Hello from Oregon and thanks for the video. Allow me put in my $0.02 lol. Last December I daily drove a OnePlus 6t. It was time for me to upgrade. I originally opted for the Note 10+. Due to the holidays, everyone was sold out. I reluctantly purchased the note 9, feeling like I was settling. Well, now it is March 2020 and I could not be happier with the note 9. In 2018 I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Since then I've had many health issues. Because of the immunotherapy, my rheumatoid arthritis flares up often. I used to draw quite a bit in my free time but am not able to do so. I picked up photography. The camera on this phone is still incredible! The sPen is actually easier for me to use than holding a pencil lol. I am one of the very few people that actually uses the pulse ox feature with Samsung health. I do have to check my heart rate daily. It helps! The phone is pretty good size yes, but it's not uncomfortable. I also use a skin ( dbrand) on my phone. This thing is built like a tank. It's heavy. It feels premium. I have no intention of going to the Note 10+ as of right now. This phone handles everything I throw at it. Multitasking, photo editing, video recording, as well as hours upon hours of screen time with maybe topping off the battery once a day on heavy use. Honestly, I don't see a major need for anything else. Sure, you can "spec junky" compare it on paper all day long, but most of the review videos by other tech review UA-camrs continue to maintain that it's a great phone! The price is dropping quickly. Go get one and then wait for the next jump in Samsung's flagship series. Like the note 9 was and is. You won't be disappointed! Also, headphone jack!!!!! @@jg14gerhard_bar Having a heart rate moniter on the back has aboutly nothing to do with the fingerprint scanner also being on the back. The S5, S6 and S7 had fingerprint readers on the front home button and still had the heart rate moniter on the back.

So.... Yeah
Wow! What an Amazing video! Totally agree, making it difficult to add anymore comments. When I received my Android 10 update from T-mobile it was like getting a new device. ThankYou for covering how special it is still. I have not used all of the new features, but am overjoyed when I stumbled upon them. Love the improved NightMode. Love the new and additional S-Pen features. Yes, I still use the HeadPhoneJack daily, and have tried to go Bluetooth ending in frustration over having to remember that it requires to be charged. I know it could be possible for the HeadPhoneJack to make a return (the new Note10Lite), and would be excited if it happened. I have accepted that the Note9 might just be the last great flagship. Although I am curious about the new upcoming Note20Ultra5G. I won't be replacing my Note9 for it still supersedes my needs. Maybe replacing with Note21Ultra, but I do not see it for now. #OceanBlueCrew
I'm planning to buy a note 9 because it has the essential features that I'd want from a phone specially the headphone jack because most phones being released this year do not house the headphone jack anymore and I just really love the symmetrical design of this phone and the way it looks I mean sure it has bezels but those bezels can really help when you are playing or using the phone in landscape mode because you do not accidentally touch the corners of the phone, and the stereo speakers is definitely a plus for me.
Still rocking my Note 9, and will keep it for a while. I also have an iPhone XS Max from work, but I find that I enjoy viewing UA-cam and other media way more on the 9. Coincidentally, my son was born on August the 9th the same time the Note 9 was announced. His name is Ocean Blue (my two other kids have water names) like my phone.

So here's my Story. I Loved the Note 9 at first sight & decided I "HAD" to have one. I purchased my first one used from Amazon, and found out it had a defect that blocked it from receiving SMS messages, I kept it for 3 months then decided to return it and use the refund to purchase another one Renewed through Amazon. I waited excitedly for it to arrive. When it did I discovered it was a Fake Note 9. To Amazon's credit as soon as I told them it was fake they issued an immediate refund, which I used to purchase a Note 9 from Samsung instead of Amazon. It cost more, but came before it was scheduled and I fell in Love with this phone. Now the 10 and the 20 have come out. I still have my Note 9. I Won't lie & say I haven't thought of upgrading to the Note 20 Ultra but i doubt if I will because I Absolutely Love❣ the Note 9. It just fits me. Shout out to Samsung for making the Perfect Phone. Note 9 Rocks.
