The words that came out my trap when I saw your masking of the wings etc..."bloody hell"! 😳😲 Have a couple or so '262's that I fancy doing, all with the number "13"....even toying with the idea of a Swedish "what if" nightfighter! 🤨🤔 Beautiful work! Really enjoy your videos....👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻

Another great building Greg. Really perfect job. Beautiful swallow. Have a nice weekend and stay safe my friend. Greetings. Aleš 😎👍
Just started mine (list joining up fuselage) - going ok - found issue with gun doors too, and took the shoots off as i wanted to have them closed. I did remember to add weight behind the guns and are using the metal legs.. thanks.. it's a solid kit, and a good basis for a nice 262 - I'm all out for the painting / weathering of a April 45 bird... Oh, I got resin wheels, glad I did...
David R Lentz, Columbus, Ohio, USA (Wednesday, 4 September, 2024) Thank you for the look over your shoulder. You offer us a decidedly unique perspective, as well as a close-up view to observe some genuinely interesting, useful techniques I certainly will remember. I also saw your build of Italeri’s 1:72nd-scale kit of Fairchild’s AC-119K Stinger Gunship, one of the predecessors to the famous Lockheed AC-130 Hercules Gunship. I years past had built that kit (that is a long story, of a glum memory :( SMH). Yours, to my appreciation, was far more accurate in detail and assembly. I had assembled mine airborne, complete with pilots, etc., in a pylon turn . . . .
Brilliant work, I'm still working on my 124th Hurricane. If I could be half as good as you I'd be happy. Thanks for taking the time to put these videos together. We really apprecate it.
This is the reason why I do love german airplanes (although the fact my grand mom served in RAF during the conflict and I have known a lot of CZ fighters), because of fabulous engineering and design. Nice work!
Nicely done, Very nice metal finish. In 1976 i paint stripped a real ME262 to bare metal, There was a large amount of steel used in it`s construction (Nose and engine nacelles) which was much darker than the duralumin area`s, Additionally the Fin leading edge and all undercarriage doors were wood.
Nice call on the metal finish. That is one that you don’t often see in 1/32 262 kits. Good on you for tackling the transparent kit. I don’t have much patience or tolerance for those. I love seeing a fully painted bird, ready to fly.
The ME 262 has ALWAYS BEEN my ALL TIME FAV WWII Aircraft! And THIS was a GREAT BUILD VIDEO! Thanks! Now I want to build one! Or ANOTHER One I should say?! :) Joe
Hi Greg, I know this is an old video, but it inspired me to buy this kit and subscribe to your channel. This was a wonderful build, and the way it was delivered was really informative and enjoyable to watch
To say its a lovely build goes without saying really. What I wanted to thank you for is the video production side of it. Your video is always clear and well shot and together with the excellent commentary, really makes for a great video. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this build.
Excellent build out, having retired, I have renewed my interest in modeling and having to relearn techniques with new materials and kits. Your videos are very helpful in accomplishing this .I am practicing on some old kits stashed back for years. In fact the last clear plastic kit I remember is the large scale P-51 mounted on a base where you could operate the propeller, gear and bomb dropping. Thanks for sharing and Happy Holidays.
Another fantastic , interesting , and educational video / build . I used to make loads of models years ago but sadly now , my eyes and hands will not allow me to partake in this rewarding pastime . Keep up the good work , Greg . The memories come flooding back .
Epic build, fantastic result, Greg. Another thoroughly enjoyable build sequence, commentary and final reveal.....it's a pleasure watching your work....thank you!
What a beautiful model! To be honest I am quite skeptical about clear editions, but here it looks really impressive! I think it works because of a large scale so more details reach viewer eyes.
Great work! A very solid build! There were definitely missed opertunities, like detailing the engine, adding wires throughout, but for a quick build, you did a nice job. I like the putty lines! I’m building this same kit right now!
Another great build Greg, keep them coming. If you're interested Trumpeter makes a SBD Dauntless 1/2 in 1/32 scale and version 1 is a natural metal pre war bird flown by the Marines. The kit is #02241. Looking forward to your next build.
As always brilliant. Like your hurricane build I now want to build one. I am about to start my mk1 1/24 trumpeter hurricane I have the cloth sutton harness for it and I'm just waiting on an instrument panel to arrive. I look forward to your next build mate and Merry Christmas to you and yours. All the best.
Always a highlight to watch your builds Greg! That aloy-finish looks really great, definitely worth the effort! What a shame the fit with the gun-hatches is so bad! Love to see you building those big scale airplanes! Cheers Fedja
I’m in the midst of building a solid fuselage version. My complaints, so far, is the instrument panel is clear, but the instruments are solid, rather backwards, and the nacelles don’t have open panels for engine display, but a nice model otherwise. Thanks for the video
Would love to see you build the BAC TSR-2 in 1/48 from Airfix. It is a rare model but SO beautiful!!! Great video, as usual, impressive and inspirational work!!!!!!
A little hint that may help... We all know about sprue goo well I make 4 different colours 1 black, 1 white, 1 grey and 1 clear. The clear one is really good for canopies and other transparent parts And greetings from New Zealand
That model looks really good with a nice finish. I like how you added the toneality to metal panels although I am not too sure about the puttying as you call it. I would have thought this would be neatly applied to any panel gaps to seal the panels but maybe in the wartime the work was not so neat. Each to their own as you say. Great video, keep them coming. I've just finished the Revell 1/72 Concorde. If you want a challenge give that kit a go but buy a big tube of filler with the kit.
@@GregsModels I notice you use Tamiya Panel Line Accent a lot. Is there anywhere in the UK it can be bought at a sensible price? I have been making up oil washes to do this.
great build and video. really great. you didn’t put primer down and had no pealing away of the sometimes fragile ak metallic paint despite heavy masking, guess the several coats helped?
Amazing work as always, such a great start to the weekend!! My favourite modeller making my favourite plane! Thanks for sharing your talents. Your finishing techniques and execution are second to none. Take care
this is a museum quality model. you are an artist of the first rank...
So satisfying watching an expert at work.
Main Undercarriage, "...a crowbar and a hammer..." LOL . Beautiful work. I can hear the turbo's spooling up.
You Sir are a Master Craftsman!!!
Love the luminum look on the jet components. Its one fancy plan from the past. Movie prop quality for sure..
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
looks amazing
Best build yet, watching you create these masterpieces is both therapeutic, encouraging and relaxing. Thanks so much.
My pleasure 😊
Nice work on the aluminum finish, it looks really good!

