That front fairing/headlight fits the bike just perfectly. The shape and the color match the bike like it was stock. I love the little holes in it too, nice touch. Good job on that.

I out ran a Jackson County Sheriff (MI) on a KDX 200. He clocked me at 80 mph. Flat tracking on a dirt road. My favorite bike ever.

never guessed it would do.....? i had a 1978 kawi KE175 ( you had the same one, even colour...) and it would easy do 120 km or 74 mph according to its speedo but to be fair , i guess, i was 13 and a twig lol.... i dont remember but not likley 100 lbs lol ! i loved that bike and no bs it was very MINTY! like i mean , old man driven around town.... should never have been given to a kid for 3 years... i absolutly tortured it the third year and shoulda had a upgrade.... but even learning on it was good for a first bike.... easy to kick over, it could lug hills, was low seat height, and i dont ever remember it letting me down.... only prob was my mistake being in a hurry, after school to get out with the boys i grabbed the old mans saw gas ( already mixed , doh ) of course i t hardly started.....but did, and holy, epic smoke plume.... dads like, " have ta run it out and then get a new plug lol" i actually did ( my RM now.... no friggen chance ) the suspention was just so 1978 , crap, for what i tryed to do.... i remember trying a buddys 85 ish CR125.... but it would absolutyl woop the crap outa my bf XL185 .... oh ya !

I hired a brand new one in 1994 in crete. i had out of it on a dual carriageway with my head on the tank just under 100 mph .160 kmh

with the 200 it's all about gearing. my buddies cruises at 70mph in 4th at like 4k. it'll do 83 maxed out. but you do lose a tad bit of low end but the top speed is worth it to me

@@drumkid330 Are you talking about the power valve? I've heard the noise that makes and it's too hard to tell in the video I suppose, but it really sounds like the piston slap noise to me.

My man...... you REALLY should suit up for those top speed runs ESPECIALLY on a used bike that you dont know much about ESPECIALLY on asphalt !!!! Alot can go wrong and you in your shorts and t shirt and deck shoes wouldn't fair well against that black top at 70 or 80 mph !! You know what they say accidents usually happen less than a mile from home ! Your just getting your website going and wouldn't be good if you got hurt badly before that took off ! Something to consider keep up the vids good luck with the website!!

Ive had 8 of them. From 175 to 450cc Marbles in a tin can is there trait. But still run forever
The kips system is notorious for sounding like piston slap is what I’ve heard

Carb clean, fresh fuel, new sparkplug, make sure it had spark
Marvel mystery oil in cylinder use it to start hundreds of bikes saws mowers for past 30 years

When slowing down, do not downshift and slow down via RPM use rear brake.
Max B can u elaborate I sorta thought engine braking was when you go all fast on the gas and let off completely
YBN panther OG yes, don’t let the engine wind down in RPM without punching the throttle a few times to get some fuel through. After all the lubricant does burn out after a short time

@@LuBuckets when in doubt, pull in the clutch so the stress on the engine stops. You'll get the hang of it