Still using my Galaxy Note 9 500GB HDD / 8GB RAM and it still looks brand spanking new. Pre-ordered it and put it in a great case with tempered glass protection. This thing is still a beast in 2020.
@Lord Vader:--No Darth you are. I ain't changing my phone. Dropped mine countless times but no issues at all. I seen all these shattered glass backed from friends and colleagues. No. Not for me. Removable battery. Now with wireless charge. Remote controller. Head phone jack. Fairly good s pen. Gets the job done. Nah. Maybe next year. Maybe. Otherwise Note 4 is king. Can't beat this.
First of all, I love your channel. I saw the launching of the Note10 and... bought a Note 9. It was half the price and honestly, the core differences are little. Basically the ultra wide camera. Apart from that, I don't care the others, like the Spen gestures. And hate some downgrades (like the loss of 3.5 jack). Until now I'm very happy with my purchase. I think I'll upgrade only in 2021. Or 2022! Beast of a phone. In a sense, the last true Note.
Honestly, it's silly to upgrade every 6 ~ 12 months. It's best to upgrade every 2 or 3 years realistically. The Galaxy Note 9 is what I got my mom to upgrade her phone from the Galaxy S8 Plus after she dropped it and pretty much destroyed the screen. So I got her the Otterbox Defender Pro case along with the Otterbox Alpha Glass screen protector and it's been very well protected since I got it for her. Of course I also got her a 256 GB microSD Samsung memory card as well. 8:36 Oh wow. I wasn't aware that Samsung phones only gets 2 major updates to its OS. So basically you really need to upgrade every 2 years. I guess in that regard, I'm a bit spoiled since I personally use iPhone. But I upgrade every 3 or more years. Right now I'm on the iPhone 7 Plus. I think this is one aspect that Apple does right. I like how Apple supports older phones with the newest iOS update for years and years. You typically pay more for an iPhone, but if you consider that you're going to upgrade every 2 years as opposed to 3 or 4 years with an iPhone, you do get more value with the iPhone. I hope that this year's iPhone line up is good. I think it's about time I finally upgrade. Is there word on when the Galaxy Note 20 will be coming?
I loved my note 5 , great phone with a flat screen, but got water damaged lol , or I probably would still have it , I love my note 9 but I hate curved screens
Iris sensor coming in clutch during these times. I had the Note 8 and worked perfectly with masks, hats, coverings galore. The 20U, was somehow able to do with face but no go with hats lol
Honestly the only thing I wish I had was the backwards charging since I use my galaxy buds daily. This isn't enough to make me swap from my note 9 though
I'm still using my Note 9, right now watching this. My headphones are plugged into the headphone jack, charging. Every time I'm tempted to upgrade, I remember the hassle of charging headphones other ways😊
Planning to upgrade to Note 20 from my Note 9 for New 120 Hz refresh rate In display fingerprint sensor /old style finger print scanner feels boring now Punch Hole display Better battery optimization and fast charging Obviously New snapdragon/Android 11 8GB ram from my previous 6GB Ram Improved Spen And Mostly Note 9 lacks ultrawide camera would like to upgrade for 3 camera module (Will miss Headphone jack)
Rocking note 9 and I don't have intention to change it for now! I have it almost a year and before I was iPhone fan, but NOTE is a hell of a phone! Keep rocking! :)
The screen on the note 9 has a higher PPI in the 10 and the note 20 although the note 20 ultra has a faster. And the non ultra version only has 1080. That being said if we can keep gettingsoftware updates like they should do for five years on the note 9 it would still be the best phone. But right now it's still competes and wins in many ways.
