I dreamed of Dave Matthews last night. I was (somewhere) and he was in the next room. I wanted to meet him but they wouldn't allow me in... saying I didn't know him. I told them I did know Dave Matthews and started singing this song - very loud and very well as they carried me out of the place. lol, I don't blame them. I'm not sure if I was really singing in my sleep or not but had to hear this song this morning when I woke up. These guys are geniuses with the lyrics and their playing. They capture what I think is the "human condition" with their music. I know tons of people who don't appreciate DMB. I attribute that to not having enough intelligence to understand what they're listening to. Anyhow, thanks for sharing this with lyrics. I needed a dose today.
I'm Amy , I didn't even like dmb in 98-99 , I thought they were like Phish, sorry, I'm not a big fan. But I did pay all this to go with my friends, omg this is by far the best concert ever,! I've been to at least 20 concerts, not to mention my family picks on the porch for years. I'd love to see them again

Going to a DMB concert is on my bucket list! Would absolutely love to see them live!!! It would be awesome. My brother got me listening to DMB. From the very start I was hooked. His music brings such happiness in my life. When life gets me down, DMB always lifts me up. 💖😍🌈🦄💯👼🔥✌
I'm not from the United States (I live in Peru... Peru? Yes! Peru) and you can imagine how difficult it is to find people who know and enjoy DMB where I live. Apart from my dad and I, I never found other people who knew at least one DMB song where we are. I met this band for the first time at Woodstock '99, (not live obviously, I mean watching them on the DVD in 2009 more or less) with the song tripping billies. All my classmates liked other types and styles of music; typical of this country; types and styles that I didn't liked at all to be honest... and I was the only one who knew DMB in class, and in the whole school I think. I remember too,that it was in 2011 that I discovered "Dancies Nancies", in one of those afternoon summer vacations, while surfing the internet. The song, kind of shaped my musical taste since then, I don't know how to really explain it. Anyway, I would just like to close this comment by saying thank you to Dave and the band for being so amazing. Peace

What a pity, because I have good memories of this song. He sounds kind homophobic and classist, so he thinks being gay or working as an attendant, even when it's an honest job, is the worst situation.
