@@binaifermmogal If you're upgrading from the Galaxy S9+, definitely go for the Note 10+. Note 9 is great but it's basically the phone you already have with an s-pen, while Note 10+ has new features and a new design.
Any Samsung device from Galaxy 8 series or later is good for at least 2 years, if not 3 (after that support drops lol). It shouldn't even be a consideration to upgrade a 1000 dollar phone after only a year of usage. It's dumb as hell to do.
Watching this video on my Note9. Even though I'm the type that always wants to upgrade as soon as the next "latest and greatest" phone comes out I just can't pull the trigger because my Note9 does everything well and still works flawlessly. At this rate, I'll be getting the Note12 or whatever they call it by then.
Thanks for the review, I just bought a used Note 9 to upgrade from my old Note 3. Boy, what a shock, I feel like I just jumped into the future!! Oviously, I'm a little tech slow, but I enjoyed my Note 3 untill many of my apps just didn't work anymore. Well, thanks again and see you in the next video.
I was considering upgrading but I actually us the headphone Jack. When my wireless headsets die I dont want to wait for them to charge back up. So I have wired headphones with me just for that.
I also think it's not worth the upgrade from the note 9. However, that is true for almost every new phone. Flagships are so good these days that upgrading every year is unnecessary and is bound to only bring small benefits. For anyone coming from the note 8 or similar, the note 10 offers far better value.
If you're due for an upgrade then the Note 10 is a great choice, but if you want to pay half the price for a good note experience, note 9 is also a great choice
Great video! I just got the Note 9 last week. I want a headphone jack (I have nice Bose earbuds) I don't want to purchase expensive wireless earbuds that you have to charge up too. Ugh. I don't care about the front facing selfie camera either. This phone is awesome! The camera takes spectacular pictures!
If I have to use wireless earphones because nothing else is possible, and those earphones are running out of battery while I am traveling and I would like to switch to earphones with cable and mic to continue but that is not possible? Then I know what to choose: The Galaxy Note 9. This is another reason: With wireless earphones you can only use the Phone Recorder with the built-in Mic of the Phone, but not via the Mic in the earphones, while you can use the recorder via the earphones with cable, the Mic in the cable on the recorder with the phone in your inner pocket is no problem.
If you're ok with the Note 10 Plus size, then go for it instead of the Note 10, you're probably used to great image quality and QHD+ screens are way better than 1080p
@@stathisscaniaAnd if I want to listen to music or call in with earphones while loading, what then? With the Galaxy Note 9 I can do this together, without using battery-consuming wireless earphones.
I owed all of the notes. Note 9 is the one that I will stick to for a longer while. It just ticks all the boxes and there is no reason to upgrade to 10+ Bottom line is that it's a very capable phone and I seriously can't justify spending over $1k for Samsung's new offering.
Note 9 owner! Bought in 2018 and it's still great in 2020. The one ui updates work well on it. Best phone I've had in my life. I was an iphone user for many years but I really love the Note 9. 👍
I'm upgrading from galaxy S8 and I'm getting a 400eur ($440) discount on the phone due to pre-order discount, trade in of my older Samsung device, and 24 month contract discount. So I'm basically - I'm getting it for 700 bucks. which is really not that bad. (would never pay 1100 for it lol.. not worth it.)
I appreciate your opinion. I have a Note 9 that I have been very happy with for 2 years. I am considering upgrading to the Note 10 plus. The 10 doesn't interest me. While I get your points about no major improvements, some things have caught my attention. My phone is slowing down some. And, the more powerful processor and 12GB of RAM raises an eyebrow. And, I can get a very good trade in for my phone. So, the difference in my monthly cost would be minimal. So, I haven't made my mind up yet. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I'm still using Note 2, but as someone already say "update ruined it"!!! Now i'm looking for the newer model, and i too think that Note 9 is a way better deal!!!
