Unclogging Massive Lake Drain, Worst Clog I Have Ever Seen, Whirlpools Massive

- The reason it takes off at 36 min is because the exit is lower making a vacuum siphon. Just found out what this man made pond was built for, it for cutting out ice blocks before electric refrigerators. This was for the real ice boxes that used a block of ice to keep food fresh
The excitement starts after 19:00 .I was fighting lots of water pressure but I found it easier to just let the leaves pass through by scraping mt feet and the rake back and forth. As I was raking it created an undertow moving crap from the bottom of the lake over instantly and that is what took so long, I gave this my own inspection 5 months back and the grate is safe but the underground pipe is not and It is in the process of failing. The rock I found may have just fallen in. This time I got before and after video of the end. A shovel would not work well for this job so stop commenting that
I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

This man has a deep and complicated bond with drains. Sacrificing dry socks and pants for all of us. A national hero.
He's amazing 🤗
@@Christina...66 And some waders
@Robin Carver hehe, fair enough, I was watching with the sound off while trying to encourage a small human to sleep 😂
Try he's giving 110%. But if the houses in the area helped in the up keep he wouldn't have to work so hard. Just another neighborhood brushing the work off on somebody else. A lot of that happens in the United States lazy ass people.
Can’t see anything complicated at all. 😀 Clogged drain- unclog it. Awesome fellow.
This channel proves that people are attracted to those who are passionate about what they do. We just watched a man passionately unclog a drain for an hour.
@Erika Lewis Yeah I agree, I love the attitude from this man. It's awesome to see people doing something that they enjoy!
People who are passionate about [thing] improves their overall attractiveness. It shows dedication, and I’ll happily learn a new thing or two about the thing that the person is passionate about.
I’d rather be with someone be passionate in a somewhat weird and/or obscure thing then be with someone what isn’t passionate about anything. It adds character too
I only watched 10 minutes of it
I only watched because youtube wouldn't stop recommending it. It's actually interesting to watch, but something with the audio makes me feel like I have water in my ears, which makes my eyes watery. It's a weird sensation that usually makes me stop watching a certain video, but I'll tough it out.
lol wed all probably drive by this pond and not give a shit or notice it, but we watched this like it was nasa level
One man, one rake, one legend. Rake in the lake

This man is a great reminder to all of us who think, "I'm just one person, what can I do?"
I've often fantasised about being Adrian Zmed.
Not all hero’s wear capes, Some wear high visibility safety vests.
If this was Chicago it would be a six-man crew with one man working

which technically is a cape but ok
I laughed really hard at this, ty
Hell com to Tuscaloosa it’ll be 7 and 0 men working

@@allanmuller2869 Consider it a million dollar expense to dredge a drain
thinking the same thing
It would cost my city $30k and 5 useless guys standing around for 3 hours to do what he does for free in less than 1 hour.
I know huh. Amazing guy
Who ever the manufacture of the rake is should be sponsoring him. That rake is a beast.
no doubt.!!!!!!
Somewhere a rake maker held a rake part and a handle part in a machine, as a hydraulic press drove in a rivet, and they put the newly forged rake in the finished pile, not realizing fate was then to deliver it to the Lord of Drainage, the only one worthy enough to wield it.
Post 10 is the beast. The rake is just a tool.
What he really needs though is a new pair of boots
@@papaquonis He has long boots he’s just showing how tough he is here without realising it.
Just a guy and his rake…saving the world….one drain at a time! ❤
There are three things that a man will never tire of watching. Fire burning, water flowing and another man working.
This is oddly.. Correct now that i think of it.

