I feel like it's killing me, literally. They say time heals everything but in my case it just makes it worse. I haven't been able to hug my sister in 860 days now. I sometimes think what I would of said to her knowing it could of been the last time. I just want to her back and to tell her about my day. It hurts so so much. Always make time for and love the ones here now. Dr Seuss said, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." I'll never forget that quote and will try my best to help me through times. Not many people will understand but know there are thousands of people out there going through what you are in a way. Don't feel isolated and alone. Let the passed loved ones memories and love help push you through even when it seems impossible.

I have a Baby-Sister who right now is dying of breast cancer; she has chosen to stop all medication & treatment that is directly meant to aid in the spreading of this awful disease. She made this choice because she could no longer bear how sick the chemo was making her. She is in hospice and assisted living, only 59, and she is my Baby-Sister. The most Lovely thing she could think to do is to dedicate this song to me, and how she has touched my heart more than it already is, is absolutely astounding. Prayers abound for Providence to see her all the way to the End of this Voyage she must complete. I thank everyone who reads this & joins in prayers, and I/we say Thank You in advance.

I had only heard it for the first time about a month ago and even though I know a lot of his music I had never heard of it before then. I knew that it would have to be our song ! I’m not sure how I would get through life without her so I. want to tell you how much of a STRONG person you are. I did loose my Best Friend when I was 25. We were friends for 15 years and her and her two young daughters were all struck and killed by a woman who fell asleep at the wheel. That was in 1998 and I still have times when the pain of losing them feels like I could actually die myself ! It takes a lot to even get as far as I have and it hasn’t been a pretty thing to get through! The saying used to be that “ it gets easier over time,” but people don’t really say that too much anymore because it isn’t true. The pain will never go away, but you find a way to get up and put one foot in front of the other and make it through another day. You can do that because you are strong and you know that is what your Sister would want for you ❣️ Even the days that you don’t think you are able to make it. I was 12 and my sister was 19 when she died, she had many complications like heart and liver problems, she became blind and partly deaf when she was a few years old. She was the strongest most up beat person i've ever seen. She also sung like a goddess.. Im almost 17 now.
I happened upon this song when my 24 year old sister was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago and it was my dedication to her. She almost didn't pull through but miraculously entered remission a year later. October of 2015 she was re-diagnosed and it came back with vengeance. We lost her May 31st of this year, and this song will always be ours.

SHe ended up with an abusive man and now is pregnant and I was so sad. BUT now her Husband wants her back. SHe is going to see him halfway home meet him and go back w/ him & their daughter gets daddy back. He will care for the baby even though its not his. He said "its not the babys fault" #realmenlove

I was 12 and my sister was 19 when she died, she had many complications like heart and liver problems, she became blind and partly deaf when she was a few years old. She was the strongest most up beat person i've ever seen. She also sung like a goddess.. Im almost 17 now.

I happened upon this song when my 24 year old sister was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago and it was my dedication to her. She almost didn't pull through but miraculously entered remission a year later. October of 2015 she was re-diagnosed and it came back with vengeance. We lost her May 31st of this year, and this song will always be ours.

My sister and I were front row at DMB'S West Palm show in July. Dave graced us with this as an encore. So, so special. We were there to celebrate our Mother together. That night was the 3rd anniversary of her memorial service. Thank you Dave and all the guys. I just used this video to tell my sis Happy Bday. Perfect. Perfect blessing to send her on such an important day.

He was my younger brother's idol. We went to so many concerts. Starting when we were early 20's. He died last year at 43 from his 4th different cancer. Pancreatic adenocarcinoma. He sent me these lyrics and I tried so hard to keep him that I became an oncology nurse. It didn't matter. I lost him.

DMB was her favorite band of all time, I'm pretty sure she lost track of how many times she's seen them live.
Today she would have been 49, and in her memory I'll be listening to DMB all day (one of my all time favorite bands too, though I've only been able to see them once)
Next plan is to get a DMB inspired tattoo in her honor, and one for my brother as well (12.25.2005)

I am listening to this for the first time. My sister and her husband broke up. SHe was so depressed and came to live with me and brough their baby. Time passed and I failed her so much. SHe ended up with an abusive man and now is pregnant and I was so sad. BUT now her Husband wants her back. SHe is going to see him halfway home meet him and go back w/ him & their daughter gets daddy back. He will care for the baby even though its not his. He said "its not the babys fault" #realmenlove