You missed also a huge technology leap between the two notes due to missing features in note 10 compared to note 9 : quick optic finger print sensor (compared to slow unsafe in display sensor of note 10), eye scanner in front panel, stereo speakers in note 9.
Ive just bought the Samsung Galaxy note9 (used to have the OnePlus 7 Pro) and yes soke may see it as a downgrade in some ways but that headphone jack is so useful to me, I use wireless dony headphones and when they die I can just plug them in with an aux as I have autism and struggle with noise and I only got this phone a few days ago and the headphone jack has been used a lot of time time if that's within the car or my headphones. The S-Pen is truly brilliant, I love using it and also the Note9 works a hell of a lot better with the Galaxy watch.
@@jbrei713 I know there wasnt... But thanks for informing many out there that might have looked up a Note 6 and discovered no such thing... Just a white lie.. The note 7 should have been the Note 6 I guess..
For those curious as to the literal differences: Literal pros (note 10+): 1. Less blue light emission (37.5% to be exact than the note 9 (people with glasses rejoice)) 2. UF 3.0 3. F2F (faster read speeds?) 4. AR features (like AR doodle) 5. 3D scanning 6. Improved camera (general shots) 7. Display is arguably tougher (mr.whosetheboss dud a durability test so you can use s9 and s10 as benchmarks) 8. 25 watts of charging (45 for the plus) 9. Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor 10. Air gestures 11. Pdf files conversion to word from notes (unless you take a lot of notes or do a lot of office 365 word. It may not matter). 12. Better optical stabilization (different from improved camera which just talks about average shots) 13. HDR 10+ (?) 14. Better cooling 15. 7nm chip so it'll be faster 16. It'll receive android updates and security updates longer and faster. 17. Starts out with 256 instead of the note 9's128 with sd storage. 18. 12 gigs of ram for your heavy gaming or 4k pleasures. 19. Higher screen resolution not that it matters on that device but hey, it's there. 20. A more recent snapdragon/exynos chip. More efficient. 21. Trade in value will be higher than note 9 and will become obsolete in less time (sooner). 22. More screen. Marginally bigger, so video, gaming, and work will be more pleasing. 23. Possibility in getting rid of Bixby in settings. 24. Lasts longer (albeit marginally but hey, it's there) 25. Zoom in audio with camera (highly convenient) 26. Power share. 27. Wireless DeX is possible 28. Better speakers (obsolete if you never use your phone for listening but they are good). 29. Increased haptic feedback so USFC works more often 30. 10 hours of life on the spen with a 6 min charge. 31. Wide angel lens 32. Depth sensor and ToF sensor 33. Runs 1308 nits, this is 25% brighter than the note 9 34. Lowest screen reflectance. 3.4% meaning it's visually more appealing to look at. Although this is marginal so you would most likely not even notice. 36. DeX. note 9 9nly supports DeX on monitors not pcs like the note 10 line. 37. I think that's it though. Note 9: 1. Has a headphone jack 2. It's cheaper 3. Iris scanning (yes people actually care about this). 4. More ppi (just has lower screen resolution. PP is still important) 5. That's honestly....it. Note 9 is still a good phone but those are the primary pro differences between the 2. please keep in mind all of these features may not matter to everyone. It's just pointing out most if not all the differences. *HUGE DISCLAIMER* : Also a 499 note 9 exists on amazon but that is AT&T locked and even then it's bugg. There's a reason the reviews are a bit low (please be careful when buying). Most low note 9 prices are locked renewed carrier phones. For example a Verizon locked renewed phone is 469. Hope this helps in someone's purchase decision.
Very good info. I ordered my NOTE 10+ 5G. I do think it's worth it and plus EE is giving some awesome add ons like BT Sports App and Unlimited video streaming without affecting date here in UK.

