Woo hooo what a fantastic video - loved every minute of our travels and of this video - so much fun - just about got over our food coma LOL !!! Big hugs - Chris & Marianne xx
Happy Sunday! Hope you're all having a lovely weekend ✨ Thank you for joining us for another week of van life in Turkey! It's no secret that Turkish food is up there with the best. What country would you choose to do an epic DIY food tour in? 🍲 🍎
Still jealous of you all. Both Linda and I loved Turkey, the Turks are so friendly as you said . I was in my wheelchair when we went and nothing was any trouble help was always at hand. Some of the food was delicious, when we got back home we had to diet☹️ we ate so much. Be good and take care but thank you for showing us those nice places. All our best Linda, Bob and Sir Barkalot 👵👴🐕xx
I'm buzzing, the people, the sights, the food, the companionship amongst fellow travellers, shame about the missing smells, I'm very envious. Thank you for jump starting my wanderlust youth!
Wow the people you met are so nice and the camping space also so forthcoming. Honestly watching this first bit restored some believe in humanity for me 😂😂😂 Also the preparation of this regional food looks more like creating art than actually cooking, so that's for sure something you can't easily diy 😂 Now that my stomach is growling I'll thank you for this week's vlog, have a wonderful day guys, much love 💕 xx
Yes!! I think coming from Western Europe this level of hospitality and friendliness is pretty unusual! But it's SO amazing to experience it 🥰 This is the last food tour we'll probably do in a long time, so no more stomach growls after this one, we promise! Sending lots of love to youuu xx 💕
OMG you're STILL eating 😂...all that food looks so delicious and all I've got for dinner is a meazly pizza!!!!! .....so glad you are having a great time ....see you next week, that's if you haven't exploded haha 🥰🐾xx
I know!! Chris and Marianne are bad influences 😆 Chris said we had to do a food tour of this city, so, we obliged! I think we'll be rolling into the van for a while yet 😂 We haven't had pizza in MONTHS! Enjoy it for us! xx
Seeing that wall between you and Syria reminded me of here and the times they have been trying to put up a wall between us and Mexico. I'm with Ben, I hope someday there is freedom to roam between countries without these walls separating us one from another. It would be great to see all of the Middle East. I had to bake some bread this morning so the smell from my oven and watching you all eat has been awesome. Las Vegas has nothing as far as food buffets compared to Turkey. Love the music you picked out for this road trip. Thank you for another wonderfully put together video for us.....love it!
It really is like that! It's so sad to think we need such borders and walls 😞 Ooo freshly baked bread! I wonder if we can make that in the van 🤔 One of THE best smells! Thank you for coming along with us as always, we look forward to your comments every week 🥰 xx
Same thoughts from Turkey about walls and borders. Until December 2015 both of the Syrians and Turkish citizens could pass the border to the other country even without visas.
Sadly Mexico has a million times better conditions than Syria. Before the wall got built there were a lot of smuggling happening by Syrian groups including even isis and they were even committing terrorist attacks. While western media was wickedly claiming Turkey allowing it to happen!! After the wall pretty much all smuggling could be stopped so sadly there was no other way for safety.
Hey Guys! It’s nice to be watching another episode! The Great Wall of Turkey 🇹🇷 👍, how strange to see such a pile of chillies 🌶 drying.. the coffee break view is quite expansive, and what a friendly farmer! 👌👍. The hospitality shows no bounds. And for them to show you the way onwards, what a man!! 👌👍. Wow! A free campsite! How absolutely brilliant!! 🚿 💦 ⚡️.. I already look like I’m pregnant, so being let loose in a city of food prob not a good idea 😂😂. This Bazaar is so interesting, would take ages to have a look around. My father had a face of horror at the condiments while you were eating, he’s so funny! I thought it all looked amazing, especially the Kofte. Wow! The mixed grill!! 🤩 😯.. I bet you’re so stuffed!! 😂😂. Ah river looks so knackered! And cute!! We’ve got a Turkish takeaway near us and he sells Backlava so going to try some! See you next week guys! Can’t wait!! 👌👍
Pahahah Mark you make us laugh 😂 Yeah the food was amazing! We rolled into the van and I fell into a food coma. Honestly it's hard to explain how much food was in that city, we didn't even see 1/3 of it! Yes try the baklava! Let me know if you love it as much as I do 😋 x
What an excellent video this week, definitely one of your best efforts in terms of content, humour, knowledge, enthusiasm, edititing, just all around a great watch guys well done!
At that 4:04 point, stop the video and take a look at this image, it's incredible. Marianne, who came to Gaziantep from England, is chatting with the local people while eating their pides (gözleme) they have in their hands and with those people, they can talk sincerely as if they have known each other for 40 years, as if they were friends, even though they speak a completely different language. When I paused this scene for a while and analyzed it through the images, my eyes really got tears.
Another great vlog in which we are treated to amazing scenery and spectacular food cheers! I've often thought before this vlog of River and her sense of smell, how things have changed for her. Sending positive vibes to the three of you down a dusty desert highway, a long way from home!
Thank you so much Nick! 💛 Yes we often think of River when we're in places like that, how her nose must be going crazy with all the new smells. Sending love to you in the UK from the wilds of Eastern Turkey 😃 xx

