It's just me driving in and around London mainly in the Surrey areas seeing stupid drivers everywhere I go.

I, for one, really enjoy the longer vids. I love that I am not the only one to find these things annoying and verbalise my feelings.
Me too. It gives us more context of complex driving.
Half an hour is fine. As you are funny and interesting. Keep up the great work you do.
The length is perfect
That's what she said!
Reported for filthy innuendo.... haha! :)
😂
Only an idiot would say "concentrate on your own driving".... driving is more than just what you do in your car. It's also about awareness and anticipation - and you can't do those without scanning the road ahead and around you.
I'd say driving is more about concentrating on what others are doing. As a driver, you should be fully aware of what you're doing, but the trick is to work out what those around you are doing.
@@johnnodge4327 My driving instructor always said don't just look at the car in front of you. Look ahead. That saved me many times driving on the motorways to get to work.
@@angeladormer6659 correct, and on a motorway it means scanning up to half a mile ahead and getting the idea of overall car group behaviour and bunching of cars and lorries in the second lane.
@johncranna9427 So true. It prepares you. Sometimes everyone is driving fast on the motorways, but if you look ahead you can see brake lights coming on, I would gradually ease off, then I would not go careering into anything because I'm prepared.
I would argue that 'awareness and anticipation' are equally part of ' your Driving'. and everyones driving for that matter.
Love the longer video. I really enjoy your content and sometimes it just seems to finish too quickly! You were driving around my neck of the woods. I retired from the M&S in that retail park some years ago. The traffic around the Brentford MacDonalds has been a pain for along time with all the building work going on. I had the joy of the M4/M25 today as I was taking my partner to an appointment in Watford. Luckily all the other drivers seemed to be behaving themselves, so the journey was uneventful. 🤣
You've got to give the E-type Jaguar convertible a break. When it was built the electrical systems were supplied by Lucas, Prince of Darkness!
Rosehill Roundabout. I had a look at the satellite view on Google Maps and *there* the road markings are quite clear - if only they were when viewed from the ground. Where you started from take the lane closest to the middle (i.e. lane 3), marked right only, along the long side of the roundabout until you just start turning around the curved end. Then glue yourself to the white line on your left which will take you out to lane 1 at the lights between the two halves of the A217. From there it's obvious (you just keep left until you turn off) as that's the route you were already following from that point..
So yes, at the top end of the roundabout from the way we're looking at it, lane 3 does split into three lanes, and after that the new lane 3 immediately splits into two lanes - so in a way that 1 outside line _does_ split into 4 in about 7 car lengths.
Having recently discovered you on UA-cam I am sitting here with a whisky in my hand , binging on your past shows. Keep it up they are the best things since sliced bread.🥃🥃👍👍
They're an absolute treat aren't they.

Tony's channel is top entertainment. He's so funny x
Welcome and you won't get bored, trust me.Especially when the quacks start coming.😂😂😂
@@PeterLomax-xl9if
Unfortunately you have to tolerate the hate watchers. They are few,,,, but they come on here to vilify the channel and put Tony down under the guise of 'safety purveyors' and quote useless percentages. This is an entertainment channel and the rest of us love it x
Agreed, I can't understand why he doesn't have many more followers. Why are we such a minority of UA-cam viewers? Perhaps the majority are the featured Numpties! GHUA! (God Help Us All)
That was enjoyable Tony. Don’t mind if it’s long or short, I enjoy watching the clowns trying to negotiate the roads!!! 😂😂😂
Is there an echo on this channel?
Hi tony
Love the videos
Rosehill roundabout is a nightmare i remember it before the lights,it was even worse
I would love Ashley neal's opinion as i think you were in the wrong lane but i might be wrong
Keep up the good job ❤
7:00 the berk in the merc going to the shopping centre in a hurry had clearly run out of self-entitlement wax!
LDC is correct: Merc driver isn't an arsehole, he's what comes out of one after a bad Ruby.
@@alanclarke4646 Poor old Ruby Murray, I bet she hated that moniker.
Love the length of video ❤
In my opinion Tony, you should keep making them long because I enjoy watching you and so does my mum as you make my day and make me laugh until I fall of the sofa 😂😂
Time flies by anyway. Just love your content!
Speaking as someone who kept a droptop as my daily driver for 25 years, the baseball cap is pretty much a necessity to keep the sun out of your eyes. If you also have a full head of hair it helps to stop that blowing across your eyes too. If you don't have much up top it stops you getting a sunburned pate. I drove that car for long enough that I went through both the "too much hair" and "not enough hair" stages.