And woman
Ron Swanson, is that you?
Damn, as a woman, I can relate
He said that people’s homes and backyards are actually damaged by this. The simple fact that he goes out of his way regularly to just help people is amazing
And the fact that noone seems to care even though it might cause a highway to collapse someday is just terrifying.
The Scoot yeah and he doesn’t get payed and rarely gets thanked by the ones he helps
The home owners probably don't even know what is happening.
Clearly unintentional ASMR
@@mizzing7938 was wondering why the owners aren't looking for the problem, if my backyard was under water i would start checking out why.
I wonder if these homeowners are like, "Finally the city came out and drained the pond." Little do they know it was a regular citizen doing his best for the community. You keep it up post 10, I wish more had your drive to improve the surrounding areas.
Man if he just went up to the home owners who were effected, and simply had a note "your welcome" and this video URL in a note. Lol he might get some donations.

The commitment that he shows to his mission. He took over an hour of his time to fix a problem that he didn't cause and would most likely not benefit from directly. Few years from now the kid moves away: Headline in local paper. "Worst flooding in local history"
Aha ha ha it’ll happen too
this one at least it shouldnt be an issue, the tunnel collapsed and with the massive risk of a sink hole that caused, he managed to get the DOT to redo it all by, after several attempts to contact them directly, going around them and going to the news
@@rjwaters3 Is there a news story on this?
I like to believe he’s like a Jedi and will pass on the job to his protege.
More likely the headline is "road opens up and swallows cars".
We need to take a moment to recognize the cardio of this dude. This isn't easy work with the weight of debris and water resistance. Yet he does it with minimal cut scenes or breaks. Kudos.
There are people that actually enjoy doing this kind of work. Kudos to them
While I do enjoy this and have been a subscriber from when he started . About 50% of his work is him playing in the water. Gigantic whirlpool behind ya, leaves headed toward the drain @ 50 mph. Have a seat , if it slows , clean it .