I've had an S8 Active since launch. The GPS/Bluetooth have started to crap out on me, after 3 years of this phone, I just bought a refurbished Note 9 from Amazon... arrives in a few days. I'm hype
I have a note 8,9 and 10. Note 9 is still a beast tbh. My Note 8 is pretty weak now but my note 10 is the best. Now only waiting for the Note 20 😍 Shout out to all the Note lovers 🥰
bought it in 2018, within couple of months of its release , price here was the lowest in UAE . it was original , intact & sealed . after 2 years of intense use , notes , movies , Netflix, office , emails , infinite apps , trips , photos , videos .. this felt like a complete phone & still fast reliable and doesn't feel outdated yet . i upgraded from Samsung s7 edge , now as 2 years passed i thought about iPhone 11 but long time hooked to android and resent launch of Samsung's note 20 ultra , i am sticking on to Samsung .
I just got a note 9 used from S.Korea. Like in years now and I’m hoping to hold on to it for the next two years at least before giving it away for my Dad or sister. Nathy all the way from Ethiopia.
My blue 512GB Note9 arrives this Thursday :) I don't care for software updates so am super excited and there's no downsides to it really. Kept my S5 for 5 years, will keep Note9 for at least 5 :p
I got my note 9 via a promotional contract 2 years ago and I am still rocking it to this day :) The only thing I want to complain about is that there aren't many cases to choose from locally. I have to import them via Aliexpress.
Honestly the haptic feedback button under the screen on the note 9 literally is my favorite feature. Was mad they took it out of the note 10 but I understand with the fingerprint
I'm planning to upgrade to N9 from my N8 (which I still love) this week. Thanks for the video; it gave me some good information about my upcoming purchase!!!
There is a problem that camera pro video was taken from us .... because of the Samsung new products ... and in samsung camera can take video 60fps only with the native app ... meaning you can’t use 60fps with Filmic pro or other application ... and about bixby 😅 I hate it ,, I hope they will update to UI 2.1 the video camera pro ,, if not I’m planning to switch the iPhone because I have older iPhone 6s Plus device and still getting updates and software features
I love my note 9 I have had it over a year and its held up great! first galaxy phone and I dont plan on switching anytime soon. Unless something comes out and really catches my eye I will be using the note 9 till it dies!
Using my note 9 for the last 8 months.. and believe me...it's a marvelous piece of art... really happy to have it... don't thinking of changing my phone in the near future...
Just got my Note9 2 months ago, upgraded from an S8+, love the Note9 so far, I know it'll never get any serious updates but still a device that I'm gonna use for a couple of years.
@@Chill..... Yea I check manually a few times a week. And that's nothing new, I had an S8+ for over 2yrs and maybe got 1 or 2 updates. Samsung isn't big on updating their devices often.
I love my note 9 (8/512). I bought it less than a year ago and literally wouldn't change a thing other than having the ultra-wide and say a 10x zoom camera. But that's it. I like the headphone jack and this obsession with screen to body ratio is ridiculous. I have no lag or slowdown issues like like I did with previous phones and even with heavy use I easily make it a full 15 hours before I have to charge. I even have found the rear fingerprint scanner to be better overall than a front scanner. Now that UI 2.1 is coming to the Note 9, giving me quick share, I can't imagine what "killer app" they could add that would persuade me to buy a new phone. With older phones, it was always a speed and lack of RAM and storage problem that forced me to upgrade. So far this has not been a problem with the note 9. Since that is the case, One thing Samsung could do that would really make a lot of people happy is offer upgrades to newer OSes on a fee basis. I think that would also be a good thing for Samsung too, because it would slow down the precipitous drop in value of these flagship phones, thereby making the purchase of a new one a better deal. Changing phones is a huge deal for me mostly due to the time investment of having to customize the new phone and login to my hundreds of apps for the first time every time I upgrade. It's a real pain I don't look forward to at all. So I'm keeping my Note 9 as long as I can.
