A great recording of a great tune. Tristan has always been my favorite mandolin picker since the first time I ever heard him play. Molly certainly brings it on the guitar! Outstanding duo.
I have no idea how you can make these recordings sound so good even on my terrible phone speaker, but you do. I love the channel. The instruments are amazing and I've found several new favorite musicians. Thank you.
I like this version of Cherokee Shuffle and I enjoyed listening to it. I am very familiar with this tune because we play it regularly for the dances of a local contra dance/folk dance society. I play either bass or piano for these dances.
Molly Tuttle is one of the best guitar players of her generation. I hope she soon gets the mainstream recognition that she should be getting. Great player.
@@mbsnyderc right, I was agreeing with you saying that mainstream never had anything to do with great playing. She’ll (along with the multitude of great pickers) probably never get mainstream recognition. Just like the great pickers before never did outside of the circles that follow that style of music.
@@tylermanharth9110 True ,but many mainstream musicians will someday find them selves without an audience to play to while a masterfull musician will always have a following.
This is so incredible. It is not an overstatement to say it borders on what humans label transcendental.
How much i'd like a new album by Molly playing this kind of stuff!!
I always thought she should formed a duet like this with Sierra Hull.
I like everything she records.
She is phenomenal!
I love this version , these two play so beautifully together
Beautiful and so clean picking Molly&Tristan👏👏👏
Thank you all so much for making this magic 🔥🔥🔥

Tristan. Crisp, clean, and clear. Really well done. Molly is just......... Thanks for posting. Superdave.....
Absolutely beautyfull played by Molly Tuttle and Tristan Scroggins👏
A power duo if there ever was one. Music's magical magnetism brought them together.
Molly Tuttle is just fantastic to listen to and to watch her technique is almost as good as listening.
Beautiful played by Molly Tuttle and Tristan Scroggins !

Does sound amazing!
They got two players who are masters of dynamic control and then recorded them with ribbon mics that each cost about as much as a newer Honda Civic.
They didn't over mic them.
They are using what looks like ear trumpet mics which I recently heard live, and wow. Phenomenal sound.

Molly and that guitar were made for each other ❤
Love this music !!
Thanks from Morocco 🇲🇦
Great picking, sounds super!👏👏👏👍
Every time I watch and listen to Molly I am amazed. She is the best!
Well done, both mix and musicians!! Bravo!!
Great instruments and true talent ... nice guys.
Fantastic! And who knew Lou Diamond Phillips played mandolin? 🤣

Have you seen what is mainstream.great playing has nothing to do with it.
@@mbsnyderc never has. You think Norman Blake and Tony Rice were outselling Neil Young in the late 70’s/early 80’s?
@@tylermanharth9110 No who cares. they all made a living.

Excellent musicianship..!! 🍷
Norms rare guitars have nothing you on your videos :)
Gotta love Molly!
Beautifully played. Love the price tag hanging from the mandolin.
Awesome!!!!
Oh the skills!
Damn this shit is the bomb
Wow! Just wow.........
Whatever Molly did at 1:18 was so cool
Honest question: Is the Cherokee Shuffle another name for Lost Indian or are they separate tunes?
Inspiringly good stuff and criminally under viewed.
I'll be damned if the very talented Tristan Scroggins isn't quoting the traditional Scottish tune "Deil Among the Tailors"!
A new record from them would be a 21st century Rice/Skaggs duo !
It sounds like Tony Rice's guitar.
Yes. You do NOT plug in a mandolin, nor put a pickup in it. Ever. Thank you. Mic'd correctly.
