Ever wonder how many trains in the Disney Parks? Well wonder no more! I have put together for you a collection, categorized by theme park, the many trains in the Disney Resorts. I did have to make the distinction between model/toy/display/static trains and operational/functional trains, so if you are wondering where the model trains from the German Pavilion, the model train from the Emporium on Main Street, Casey Jr.'s Splash-N-Soak in Magic Kingdom or the train shop in Shanghai, that is the reason why they are not featured here. - Фільми й анімація

I think Paris has the best collection of locomotives and rolling stock.
They really are nice engines in Paris. I am a bit biased since my favorite engine in the whole world is E.P. Ripley here in Disneyland, CA haha But to your point, Michael Eisner set out to make the most beautiful Disney Park and the Railroad was defiantly part of that requirement

Thank you Wally! I notice that the Disney Parks do pay tribute to similar designs, but they also provide a VAST diversity of different kinds of transportation, especially with their trains. Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you for the great video. I found it rather (unintentionally?) funny that for the Shanghai Disneyland segment, you showed a clip of a Vekoma roller coaster, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. I really liked Shanghai Disneyland but its one major strike against it is its lack of not only a train but lack of any transportation rides whatsoever. That park is absolutely massive and my feet were really tired by the end of the day after walking everywhere. I remember telling my wife in the afternoon of one of our visits there, "You know what I really could go for right now? A ride on the Disneyland Railroad!" That park seriously needs a boat, train, skyride, or monorail...something/anything that lets people relax and put their tired feet up. Shoot, I'd settle for a parking lot tram over there - seriously!
I remember when Shanghai Disneyland was being built and I thought all along that its lack of a train was a major shortcoming but I'd reserve my final judgement until after I actually went to the park and experienced it myself. Now that I've been there a couple of times, my original hunch was correct and the park's lack of a train or any other transportation rides is what keeps me from ranking it in the upper half of my favorite Disney theme parks. That's a real shame too because the Pirates of the Caribbean at Shanghai Disneyland is incredible and videos do not do it justice whatsoever.
Also, thank you for including the much overlooked Tokyo Disneyland's Western River Railroad and the DisneySea Electric Railway. Both of those were the surprise hit attractions of my visit to the Japanese Disney parks. Though the Western River Railroad is much shorter than the other Disney theme park train rides, it has some of the most beautiful views of any of them. The part of the ride over the long trestle over and past Critter Country and Westernland and along the Rivers Of America (in Japan) is absolutely gorgeous, especially at night. No other Disney theme park train ride has as beautiful of a view in my opinion, although the new trestle along the Rivers Of America on the Disneyland Railroad is pretty close to it.
Thanks again for the video. Since I can't ride many Disney theme park trains around the world due to the covid-19 pandemic, your video helped me get over my urge to climb aboard and go on a "Grand Circle Tour."

Yes indeed! It may be the rarest bit of footage for the Disneyland Railroad and the very reason why I featured it here in this compilation

Shanghai Disney Never had a railway (but it should as guests may get tired from walking between themed areas)
I think it was foolish and a missed opportunity for Shanghai to not have a Railroad. It breaks from tradition in a bad way (in my humble opinion)
From what I heard, Shanghai has no train due to the negative connotations of the Chinese immigrants who died building the First Transcontinental Railroad. It has also been stated that focus group research has determined that with train transport being such a mundane everyday part of life in mainland China, a railroad attraction wasn't overly interesting. However there is a train shaped building within Mickey Avenue, called Whistle Stop Shop.

One of my favorite engines on the Disneyland Railroad is the No. 1, the _C.K. Holliday_ because I have a bit of interest in this locomotive's (and the _Lilly Belle's_ ) basis, the Central Pacific No. 173. This maybe a bit of a daydream of mine, but I hope someone decides to build a full scale operating replica of that engine one day.
As you probably already know, the Virginia and Truckee's No.18 "Dayton" is mechanically alike to 173, so in a way there already is a standard gauge version of CP 173 in existence haha But I whole-heartedly understand your plea. For me, I'm just satisfied Lilly Belle survived into preservation and that Holliday is still a strong workhorse of an engine on the DRR

This is so awesome! Nice compilation of all the park trains! Funny enough, I made a list a month or two ago of all the past and current Disney Parks trains that are not static or models just for personal reference and curiosity. I have to say, I don’t think there’s one you missed!

@@WaltsNephew hah yup! Definitely a gray area but the way I see it, if it runs on rails and is meant to replicate or imitate rail transportation of any kind, it counts, plus chew chew train is in the name of the ride!
That is cool that you gathered up every single train or train themed ride from all 6 parks. My favorite is the the Walter E Disney locomotive in Walt Disney World because I see it as the largest and most colorful locomotive in the park. What's your favorite?
For me, I enjoy every single Disneyland Railroad engine. BUT, I must confess, E.P. Ripley is absolutely my favorite for several reasons. She's unique in being a green engine, a brass cap-stack, the Lunkenheimer 3 chime and the fact she opened the Park. And it just so happens that Ripley is Walt's favorite engine as well

well it’s a good thing that Walt’s barn saved the engine because I’m pretty sure Disney would have just put it in storage
It did sit on the Rivers of America for the longest time, then the Carolwood Society bought the engine, tender and one mineral wagon. I know definitely the wagon is restored but the tender and engine I am not too sure of

Excellent question! That is the former Nature's Wonderland Mine Train, the attraction replaced by Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
@@WaltsNephew Thank you! Interesting to know that there was another steam train besides the main Railroad and the Fort Wilderness Railroad. Was that locomotive actually steam powered or was it similar to a regular ride, such as the modern day Big Thunder Mountain?
Another great question! Walt originally conceived this attraction with the notion of scratch building more locomotives but for practical reasons (especially with extensive indoor areas) it was unfeasible. So Bob Gurr designed these steam outline locomotives with an electric motor in the tender

Oh no hahaha That's an original horse-drawn street car modeled after the ones utilized here in Disneyland, CA. I can see the similarity though!

I think Ripley definitely played a role in the aesthetic design for Frank G. Wells! The brass cap stack is undeniably canny

I'd say the engine is fairly original in design, yes. Although the chimney is reminiscent of the Ulysses S. Grant
@@WaltsNephew It kinda looks like the Western and Atlantic Railroad's "Texas" Locomotive while the HKDRR's no. 2 looks also like the "General" Locomotive that's also owned by the W&ARR

No, and you're not the first to ask hahaha I chose that name for UA-cam since Walt preferred children to call him "Uncle Walt." I'm not a child anymore but I figured I'd take inspiration from that and chose "Walt's Nephew" as my little handle

I agree with ya. When I discovered in 2017 that the original Roundhouse had been removed I was disappointed and devastated. But, at least the Railroad isn't gone haha