Rocking Galaxy Note 9 buying it last december, honestly for me this is one of the best phones all time no notch, stereo speakers, A+ Display, big battery, headphone jack, great cameras, bluetooth spen, IP cert, wireless charging etc, for me it can still go toe to toe with the latest and greatest phone that will come definitely will hold on to this Bad boy.
Still using the note 9. I think it's the last flagship phone to include everything I want in a smartphone. Of course it doesn't do everything perfect, but it does most everything well.
I had the note 9 when the first came out had the Note 10 and now got the Galaxy s20 Ultra and I can tell you first-hand I'm thinking about buying the note 9 again just to have a note. that phone is that good and even better since the one UI update
I am still using right from 2 years back when I purchased it and it still is rocking with the kinds of updates and everything. No doubt..the best and I do not want to upgrade.
I bought mine 13 months ago and I just got the One UI 2.1 update and it's a monster of a phone honestly Fast performance, great battery life, great camera, excellent build quality, endless customization (unfortunately GoodLock is not available in my country ;) ), ton of features and honestly great value. I bought it brand new at a discount for 600$ (128 GB model) The numbers have faded since a new generation of phones has come out but it's still a great experience and it even has things that newer ones don't (no notch or punch hole, headphone jack, heart rate monitor, iris scanner and I especially love the feature to pull down the notifications with the fingerprint scanner at the back, makes seeing notifications really easy) I don't recommend that people upgrade unless they eat and sleep technology, and if you want to buy a fast, well built, feature packed, customizable phone then it's still great Honestly it's the best phone I ever had and I don't plan to upgrade until at least 2022 (unless god forbid something happened), most likely to another Note.

Didn't know my Note 9 had a heart beat/stress sensor! Lol. It's still an excellent phone today.
an advantage to having a proper rear mounted sensor.
@@jg14gerhard_bar Having a heart rate moniter on the back has aboutly nothing to do with the fingerprint scanner also being on the back. The S5, S6 and S7 had fingerprint readers on the front home button and still had the heart rate moniter on the back.
It has sensor (greenish light) for Blood Pressure measure. But it's need a app namely My BP Lab.
@@reecegerhardt7598 whats weird is that on note 5 you just lightly touch the button but on note 9 you have to slide your finger downwards, thus resulting in going backwards with this outdated method, seriously even the first phone with the fingerprint scanner you had to slide your finger downwards and this was a phone from 2004!!!
So.... Yeah
@@SarananMajilya how does a sensor read blood pressure?
3:04 Note 9+ ? Lol that's how you know Samsung makes too many models (great video btw)
Complete verbal diarrhea lol
I caught that to just wanted to see if anyone else did 😂
Well, the phone is +!
When the note 9 came out it raised the bar a lot for other companies
Thanks to you I got my note 9 for about $450 and I am loving it!
In which site did u got for 450 dollars
@@anilkumarmaddipati9767 I got it on a local store in my country. I live in the Dominican republic.

Using note 9 since 2018 , the beast still gets the job done. In my opinion, it is the most complete note ever made by Samsung.
Thanks for Confirming that my Note 9 is the Best!! I still love it. if the one I have died, I'd buy another one. but it will be cheaper now...LOL
Just upgraded my s8+ to the note 9, glad to hear so many positive reviews of the phone.
I just bought a note 9 on eBay for $300. Huge upgrade from my Blu g9 budget phone I've been using. Excited for it to get here
@Austin Barnes Wow a good price please. send me a link of where i can get a clean cheap flagship smartphone.. Planning to upgrade to something decent.. Please help

Austin, how is it the N9
is everything okay with you?
I mean I bought the note 9 in december 2019 so yeah, it's worth it...
Still using my Galaxy Note 9 500GB HDD / 8GB RAM and it still looks brand spanking new. Pre-ordered it and put it in a great case with tempered glass protection. This thing is still a beast in 2020.
Getting a phone in...
6 months - Rich
1 year - Nice
2 years - Good
3 years - Must do
4 years - Whats wrong with you
5 years - Hello... Wakie Wakie
Perfect!