Same, I was sold after handling a 10+ unit in best buy. It makes my note 9 feel like a brick weight wise. Snappier too and the cameras are much better along with the speakers.
My note 9 is still the best, drops while riding on my bike several times but still alive and also accidentally drop on the pool but still works what can you ask for, its worth a lot for me compare to all other phones.
Only a $50 difference, but the note 9 has a larger screen and a larger battery than the normal note 10, the note 10 downgraded the battery from 4K milliamp to 3500. If you want an upgrade from the note 9 you have to buy the note 10 plus.
Hey thanks for that info. Because I was going to upgrade from my note 9 to the note 10 plus, but after this video I think I'll save my money. Besides, I really enjoy my 9.👍🏾
Since I just got a Note 10+ not even a week ago this video isn't really relevant to me at all, I guess it's good to know many people still use their Note 9 - or Note 8 - though and they have zero problems with it. I'm one of those people that really doesn't like getting a new phone every 1-2 new years, so this is useful information.
I fell in love with the Note series from the Note 3... and I stuck with it until now... my mom gifted me the Note 9... and I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT... except for the fact that Samsung Galaxy removed the remote control option.... but I can't complain... I guess they made up for that with the 100's of other options you get instead.
If u already have the Note 9 don't upgrade to the note 10 because s11 is right around the corner and it comes with amazing new hardware and new camera lens
yeah but note customers want note phones. we don't care for the S line. so either they get the note 11, which i recommend or if they can't wait, the note 10 plus
You can grab a Note 9 for under $350 Amazon renewed. Got mine last week, it's practically a new phone. Battery estimated at 3,900mAh. I also added a 5,000mAh battery case as well. It already took a tumble down a flight of stairs, shattered the screen protector but the phone is still spotless. So it is living up to the durability of the LG V20 it replaced. And the Note9's S-pen got all the Note10's features too. And the performance, man, night and day difference compared to my old 4 year old phone. I can play games I couldn't do well before. I'm still not sold on Samsung's camera software, I'm really still used to the granular control that the V20 gave me.
Watching this on my note 9 which I bought this year for 12,000 pesos (second hand) and I feel like it is perfect for my mom. This is what I am looking for a phone. Wide screen, curved edges, no punch hole, can unlock using eyes or face, and has a finger print unlock located at the back of the phone. This iz my first time owning a samsung phone and I waz so amazed. The only thing that's lacking to me is camera quality so I decided to give this to my mom when she comes home and swap my current Oppo phone into a note 10 plus. I went back to the store where I bought my note 9 to buy their note 10 plus but I think the units were refurbished since the camera quality of note 9 was way better but the price is almost times 2 of this note 9. This is my dream phone but since I need a better camera for my job, I have to give up the finger print at the back and the no punch hole. I hope I can find a smooth second hand note 10 plus just like the note 9 I have.
I have the Note 9. Great phone in all aspects: performance, battery life. The software has been recently update it. The screen is great as well. So I'm in love with it.
My Note 9 is the best phone I've ever had. Really don't want to lose my headphone jack and plus I've already have the Note 10 upgrades. Kinda don't see the point of upgrading.
I just ordered a Note 10, the screen size was the motivator. But for the first time in my note life I am not eager in anyway like what happened when I moved from Note 3 to 4 or 4-5. Even note 8 to note 9 was not all of that. I am keeping my note 9 as a b phone
4:45 it doesn't check all the boxes, I have a note 9 and lack of infrared sensor is bothering me a little, because in my daily tasks would've been useful, if next note gets infrared and Jack again, that would make a complete business device.

