Am ten and i have sonic adventure and adventure 2 i have generations classic games fighters unleashed forces frontiers and colors both versions sonic advance games and a whole room YES A ROOM full of sonic toys of jazware to jakks toy island and a bit of bootlegs my mom thought was real even though they look like garbage atleast they had super shadow and sonic with... RINGS ON HIS WRIST WAIT WHAT WEREHOG TOO HOLY and knuckles and i think there was more but idk i can't check rn and i have lots more like plushies and stuff
This is so interesting about your art progression, and what motivated you to keep going. It's actually quite touching, and also inspiring, not only seeing how you drastically improved with drawing, but the emotional aspect that kept you going too. I find it inspiring too, because of your perseverance. I've loved Sonic characters, and other characters for a very long time, and always wished I could draw them, but just assumed that I couldn't. I've just always accepted that I'm bad at drawing, and so there was no reason to keep on trying. But your efforts and persistence in the undertaking really put me to shame. I should have just kept on trying. That speed drawing at the end was really amazing and came out beautiful. Keep on drawing and making this beautiful art, and thank you for this awesome video!

The sonic character that always popped out to me was Metal sonic, he was cool, sleek, intimidating, had cool bossfights, along with the fact that I really liked robots, especially back then. Not to mention he was in the first sonic game I ever played (sonic 4 episode 2). In which he had the best fight in the game. Love drawing him too, and my favorite sonic character to this day.
How are you so underrated??? It's amazing to see another Tails fan!!! Growing up as a huge Sonic fan, not many people I know loved Tails as much as I do. I absolutely loved the Characters and "some" of the games. Like you, I also love Foxes, it's also one of the reasons why I love Tails as a character. Your art is amazing too. I sadly threw away most of my sonic art when my phase came to an end before I got back into it in high school. I like the story of your progression and the motivation of your art, and I'm sure it will inspire other people to draw sonic art too!

Sonic has always been kind of a weird obsession for me lol. I only very recently got obsessed with him a completely normal amount despite the fact he's been a huge part of my life from as early as I can remember. Wow...this is eerily similar to my story of getting into sonic and drawing it. I'm younger and was expised to it through sonic x, but theres so much similar like me only drawing animals and no humans previously, loving tails, and being specifically 8 years old. I will say it again and again that the genius character designs in sonic are the reason the series has stuck around and remained popular for so long despite the games...varying in quality.
Recently, I haven’t been in any good mood. No game is fun. Being with friends wasn’t the same. But I decided I would pick up drawing again. And I tried to draw tails. At first I was frustrated mostly because I suck at drawing. At least that’s what I think, my family says that I’m great at drawing. But after a good day of drawing and looking at photos of tails as a reference. I learned I was having fun. For the first time in about a year and a half. I saw that I couldn’t stop drawing him and decided to try branching just a little bit. So I made my own character. She’s like tails except mint colored(her name is mint for those who are curious). And since making her, I haven’t stopped drawing. I’ve never been so obsessed about something like this ever since I was a kid playing sonic games as a child. I was originally looking for something here on UA-cam to help me learn to draw sonic characters other than a fox. But I found this video among them. It’s so cool to see something I feel that I’m starting to experience. And to be honest. I am thinking of learning art so I can do this as a living and for fun. Good stuff!! My six year old son discovered Sonic about a year ago in 2024. He's really obsessed with drawing Sonic and his art skills are really amazing for his age. He's definitely at the level of your old sketch books. He can draw Sonic, Shadow, Tails, Knuckles by memory, and in any pose. I really hope he sticks with it..
I just started drawing Sonic characters about a weak ago. Before then I solely drew Transformers, so Sonic’s style being so drastically different has proven a huge challenge, but I’m doing okayish. That’s a goal for me this year, keep drawing!

I thought it sliding really been my thing if my friend haven't told me about it. 5 years later...now a massive fan! Seen all the movies, sonic prime has sonadow generations and more!! 2:42 Tail’s is also my favorite character and has been since I first discovered Sonic around 12 years ago, for two main reasons; first My favorite animal was foxes, and he just felt… Idk how to explain it- But like- He was just everything I wanted to be as a kid, he was relatable in a sense.

This was a awesome video. I love drawing Sonic too. Some of the ships you made were pretty good like the Sonamy, or the Shadilver. I'm a Sonadow fan and it was nice seeing someone else with the same types of ships as me, it made me feel like I wasn't the only one who liked "gay" ships.