Excellent job Greg. What a masking nigthmare. You have the patience of a swiss jeweler. Great and beautiful model. Well done.
Thank you 👍

Loved watching how you attacked the BMF. Amazing stuff. Thanks for taking the time to share.
The commentary here is first class. Thanks for all those insights...especially those dealing with your decisions on detailing.
Howdy from Texas! I've been in this hobby since the '70's and your builds never cease to inspire. Tremendous work!
Enjoy your holiday.
Thanks Mark
I'm just finished the first part of the video but I can already ell you did a really great job wit this one. I still can learn some new tricks.
the Me262 is one of my fav aircraft of WW2. Your build is stunning, gotta build one. Great vid .

Lovely build, shows your craftsmanship to great effect. I enjoyed the build and narrative. Looking forward to the next.

Love the aluminium work, I'll be painting a Trumpy 109k soon enough and may borrow this for the underside

Have a healthy and plentiful New Year!

Excellent work.
I illustrated '711' in a similar factory finish as a commission, a few years ago.
All good fun!
Love
Beautiful job Greg, a natural metal finish and clear fuselage and engine panels, gutsy move and great result!
Well I found your channel a week of so ago as I’m about to kick into the 1/24 109e great modelling and I think the 262 is superb.
I enjoy your builds you have a lot of skill and good judgement. That aside, I really like your delivery, very relatable and honest.
Hi Greg, I know this is an old video, but it inspired me to buy this kit and subscribe to your channel. This was a wonderful build, and the way it was delivered was really informative and enjoyable to watch
Congratulations fantastic result; the aluminium finish is really effective, looks like it is sitting in a museum somewhere.
Who knew you could buy panel line wash?Another terrific build.
Great work, Greg. Fantastic ideas and tips. Thanks!!
👍
Your effort is justified by the outcome, amazing work. Stu NZ
Another excellent video, thank you.
Brilliant love the artistic approach and I know the pitfalls so you have saved me a load of grief well done
Thanks Greg. I love your subtle finishes. Bare metal always scares me so I've never done it!
Great Build Greg, I liked it so much I bought the kit!
