a music festival and ended up smoking a bunch cigs because of the party favors I did all weekend. Then I quit again a year later because I had reached a point of being so grossed out by them that I couldn't take them anymore. And thank God it stuck. I can't explain it but somehow it was like a switch turned off and now they gross me out so so so much. I've never felt so negatively about cigs before and its a pretty great feeling knowing I'm never going back and it's been so much better for my life.
I have been smoking since I was 14 years old (I can't believe it myself), and now at 26, I have made the decision to quit. It's proving to be the toughest challenge I've faced. I have been able to go for months without beer, which is another favorite pastime of mine, but cigarettes have always been the hardest to give up. Perhaps it's because smoking has been my go-to activity whenever I find myself alone reading a book or after, even when I am waiting for someone it has been my companion or when I am stress. It's also been a constant companion when I'm with friends, and especially when I am drinking coffee (I know, it's a bit unusual). In general, smoking has always been my default habit. I used to love it and enjoy it, but now, at 26, I've started to feel that it has made my life less fulfilling. I have noticed that my breathing has become increasingly labored, and activities like working out and jogging have become tiresome. However, the two things that I am truly fed up with as a smoker are the persistent coughing and excessive mucus production every morning and night. As a result, I visited the doctor to complain about these issues, and his conclusion was what I already suspected - it was due to smoking. I grew tired of having to spit regularly and coughing every 2 to 3 minutes. After receiving a warning from the doctor, I made the firm decision to quit. It has only been a month, and it's still incredibly challenging, but I constantly remind myself of the coughing and mucus production whenever I feel the urge to smoke. Sharing this story with you is not meant to discourage you on your smoking journey; rather, I want to make you aware that smoking does not have a positive impact on the body in the long run. The changes I have noticed in just a month are quite significant. I have observed improvements in my skin, and I rarely breathe through my mouth while walking or when I am tired. Additionally, working out no longer holds me back as it used to (although I still struggle with laziness). My advice to you, as you enjoy your journey as a smoker, is to never overlook the effects smoking may have on your health and body. It's crucial to keep a check on yourself; you can't afford to be careless.
I smoke 1 cig with coffe in the morning 1 cig with tea in the evening and 1 cig with a cup of wine at night. Smoking only 3 cigs a day makes me enjoy each and every cig so much and it makes every cig worth much more money i pay for it. It is like a profitable investment when you earn much more value that what you pay. I remember when i used to smoke a pack a day. The only cig i ever enjoyed is the first cig in the morning
Im 17 and had my first cigarette about two years ago from peer pressure. I had been smoking them on and off and I decided to quit right before the summer of 2023 since I was a lifeguard and wanted healthy lungs. Since then I’ve only relapsed once but let me tell you these urges are really fucking hard to fight off sometimes but I know that mentality of “one more cigarette to relax” will lead me down a path where I won’t be able to see my grandkids grow up. I will do my best to stay strong and anyone else going through this may god be with you.
I started smoking because I was the last of six girls in my university dormitory to be smoking. I smoked for two weeks, took a seven year break then started again because I am stupid.
i try to find comments with the ladies photos posted...I feel they have a different perspective on such things. Did you finally stop? I call my self the failure....the allure is constant as i watch a lady light up. Your demeanor is very calm and enjoyable. I didn't know what kind of person you were in the story you told, but right now I think you're that calm and cool person that you had a crush on back then.
There is nothing better than starting the day in the morning with a coffee and a cigarette. After a hard gym session, I would smoke a cigarette. It's not like I'm addicted to it, I enjoy smoking and thinking about my plans. The best plans and projects were made in five minutes while smoking with my colleagues.
Not going to say don't start since you've already started. But I'll say it usually takes several attempts to quit even for those best at it. So you might want to consider practice that sooner than later. I've been smoke free for around 7 or 8 years now I think. I smoked "only" for around 15 years. Quitting isn't as hard as they say, the temptation wears off and then all you've gotta do is to not smoke that first cigarette ever again or get a dose of nicotine in any other form. Best of luck
Honestly what you have is a super power. Being able to keep it to mostly 1 cigarette a day is incredible. Just be careful if you start needing more cigarettes to ''relax.'' I used to use cigarettes to help with anxiety and stress. It wasn't until i quit that i realised it was the addiction that was causing the anxiety
Its honestly pretty weird to me that people still smoke. With how many options there are now with vaping. I'm always genuinely surprised when I see someone smoking lol. Its kinda rare these days
I was against smoking cigarettes until I actually got hooked into it. I haven’t smoked a cigarette in 2 years, and I miss it because of how relaxing it is.
Only on UA-cam could there exist this level of self-preoccupation. There's no "story" to it, kid; you just started smoking. Not exactly the Hero's journey. Not yet, anyway. This journey does eventually _become_ a story, though. So, good luck.
What’s interesting is that, despite being a smoker, you seem like such a wholesome person. Perhaps this is due to differences in smoking culture between here in the US and Portugal/Europe. Here in the US, smoking is largely a ‘Bad Boy’/‘Bad Girl’ thing. But from what you have said, it seems like smoking over there is more normalized among the general population.