Ever since I was a wee boy, I've really liked Sonic. Something about this little blue bastard endeared himself to me. I watched reruns of the cartoon on Toon Disney and religiously watched my cousins play SA2 and SADX on the GameCube whenever I visited, but I never actually played a Sonic game until Unleashed. That's when I truly fell in love with the series.
I’ve also been a sonic fan for a decade and I’m still on my journey drawing sonic. When I first got Into the sth franchise, I was more into the games than the art so I didn’t draw for most of my time being a fan. I enjoyed the lore and the games and started into voice impressions after I started drawing, it’s nice to see someone else’s journey on art similar to my new journey now

My first attachment was definitely shadow when I really got into drawing at about 11. And he was not the easiest one to draw for a beginner. Those starfish quills used to give me so much trouble. I still need a reference for certain angles at times. And don’t get me started on sonic. He looks awful in my style 😂
You have no idea how much I agree I also started drawing when I was 8 or 7 but I have been obsessed with everyone (mainly tails and silver) sense I was 5 and I actually really look up to tails and I have been for years I am 11 now and I love seeing this kind of things where people explain why they love sonic or other things so much and your drawings are so much better then mine when I started cause I didn't start drawing cause of sonic but for a book series called wings of fire and its dragons so u started to draw when I was confident enough and my first drawing was of silver the hedgehog but I have also drawn tails way more then silver but it's cool to hear about your journey!
i feel like this is the only youtube I could relate too because I also liked to draw sonic characters a lot growing up- especially Amy it was bad haha- but ever since then I continued to draw and now I'm still loving the sonic franchise!
I've also been an artist, and a Sonic fan, for practically my whole life. I'm also 24, and I still love Sonic too. And now to point out where I'm different. I started out with the Classics, and moved on to the 3D games later on. I have also enjoyed Tails myself. I probably spent my younger years drawing Sonic characters too. Marine is pretty good as well. I started drawing humans pretty quick though. I too like what you can do with hands. You can definitely see the Sonic inspiration in my modern art style. Big heads, big eyes, big hands/feet, small bodies/limbs, etc. My art style would definitely developed a lot differently if I hadn't been a fan of Sonic. I'm not a fan of Pokèmon though.
I know this video was year ago, but maybe Marine will come back. A few days ago there was premiere a mobile game Sonic Dream Team and we could play some Sonic's friends and Cream who wasn't included so many years in Sonic francise. I even like her new voice.

I went through two Sonic phases when I was younger. The first was a little crazy but the second was short lasting and a little cringe. I struggle to look back at my cringey drawings. I may sometimes draw them, but I've developed a cartonny-ish style of drawing canines for my older comic series and I mainly stick to Five Nights at Freddy's. This only motivates me to make a few Sonic the Hedgehog doodles. I love the art at the end by the way. Huge jump.♥

Sonic is what inspired me to draw in the first place. I'm still drawing him now, and even when I draw other things, you cannot tell me to stop. I'll just keep going back to it and if you tell me otherwise, I will personally draw Windrunner (AU Sonic) punching you in the face for trying.
Tails is my top favorite character and will always be, Shadow is definitely a close second and I love them both a lot. I have been a Sonic fan for as long as I can remember and I don't plan on not being one anytime soon.
Cute video. I love these characters too. I love Marine too. I want her in more games. And I think her power should be more than just water that she used in Sonic Rush Adventure. Since we have Chaos as the Water Sonic Character. So I think she should have the power of Cryomancy. Especially since we never had an Ice Sonic Character.
i understand your favorite characters are Tails and Marine because they're based off your favorite animals, and honestly, i got really interested into cats especially black cats and surprise, my favorite character is Blaze . I love how she has the power of fire and i like the colour purple, she's lavender, but that gave me a bias . And at this point i made my own sonic oc called Altas, that's how i made my channel, Guardian_Atlas .
I also was a Sonic fan beginning from a young age, I never have owned a console, and still don't so I was limited to mobile games, crazy Ikr? The man who quite literally fought a solo war against 8 Sonic haters in a VS debate, was cursed to play a mobile game as his first impression of Sonic. That very first game was, Sonic Boom Dash I believe. Infact, games werent actually my first impression on Sonic it was a pinterest post that featured Sonic, Silver, Shadow and Amy. Thus the first mobian I ever saw was Shadow The Hedgehog. It was love at first sight. At the time I was quite dum and couldn't understand Shadow's abilities or his past, so I never knew where he came from, all I knew was cool grumpy dude with Air Shoes!! Eventually as I became older, Sonic Frontiers released, and with it released the Undefeatable Meme, I remember, just watching the screen as I suddenly realised: That golden hedgehog, it's the hero of my childhood! After that, I got more and more into the series, I even began a journey to draw EVERY character ever, starting from chronological order - Sonic, Tails, Amy, Metal, Knuckles, like that! Soo far Ive reached upto- hol up lemme check Ah yes, Modern Amy! Before which was Chaos, which mightve been the best drawing I made and the only one without outlines. In 2024 was when I truly unlicked the Title of a Sonic Fan. It was the same year when I learned-Sonic is way more fking owerful than I expected! But the thing is: I could never surpass the 8Yr od u, nope, not even rn, I still have to look at references to draw the characters, sure I was better at the beginning, but as the years went on, ur drawings just became better and better, if I had to bet u at 10Yr old can draw better than me rn, thus I can do nothing but admire you, Someone far superior than me from a young age
Have you ever drawn any other robot characters besides Omega, like Gamma or Metal Sonic? If so, was it easy or jarring to go from organic creatures to robots?
Actually, I haven't drawn a lot of mecha! I've drawn Omega before this, but it's still not very much. I remember drawing Gamma and Emerl once or twice as a kid, but I actually don't think I've ever drawn Metal Sonic, interestingly enough! I've drawn mechanical THINGS before, like armor on characters, or prosthetic limbs, or even actual vehicles (Motorcycles can be fun to draw even though they have so many complicated parts). I wouldn't say I'm particularly proficient at any of these things without good references, but I don't dislike drawing them. It's just gonna take me longer to get a piece done with something mecha in it due to my lack of practice compared to other things! I appreciate you asking this, you made me wanna practice some more! Are you a fan of drawing mecha things, yourself?

