Good game at the end. I love the roses winning, but if only France could have produced the same standard in the first sixty minutes as they did in the last twenty, that would have been a match to savour!
Unbelievable finish to an incredible season. Well done ladies, and well done Katy Mclean for her 100% record so far this year of being completely incapable of pronouncing anyone's surname that isn't English.
Breach can run but as a tackler she is woeful and doesn't have the bottle as simple as that ,at international level she is exposed against sides of equal competitiveness. When she started England had the upper hand and her weakness was never exposed
Interestingly, having spent a lot of time fidgeting with the scrumcap over the previous round of this year 6 Nations, Sadia played without it against the French.
That was a good game - for an England fan - but it would have been much, much closer if France hadn't made so many mistakes. France had so many good players who played really well - both Menagers, Escudero, tiny but tough Vernier, and the irrepressible Pauline Bourdon, but the whole team didn't match the same standard. Thanks for posting, although the video standard was not good: the resolution I got was 854x480@25fps, which meant that the players were just unidentifiable blobs when they weren't in a close-up shot. It's the kind of poor quality I've come to expect from UA-cam though.
Help me on this one, please. The disallowed Bourdon Sansus try. If we accept that she did touch it and then her team mate charged it down, wasn't she still offside as she was in front when she tried to gather the ball? I have to admit that I'm rather confused . . .
If Bourdon Sansus touched it, she played it back (albeit unwittingly) to Annaëlle Deshayes , I think , who then would have knocked the ball on. If Bordon Sansus was in an offside position, it would not have mattered, as the try was the result of a knock-on and hence disallowed as well. If that is the case, the only difference would have been the sanction, being a scrum, not a penalty. (Not sure if this is correct but logically, it seems to explain things).
@@AndrewUnderwood-pl1ur Thanks for that. That was my reasoning, too, but the commentators and the players seemed to be suggesting that had Bourdon Sansus touched it and it was then charged down, the try could have been awarded. I didn't see it that way. I might just pass the question on to Nigel Owens and see what he says. Because, as we all know, Nige is the 'man who knows'.
@@rocketrabble6737 What mattters here is that irrespective of whether PBS touches the ball or not, the French 4 (Feleu) is still deemed to have charged the ball down so, either way, PBS is offside.
I do hate to see "box kicks" they rarely achieve anything but give away possession - only a mistake by the opposition yields anything positive. Scrum half for France is easily their best player.
Jess breach can't tackle for toffee, she should not play against a fired up France! Her half hearted tackles led to two french tries, she may look good when ball in hand streaking down the wing, but she might as well not be there in a one to one tackling situation. She tackles to high and seems to have an aversion to tackling opponents around the legs.
I don't agree, his commentary and his knowledge of the game, particularly around the the front rows offers a lot to people such as I who know very little of what goes at the coal face of the game.
When their travelling Top14 club support come over to England they often make noise during their own kicks and stay quiet during the opposition kicks - they respect our ways but follow their own for their teams and on their soil. Seems fair to me.
head and shoulder above all the other players.... AITCHISON PLAYER OF THE MATCH... 6 conversion 12 pts and marshalled the English team from back to front. All the stick she has taken from the media and those USELESS COMMUNTATORS, TO KICK AN 100% MATCH IS HEROIC. Look at what the score would have been without those 12pts .

what a game, a fitting finale to the tournament

Applause for the referee, she did a good job in a 'tetchy' game played in front of a hostile french crowd.
Thank you so much for sharing!

Mistakes come when under pressure, the England girls outplayed them.

If Bourdon did touch it, doesn't that mean that the second French player knocked it on, and Bourdon was then offside, anyway?

Was this the first match in this six nations campaign where we did not have a try from Dow, Kildunne or Breach?
Maggie kept banging on about jeopardy. But if Wales had converted some of their opportunities, they would have given England a closer game.
But they couldn't that's the difference.
Awesome !

Agree, she would be on the bench if jones was fit
Should be MacDonald
Sporting French crowd as usual, disgraceful.
Just boring to film a Mexican wave - better to concentrate on the really good rugby being played by both sides.
55mins 32 sec - Jess Breach needs to learn to tackle..... like Abby, Ellie & Meg
Doesn't tackle,doesn't get shirt dirty
It would be nice to be able to cut Brian Moore out of the commentary. Pity, wish we could.
I don't agree, his commentary and his knowledge of the game, particularly around the the front rows offers a lot to people such as I who know very little of what goes at the coal face of the game.
I like him. He brings expert knowledge and no bs.
French as usual whistle when a kick is being taken at goal. Is this for everybody or just reserved for England?
They're like that all the time. I find it pretty classless.
No courtesy, no sportsmanship. Partisan to an extreme.