That Baklava looks insanely good!! They are massive too lol. Absolutely loving all the foodie stuff! Ben always looks so happy 😂 Turkey looks so magical, I didn't know pistachios grew on trees 😂 I don't know what I thought they lived on haha

But absolutely loved this vlog, and the next is going to be just as good too! Keep eating your way through Turkey my lovelies!! Doing very good😂😄💕xx
Haha this video should have a disclaimer to only watch if you've eaten 😆 This didn't even scratch the surface of the food places in Gaziantep. I think there were more food places than people!
OMG what a feast ye all had. My favourite Irish stew is so bland compared to what ye had. 🤣 I remember following Travel the Globe when they were in Ireland and really enjoyed their vlogs. Must check out their channel again. Poor wee River looked really tired towards the end there. Such a lovely dog. Stay safe.
Haha yeah Turkish food puts lots of other food to shame 😆 100% follow them again! They're circumnavigating the globe and having some incredible adventures in Turkey. Plus they're just so much fun to watch. We love em 😃
I wonder if the aubergine was Imam Bayaldi (Stuffed Eggplants)? My favourite dish, although I don't remember it being stuffed with buckwheat. Usually tomatoes, garlic, herbs, maybe olives and sometimes raisins.
Some of the local delicacies :
1. Bursa İskender Kebab and Alinazik Kebab - 2. Gaziantep Yaprak Sarması and Biber Dolması - 3. Kayseri Mantı - 4. Konya Lamb Tandır - 5. Vali Kebab (mixed kebab) - 6.Blacksea Pide or Konya Pide - 7. Raki, Fish and Appetizers - 8. Kayseri Yağlama-Develi Cıvıklısı - 9. Mediterranean olive oil foods (Enginar-Kereviz-Türlü-Börülce-) - 10. Turkish Breakfast - 11.Kunefe-Baklava- Hatay Pumpkin Dessert in Lime - Kastamonu Helva - 12. Dry beans and rice - 13.Trabzon Hamsili Pilav, Kaygana, Kuymak, Laz Böreği - 14.Drinks: Şalgam, Ayran, Raki, Turkish Wine, Boza, Salep, Turkish tea - Turkish coffee :)

Haha this video should have a disclaimer to only watch if you've eaten 😆 This didn't even scratch the surface of the food places in Gaziantep. I think there were more food places than people!
İt is possible..Pocket service all world from Gaziantep
30 ekimde ordaydım. Gaziantep demek harika yemekler demek
Ah amazing! Hope you ate your weight in food while you were there! 😃
That is my wonderful country
We love Turkey!! 🇹🇷
No I didn’t like this video ! Bloody jealous of all that fantastic food ! People were amazingly kind towards you all. Thanks Richie.
Haha 😆 Turkish food is just on another level! And yes, the Turkish people are so warm and friendly, their hospitality is famous and now we know why!
Wow if only we could taste it too.
Now THAT'S a technology upgrade I could get behind 🤩
You might need a big doggy bag after that mixed kebab platter! You could feed more then 10 people easy.. LOOKS SOO DELİCİOUS!
Is it really bad we didn't need a doggy bag afterwards?! 🙈Hence the deeep food coma I fell into 😆
OMG what a feast ye all had.
Someone told it's called Dolma! And it's made with rehydrated aubergines. Absolutely delicious! 😋

Envy seeing that platter of meat and bread as I eat microwave lasagne.
God I could actually kill for a lasagne right now!