Longer videos will be great please. I love this guy talking, so funny 😊 don't miss a video. Having my dinner and watching it. Keep up the good work 👍 💪
Some years ago now I was travelling on the M25 heading towards Crawley when all the traffic came to a halt. It was the Concorde flying over the top. Everybody stopped to look at it flying over. I’ll never forget that what a fantastic site that was i didn’t blame people for stopping to see Street such a beautiful plane 🛩️🛩️
I used to see Concorde flying overhead quite a lot when I lived between Croydon and West Wickham. A beautiful machine.
@@Chewiebakke yes I totally agree, it was such a shame the way it ended I never got to fly on it. Basically I couldn’t afford to
Any length video from you is welcome, watched and enjoyed, Tony!! The longer videos do allow me to eat a meal!! Thanks for the explanations as I have never been on the roads in London - one or two back cabs, one double-decker bus, the rest on foot or using the tube! That Rose-whatever roundabout could put the road names on the lanes, so people get in the correct lane, but those to your right that wanted to exit were queue jumpers who knew exactly what they were doing and that it was wrong. Puts me in mind of some weird intersections in Australia where the right-turn lane is to the left of the straight lane...someone was on drugs when they designed those!!
I enjoy all your videos, but especially the longer ones. You've got the observation and wit to carry it off splendidly.
Half hour is great Tony, keep 'em coming 👍
You was OK at Rosehill roundabout. I used to live in Neath Gardens, just down Bishopsford Road, and you followed the markings correctly from Reigate Avenue. But, having said that, the way I would go round it when it was busy was boot down and go for it. Used to be a nice old pub where Lidl`s is now. Within easy staggering distance of home. Long or short, all your vids are good.
Red BMW at 7:30 still commited an offence as an amber light still has the same meaning as a red light if you can stop safely. Simply because it is possible to _just_ get beyond the line doesn’t mean you still can’t be penalised if caught
When approaching lights I always ask the question “Can I stop?” so if the lights change I already know if it is brake or keep going 👍
Wow, that plane was close!! I can see how distracting that could be to some drivers!! 😮
Hubby & I enjoy watching your videos Tony, the longer ones are preferable (in our opinion) but don't really mind either way
😊👍
M1 for East Midlands airport can be good as well but nowhere near as good as being on the perimeter road like that 👍
@smilerbob I've been close to an airport many times, but as a passenger in someone else's car. Not sure how I'd cope while driving myself!! Would just have to repeat out loud "concentrate on the road, concentrate on the road" 😂😂
@@DriveSmartDash The first few times the phrase is “Concentrate on the road, concentrate on the road, concen…bloody ‘eck that was a bit close!” 🤣
@@smilerbob 😂😂
Love the longer version keep it up Tony ❤❤
Thanks The London Dash Cam 🚕😊👍PS love the longer videos 🤗
I’ve much preferred the longer episode, but I love watching all of them irrespective of length
Daily upload of a 10-minute video from you would be the dream! Appreciate you anyway. 🙏👍
Liking the long video with more funny content.Always makes me laugh when you show the front camera then the rear, especially with the commentary. My daughter laughs at some of the things you say and she's 10😮😮😮.My misses tells me off for letting her watch your vids. She knows most words but I say "as long as you don't repeat them".That being said don't change and keep doing what you're doing 😂😂😂
Great video again. Rosehill roundabout is a nightmare I did my driving test in Sutton and had to go round it and had to do an emergency stop due to absolute idiot cut me up and nearly took us out. I was so panicked driving examiner said secure the car he got out to go up to the other driver had words. He then returned to me and said move over to passenger side so he could move his car somewhere safe for me to take over as I was in shock, long story short I did pass first time which was a relief.
Up here in Scotland it's hard to look to far ahead as you are busy watching for the bloody pot holes.
Enzo Ferrari called the E-Type the most beautiful car in the world. And he knew a thing or two about beautiful cars.😁
As long as it's the drophead. The coupe is a bundle of ugliness that makes my mother-in-law look like Sophia Loren by comparison.
Rose Hill Round about . You should be in the RIGHT TURN lane as the First 2 lanes are to ST Helier Ave ,then almost immediately the Bishopsford Road exit with 2 lanes turn off .What your missing is the firm traffic island allowing you to say Exit 1 Or Exit 3 (stay in middle of roundabout til passing exit 2 then Mirror Signal And slide over . It does help if you use google maps on street view but have it that your looking from ST Helier Ave .Hope this helps you
its always interesting content so the time flew by! didn't realise it was 27 minutes! So, I have no issues with the length
I enjoy all the videos no matter the length.
any length of video from you is fine, always interesting and funny
The video length is fine, very entertaining too 😃
My "vote" is for similar or longer length videos please sir - love your wit, manner, delivery and format - thanks sir and please keep it up - sorry I do not have spare money to help you and show my appreciation - take care.
