Question: if I don’t have anything to backup say, my pictures, etc, and then I install my windows 10, will I lose all those pictures in the new install?

I have an old ass build of a computer from like 2013, but the last times I tried updating to Windows 10, it would get stuck on the black screen with spinning dots/spinning wheel. If that part takes over 5-8 hours, is that related to drivers/bios or does it really take that long? Would like to know because I spent a lot of money on this PC and trying to get it to Windows 10 instead of having to build a brand new one or buy brand new parts.

Okay this all looks lovely and great but can I do this without the 4 terabytes product, in other words can I just do this whole thing and NOT back up my files? Its on a computer from like 2 college classes so I'm not attached to my data. I honestly just need Windows ten for the new Autocad, Steam and banking apps
After disabling windows firewall, I was able to download and make progress. Now I must remove Trend Micro security software to complete the installation. Unfortunately, I don't remember the password or email address. the last resort is to find the Trend Micro key to make some progress. Not sure where to find the key.
There was some audio sync issues with your video in the middle, but the beginning and end was fine.
Sorry i have 2 questions about this process
1) Do you really NEED to use portable storage to back up because your computer can do it by themselves
2) Does Windows 10 make a laptop considerably faster?

I have done all the things as you have told,
But it stucks at 86%, I haven't done anything to my laptop.
I just leaved it after the upgrade starts and a hour later I checked it, it showed 86%
After 3 hours later it is still showing 86%.
Please suggest me what I have to do now?

HELLOOOO PLEASE I'M IN DESPERATE NEED FOR HELP! so I tried to update my computer from win7 to win10 and it all went well until it tried to restart. the computer is now stuck on the boot screen (nothing but a black background with the windows 10 logo, nothing is loading) and nothing is happening. it's been like that for two hours, and I am at loss.