I just feel like a non smoking-smoker when I quit. Depriving myself of smoking, but not 'over it'. People like me tend to relapse. Has anyone like me managed to quit and be 'over it'? And how long does it take to be over it after quitting?
@@abdullah-du4zo Went cold turkey. I have been despising habit itself for a long time. I did try to quit many times before, hardly lasted 1 month on one occasion. -Reducing smoking or taking nicotine supplements did not work for me. -I have been playing badminton everyday from last few months so that's kind of taking away the stress and giving me motivation. -Everytime I feel like smoking I spend that cigarette money on something else like food or some accessory. -Physical activity is probably the best alternative for quitting smoking. -Also try to actually sit and imagine the consequences, I mean really think hard about it. People will make excuses on how everyone will die at the end etc but your day to life also gets worse gradually. Now only trigger for me is when I get drunk. So far I have managed to not smoke on 3-4 occasions when I got drunk. I have a strong determination this time. But the risk is there all the time for relapse.
we live in 2023 and people still smoke cigarettes instead of vaping (not even mentioning that both are bad for your health) 7:40 In my opinion there are better things to not feel anxiety or just feel better at all, it's just training your brain, understand yourself and maybe even trying meditation...

My first one was in the parking lot of my work, my partner and I smoked in secret, it was funny and I didn't know how to inhale either hehe. I’ve noticed a lot of younger people smoking during the past few years, from legal stuff to wacky backy. Two questions that are for consideration are “Who’s your nominated legally qualified contracted trained carer when your health starts to deteriorate years ahead”? Don’t rely on unqualified family or friends giving up their time for you for your choices. Question 2 is “Do you smoke around babies and children”?
In my family it was always said: We dont want anyone to smoke, but if you are gonna do, atleast have the decency to go out so the kids dont get the 2nd hand smoke, and to this day everyone respects that rule
I smoked on new year 2024 for 3 days it got me and I smoked for a week more within 10days I can feel my body was getting dehydrated no matter how much water I take it won’t help and within 10days I just stopped smoking and my body was tempting and craving for cigarettes within just 10 days now when I stopped I was constantly feeling to smoke but I stopped but this shows within 10days it changed my mindset and trapped . Now I can understand those who are smoking for years and they will not be able to leave it I know it why.
Yea, I prefer to be conscious of the consequences so I don’t blame anyone but myself. It’s nice every so often tbh, I’ll usually have one once a week in between my lectures :)
Did this today right after my shift (11pm). Im 20yo M that’s been really wanting to try smoking. Went to the gas station bought a pack (18$) of the regular ones then drove to the park (by myself). I did get to smoke two of the pcs and was the very first time myself actually smoking cigarettes. I can’t really describe what ive felt but I ended up throwing the rest in the garbage. I thought of myself im not gon be one of those people then just drove home like I didnt waste any of my money…
The way you explained how your brain is always at 100 miles per hour 300 thoughts per minute is really similar to how ADHD brains feel, and untreated and undiagnosed ADHD (which is very common in girls) is quite prone to making people self medicate with whatever they find, speaking from experience Maybe you could look into ADHD symptoms ans see if you relate to them, and try to find some help or a diagnosis to get the right meds, which is really a life changer Unrelated but I recently found your channel and I love your videos, your voice really calms me down :)
Just started smoking at 22. One or two every day or other day. I enjoy the chill I get from it, vape doesn’t quite hit the same. Something about knowing it’s bad for me also makes it feel better.
You are very attractive. You will be 60 before you know it and smoking cigarettes is the quickest way to lose your beauty well before that. Please keep in mind the destructive nature of smoking cigarettes and the damage it will do to your appearance while you get older. It is the same path that many beauties in my past have taken. Now most are haggard old women who would do it differently if given the chance.
Connie, I think this perhaps the best video you've ever made...which is saying a lot because I find most of your videos to be "very good." Anyway, wanted you to know I ranked this video as GREAT. (For whatever that is worth...lol) Fascinating to learn that you admired another girl at the university so much...that you decided to copy some things she did.
Good old smoker giving the hard talk about it before lighting one up and looking cool. I haven't seen that type since 2004.
@@raftai665😂

@@m19AQTB This is the book that got me to quit. A truly eye opening book!
Be careful with the "one more cigarette" thats how the cycle begins
What's the issue , smoke for fun die with pain

there is such a huge difference between people who chain smoke everyday vs people who have the occasional smoke and no one seems to want to talk about or recognize that... i suppose the majority of people progress along that line and ultimately become chain smokers.. but theyre the people you see smoking every hour... you dont notice the people who have a smoke once a week or once a month because really by todays standards theyre not smokers but like anything they can be enjoyed in moderation

@@moonpriest8016
Legitimately, I was the non smoker who carried around a lighter.