Waiting for

Thank you for convincing me that the Note 10+ is an amazing phone. So I pre-ordered one.
😆😂🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍 Watch when those software updates come for the Note 10+ 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
@@deletechannel6922 Software updates are always overrated! 🤪🤪🤪🤪
@@Gadgetonomy Okay. 😁
He didn’t give one reason to stick with the Note 9
Ok then now I'll tell you why you should upgrade to note10+
1. Additional of ultra wide camera
You will fell in love with it
2. Better picture quality from telephoto lens because of the wide apparatu
3. Excellent haptic feedback ( even better than apple)
4. Fast wire and wireless charging
5. Reverse fast wireless charging
6. HDR10+ display
You will fell in love with the display . You will not notice in the short glimps , you have to use more
7. More base storage and increase in RAM
8. Convenient DEX support
9. Better front and back camera for live focus (B&W)
10. Party trick from s pen :D
I am deciding buying either Note 9 or 10plus as I have samsung 9 plus. Which should I buy.
@@binaifermmogal If you're upgrading from the Galaxy S9+, definitely go for the Note 10+. Note 9 is great but it's basically the phone you already have with an s-pen, while Note 10+ has new features and a new design.
@@reecegerhardt7598 thanks so much for your advice. Now I know which to buy as it will be with me for a long time.🙏🙏🙏
@@binaifermmogal No problem! I also upgraded early this year from my S9+ to a Note 10+ because I just couldn't wait and it's a phenomenal phone.
The only thing missing from the note 9 is a wide and ultra wide lens on the camera
Point 6 says it all. I'm a Note 9 user and I'm wondering who the hell Samsung was targeting with the gimmicky features.
I agree 100%
Thumbs up. I’m keeping my Note 9 for another year.
Any Samsung device from Galaxy 8 series or later is good for at least 2 years, if not 3 (after that support drops lol). It shouldn't even be a consideration to upgrade a 1000 dollar phone after only a year of usage. It's dumb as hell to do.
1:33 "mute point"?
It's "Moot" as in your point is moot
Dongles bro. Dongles.
just plug in your wireless headphones everytime u get in your car
I also think it's not worth the upgrade from the note 9. However, that is true for almost every new phone. Flagships are so good these days that upgrading every year is unnecessary and is bound to only bring small benefits. For anyone coming from the note 8 or similar, the note 10 offers far better value.
If you're due for an upgrade then the Note 10 is a great choice, but if you want to pay half the price for a good note experience, note 9 is also a great choice
That's true! It's a pretty good deal right now!
i bought it, but i also upgraded from the Note8. It's pretty awesome lol. Great video
Smart
I'm planning to upgrade to the Note 10 from my S8, which I consider to be a huge upgrade.
Must watch jerry rig everything's video
You will get idea
If I have to use wireless earphones because nothing else is possible, and those earphones are running out of battery while I am traveling and I would like to switch to earphones with cable and mic to continue but that is not possible?
Then I know what to choose:
The Galaxy Note 9.
This is another reason:
With wireless earphones you can only use the Phone Recorder with the built-in Mic of the Phone, but not via the Mic in the earphones, while you can use the recorder via the earphones with cable, the Mic in the cable on the recorder with the phone in your inner pocket is no problem.
@@ronaldjacobs8169 Note 10/10 Plus have USB-C earphones included, AKG tuned too, they probably sound as greatly as Note9's
Keeping my note 9 512. Didn't see anything in the note 10 that was "better". Thanks for the video.
Excelsior you spoke the truth has so many people have commented that's why I waited almost two years to get a note 9 practically brand new.
its not always about the phone... it will always up to us... who are not contented of what we have... 🤔
True indeed
I owed all of the notes. Note 9 is the one that I will stick to for a longer while. It just ticks all the boxes and there is no reason to upgrade to 10+
Bottom line is that it's a very capable phone and I seriously can't justify spending over $1k for Samsung's new offering.
Using note 9. It is the best phone I have ever used. Great and honest video man. Awsome job 👍👍👍👍
Still have my Galaxy Note 5 and man has that phone done me some good over the years, definitely gonna put some consideration in purchasing a Note 9.
Note 9 owner! Bought in 2018 and it's still great in 2020. The one ui updates work well on it. Best phone I've had in my life. I was an iphone user for many years but I really love the Note 9. 👍
I do love my note 9 but after handling the 10+ I like it a lot. Also with $650 trade in for my 9 plus $150 in Samsung Accessories it's a nice upgrade.
Cute little squirrel debut running in the background!
you can't got wrong either way probably the two best phones
I'll add two points you didn't mention. Power button switched to other side and the finger print scanner. I like the scanner being on the back.
Excellent comment. Go to the head of the class!
Finally a smart reviewer great video subbed note 9 last of mohicans 3.5 DeX no notch cheaper still great
I love my Note9.. I still preordered a Note10+. Great Video!
lol me too
Note 10 + does seem like an upgrade while the note 10 doesn't really with stuff like a smaller battery than the note 9 etc
Sticking with the note 9. The best note on the market. Thanks dude.
No!!! The note 6 was the best! 🤣
@@Scotholomew there was no note 6
@@jbrei713 I know there wasnt... But thanks for informing many out there that might have looked up a Note 6 and discovered no such thing... Just a white lie.. The note 7 should have been the Note 6 I guess..