I'll be honest, younger me was skeptical of Sonic, younger me said "this would never be good!" But I gave it a try, I liked it, and the next thing you know, I'm speeding off creating OCs faster than Sonic himself. But I owe it all to my first OC, Cinder the Cat, for the reason I love Sonic. And I'm 17 now and still making OCs, it all started when I was 12.
I've only played a couple sonic games in my entire life (none of which I finished) those being sonic rush adventure and one of the old ones (idk which one) but my favorite characters were also tails and marine (and Blaze). I never really drew sonic stuff but I really enjoy the freanchise/

2:42 Tail’s is also my favorite character and has been since I first discovered Sonic around 12 years ago, for two main reasons; first My favorite animal was foxes, and he just felt… Idk how to explain it- But like- He was just everything I wanted to be as a kid, he was relatable in a sense.

This was a awesome video. I love drawing Sonic too. Some of the ships you made were pretty good like the Sonamy, or the Shadilver. I'm a Sonadow fan and it was nice seeing someone else with the same types of ships as me, it made me feel like I wasn't the only one who liked "gay" ships.
I'm also a Sonic fan, and I also love Marine even though she hasn't appeared at the moment but I still love her

Ever since I was a wee boy, I've really liked Sonic. Something about this little blue bastard endeared himself to me. I watched reruns of the cartoon on Toon Disney and religiously watched my cousins play SA2 and SADX on the GameCube whenever I visited, but I never actually played a Sonic game until Unleashed. That's when I truly fell in love with the series.
I’ve also been a sonic fan for a decade and I’m still on my journey drawing sonic. When I first got Into the sth franchise, I was more into the games than the art so I didn’t draw for most of my time being a fan. I enjoyed the lore and the games and started into voice impressions after I started drawing, it’s nice to see someone else’s journey on art similar to my new journey now

My first attachment was definitely shadow when I really got into drawing at about 11. And he was not the easiest one to draw for a beginner. Those starfish quills used to give me so much trouble. I still need a reference for certain angles at times.
And don’t get me started on sonic. He looks awful in my style 😂

You have no idea how much I agree I also started drawing when I was 8 or 7 but I have been obsessed with everyone (mainly tails and silver) sense I was 5 and I actually really look up to tails and I have been for years I am 11 now and I love seeing this kind of things where people explain why they love sonic or other things so much and your drawings are so much better then mine when I started cause I didn't start drawing cause of sonic but for a book series called wings of fire and its dragons so u started to draw when I was confident enough and my first drawing was of silver the hedgehog but I have also drawn tails way more then silver but it's cool to hear about your journey!
i feel like this is the only youtube I could relate too because I also liked to draw sonic characters a lot growing up- especially Amy it was bad haha- but ever since then I continued to draw and now I'm still loving the sonic franchise!
I've also been an artist, and a Sonic fan, for practically my whole life. I'm also 24, and I still love Sonic too. And now to point out where I'm different. I started out with the Classics, and moved on to the 3D games later on. I have also enjoyed Tails myself. I probably spent my younger years drawing Sonic characters too. Marine is pretty good as well. I started drawing humans pretty quick though. I too like what you can do with hands. You can definitely see the Sonic inspiration in my modern art style. Big heads, big eyes, big hands/feet, small bodies/limbs, etc. My art style would definitely developed a lot differently if I hadn't been a fan of Sonic. I'm not a fan of Pokèmon though.
I know this video was year ago, but maybe Marine will come back. A few days ago there was premiere a mobile game Sonic Dream Team and we could play some Sonic's friends and Cream who wasn't included so many years in Sonic francise. I even like her new voice.