The nonsmokers or social smokers who carry around a pack are the sweetest ppl honestly, I always admire ppl like that . btw I really like how post videos where you smoke & talk, because a lot of your viewers are solitary cig smokers who probably at one time experienced every smoke break as a chance for camaraderie & made friends that way but now have no one to smoke with.
no nonsmoker just carries around cigarettes. chances are they just hold them for a friend or are lying to you. most likely the latter.

How common is smoking cigarettes in Portugal? In America, it has lost a lot of popularity, and hearing that everyone smoked there really surprised me.
in Europe is very common in my country for example and from my experience in high school although it was a long time ago at least 50% of 15-17 year old kids smoke
I’d say it’s fairly popular, younger people are quickly picking up the habit and it’s not uncommon to go outside and see a fair amount of people smoking as opposed to the US
Idk about the young crowd but at least half of old PTs are daily chain smokers and wine/beer drinkers.
I advice you to stop, since u can be 2 days without a cigarrete, it'll be easier for you
another relaxing video❤ thanks connie
You telling stories is like so calm
Thanks, I fall asleep 5 min into the video, helped with my insomnia.
By then the addiction is already talking, it's not you at the helm anymore.
the goal of eliminating thoughts is only a chase that leads to more chases. it's an illusion and is a state of mind that can not be sustainably achieved. take care

If you want to be relaxed or at peace. You can meditate, I don’t understand people who think cigarettes is the only way to be at “peace”.
when you're addicted, it really is. and personally i find meditation very stressful.
@@GayLesbianAutisticSmithsFan It isn't at peace from your problems and worries though, it's at peace from the nagging need "give me a high give me a high give me a high, there's a schedule high right here in the timetable where is it???"
I started at 14 and quit at 25 myself. Good luck bud stick with it

@templeanhedonia The only physcial change was my skin started breaking out more
Loved this video your a great story teller
I really enjoy smoking while watching your videos it’s such a vibe 🎉
I started smoking because I was the last of six girls in my university dormitory to be smoking. I smoked for two weeks, took a seven year break then started again because I am stupid.
i try to find comments with the ladies photos posted...I feel they have a different perspective on such things. Did you finally stop? I call my self the failure....the allure is constant as i watch a lady light up. I actually started a diary of the brands i tried ... over 20 (being a non smoker) and hardly ever finished the first one let alone reach for a second! I concluded that I didn't have the receptor that cronic smokers seemed to have. (both parents smoked) and I found the smell to be disgusting. My neighbours (pack a day each) give me his clothes and they reek of tobacco. Vaping is a totally different story. male 65 from Canada.
@@forestlittke4649 I am divorced but I have a boyfriend. I have a thirteen year old daughter. She cried when she saw me smoking for the first time. I now smoke and vape. I am up to about a pack and a half a day. Almost nobody I know is still smoking. I am not a quitter Once I start something I see it through to the finish.
You are such a genuine sweet wiman connie love your videos
"like 0 thoughts in my mind - smoke covered my brain" deep
Your demeanor is very calm and enjoyable. I didn't know what kind of person you were in the story you told, but right now I think you're that calm and cool person that you had a crush on back then.
Hi Connie. Your videos has really grown on me, have a good weekend
Best of luck
i relate so much with your story and the vibe of the whole video is really chill luv ur vids
You'll be fine. It's all in the mind. If you tell you elf you'll be healthy than you'll be fine. When you say positive things those things will happen
What are you talking about😂
Honestly what you have is a super power. Being able to keep it to mostly 1 cigarette a day is incredible. Just be careful if you start needing more cigarettes to ''relax.'' I used to use cigarettes to help with anxiety and stress. It wasn't until i quit that i realised it was the addiction that was causing the anxiety
"why i decided to destroy my health" thats correct title
A couple cigarettes doesn't cause much harm
You say that but you probably consume fast food and use other harmful chemicals on your body
When was the last time you worked out then?