That makes sense if you don't care about the headphone jack
80% of people don't care about the headphone jack
10% "audiophiles"
10% just to find something to cry and bitch about.
especially if you are like me and have the Note 9 with 512 GB and 8 GB RAM. Makes upgrading even harder
I got the note 9 it is a beast no upgrade any time soon !!!!!! Love the videos bro
For those curious as to the literal differences:
Literal pros (note 10+):
1. Less blue light emission (37.5% to be exact than the note 9 (people with glasses rejoice))
2. UF 3.0
3. F2F (faster read speeds?)
4. AR features (like AR doodle)
5. 3D scanning
6. Improved camera (general shots)
7. Display is arguably tougher (mr.whosetheboss dud a durability test so you can use s9 and s10 as benchmarks)
8. 25 watts of charging (45 for the plus)
9. Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor
10. Air gestures
11. Pdf files conversion to word from notes (unless you take a lot of notes or do a lot of office 365 word. It may not matter).
12. Better optical stabilization (different from improved camera which just talks about average shots)
13. HDR 10+ (?)
14. Better cooling
15. 7nm chip so it'll be faster
24. Lasts longer (albeit marginally but hey, it's there)
25. Zoom in audio with camera (highly convenient)
26. Power share.
27. Wireless DeX is possible
28. Better speakers (obsolete if you never use your phone for listening but they are good).
29. Increased haptic feedback so USFC works more often
30. 10 hours of life on the spen with a 6 min charge.
31. Wide angel lens
32. Depth sensor and ToF sensor
33. Runs 1308 nits, this is 25% brighter than the note 9
34. Lowest screen reflectance. 3.4% meaning it's visually more appealing to look at. Although this is marginal so you would most likely not even notice.
36. DeX. note 9 9nly supports DeX on monitors not pcs like the note 10 line.
37. I think that's it though.
Note 9:
1. Has a headphone jack
2. It's cheaper
3. Iris scanning (yes people actually care about this).
4. More ppi (just has lower screen resolution. PP is still important)

Same love the note 9 though
Same, I was sold after handling a 10+ unit in best buy. It makes my note 9 feel like a brick weight wise. Snappier too and the cameras are much better along with the speakers.
For all the money, and hype. The Note 10+ should've had features that were more innovative .
Precisely!
Totally agree

My note 9 is still the best, drops while riding on my bike several times but still alive and also accidentally drop on the pool but still works what can you ask for, its worth a lot for me compare to all other phones.
Now with the android 10 update. this makes the the note 9 virtually a note 10 in many ways.. I believe the Note 9 is the perfect note.

The Note 9 costs more than the reg
Note 10
Great video bro... I own a note 9 and this video helped me keep it lol thanks...
Good for you Bran. You ain't gonna be disappointed for at least another year. Keeping mine too.
Also, in favor of the Note.9, no notch and black dot!

Sounds like the general consensus is: if you have note 9, keep it. If you have something older, go for note 10 plus
yeah but note customers want note phones. we don't care for the S line. so either they get the note 11, which i recommend or if they can't wait, the note 10 plus
Thts the samething every year and ur gonna wabtbto upgrade every year so yh ur gonna have to do alot of waiting
2:50 heyy, runescape. ❤

I just ordered a Note 10, the screen size was the motivator. But for the first time in my note life I am not eager in anyway like what happened when I moved from Note 3 to 4 or 4-5. Even note 8 to note 9 was not all of that. I am keeping my note 9 as a b phone