I went through two Sonic phases when I was younger. The first was a little crazy but the second was short lasting and a little cringe. I struggle to look back at my cringey drawings. I may sometimes draw them, but I've developed a cartonny-ish style of drawing canines for my older comic series and I mainly stick to Five Nights at Freddy's.
This only motivates me to make a few Sonic the Hedgehog doodles.

Cute video. I love these characters too. I love Marine too. I want her in more games. And I think her power should be more than just water that she used in Sonic Rush Adventure. Since we have Chaos as the Water Sonic Character. So I think she should have the power of Cryomancy. Especially since we never had an Ice Sonic Character.
i understand your favorite characters are Tails and Marine because they're based off your favorite animals, and honestly, i got really interested into cats especially black cats and surprise, my favorite character is Blaze . I love how she has the power of fire and i like the colour purple, she's lavender, but that gave me a bias . And at this point i made my own sonic oc called Altas, that's how i made my channel, Guardian_Atlas .

I also was a Sonic fan beginning from a young age, I never have owned a console, and still don't so I was limited to mobile games, crazy Ikr? The man who quite literally fought a solo war against 8 Sonic haters in a VS debate, was cursed to play a mobile game as his first impression of Sonic. That very first game was, Sonic Boom Dash I believe. Infact, games werent actually my first impression on Sonic it was a pinterest post that featured Sonic, Silver, Shadow and Amy. Thus the first mobian I ever saw was Shadow The Hedgehog.
It was love at first sight. At the time I was quite dum and couldn't understand Shadow's abilities or his past, so I never knew where he came from, all I knew was cool grumpy dude with Air Shoes!!
Eventually as I became older, Sonic Frontiers released, and with it released the Undefeatable Meme, I remember, just watching the screen as I suddenly realised:
That golden hedgehog, it's the hero of my childhood!
After that, I got more and more into the series, I even began a journey to draw EVERY character ever, starting from chronological order - Sonic, Tails, Amy, Metal, Knuckles, like that!

In 2024 was when I truly unlicked the Title of a Sonic Fan. It was the same year when I learned-Sonic is way more fking owerful than I expected!
But the thing is: I could never surpass the 8Yr od u, nope, not even rn, I still have to look at references to draw the characters, sure I was better at the beginning, but as the years went on, ur drawings just became better and better, if I had to bet u at 10Yr old can draw better than me rn, thus I can do nothing but admire you, Someone far superior than me from a young age

Have you ever drawn any other robot characters besides Omega, like Gamma or Metal Sonic? If so, was it easy or jarring to go from organic creatures to robots?
Actually, I haven't drawn a lot of mecha! I've drawn Omega before this, but it's still not very much. I remember drawing Gamma and Emerl once or twice as a kid, but I actually don't think I've ever drawn Metal Sonic, interestingly enough!
I've drawn mechanical THINGS before, like armor on characters, or prosthetic limbs, or even actual vehicles (Motorcycles can be fun to draw even though they have so many complicated parts). I wouldn't say I'm particularly proficient at any of these things without good references, but I don't dislike drawing them. It's just gonna take me longer to get a piece done with something mecha in it due to my lack of practice compared to other things!

I only recently started drawing sonic characters, as a kid I was more of a Pokémon and Ben 10 kinda guy in terms of my art. I only asked because I really like how you drew Sonic characters and I love Metal Sonic’s designs and I wanted to see how he translates into your art style, whether as his normal design or as Neo Metal Sonic.

I'll be honest, younger me was skeptical of Sonic, younger me said "this would never be good!" But I gave it a try, I liked it, and the next thing you know, I'm speeding off creating OCs faster than Sonic himself.
But I owe it all to my first OC, Cinder the Cat, for the reason I love Sonic. And I'm 17 now and still making OCs, it all started when I was 12.