Ay what I know.. it's just soo chilling watching your videos today with story? Hell yeah!
tysm :))
its getting a routine watching your videos in the evening and smoking with you so chill and calm keep going
enjoy
Started at 14 (first tried at 12 though), and quit at 25. Haven't smoked since and I have zero desire for it. SO glad I stopped, its one of the best things I've ever done in my life
Its honestly pretty weird to me that people still smoke. With how many options there are now with vaping. I'm always genuinely surprised when I see someone smoking lol. Its kinda rare these days
I dunno, stopped smoking cigarettes because i figured out i‘m more the crack kinda guy 🤷🏻♂️
I started smoking at 6 and quit at 75, now still living life
I started smoking at 75 and quit at 6
Not inhaling the cig is a crime man 💀, that's like wasting the buzz.
I love how honest you are!
What’s interesting is that, despite being a smoker, you seem like such a wholesome person. Perhaps this is due to differences in smoking culture between here in the US and Portugal/Europe. Here in the US, smoking is largely a ‘Bad Boy’/‘Bad Girl’ thing. But from what you have said, it seems like smoking over there is more normalized among the general population.
interesting perspective! here all kinds of people smoke. I'd love to visit the US someday to see how the smoking culture is there!!
i dont believe that i think thats bullshit you are probably just too jung and thats why it seems cool and badboy for you it is kinda like kids and old people see tatoos just like think that just criminals cool people and badboys have
I just feel like a non smoking-smoker when I quit. Depriving myself of smoking, but not 'over it'.
People like me tend to relapse. Has anyone like me managed to quit and be 'over it'? And how long does it take to be over it after quitting?
Jacob is my go to when I want to chill.
i only mostly smoke at work, but also sometimes when im driving, just really good to do while having a conversation etc
also i really prefer cigarillos like alcapone flame cause i dont like the paper flavour
After 9 years of regular smoking I finally quit 2 months ago. I don't want to touch a cigarette ever again but God it's hard to resist when I'm drunk.
how did u quit ? i wanna quit vaping so bad but its really hard
Stop drinking too bro
Bro id say the drinking is worse
@@venomsnake-zb18Smoking is definitely worse than drinking but when it comes to vapes I can understand it being healthiter than drinks
Every smoker says "I don't wanna smoke" then somehow ends up smoking lmaooooo
Babe thinks it's cool until it isn't.
we live in 2023 and people still smoke cigarettes instead of vaping (not even mentioning that both are bad for your health)
7:40 In my opinion there are better things to not feel anxiety or just feel better at all, it's just training your brain, understand yourself and maybe even trying meditation...
Will you ever be giving up on cigarettes?
probably!
@@connieramos a year later, still going
I started smoking when I was 14
But I stopped because I didn't want problems with my parents
And I started smoking again at 17 before I turned 18 because i want to forget my life choices i made that brought me here. As of today, I smoke a pack a week, and I'm not planning on buying a pack every day
My first one was in the parking lot of my work, my partner and I smoked in secret, it was funny and I didn't know how to inhale either hehe. I like to smoke because I feel in control of the situation and it's my moment to take a step back and think about life without worrying about anything (I feel stylish too 😎). Your videos and Jacob's help a lot with this, we have a great community here
I have learned a lot of English here, your way of speaking helps 🙏
weed never had me addicted, i can go months without it and it always enhances those magical lonely moments where we just sit there and think and listen to some good music
YOU WANNA THROYGH HANDS, BEACUSE I OBSESSED WITH FIGHTING, I LOVE IT. I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE
I love how you said “let’s name her B” and just never called her that again 😂
JKASDHFKAHSDFJKH dont call me out HJAHSDF
You have great stories to tell. And i like listening to Connie because she's awesome ❤❤
I smoke a ciggarette every single hour and day.
It's nice that you're so conscious of smoking, and it's not an ignorant decision.
Females who smoked used to be called “Fag Ash Lill’. Call me a mamma bear, but no way do I want a smoker near my babies.
Yea, I prefer to be conscious of the consequences so I don’t blame anyone but myself. It’s nice every so often tbh, I’ll usually have one once a week in between my lectures :)
its exactly ignorant decision
@Billythek Smoking is more safe then experimental vaccines...
The way you explained how your brain is always at 100 miles per hour 300 thoughts per minute is really similar to how ADHD brains feel, and untreated and undiagnosed ADHD (which is very common in girls) is quite prone to making people self medicate with whatever they find, speaking from experience
Maybe you could look into ADHD symptoms ans see if you relate to them, and try to find some help or a diagnosis to get the right meds, which is really a life changer
Unrelated but I recently found your channel and I love your videos, your voice really calms me down :)
I agree with you, give her 5 years and she will look 20 years older!
Much love Connie 💞💞💞
Connie, I think this perhaps the best video you've ever made...which is saying a lot because I find most of your videos to be "very good." Anyway, wanted you to know I ranked this video as GREAT. (For whatever that is worth...lol) Fascinating to learn that you admired another girl at the university so much...that you decided to copy some things she did. THEN, I loved how you described your first buzz when sometime much later you inhaled! WOW! Thank you for re-sharing that story with us.
Everyone in balkan smokes since 13 years old, not because of anything. Just cause its cool/or brothers/family smoke as well
