Your choice of music is brilliant. Whenever I turn one of these on, I hold on for a journey in beauty and artistic wonder. You have so much class. Wish I'd known all of this 30 years ago.
Your work and attention to detail is truly admirable. I love the way you paint every detail with the same delicacy and accuracy. Keep up the amazing standards and your videos are very informative, helping me to improve my own models. Thanks David
I am sooo impressed! I've watched a lot of model making videos by other people and your's are by far the best! Great camera work and the most fanatical attention to detail. Well done, keep up the great work!
Hi, Great videos - watching every of your and most of my models are bought based on your "build videos" so I can possibly go step by step same as you. (Ofcourse in worst quality, but giving me the way to go). May I ask what is the camera you use for capture ? Would use it for something different, but looking for some "cheap" solution for video quality like you have. Thank you,
What a great build so far, you are doing an outstanding job. And thank you a lot for your videos, there are not very much so high skilled builders like you ;) Btw. are you going to any Model-Builder-Fair or Mass?
I've recently grabbed my own HobbyBoss Me262, and I seriously wish Quickboost still made their complete engine. The amount of work and time it would save just installing it instead of having to prep all the parts and of course buy a larger set to get the same effect.
Foab Moab is hobbyboss worth the money? Ive been doing airfix, and tamiya. They are A LOT cheaper and still fun, ive never tried a hobbyboss and i dont know a thing about hobbyboss. Academy mig-29? This looks a bit hard as i am not experienced, though i am finding kits too simple and a bit boring
My Me262 is my first HobbyBoss kit, and minus the postage was about £14-15. Very nicely detailed, not many steps, and includes things like the gunbay and some internal detail on the fuselage. I'm not sure how different the Tamiya kit is in terms of options for opening the panels etc, but HobbyBoss does do more variants of the Me262 in this case.; I've got the two-seater version, which includes surplus parts from the night fighter model as well. So far I haven't had any fit issues. Judging from the style and layout of the instructions etc, there is a lot of similarity to Trumpeter kits, but not nearly as complex or parts heavy. I recently built up a Tamiya He162, which comes with a nicely revealed engine, but no gun bays. The HobbyBoss comes with the gun bays, but no engines, lol I haven't built anything Airfix for a long time, since I'm primarily an armour or vehicle builder and their options are fairly limited. Tamiya is usually great quality, although sometimes lacking a bit in detail or modernised versions (for things like tanks) and pricey. Academy's recent kits are really good, almost snap together in some instances. Meng kits are expensive and can be fiddly. They have a good amount of detail, and often moving parts, but many of those are prone to snapping, or temperamental (suspension on their Bradley was a real pain, and it sits slightly off for some reason). Trumpeter is pretty good, but often parts heavy, but they do a lot of obscure subjects. Dragon I'm not particularly fond of, though my experience is with older kits. As it stands, I would say the HobbyBoss is a relatively easy kit to put together, and nicely priced for what you get.
Hello David! Another great model in the making 👍 one thing, do you spray a clear coat before applying the tamiya panel line accent colour? In my experience it (being enamel) would affect the paint below. Could you please explain?? 😩
Yes, of course. I apply clear acrylic varnish before wash every time. The panel line wash is enamel wash, so you must use acrylic colours or cover enamel colour with acrylic varnish. Otherwise, it will dilute base paint.
Hi Plasmo, wonderful work, one question, the metalic Mr.Color paints are acrylic or enamel? do you know if I can use leaveling thinner with MIG acrylic paints?? Thanks.
Hi, Mr. color paints are acrylic almost same like Tamiya xf. I tested leveling thinner with MIG and AK paints and It does not work. The main reason is that Mr color and Tamiya are lacquer based, instead, citadel, Mig, Vallejo, AK are glutiner based. "Glutiner is acrylic resin"
Hlavně laky a surfacer dost smrdí a 512 to vše odfoukne pryč a hadici mám taky nataženou přes otevřené okno.
for photo etch, superglue, for the cockpit and other small parts (eg the control stick) contacta, for large surfaces, like gluing the wings to the fuselage, extra thin poly and finally pva or testors window maker for the clear parts
Your choice of music is brilliant. Whenever I turn one of these on, I hold on for a journey in beauty and artistic wonder. You have so much class. Wish I'd known all of this 30 years ago.
It's very inspiring to see such a beautiful work, now I want to get my dirty hands on some models.
Your work and attention to detail is truly admirable. I love the way you paint every detail with the same delicacy and accuracy. Keep up the amazing standards and your videos are very informative, helping me to improve my own models. Thanks David

Thanks for the video. I really liked the Kai Engel too.
You're making a fantastic job on this kit !
Can you tell me more about your cockpit shading technique ?
Thanks !

Hi, great work. Just a quetion... what kind of glue do you use to bring plastic parts together with the metal parts?
You're the best I've seen so far! I've build a few models myself but I want to get better, could you give me some tips?
Give the pianist some Prozac.
You have an unbelievable skill in your fingers.
Awesome, as always!
Is this kit good? Have you seen the Tamiya kit? If yes, which do you think is the best?
You have a PM from us btw.
Wonderful David
Amazing job!!! Thanks for the explanations

Hey
how do you paint the yellow wire from the Mk 108 cannons at 9:38 ? do you paint them after painting the gun using a small brush?
I like those sharp-point tweezers you're using. Can you tell us what they are, please?
awesome as always!
Very nice!
Incredible work!
wow nice modelling. I saw it is a very inexpensive kit, is that true?
Finally some 1/48! :}
Magnífico !!!
this is the exact same kit as the tamiya one. i made it a while ago. such a great kit
Actually, it is not the same kit. Hobby Boss has made new forms and kit has more details. However, they are very similar.

are you sponsored by tamiya or something?
I do not have any sponsors. Tamiya has a lot of cheap and useful tools and colours so I use them.
