Absolutely, play what you'll find more fun or cool!
Bhaalist armor and dual act3 daggers is insane. You get double damage due to pierce vulnerability. You destroy everything.
Pair it with dual hand xbows and it's just crazy.
I think ranged fighter takes better advantage of crit fishing

Definitely does cause you can run knife of the undermountain king and Orin's dagger for 2 additional crit chances