I've gone from watching carpets getting cleaned, to seals being rescued from nets, to parasites being removed from shrimps, to drains being unclogged by a lone ranger. I regret nothing.
Edit: for carpets I watch Advanced Cleaning Systems, seals is Ocean Conservation Namibia, and shrimp parasites is Jacob Colvin. I've also started watching bee removals from JPthebeeman, ants living fantastic lives with AntsCanada, and Altai throat singing from VEK (the video, Word of Baatyr. Throat singing, got me hooked). I swear, the internet links me to the strangest, and oddly satisfying, things to watch. I'm here for it though.
Edit again: IDK why, but YT only just started sending me replies for this. For anyone who's interested, the comment chain has some interesting suggestions down there! Cleaning cow hoofs, repairing paintings, barnacles removed from sea turtles, car detailing, ice skating, iceburg seperation, beaver dam removals, guinea pig cleaning; people! I never knew YT could be so interesting! Thank you all for the suggestions, I'm heading to watch some new things soon!
Nice. I am missing the carpet cleaning. Thank you stranger
Watch drain addict next. It’s hilarious
The only one i havent watched is the parasites
There are parasites in shrimps? That i got to see . .
😂 i am just arriving from seals being rescued from nets (channel is called "ocean conservation namibia", trust me you're not going to get disappointed!)
Imagine how much energy can be generated by simply putting a hydroelectric generator underneath drains like this.
Oh hell yeah
Yeah but that generator would have to be maintained. So then you have to put in man hours and pay the wages, then what it all boils down to is you have to make that generator scaled to the point where the effort and money put into it are worth it monetarily. That's why you only really see hydroelectric generators in industrial scale.
@@RabblerouserGT you're totally right, but there is another solution: minimize or remove the maintenance to the point where the energy is worth more than the maintenance. I know it's way easier said than done.
@@starballs2009 I hope we can get to that point soon! I know I've heard about tiny generators that use power from sewage flow but... that would be 🤢 to maintain.
They should just release all the suppressed technologies that make electricity and power overly abundant..
Finally, actual footage of the swamp being drained.
So this is what they mean by that...I had no freakin' idea!!
😄😄😄😄
😂😂😂
Hahahahaha good one!!!
But I didn't see Donald anywhere in this video.
I could watch you work all day.
So hopefully someone from those places you mentioned will have seen this video and seen the damage. Maybe they'll even have done something about the pipe before it completely disintegrated. Please let us know with an update if they actually fixed the pipe.
12am..I don’t even know how I got here, but I have now watched several of his videos, and I love him!!
Same...
Same.. He should have a ton of sponsors!
2 am here. But ya, totally binge watching.
@Job Ruijten hahaha!!! Blasted auto correct. "Binge" not Bing, lol. Sometimes I swear this auto correct is dyslexic.
I get the feeling this guy loves a whirlpool more than the viewers.
And I lov him for that
Hahahaha u right
We love the whirlpools too
Carly N what‘s not to love?
Idk Carly N, nearly 6 million views at this point...I'm sure almost everyone here was itching to see the levee break, so to speak
I just wouldn't watch just anyone unclog a drain. This guy's personality and passion for doing good makes it a joy to watch and listen to him. This is what real heros are made of. ❣️
Since watching this I have watched a few other people's videos not the same at all.
That's for sure
he has that "EVERYBODY GET TO THE SHELTER" type of voice LMAOO i love it , it always feel like were going on an adventure lmao
I was just thinking when the spirit world sees you from above, they see alittle light dancing around in water and go "Look, he's helping people" This is truly sweet.
Can we just take a second to appreciate he only put a single add on this hour long video.
Shadowking1224 he put 5 now
Al I’d watch ten as long as this guy makes the bucks
I got 4
Rip it got 1
who the hell gets ads...its 2020
I never thought I'd shout with glee "There's the whirlpool!!!" What a great guy, out there doing some real good. Inspiring.
Same! I got so excited 😅
This guy doesnt need a gym, all he needs is a drain and a flood to work out
I have never met such enthusiastic people who like one hundred percent what they are doing, regardless of who thinks about them. It deserves a thumbs up
This man accomplished much more than I did today.
Lol 😂👍
That's deep... like a lake...
Santa Claus i needed to hear that. Thank you
"Bet you cant get over 4 million people watch you unclog a lake for an hour."
Him: Hold my rake
That's my favorite comment of every one I've read
Give my rake back, please
Yiu can hold my coffee.
you mean 5 million ; P
But if we’re holding the rake, he can’t unclog the drain.
@@philb6133 So we become the rake
3 hours ago: Why is there a clip of a guy unclogging drains and who the hell would want to watch that?
10 minutes ago: Oooh, here's one that's an hour long. Let me go make some popcorn first!
Lol 😂😂😂😂
Same here
Because it makes people satisfied.
Same here..
It so sastifying.
Hand up if you are here in 2024 watching this fantastic little chap getting balls deep in a muddy drain. 🙋♂️
🙋
🙋👷

2025

There's something very therapeutic about watching a clogged drain open up and all that nasty water just go away. Peace and harmony has been restored. 😁
19:41 "I can't believe nobody else does this.
Lol that's the purest thing I've ever heard. Like dude, everyone can believe that nobody else does this. I love the passion.
I’m worried that I’m about to watch this whole thing.
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣thank you👍🏻🤣😂
JR It was this again. Or debate again. Which would you choose? ❤️
Patricia Foster Oh god, I made it through literally under one minute of that debate. It was excruciating.
Sit tight and get ready for a really weird ride cuz y'know you're gonna watch this whole fucking thing -just like me 🤣🤣🤣
Lol I did. It was so satisfying! 😍
Most people just complain, you actually do something ! Bravo bud !
“I gotta take a few breaks in between that. That’s a lot of work.”
*goes back to work immediately*
Work horse! I like it.
The talky bit was the break😉 I know, I do so also..
Looked like a TON of work!! Must have been draining…. You did GRATE!! :D
Lol, love the puns!
Eyyyyyyy
👍👍
WATER you doing in that lake? That looks absolutely back RAKING.
A hole frat
Post10 is a good man. This is not his job, and when he clears out drains near the road, some drivers get their jollies off by splashing him. Yet he continues to unclog drains, film it, and upload it.
what do you mean it`s not his job? he doesn`t jet payed by the city?
@@momosaku16 nope
He risks his life to do this. What an angel. I hope he is rewarded for his care and diligence 💞
