What most people don't know,Myles is a pretty skilled guitarist/former guitar teacher,he has given lessons to both Tremonti and Slash and plays lots of lead guitar parts in Alter Bridge(like the first solo in ''Blackird'' or the spanis guitar intro in ''Cry of Achilles'').There's even a video of him, from the 90's,where he's doing some crazy Nuno Bettencourt style shredding!
yeah man, he was originally only a guitarist before he knew he could sing.
greekfreak1980 On fortress and the new record he acts like the lead guitar player, both him and Mark play rhythm and lead, but he plays most of the lead guitar stuff
Austin Moser no he doesn't. In ab he plays rhythm 90% of the time.
Jack Rowbotham i have the sound and the story dvd, where they teach all of the songs and a good majority of his parts are lead, im talking about the lead parts during verses , choruses and bridges, not necessarily solos
For people who know a lot about guitar, Myles is more like a guitarist than a vocalist
Damn bro, that's a huge guest.
I was at the show in South Africa and got to hug myles was an awesome show
What a chill guy
Were it not for Slash I would never have discovered Myles as my music tastes moved on with my age but I always stayed close to Slash from being a massive GnR fan... Thank you Slash.
Myles Kennedy is a GOD.
The album is amazing.
This was awesome, Trey. Myles is always such a cool guy when he breaks down what he is doing. There is a video out there of him breaking down his Blackbird solo that gives awesome insight to what he is doing musically. He is a massively talented musician, and connects with his audience in a way few musicians do.
That riff is so good man, it just stands all on its own
What a legend.
Congrats on your new album, can't wait to hear. Thanks brothers!
Always comes across as a really great guy, thanks for the lesson Gear Gods, Myles Kennedy is awesome!
Lesson learned today: The tuning of the Tiger. :)
3 Years old and still amazing
Yes I was very tall for being only 3 years old
Myles: it's a simple song. (makes crazy shape with ring finger on the 11th fret)😕
The song is simple anyway. But the guitar playing is so sophisticated AF.
I'm sorry but is there anyone more friendly, chill and badass all at the same time than Myles Kennedy?
Yes there is, he is called Mark Tremonti
Rahadyan Puspa They are about the same honestly. Both badasses both chill af
@@ambrooks5 on the same spectrum but with different approaches
Jerry Cantrell
Myles is a great teacher. I'm in love.
Myles is purley under rated.
Best voice in rock....and exceptional player
Very cool
awesome
Yes!
I really enjoyed that. Cool dude.
Such a fun song to play
this guy have an INCREDIBLE voice...love his work with Alter Bridge...but i have something to say: COME ON, PLAY THE MARK RIFFS, I KNOW YOU CAN, I REALLY KNOW YOU CAN
Eric Valverde hrs playing a song from his solo album. There are no mark riffs
@@wellyforpm I think he meant get Mark as a guest to teach him a song :)
