If England are the "bete noire" for the french, it is not for the english to allow the French to catch up, It is for the french to exceed England and hence to catch up. If they can, great for them, if they cannot, "tant pis".
What on earth was the number 2 doing just before England's second try? All she had to do was to accept the ball from Rowlands and pass it to Breach - who wasn't far away, was comfortably behind her, and there was no French player between her and the try-line. Don't they teach forwards not to pass the ball when there's no reason to be tackled?
There is some great rugby played by these ladies. Thoroughly enjoyed that.

Sorry you don't know No 2's name, nor why she gained 50 caps by the age of 25. Only some of us are faultless.