Longer versions are great I love these
I really Enjoy your Videos and could watch them for 45 minutes to an Hour no problem.🧸🚙🚓
I like a long video. You keep me smiling 😂
So looking forward to the works on the M25/A3 junction are complete!
Perfect , thanks 😊
At the Chessington /Leatherhead there is no yellow box junction Painted or worn out .If I had you up on retest that would be 1 then another for hesitation and failure to maintain headway
Just seen the road markings on rose hill roundabout, and it does look like you are in the wrong lane, as there are some small lines that cross one another, they look like they guide you straight on, an awkward one though. Great videos all the same.
More of this length please or longer, can't get enough!
Love it , keep doing what you're doing !! Long vids our fine by us 😀
7:25, i also break. Easy does it.
Our 🇳🇱 small neighborhood streets are 30 kmh but the roads and street connecting them are 50 kmh.
The whole inner-city from the French capital Paris is 30 km/h.
Great videos ❤ more the better ❤
I like the longer videos but any ones are entertaining as always
A beautiful E type.... Just not driven beautifully. I also own a 🇬🇧 Classic of a similar age and can confirm that every single bulb actually works. A failure to indicate is just lazy.
No shortage of shenanigans but I expect nothing else 🤣.
I prefer a shorter vid - under 20 minutes - but will go with the majority vote as we live in a democracy......
At least; we used to. I'm not so sure now 😮.
Good vid, Tony.
I like this length of video keep up the good work
Longer format is much better.👍👍👍
I prefer the longer vids. I think your commentary is top notch.
Further... absolutely agree about scanning the road ahead. You should always be as prepared as possible for approaching hazards or whatever.
Well yes, I would say that is a basic part of road craft.
Thank you
Great video ideal length.
5:50 Theres absolutely no way I’d let that berk in a Merc back in. I would have closed the gap in front right up.
Then you are asking for trouble. You never know who is at the wheel of another vehicle. Could end badly. As seen in many dashcam videos.
I like the longer videos Tony, I wish they were longer still.
The longer format vids are better. 30/40 mins seems to be the normal on UA-cam now and perfect for this content. Some are 1hr to 2hrs depending on the video subject.
Average human attention span is about 20 minutes, so no, longer format is not better.
5:37, this infrastructure looks good and modern. 👍
Your comment at 24:06 always makes me think how a fully autonomous car would deal with this situation. I suspect that it would never enter the roundabout and would stay where it was until it ran out of fuel or electricity!
The markings on the roundabout at 18:45 are clear(ish) but confusing. The lane you was in was for straight on only
If you look on the road at 18:55 you will see what looks like a cross and that is the lane markings crossing over for your direction and from the left. Your lane continues down to the A217 and the lane to the right should be used for the direction you and the Audi were going
It is easy to think the layout should be different whe ln you drive it and makes sense to be the way you think it is but unfortunately it isn’t
As for two lanes into one, there is a roundabout on the A38 / A50 junctions that is a 40mph spiral roundabout that is two lanes exiting into an immediate one lane sliproad. Always fun in rush hour 🤣
Long videos mate keep up the good work
These videos are a nice length, we always want a little more. People could always watch some and then resume!
Maybe that blue car was slip streaming the bus 😂😂
23:07 The best way to get to Leatherhead if you were turning off the M25 going east at J9 is to turn left (towards Esher) then first left. Takes you down the old Kingston road. Only 30mph but that's faster than dead slow or stop.
There's no such thing as 'bad drivers' there's just a few really good ones that put the rest to shame! 🤔😂
Looked like a Jag E Type convertible 🙌🏻
Obs
Question: Is your Dashcam clock on GMT or adjusted for BST?
at 9:14 difficult one for busses, but recommended not to break hard but to hit other cars if they either pull infront of you etc, less chance of passengers being forced off their seats and injuring them selves vs just 1 or 2 in car or 1 pedestrian/cyclist
Long or short videos - enjoy them all!
@@rogernichols2414 agreed
The Eejit in the E Type (and it was the unloved Americanised, later model not the purists’ earlier versions) didn’t know how to use the fly-off handbrake either!
15’20ish” - From Reigate Avenue (where Victor Meldrew is) to exit at Bishopsford Road towards Mitcham, Wryth Lane for Carshalton or Rosehill to go towards Sutton, the right hand lane is the only choice, the left hand lane markings when one is entering the roundabout only make that a bit clearer when it is literally too late.
