Dyson corrale has the extra ten minutes. I love mine. However i am purchasing the unplugged since its small and light to carry around in my bag since Dyson is heavy. I live in Florida where the humidity is a killer so a touch up styler you can throw in the bag is a life saver

I just returned my dyson corrale... We go away in our caravan a lot so i was super excited to be able to take it away but i do my hair similar to yours and the curls were just falling out. I couldnt even run my hand through to lossen them up without them completely dropping out. I used all shorts of sprays and mouses. It is a great product if you have long hair and want curls at the end.. or if you want to use it as a straightener but no good for curling hair shoulder length! Im thinking this ghd may be better for me! Thank you for the review!

I bought a cordless straightener years ago in Lidol for under £20.
Perfect for touch ups when out for a night.
Looking at this, I don’t think I will be spending the money.
After a year, does it still work well? I do travel sometime and wanted to avoid the hassles of wires.
OMG so happy I saw this video before purchasing! I was about to buy this but didn’t know it lasted for only 20 minutes, not worth it now in my opinion!
For travel this is a game changer!
People straighten there hair for more then 20 minutes?!!!!!!! I only straighten mine for 3 minutes or 5 max.😭😭😭💀

Good review. I bought the corrale just a few months ago and when I saw this was released I wasn’t sure wether I felt regretful or not!
While I think this looks great I think it seems expensive especially given that there is no temperature control and the battery only lasts 20 minutes. It looks to me like it’s purely a travel/ on the go thing and not something you’d use day to day like the corrale which is fine but I think it really limits who would buy this. I think there is limited times where this is useful for the average person and doesn’t justify the cost.
I would love to try the Corrale one day if I can get my hands on it!

Defos platinum all the way for daily use; never need to worry about charging and the wider plate means easier styling!

Can u use it while charging ? Coz i saw Dyson Corrale can straighten your hair cordless & while connected to the charger. Still thinking which 1 to choose though

Thank you so much! Because the technology of Unplugged is the same as the GHD Gold, it's technically more similar to the Cloud 9 Touch. GHD Platinum + is most comparable to Cloud 9 Original Pro. Hope that helps!

Can you charge it while styling your hair?
You can't! I tried to turn it on while it was on charge and it wouldn't work. I was hoping it would 🥲

So worth buying this product for resident use or is about only for on the go ?
I also wanted to ask if I charge it less than two hours operates or needs full charge ?

For thick/curly hair, it would just be for on the go! You don't need to charge it for the full two hours, unless you want a full battery :)
Can I ask if the temperature makes a difference . My current GHD straightener is 200- 230 degrees. I know it’s an older one ! Thanks
Hey! For at least the last 7-8 years GHD only ever have used 185 degrees (Celcius) on all their irons so the unplugged is the same at 185!

Great review as usual! At least GHD is honest when they talk about it. They say it’s for quick touch ups and as a light weight/small styler. I’m sure that GHD will come out with a bigger model with a longer garter life if sales of this one do well. I love GHD products and own their Helios hairdryer, hot brush, and several different brushes. Thanks again for the awesome review.
I think they'll come out with a full size model soon too!!

20 mins that would be a no for me with thick long curly, frizzy hair I wish these cordless tools gave us an hour 😭🙄
I feel that If it was $200 cheaper, lasted 10 minutes longer and came in more colours everyone would have one by now 🤷♀️

My hair is long and thick AF, so def wouldn’t be for me 20 mins is nothing.
These are rubbish I brought them for my partner and she sent them straight back they don't even last 20 mins to use them they die put it takes two hours to charge stupid if you ask me ..
