I think the combo attack menu thingy is just a ploy to make things easier for newcomers to the games and then casting it off as "strategic" to long term fans to stop them complaining. Because those combo attacks, do a lot of damage. But these combo attacks... They seem optional, so you don't need to use them. I think you are complaining about something that isn't designed for someone like you, who have played the series before. Games evolve, and also includes mechanics for newcomers. I also think those floor spells colours, really obscures your view of the enemies, those really need to be toned down!

Seriously, great weapon fighting! Even if Geralt did use a 'two-handed sword' I would put money on it that he would still wield it with one hand lol

You don't think two weapon fighting would be more thematically correct for Geralt at level 2? I mean he does use two swords lol and i definitely wouldn't say that Geralt typically fights 'defensively'

Can I ask why you took Barbarian to lvl 2 first? Wouldn’t it make more sense to just go Barbarian 1 -> Warlock 5 (total lvl 6) -> Barbarian 5 (total lvl 10) -> last two levels or which lever feels good (?)

You don't strictly need ranger for this, either. Especially since Legolas didn't really use magic. At least not anything like DnD magic.

If I was just going with the books as far as his class, it def seems like he was a fighter while in menzobarrazon, best in class. With some ranger skills while in patrol. Then after living in the underdark, he’d definitely be mostly ranger, but as far as the hunter goes, which is what he calls his pure fury, although it’s more like a primal instinct. It might be triggered by rage, buts more just becoming a hunter and survival especially with pure instincts. Unlike a barbarian’s rage that leaves him blinded by anger, drizz’t is more intensely focused with his instincts as a hunter. Of course, with the companions and the replacement companions, he’s mostly a ranger/fighter while also becoming a chosen of lolth and the unicorn(which not sure what that would be, maybe cleric? Idk). And at some point he becomes a monk while training under Cain and with afafrefete(I have no idea how to spell any of these names since I listened to the audiobooks. Victor bevine will always be the voice of Drizzt, jarlaxle, Bruenor, Catti bri, wulfgar, regieis, athrogate(bwahaha), pwent, and the doodad he he he).

Great video! For once, there's an actual demo of how to apply it in the game. Most build videos just go through the build without showcasing how to use it. Thanks for that!

I always stop as soon as I hear “rogue”. I know I’ll hear “thief for another bonus action” and I hear it on almost every build video from every channel, lol. Similar to Raid, all the videos said “speed and accuracy”.

With a wisdom of 10, your thunder wave is not likely to hit mid or late game, correct?

A couple things of note… Taking Cleric second will use Wisdom for any spell saves for spells cast from items. Cleric attack spells will also use Wisdom, so Sacred Flame or Thunderwave from Cleric. Fun build! Looking forward to trying it out!

It’s kinda nuts how often you can 2 for 1 like you said ! Or even more if you accept and are willing to do them. I have leveled so fast! The story really fleshes out too and it makes me feel bad about PSN giving it to me for free!! 🤣🥹

Will Add comments as I go, let us see if we will love this game!: - Very glad they add option to have helmet not visible! No point spending hours in character creator to never see him! - Skill tree so big it giving me anxiety! But i love having options too! - Agree I am not a fan of the lack of armor options, very fallout like with just full outfit rather than different pieces we can mix and match. Disappointing! Where is the love of fashion! - I like the mix of 'hack+slash' with 'real time with pause' type of combat, make for a fluid experience! - Small thing but health pot is a bit strange decision; take me out of the character mindset and making it feel more gamey - I too am worried about enemy spam, I believegame will be best if a variety of challenges await us, some requiring crowd control with large groups and others against less, more strong, enemies! Ok will cut this comment off now because i think I am talking too long! Will enjoy rest of the video!

This is the pretty much the first footage of have seen of Veilguard. Not sure I'm sold yet, and I'm not even sure what it is that is putting me off. I know I definitely need to see more, before committing. Guess I wait until you start uploading videos, and make a decision then. 😁 EDIT: I think it might be the overload of coloured effects. I think of games like Shadow of Mordor, or The Witcher games, and sure they had some flashy moves. But not everything needed to have bright flashy lights, like you have just won the jackpot. Makes me wonder how bad the visual overload will be for the mage. 🤷‍♂

Dos combat has way more freedom and the elements interact in ways that completely transform the environments. Dos is better in most aspects i feel.

if you want to be a bit more efficient. take 17 dex, get ethel's hair dex. go 6 fighter. same feats. 3 ranger for gloomstalker and 3 rogue for assassin (or thief if you'd rather have the bonus action)