That depends on what phone you use. Iphones and pixels get updates for a long time. So it makes sense to use them for a longer period of time.
@Lord Vader:--No Darth you are. I ain't changing my phone. Dropped mine countless times but no issues at all. I seen all these shattered glass backed from friends and colleagues. No. Not for me. Removable battery. Now with wireless charge. Remote controller. Head phone jack. Fairly good s pen. Gets the job done. Nah. Maybe next year. Maybe. Otherwise Note 4 is king. Can't beat this.
My Samsung from 2013 still works perfect lol, except for the fact that it doesn't support WiFi anymore 😂👍
Edit: but now I have a Galaxy A70
@@kaushikassagur769 Your sumsung from 2013 does not work perfect. It does not support WiFi anymore.
The camera has aged pretty bad but the rest (maybe excluding the bezels) still feels like the N9 was released yesterday
Just purchased brand new note 9 for $450 with accessories!!!... It will be delivered on Monday yayyy!!!

Oh wow.
It's more than likely coming this fall, possibly late summer. All we can do is wait
Best thing I bought in 2018, my NOTE 9.,,still Loving it..
I have a note 5, I'm interested in upgrading to the note9
I freaking loved my Note5 yeah it's a nice upgrade and it will hold up well.
I moved from a Note 5 to a 10 plus. You will Luv a 10+.
I loved my note 5 , great phone with a flat screen, but got water damaged lol , or I probably would still have it , I love my note 9 but I hate curved screens
Have got the Note 5 and 9, which is a fantastic upgrade.
@@CT-mo5cs This is about the Note 9 and the value in 2020.
Just this week alone I've discovered features I didn't know I had on my Note 9! Super stoked right now!🥰
That’s amazing! Hopefully I helped you out a little bit 😉
@@OT4Tech you definitely did! Thank you!
I'm thinking about grabbing a Note9 myself. I'm actually still running my Note8.
Same here!! I'm stuck in between grabbing the note 9, one plus 7pro or Samsung Galaxy 10s plus. Someone help! I can't make my mind up lmao
Emmanuel Otto Buy a note 9. You will not regret it.
I still don.t think its worth it changing note 8 pratically the same ..only if you need more storage and bluetooth on the s pen..
Iris sensor coming in clutch during these times. I had the Note 8 and worked perfectly with masks, hats, coverings galore. The 20U, was somehow able to do with face but no go with hats lol
Facts. The iris scanner is definitely shining right now.
Planning to upgrade to Note 20 from my Note 9 for
New 120 Hz refresh rate
In display fingerprint sensor /old style finger print scanner feels boring now
Punch Hole display
Better battery optimization and fast charging
Obviously New snapdragon/Android 11
8GB ram from my previous 6GB Ram
Improved Spen
And Mostly Note 9 lacks ultrawide camera would like to upgrade for 3 camera module
(Will miss Headphone jack)
The in screen finger print is terrible I had the s10 i had to sell it
Rocking note 9 and I don't have intention to change it for now! I have it almost a year and before I was iPhone fan, but NOTE is a hell of a phone! Keep rocking! :)
it still much better than the iphone 11 pro max
its a real phone
This Is A Great Video 💯
I Was Looking For This Video & You Did 😄
Waaaait i didnt know about that blood oxygen and heart beat sensor
I LOVE my NOTE 9 for my toy photography, I'm hooked with this one 🍻🍻
The keyboard warrior was me
Don't be proud
The screen on the note 9 has a higher PPI in the 10 and the note 20 although the note 20 ultra has a faster. And the non ultra version only has 1080. That being said if we can keep gettingsoftware updates like they should do for five years on the note 9 it would still be the best phone. But right now it's still competes and wins in many ways.
FYI: Samsung confirmed that note 9 will get android 11 update.