We locals know this but the markings at the entry coming from St Helier Avenue are even worse as there are three lanes there and many opt for the inside left lane when they really ought to be in the centre if they want the Rosehill exit for Sutton.
Sadly, as Victor has pointed out, there are many boneheads with cars in the vicinity, I can’t call them all drivers as too many just haven’t a clue.
As an aside, try exiting Lidl’s car park into the roundabout, it is not controlled by the traffic lights so if you want to head to Sutton when (if) there’s a gap, you will either cheese somebody off or have a collision, a real lottery! Now that there is a Lidl at the bottom of Throwley Way, that problem has been resolved for me at least.
I do not drive and i can see the problems when watching your clips, and you have to expect the unexpected with the idiots on our roads
20-30mins is always good in my eyes
it's usually the ones that drive poorly that want you to mind your business lol, they don't want to be called out
I like this length of video
That green car is a Austin Allegro Convertible.
Plane looks like an airbus a320
and our family car has a few white scrapes on our black Toyota, found them getting home from Blaydon Morrisons
Series 2 E Type Jaguar 4.2 ltr 😀😀👍👍
The green car is an e-type Jag, best car ever only let down by it's reliability and electrics which is why the indicators don't work....
That's why you leave the rooftop down so you can wipe the windscreen with your hand PS. I like the longer videos.
The guy driving it was probably old enough to know the hand signals for indicating.
On the approach to Rose Hill Roundabout, there's a Khan assassin dropping off his fare whilst blocking the shared pavement / cycle lane...
That McDonalds in Brentford is notorious for idiots blocking the left hand lane.
I was around that area the same day, as I remember those road works on the A4 blocking off where I needed to go 😒
It's never been the same since Brentford got into the Premier League.
Hi half hour videos would be great 😊
Tony Is rosebank roundabout a spiral?
Length? Dont care, i enjoy my drives with you, it's the closest I'll ever get to uk now!
Everyone local to rosehill roundabout knows which lane they should be in but some try to sneak round using the middle lane.
Correct me if I'm wrong but, does the highway cod not say something about stopping at an amber light..if it is safe to do so ? Which I read as 'if there's a car very close behind & if I stop there'll be an accident, I'll keep going, thank you' or something to that effect. As to the length of the videos, instead of 'speeding up' just cut out the"I'll just speed it up where nothing's happening' & go straight to the incident you'd get more of them in that way. It being Sarf Landan there's barn'd ter be more, ain't there
You're right, and that was the point that LDC made. He checked to see if anyone was close behind and as there wasn't then he could safely brake that bit harder. Also if you are just a few feet from stop line then you couldn't stop in time so that is 'allowed'.
I've written several times and complained about videos longer than 10-12 minutes. But in your case it's fine Tony, no problem with 27 minutes!
keep it loving it
For someone driving too close these are classic examples:
Driving to Devon when it's dark and I'm on A303 driving at the limit 60. The cars behind me don't want to drive at this speed and zoom past as we are going down a hill. It's quiet so while not legal because of their speed it's safe. As they zoom off in front of me I see the double flash twice of a camera and can't help but laugh as they are both getting a fine for that one.
The worst though probably was me driving at a reasonable distance along M4 in a section that then had a 70 limit (now 50 - go figure that one...) and I have to do an emergency stop from 70 as I see a car that had been driving too close to another spin and an engine is dumped on the road right in front of me steaming. Because I wasn't driving like an idiot I was able to stop and then carry on to my work destination.
6:30 the berk in a Merc , he's a - Traffic, Without, A, Thought
Shorter but more action packed.
Less = more in some of these videos.
Red: Stop
Green: Go
Amber: Go faster
You will have your little joke, zydol
Don't you know you can save fuel slipstreaming a bus?
I am one of those cyclists you love so much, but I often get to lights and pull up alongside tailgaters to ask "How much do you save from slipstreaming like that?" 9 times out of 10 they have no idea what i'm getting at.
Wouldn’t the keep clear be for them as well?
Liked the lenght of the video.
I'll say this length's perfect
11:38, he is definitely looking at a phone; his right elbow will be on the armrest on the door, and he is holding the phone below the window line, hoping not to get seen. He knows exactly what he is doing; if police were to stop him, he would drop it into the door pocket before stopping the car, so they have no evidence, probably not his first rodeo. That's also why you only see his left arm on the wheel, and he is all over the place doing all car controls with one arm.
3:01 hi tony
I believe the plane is an A330 British airways coming from probs Scandinavia