Yep they announced it after I made this video
I've had an S8 Active since launch. The GPS/Bluetooth have started to crap out on me, after 3 years of this phone, I just bought a refurbished Note 9 from Amazon... arrives in a few days. I'm hype
I have a note 8,9 and 10. Note 9 is still a beast tbh. My Note 8 is pretty weak now but my note 10 is the best. Now only waiting for the Note 20 😍
Shout out to all the Note lovers 🥰
Honestly I was taken back by how good the Note 9 still is
Kudos mate! Note users are loyal. Unique phone.
Please bless me with the weak one 🙏
bought it in 2018, within couple of months of its release , price here was the lowest in UAE .
it was original , intact & sealed .
after 2 years of intense use , notes , movies , Netflix, office , emails , infinite apps , trips , photos , videos ..
this felt like a complete phone & still fast reliable and doesn't feel outdated yet .
i upgraded from Samsung s7 edge , now as 2 years passed i thought about iPhone 11 but long time hooked to android and resent launch of Samsung's note 20 ultra , i am sticking on to Samsung .
Note 9 user with 14 h screen time 😅 Running like a beast 🥳😈
Have been holding a note 9 since 2018.....planning to upgrade in end of year 2022
I'm still using Note 9
I bought it 2 months ago
I just got a note 9 used from S.Korea. Like in years now and I’m hoping to hold on to it for the next two years at least before giving it away for my Dad or sister. Nathy all the way from Ethiopia.

The only thing I want to complain about is that there aren't many cases to choose from locally. I have to import them via Aliexpress.
Just ordered a note 9. After having the note8 since release. And I kinda prefer the option of headphone jacks and SD cards 🤷🏾♂️😁
For me the only big difference between them is the s pen with bluetooth ,and storage..so for everyday yse the note 8 does almost the same as note 9...
Honestly the haptic feedback button under the screen on the note 9 literally is my favorite feature. Was mad they took it out of the note 10 but I understand with the fingerprint
I think the haptic engine is more reliable than the fingerprint scanner lol.
Just purchased mine up for £230. Just waiting for it to arrive. Really excited!
I am using my Note 9 right this second. Awesome device
I'm planning to upgrade to N9 from my N8 (which I still love) this week. Thanks for the video; it gave me some good information about my upcoming purchase!!!
Almost the same, except for the s pen and storage
The Note 20 just came out and I'm still considering a Note 9!
Great phone and good deals on ebay...
Bought mine in 2018 and plan on keeping it as long as possible. Retina scanner, headphone Jack and rear print scanner I will miss.

@@mikebryant8284 idk man that's just weird the last time i update my note 9 was at 26 March
I just bought n9 today! Was on s10+, but i notices better pic quality on n9 over s10, period! Really love this phone, from display to everything else.
I am definately going to buy one this year. In the next few months to be exact.
I am still using right from 2 years back when I purchased it and it still is rocking with the kinds of updates and everything. No doubt..the best and I do not want to upgrade.
I bought mine 13 months ago and I just got the One UI 2.1 update and it's a monster of a phone honestly
Fast performance, great battery life, great camera, excellent build quality, endless customization (unfortunately GoodLock is not available in my country ;) ), ton of features and honestly great value. I bought it brand new at a discount for 600$ (128 GB model)
The numbers have faded since a new generation of phones has come out but it's still a great experience and it even has things that newer ones don't (no notch or punch hole, headphone jack, heart rate monitor, iris scanner and I especially love the feature to pull down the notifications with the fingerprint scanner at the back, makes seeing notifications really easy)
I don't recommend that people upgrade unless they eat and sleep technology, and if you want to buy a fast, well built, feature packed, customizable phone then it's still great
Honestly it's the best phone I ever had and I don't plan to upgrade until at least 2022 (unless god forbid something happened), most likely to another Note.
Just got the note 9 had the s10+ sadly lost it in NYC on my son's bday....but this phone is great feels good fast and your vids really helps with set up only bad this had to due like 11 updates to get caught up 😂
